Day 12 - Sunday - July 18, 2021
Britini explained her name spelling, saying it was supposed to be Britni but her dad was exhausted when he filled out the paperwork and he added the extra i by mistake. Later she had another camera talk, saying she's okay, she might find an envelope in Diary but she thinks she'll stay anyway, she doesn't want HOH, and "this is Azah, she's awesome!"
Claire and Derek X had a lengthy check-in, with Claire saying she'd be worried if Brent or Whitney win HOH. Derek X said if it's a wall comp he'd throw it to Claire or Tiffany as Brent and Whitney would be safe if he's HOH. (It won't be a wall.) And he said he's sticking with Claire, Tiffany, Kyland going forward. They talked/joked about influencing later and how it's not sustainable. They said Only Fans can earn "six figs" and Claire said "that's not a lifelong thing, and then you'd have to make the jump to pornography." I kind of hope jobs/careers come out eventually as it could make for some interesting and smarter-than-usual chat. I don't think we've ever had this many high powered, brainy hamsters all at the same time.
Derek X continued his rounds later, having a lengthy chat with not-a-showmance Alyssa and Christian. Derek F also revved up his social rounds, getting reacquainted with hamsters not named Frenchie.
It was a relaxing day for them (and us), with a lot of snacking, sunning, pool time, and chit-chat: basically our usual summer pattern. Christian and Alyssa stayed more or less glued to each other, and decided they'd be called Chrisalyss. Britini did another talk/show for us, including her nominee speech which will be in the form of a rap. Frenchie told her he's going home and he's okay with that (reminder, he has been known to lie), and he told Derek F he was surprised they haven't had an earthquake yet. In answer to Derek X's earlier chat to Claire about not trusting Whitney, Whitney told Alyssa she's glad he's on her team because she really trusts him. Azah and Derek F said both their moms wondered why they were going on BB as they thought it was just people having and/or talking about sex.
The selfie camera came out and Derek F went around interviewing hamsters. (He's fun to poke at for always lounging or laying down, #LeaningDerekF, and he only leaned on the pool table here to steady the camera, but I've learned from BB editors how to go for the cheap and easy shot.) Some played along in character and some as themselves. Frenchie started dropping paranoia seeds but I don't think any of them took root. He said what if there's a casting twist, maybe people are related or not who they say they are, maybe there's a saboteur, etc. Claire, who may have been playing dumb, asked what did the saboteur do? SarahB said "not much" and explained she was evicted early. Derek F said he thought everyone is who they say they are except Xavier, "I think X is a lawyer." DIRECT HIT! That got Xavier's attention but he covered quickly and well, goofing that yes he's a lawyer and Frenchie's his brother. Derek F carried it on though, saying "X is super smart, I think he's a lawyer."
There have been a few murmurs about keeping Frenchie, from Derek F last night and Christian today, and while I doubt they'll come to anything, let's get through tomorrow's veto meeting first. The veto won't be used, but it's always nice to get the noms officially finalized before starting the vote waffling. Frenchie seemed resigned to go as of today, but he's got a lot of time until they vote and there's no telling what he might come up with by then. I think they're all tired of his loops, and his unwillingness to accept any responsibility for the position he's put himself in.
Something happened behind nofishies that caused some tension. It sounded like Tiffany yelled at Derek X about a dish, and Derek F said she'd been too harsh? Again, it wasn't on feeds. Derek F probably doesn't know how close Tiffany and Derek X are, Frenchie tried to referee Tiffany and Derek F, and they both told him they were discussing, not fighting. That ended with Tiffany going to her room, Derek F and Frenchie followed, resulting in apologies and rehashes and a three-way hug with Tiffany saying she couldn't breathe, they smelled like deodorant and cologne. They got a booze delivery, plus ice cream Britini could eat, and most of them gathered for The Big Blue Couch show, and then a very LOUD round of F-M-K about their teamies. The elaborate living room table broke, we had several series of nofishies, and they played a game of sippy Mafia.

