Daily Feeds RecapsDay 65 - Thursday 8/22/19They had a lot of bird calls in the wee hours, more than usual for these overnight memory clues. At 6.03am they heard a review of all of them, with several hamsters sitting up in bed trying to absorb the info in their sleepy states. The review order was: red-throated falcon, condor, flycatcher, long-tailed mockingbird, Brecon buff goose, sharp-shinned hawks, white-tailed eagle, yellow-billed loon, wild snow owl, captive snow owl, male parrot, female parrot, miniature warbler, European robin, blue robin, blackbird, crow. Not only was this a different overall order than they'd been played, but some pairs were switched, pink flamingo and five baby hawks were missing, and one or two of those may have been added without having been played earlier. The review wrapped up with "you never know when the sounds of the wild might save your hide." Several of them noticed the discrepancies as they compared notes and studied when they got up.Confirmation was passed around (again) that Analyse would be going rather than Christie. Jackson punked Christie by telling her he'd thought about it and couldn't keep her, then said he was just kidding. Cliff, Jessica, Nicole, and sniffling Tommy planned to warn Analyse, but eventually Nick was the one to tell her she's toast. She cried, and ranted, and leaned, with Christie rushing in to do damage control/jury management, and rant about how much she hates it, and she encouraged Analyse in putting all the blame on Jackson. Analyse sniffled that she didn't care, as she alternated crying and adding more makeup. Jackson arrived and Christie asked him to confirm things. Analyse said she didn't want to hear from him and she "fuckin hates" him, he's dead to her, and another minor fight went on the tally. He denied having told her she was a pawn, and that he'd vote to keep her in a tie - both of which he did indeed do (though I can't confirm he used the "pawn" word, which might be his justification technicality here). Julie wore a peculiar combo of dental hygienist outfit and #Deathrace2019 hair (she later told the hamsters they'd inspired the hair? I don't know). She told us this would be Prank Week (the America's Prankster vote had already been discovered this afternoon), and she introduced a very abbreviated version of Taco Tuesday Fight Night along with the usual recaps that included a very abbreviated version of the vote flip. She gave the first voting fakeout of the season, saying "by a vote of five to one, Christie.. you are safe." Nick was the dissenting vote. Julie told Analyse "we have a lot to talk about" but I don't think they talked about that much. Julie then opened the Prankster vote - see left sidebar for links and more info. Julie lined them up in their QA booths but then informed them the birdcalls all night were a prank by BB, and a wall opened to the real comp set. It was called Prank Shot and they had to roll a ball down a long, tapering board with sequential numbered slots on the side. Highest score would win HOH, and the two lowest would get a Prank Week punishment. Scores in order were: Holly 50 (highest possible), Cliff 18, Nick 34, Nicole 18, Christie 21, Jessica 3, Tommy 41, meaning Holly won and became the first repeat HOH of the season, and Jessica plus tied Cliff and Nicole will get the punishment. Cliff, Jessica, Nicole got their assignment around 9.30pm. For "the rest of the week" every time they get a pie signal, they have to gather pie-making parts from the pantry (crusts and whipped cream), make pies, and smash them into the face(s) of whoever the pie signal says. The first one had them smashing their own faces. A crowd gathered and the pies went splat, to everyone's delight. While those three went to Diary, the rest of them goofed about Gr8ful and Six Shooters, and Nick said he found out about the Six "by accident" when someone in Diary asked him about the Six - whether staffer slipped and made a mistake or intentional, he didn't know. Holly hollered about her room just before 10.30pm and they trooped up to see her stuff. She got pics of her doggie Jackson and his doggie girlfriend, and her girlfriends, and the brand new baby boy one of them had June 13. She got a dream catcher, pinot wine, LaCroix waters, a headband she tried to give to Nicole but kept, sweats, a hat she didn't like, nail polish, a sleep mask, sushi, power bars, beets again (canned and dried), mangoes again, salsa again, ice cream, oils and lotions, an owl eyes necklace from Pop, and the usual convenience store aisle worth of cereals and snacks. Her music was