Day 33 - Sunday - August 8, 2021
BB Math has taken a turn this year. Hamsters still count votes on their fingers, but there's also been a lot of actual arithmetic as Tiffany's been working on learning her multiplication tables. She's said she's embarrassed that everyone now knows she didn't pick that up as a child, but she's working on it now so it's all good. (It also set up a teacher/student dynamic with Derek X, and a comforter/crier dynamic when that came along, which will help offset the later gametalk which will be more puppet/puppetmaster.) This was a rough veto comp and competitors showed their bruises this morning, and Alyssa ranted some more about the helmet. Both Azah and Derek F were did some ranting as they expected one of them to go up in Britini's place. More gametalk will come along later today (and how), and tasks will probably also kick in soon, but they had a relatively late and generally slow start to the day, like they do on Sundays.
Britini, Kyland, Hannah had a circus of a chat wondering what Derek X was going to do tomorrow. All were aware of the backdoor Christian plan but all pretended they weren't. Britini wanted another continengency plan for future safety, repeating her mantra that she knew she was a pawn the other times she was on the block, but didn't this time (she did). Azah, Alyssa, Derek F laughed about Dina Lohan saying "I vict to evote" on Celebs 2, unaware that Derek F has flubbed all four of his voting lines. (Reminder, he mixes up a lot of phrases due to dyslexia, and seems to be good-natured about it.)
Derek X got his Lord of the Latrine outfit and task at 2.45pm. He has to toot his bugle and announce "Lord or Lady (name) is using the latrine" whenever they do, plus door unlocking duties. He was pleased with the costume, and Britini showed him how to make different tones with his bugle, and the rest of them gave it a try as well. Alyssa was the first to pee officially, with several others following, and DX started adding a lot of ad libbed lines to make it even more comical as more of them came along to use the facilities. Britini tried to pitch Alyssa as renom to Derek X, and Xavier and Kyland met about the renom and the vote because of conflicting Royal Flush and Cookout concerns. Kyland also met with Azah, and with Tiffany. Reminder, it would be Kyland's place to sit next to SarahB according to the way Cookout was set up. But we've seen many times on BB how a good plan on paper reads differently when reality comes along. The backyard finally opened and they were able start laundry for their goopy comp clothes and towels, as well as their own clothes.
Whisper convos carried on and as of evening, it seemed those that know Christian will be the renom and target had agreed to it, Kyland reluctantly (and maybe hopeful he could flip the vote by Thursday), and Cookout members discussed their potential votes in twos and threes, so as not to give themselves away, as well as scenarios for future outing or discovery about them being a thing. Christian and Alyssa remained in the dark, so feeds could be drama tomorrow afternoon if they don't find out before then. Tiffany asked Kyland if he knew SarahB before/outside of the show and he swore he didn't. Derek X continued enjoying his task and coming up with new pee and poop lines for everyone. He went off to do his viewer QAs so the selfie camera came out. Alyssa took charge of that and made the first mini interviews Alyssa-centric, but then others took charge. Xavier led a backyard workout for several of them, doing most of it with his bad British accent.
Hannah told Tiffany she wants to give Alyssa a heads up about Christian being the renom. Tiffany just stared at her. And a bit later she told Hannah about SarahB saying she's single. Kyland and SarahB were snuggling and whispering in the hammock and Derek X snuck up on them to toot his bugle, with Tiffany, Claire, Britini watching from the door and laughing. Tiffany went up to Have-not to report to Alyssa and Christian, also snuggling, to retell. They asked her when they should break the news to SarahB that she'd be going on Thursday, and they talked about future plans. So they were still in the dark about Christian going up (and likely out), as of 9pm anyway. Fingers crossed it stays that way: we've earned a blindside and popcorn feeds.

I don't know when we've had a hamster enjoy a task as much as Derek X has been enjoying his. He did his poor bugle toots and toilet announcements loudly and enthusiastically all day. He presented his plunger/scepter to Azah to make her Lady Latrine, and he also struck a royal pose with Tiffany. He did start to get over it at the end of the night, but he'll have an hour or two after the veto meeting tomorrow before his 24 hours are up: that could be fun if Christian or Alyssa have to go. Apparently Christian said if he does end up on the block he'll "eat everything" - that would be a penalty vote if he does. Claire's and Kyland's tasks didn't start yet which is unusual, but they'll come. And they didn't get a booze delivery tonight, even though they did the last three Sundays. Derek X and Azah made another great dinner for the Haves, and they and Kyland worked up a key lime pie for SarahB's birthday at midnight. Kyland and Xavier carried her on their shoulders as everyone gathered to sing.
All systems are go for Christian to go on the block in a blindside tomorrow. Feeds usually come back from veto meeting around 1pm Pacific/BB time, so plan your popcorn accordingly.