Day 11 - Saturday - July 17, 2021
They picked players for today's veto: Alyssa, Claire, Derek X. The weekly scramble kicked off in earnest, with frenzied meetings all over town about whether it should be used or not, depending who wins - things they'll repeat again after the comp, and again before Monday's meeting. Frenchie was still going around announcing he'll use it on Britini if he wins. Maybe he will, and he wants to save face (too late) and get out while he can, but after what we experienced last week, he's probably working a dozen agendas to stay. Most everyone went along with whatever he said to his face, and whispered about what a trainwreck he's been behind his back. In other news, Azah and Derek X agreed to share info with each other, with a fist bump.
Feeds were down from 1.09pm to 5.42pm for their veto comp, which Derek X won again. He and Kyland had a lengthy talk which included retelling Frenchie's veto spiels to each of them last week, and of course future plans for their games. Britini said the comp was fun and she had a blast, but she wasn't looking forward to being on the block for five days. It was a timed comp that included running between various stations, digging for things, and getting stuff shot in their faces.
Frenchie was mostly quiet, morose even, and he started packing. Britini commiserated a bit, saying "damn, we had good times too" to which he just grunted "mm-hmm." He came out and sat with Derek F, who was prepping to lose his boo. Azah shared a lot more details of Frenchie's Week 1 reign of terror to Tiffany (who likely already knew most of it). Britini told Azah about her pitches to viewers last night, and said they could probably sway Derek X to use his veto on her if they said the right things. That's highly doubtful, and she doesn't even need to put up a fight to stay since Frenchie's departure is all but guaranteed, but good for her for planning to campaign. Frenchie started his farewell rounds.
Post-veto adrenalin finally settled down and they scattered to various corners. Kyland and Derek X had a marathon strategy session, laying out the season's potential scenarios with chess pieces. Unfortunately they didn't use names most of the time, so it was hard/impossible to follow. Azah and Xavier had a check-in that had a somewhat awkward tone, but it wasn't clear why. More awkward arrived when Britini burst in to retell BB16 Zach's nominee speech, and then left after Xavier said they were talking and could they have a second. Tiffany and Xavier had a check-in that included scoffing at Frenchie's claims that the ratings would drop if he goes, and Xavier agreed the Kings/Queens/Derek X alliance was a good idea. Frenchie continued farewell rounds, and coached Derek F and Brent on how to play without him, and went back to his cockamamie idea that viewers were voting to keep him.
Next up on his rounds, Frenchie sat down with Whitney to hash out their issues. She said she probably wasn't going to be very receptive because of his track record, and she wasn't. He said he's had to do things, he was asked to do things, and he was talked into doing things that he'd normally never do, and it hurt his heart, but she wasn't having it and she clocked him right and left. After one of his repetitive rambling loops she said "what are you talking about?" Then he sort of teared up talking about their drama yesterday (that we didn't see), saying he realized "you don't point your finger at a woman and say 'I'm done'." On and on it went, while loud laughter was bleeding over from what sounded like a very fun group convo elsewhere. Frenchie finally looped back to "I did not want to put a woman up, I did not want to put a minority up" yet he did. Meanwhile Brent had a heart to heart with Hannah and Alyssa about losing his dad.
Frenchie announced he was going to go to Diary and quit, rather than chance weeks in a hotel room in case there's a Battle Back. Britini finally met with Kyland and Derek X about the veto, and was told in a very roundabout way that it wasn't going to be used. She later told Derek F that she promised Kyland and Derek X safety if she wins HOH (something she did not have to do). Frenchie returned from Diary, as we knew he would, claiming he was "just mad." So were a lot of feedsters for all the quitting talk because it causes extended nofishies, as it equals "talking about production." The backyard finally opened for maybe the third time all season and they all poured out there, gasping for fresh air and laundry machines. Dr Will's Porch is a great addition to the yard, and really pretty at night.

I barely know who he was. He dressed in drag (and looked okay doing so), he gave Kyland a birthday lap dance, took his shirt off for his nominee speech, and complained to Julie that white guys with abs are targets. And he didn't do much to prevent his eviction. That's all I got. Aloha.