Shania Twain and her letter was from her friend Carissa who had the new baby. Jackson, Christie, Nick yucked it up for quite awhile like long lost besties, which was odd but not surprising for BB. Later with Tommy and Holly, and without Nick, Christie gloated about having "just fuckin spun a whole house and poor Sis went home." Jackson cut her off and said "new subject." Cliff, Jessica, Nicole got their second pie signal around 11.40pm, with directions to smash into each other's faces, which they happily did. As soon as they finished, they got another call to do it again, and they did. Neither the pie throwers or the watchers could stop laughing, and a ginormous mess was made in the kitchen. You just know this is a call to arms for Team Ants. Never mind that several of them arranged a trash bag and saran wrap safety zone for future pie smashings, Team Ants always prevails - especially when there's graham cracker crumbs and whipped cream residue everywhere. They got another pie signal at 1.02am with directions to smash their own faces, in slow motion. That was a lot less messy, and Jessica turned it into high drama. Get the feeds to see it all unfold live and/or with flashback! Day 66 - Friday 8/23/19Cliff, Jessica, Nicole had a pie signal at 3.17am and each had to wake someone up with a pie in their face. Cliff got Tommy, Nicole got Nick, and Jessica got Christie, all in their beds. They had another slow-mo-to-self today at 10.48am but that one wasn't on feeds. They were told about America's Prankster and how it works, and that sent Holly spinning. Several laid around the living room as everyone was called into Diary one by one, probably to check moods or expressions when they came out. Holly held her pre-nom meetings and told Jessica, Christie she wanted Nick gone, but she was afraid this twist would mess up those plans. She told Cliff she'd probably put up Nick or Christie. Cliff also told Holly he'd still like to go to final four with her, Nicole, Jackson but added "not officially or anything" - interesting as they finally did get around to that handshake. After checking to see if anyone was in the lounge, Nick told us he got the Prankster power and said he needed it, he thanked us, and said he loves us. Then he said "I'm going to take a shit now." Of course BB Twitter erupted and predictably started crying "rigged!" People forget feedsters are a drop in the bucket to the overall CBS audience, who'd just seen the Nick versus Christie fight, and who'd already sent Christie on the Field Trip. I'm guessing this vote was legit and Nick got it to target Christie. Don't forget TV-onlies haven't seen #NoBoundariesNick, other than a quick humping clip they've run a couple times with no context. They got the middle sized table for eight right on schedule, and they congratulated themselves for reaching this milestone - although most didn't realize there always is a middle sized table between the giant move-in one and the tiny table for final four. The new table did not have middle sized fake fire logs, which was too bad as it would have made a cute side theme to reduce those down until there was one little log on the tiny table. Speculation and assumptions ran amok, like they do, about who got the Prankster and what they'll do with it. Jackson said if it was him, he'd put himself up to be able to play in veto, and then he'd put up Christie or Nick as renom and get one of them out. He and Holly discussed the idea of doing that to play out that scenario, agreeing it'd be risky but Jackson said he loved the idea. Instead, they went back to Holly planning to put up Nick and if he comes off, they'd want Christie to up and out. They agreed to set up Christie to confront Nick again by telling her Nick had told Holly that Christie offered to throw the HOH comp to him in return for safety. They also agreed that however things play out, they didn't want Tommy on the block, and that Jackson will shmooz Nick after noms to say he didn't think he's Holly's target. Holly and Jackson decided to arrange that confrontation before noms so they summoned Christie to HOH around 3.39pm and told her Nick had reported her alleged offer to throw the HOH to him, and Holly added "I have Jackson here" as witness/mediator, though she didn't use those words. Christie reacted in a big way, like she does, and sputtered and spewed a lot of words, including "he's a fuckin liar, bring him up here right now!" They held off on that until 3.54pm when Nick was summoned to join. They argued about who said what, with Christie saying "you got up on your knees and said 