Day 32 - Saturday - August 7, 2021
Alyssa, Claire, Kyland were picked to play veto, which completes the template for a classic backdoor plan for Christian's exit. But nothing is simple in BB: if you missed it, late last night Tiffany, Claire, Hannah agreed they'd rather SarahB go than Christian. Tiffany said she might give Christian a heads up to gun for it if he was picked but he wasn't, so that was delayed. She did tell Christian after the draw that she doesn't want Alyssa to use it if she wins, and they'd talk about it later. Alyssa had already told Christian she wouldn't. Tiffany, Claire, Derek X agreed DX should throw it if possible, as he's made too many promises, and Tiffany and Claire told him they'd get Christian out next week if SarahB ends up going this week. Derek X told us he couldn't throw the comp to Alyssa and he'd use veto on SarahB if he wins. Alyssa asked Derek X if there was a plan to backdoor Christian and he said no. Twice. SarahB also told her there wasn't. Ironic, since Alyssa and Christian agreed last night there wasn't a backdoor plan in place to boot him, and then they proceeded to plan Derek X's backdoor exit next week.
Britini gave a long anti-Alyssa pitch to Derek X, and thought she convinced him to put her up if she doesn't win. (She didn't convince him of anything.) Tiffany and Xavier had a check-in in HOH, with Xavier saying he thought worst case today would be a Britini win as another Joker would go up and SarahB would go, but if it ends up Christian versus SarahB, he'd want to keep Christian. Tiffany ran her anti-Kyland loops, saying he's got F2s with her, SarahB, Derek X. Xavier said he was playing Tyler's game and Tiffany said he thinks he's playing a Derrick game. She also said they have their mission for the six (Cookout) but she doesn't trust everyone in it. She said she does trust Xavier, Hannah, Derek X, Claire. Xavier said he trusts Alyssa and Christian most outside of the six, and both agreed they should have a Plan B. Derek X joined, Tiffany joked about being his lawyer and he doesn't have to say anything before she left. DX told Xavier he'd use veto on SarahB if he wins but then backtracked to say he'd have two options, leave noms the same or put up Derek F in SarahB's place.
SarahB pitched her cockamamie plan to Britini, trying to get Britini to throw the veto to her, and Britini happily spread that story around. SarahB said something about getting a Disney pass because she's single, why not? Tiffany happily spread that story around, adding it as fuel to her fire about SarahB and Kyland being a pre-existing duo or America's Pair etc, since SarahB has told them she has a girlfriend. Xavier was one of the people Tiffany told, and she also told him she'd gotten Derek X to put SarahB on the block. And Tiffany told us "I might flip this damn vote, I love DX and all, but for my game and the rest of my team, I need Sarah Beth to go home and I need her to go home ASAP." Tiffany also told Claire she didn't think SarahB "would come on here and lie about her sexuality, however she seems way more interested in guys than girls."
We'll see what happens. Lies are growing and spreading, things are getting messy, and we might end up with drama after veto comp today and/or after veto meeting Monday, and we might end up with our first Waffle Wednesday of the season.
Feeds went down for their comp a little after 6pm and came back almost exactly five hours later, and Britini had won the veto. She was already running the entire veto meeting script for Claire when feeds returned, but she's the first female to win one of the big ticket comps of the season so kudos for that. Competitors were wearing 80s style workout gear, and Britini had a fanny pack that said VICEROY OF VETO. It was a pass the prizes veto, and it sounded like they had several stages of workouts to do that included squatting, something rotating, and a "neck one." Most of them were bruised and banged up. Alyssa griped that her helmet didn't fit and said she won't say she lost the comp, because of that. Both Hannah and Tiffany said SarahB was "talking shit on the bench" about Britini being dramatic. Tiffany made her rounds like she was teleporting to console losers, cheer winners, boosting some up and tearing others down. She was everywhere, as was griping about this one taking one prize and that one turning down another, most notably SarahB turning down the veto to take the cash.
There was also a lot of discussion and scenario running about what will happen Monday, with many of them still in the dark about Derek X's plan to backdoor Christian. SarahB loosed some tears with Kyland comforting her, and she also laughed some, saying her birthday Monday will be another Keesha's birthday. She said "this is gonna be the most stressful birthday of my life, literally we're gonna have the veto ceremony and then we're gonna eat frickin cake." Kyland visited Derek X later, and told him "whatever you want to do" with a hug.
The fanny packs indicated the prizes/punishments:
Britini - Viceroy of Veto - veto
SarahB - Baroness of Bling - $5,000
Alyssa - Count of Communication - phone call now, video call in 4 weeks, phone, laptop
Derek X - Lord of the Latrine - 24 hour bathroom attendant
Kyland - Jackass of Clubs - making club sandwiches maybe in costume?
Claire - Duke of the Deck - 52 Pickup, maybe in costume?

At cast reveal I thought international flight attendant would mean great people skills, but no. He came in boasting of charm but it didn't last long. His talk about girls and dating, and his behavior towards several women in there, were problematic and bound to get worse if he'd stayed. He was happy to be Frenchie's lieutenant for the chaotic first week but then Brent turned on him and practically denied ever being with him. He had zero self-awareness about all this and the edits skewered him as they did Frenchie, proving once again if you do clownery, you'll get the clown music.

2nd evicted - Day 16
Cast reveal brought controversy plus a major Cody/Derrick mixup, and the feeds opened to him announcing he wouldn't put up a woman or minority, but then he put up Alyssa and Kyland, and it was downhill from there. He did everything a feedster should know not to do: shouting in Diary, talking in cliches, Bomb Squadding, pandering, power-tripping, mistaking BB history items, grandstanding, begging for a viewer save, and threatening to quit. Still, all that gave us a wild ride and super-chaotic first week of feeds that we'd never be able to piece together if we hadn't seen it unfold.

I barely know who he was. He dressed in drag (and looked okay doing so), he gave Kyland a birthday lap dance, took his shirt off for his nominee speech, and complained to Julie that white guys with abs are targets. And he didn't do much to prevent his eviction. That's all I got. Aloha.