'you have my word I am not coming after you!'" Nick sputtered and stammered, saying "I.. I.. I coulda swore I said she never said she was gonna throw it." Holly and Jackson jumped in here and there, mostly about semantics whether the words "approached" and "throw" were used. Eventually Nick said he'd promised Christie he wouldn't nominate her, but he didn't say he wouldn't put her up as renom, and he also said it was if the comp came down to him versus Christie at the end. Christie argued the part about the renom, Nick asked if she was sure, and Christie swore on her sister's life, like she does. Nick finally said "the only reason I made that deal, I was under the impression if it was me and you that you'd let me win," and he did acknowledge using the word "approach." So it wasn't much but it put them on the minor fights tally, and then feeds went to puppies and kitties for noms at 4.23pm Holly nominated Nick, and Nick as designated Prankster secretly nominated Christie. Feeds came back to the usual hugs, Nick saying he knew he was going up, and Christie saying she was okay (we'll see). Jackson told Holly "it had to be Nicole" who put up Christie, and Holly said "good, Nicole needs to make a move, I'm happy for her." She also said Nicole was the only one who didn't go up for a pre-noms talk with her. Tommy went to HOH to ask what happened before noms with Nick and Christie, saying he'd heard the shouting, and Holly retold most of that with some input from Jackson. Tommy said he was in an awkward position between both nominees, and said he had been thinking Christie was the Prankster until her face went up on the screen. Holly was perturbed because she forgot to say something she'd planned to say. Nick, Christie, Jessica, Nicole talked about the veto comp, betting it would be Hide 'n Go veto, the one where they trash the house. (It was for last year's Zingbot day.) To her credit, Christie took this nomination a lot better than the first time she went up as a result of a viewer vote, and better than last week's nominations also. Jackson unintentionally re-enacted The Fly episode from Breaking Bad in the kitchen. Like Walter White, he did not get the fly. They got another pie signal at 7.31pm instructing them to pie everyone. Feeds went to fishies for a few minutes but came back for all the pie smashings, other than Nicole getting Nick, which she apparently did in Diary. Speculation continued about who the Prankster was, with Jackson, Christie, Tommy thinking it was probably Cliff, Nicole, or Nick. Overall it was a quiet evening, other than pies, with nothing taped today for Sunday's show, other than pies, making me wonder when was the last time they didn't have a comp or some big event like a visiting performer or engagement party on a Sunday show. And I wondered if Julie might tell them next Thursday "ha ha, Prank Week, this week will reset" and then she'll have them do another full week cycle on the show. That would deliver her promise that one would be evicted and fulfill the frenzy and excitement of the annual double eviction show, and keep us on schedule leading into finale (assuming they'll do the usual taped "special" eviction the week before). We'll see. Nick started up again, asking Jackson why he thought he'd make a deal with Christie of all people. Christie dramatically retold her pre-noms spat with Nick to Jessica. Various convos happened about possible Houseguest Choice chips, like they do. Jackson and Tommy started zit surgery on Nick's face, neck, ears, and back. They cheered when they got a good one, Christie joined to get in on that action, and Jessica kept hollering at them to be disinfecting as they went. They didn't and they were proud of it. The whole thing grossed out Cliff, and most of us. Most of them were in bed by 10.30pm, but then Diary calls started up about noms. Holly announced she'd done her first Diary with no makeup, but when Jackson was called he asked for some of her "paint" because he'd been picking at his face. He applied it himself. Most were asleep or nearly asleep when Nicole got a solo pie signal at 11.31pm to smash in her own face. Cliff, Christie, Jessica, Nick, Tommy accompanied her. That was followed by another solo signal for Cliff, and Holly and Jackson went out on their balcony for that one. So everyone was up again, Holly and Jackson went back into their lair, and most of the others started eating again. Jessica's solo call finally came at 1.23am after everyone was back asleep. Cliff, Christie, Nicole, Tommy got up to accompany her. Get the feeds to see it all unfold live and/or with flashback! If you missed what's come before, click the ever-present "previous Hamsterwatch episode" link way up top for my previous recaps and/or check the feeds updates in Hamsterwatch Forum by @UGotBronx. Day 67 - Saturday 8/24/19Cliff, Jackson, Jessica were drawn to play for veto with Holly, Christie, Nick, with Nicole hosting (if she isn't bumped for Zingbot) and Tommy sitting out. Nicole's only played in one veto comp, the first one, way back on June 27. I don't think there were any more pie signals since Jessica wrapped up the trio of solo smashings around 1.30am.Christie (in towel) joked with Holly (applying makeup) that she's always in a towel for key convos, and Holly said she's always in half makeup and working on the rest. Holly added "I just look like such a vain like girl that's always doing her makeup." (Accurate, as is always talking about it. You have to wonder if the topic has come up in Diary recently.) Christie told Holly and Jackson it would be okay if the noms stay the same (ha!) and she talked like she was on the block as a pawn, and this nomination fulfilled her obligation of their deal. When Christie left, Holly was annoyed by that and told Jackson "like no, I didn't put you up.. somebody else put you up." Holly also said she was mad at herself for having told Christie before noms that she might go up as a pawn. Meanwhile Jackson asked "how do you know where to put it?" as Holly was applying makeup, and she lie-replied "I just guess." Cliff told Holly and Jackson he'd vote out Nick per their wishes, and Nicole told Nick she'd vote out Christie. Like Analyse a couple weeks ago, Nicole put in some time shaving her clothes head to toe. Christie continued her rounds, asking Cliff and then Jessica if they won veto, would they use it on Nick? That made Jessica cackle and fall over. Christie repeated that she thought she'd be okay if noms stay the same. Cliff told Nicole he'd already told Holly and Jackson he'd vote out Nick over Christie, but he added Christie scares him more. He also said if he wins HOH he'd put up Christie and Tommy. Feeds were down about two and a half hours and when they came back, Jackson had won the veto, again. He told Nick in the lounge he can't use it because "it's Holly's deal, I'm sorry." Nick told him he was the Prankster and "I hope you do see I've been loyal to you, I could have put you up." Jackson apologized again, with Nick asking him to keep the Prankster info between themselves. But this being the blabbermouth season, within minutes, Nick had also told Tommy, and Nicole, and Jackson told Holly. Holly said maybe they could "cut a sick deal with Nick" to get Christie out but Jackson said no. They were wearing FREE THE ZING shirts as Zingbot was apparently imprisoned, and the comp sounded like it might have been a pachinko type setup? It involved shooting bocce-type balls and keeping pace, and something about people being clustered together towards the end. Christie had a ball "stuck up top" at some point, and said or hinted to Holly and Jackson that she threw it to prove her loyalty (HA!) Nick was second behind Jackson with 2 to go, Cliff had 8, Jessica and Holly had 9, and Christie had 16. Most of the chatter when feeds came back was about the comp, other than Holly saying "if Trump had been impeached, I don't think they'd have done that comp," so it sounded like there was also a political angle to the Zingbot setup again. (file photo) These were the zings (or the gists of them), per retells and discussion: Christie "Taco Tuesday got a little loud, but it wasn't your voice.. it was your chewing" Cliff something about being "busty and voluptuous" and his "side boob" and "bodacious body" Holly "Nicole, you've been living in a house for 67 days with an old buzzard.. Holly" Jackson "should I call you Jackson, should I call you Michie, or should I just call you what you are, a pompous douchebag" plus something about "chess not checkers" (which confused Holly, as she heard that as "a chestnut checker") Jessica something about being a "snoozefest" and having no game Nick something about his haircut, "did somebody drop a bowl on him" (apparently he didn't get it) Nicole something about being a boring loser with no friends, and having "no contact with the outside world, just like at home" Tommy something about saying "amazing" all the time and being an attention whore (he dropped to the floor in response) Evening was a snooze with very extended hunting chat from Jackson, plus a snipe hunting contribution from Cliff that went over all their heads. To her credit, Holly didn't add much input to the hunting chat (even though the family ranch is as much or more about hunting excursions than it is about playing cowboy on the ol' trail). Somehow that led to Jackson discussing the differences between oxford and button-down shirts and the evening was looking like a total loss. Then they got talking about their zings again, and Nick still being confused about his. At some point he realized his hair zing may have been based on his photo wall pic, and Tommy said he had "Liza Minnelli bangs" in it. When they asked if Nick had shouted out his barber, the rest of them erupted with laughter since he's talked glowingly about Dom the barber all season. Nick was then called in to Diary for his retells of the zings and the comp, and he donned a bowl on his head to ask if he should wear it in there - he did. Blessed 10pm arrived and Jessica trundled off to bed, having visibly fought sleep for two or three hours. And Christie followed her to campaign. Others joined and Christie said she believed she's disliked by "America" and blamed that on her spirituality, her bluntness, and a myriad of other (inaccurate) reasons. They got talking about their zings again, and Nick said "people must have been literally like what the fuck" about his photo (accurate). He added he was supposed to flip the front of his hair up for the photo, but didn't. They agreed Holly's "buzzard" was pretty bad and Christie said Tommy's "attention whore" wasn't so bad compared to that. Nick said "he's my attention whore!" and humped Tommy, and said they should have zinged him about his humping, but added that wouldn't be good for his job (oops). Tommy then trimmed Nick's toenails, on Nicole's bed. Upstairs, Jackson told Holly his zing bothered him especially after he'd tried so hard to change his image (after his Diary scoldings). He said he'd put on weight and started wearing shirts to be "more approachable" and it was all for nothing, and he wondered if it was "a few producers or the whole country" that thought he's a "pompous douchebag." (Spoiler: the producers and editors have been very good to him.) They finally got another pie signal at 11.06pm with directions for each of the three to surprise someone else. Cliff smashed Tommy who wasn't surprised, Jessica smashed Christie who wasn't surprised, and Nicole went to smash Jackson and got surprised. That set off open warfare and a pie standoff between Nicole and Jackson. The backyard opened and Nicole stalked Jackson with pie in hand but he escaped. She went into the pantry, prepped a second pie and waited, while Jackson waited outside the door. After a very, very long time Jackson pulled open the door and pies flew. Nicole and Jackson kept the pie war going for several more tosses, with Nicole getting the worst of it. BB told them "cool your jets" and "chill out!" but they kept going all over the habitat, and the pies, plus some water, kept flying. Eventually Nicole got Jackson and felt she'd fulfilled her assignment, and the pie war came to an end. Meanwhile on the hammock, Nick campaigned to Tommy who asked what his best move would be. Nick said he thought he'd stay against Christie if he has Tommy's vote, and Tommy said "I can't guarantee that right now." They discussed various options of Nick going to Jackson, asking him to use his veto, and various offshoot loops from that including "but it's Holly's HOH" and "but they're playing separate games, they keep saying so," and Nick said he regretted having told Jackson he had the Prankster power. Tommy finally admitted that he'd promised Christie he wouldn't vote her out as part of a deal between him, Christie, Holly, and Jackson. Nick realized he was toast if Jackson doesn't use his veto, and that Jackson had already told him he wouldn't. Nick went up to campaign to Jackson, with Tommy, and spewed his fast-talking words, words, words, like he does, including saying he'd pitch to Holly that he'd put up whoever she wanted as renom, and he'd throw the next HOH, and etc etc. Jackson later reported that to Holly who said "I don't want anyone else up right now." When Jackson suggested running scenarios, she said the next person she'd want out would be Christie anyway, so she wanted to keep the noms the same regardless. Christie cried to Nick, who told her he's the one who put her up, and they too ran scenarios for how to get out of the mess they're both in. So that leaves just Cliff and Jessica who don't know Nick's the Prankster, as far as I know, unless Nicole told either or both. Get the feeds to see it all unfold live and/or with flashback!
