Whispers and waffles continued about the vote this morning, like they do. This group complicates everything so much and leaves so much til the last minute to decide, I'm not even trying to follow the back and forths, and I have some other things to do today so if it is definitively decided before the show, I probably won't know. Julie posted an AI Arena preview for tonight: they'll need to assemble a 10-piece puzzle and then select the correct corresponding 10-digit number sequence. Quinn tried on an outfit of Rubina's and said he'd wear it tonight (which he did). Tucker complained to Rubina about not getting enough sleep and not feeling well today, and Cam also said he wasn't feeling well.Julie's initial intro only mentioned Tucker and Angela, and the nominee framing behind her also omitted Makensy. The recap segment included Angela going off on Quinn at the end of Monday's veto meeting (and the related evergreen Makensy Diary segment about being unaware of another alliance), plus Rubina and Tucker's showmance and Rubina's doubts about it, and they once again gave credit to Quinn for how the week unfolded, rather than Chelsie. Then the nominees were lined up roster-style for AI Arena, in color-coordinated blues that also matched the Arena decor. The comp was exactly as Julie's preview described it, and Makensy won by a wide margin. Angela made some good progress on hers, but puzzle-loving Tucker was trying to insert his puzzle pieces backwards. Their return to the living room wasn't nearly as celebratory as other weeks. Tucker seemed pretty much resigned to go but he asked Quinn to repay the favor Tucker had previously done for him, and Angela used her Strategizing Time to loudly announce how much she wants to stay. Tucker was evicted 5-3, with Rubina, Kimo, Joseph voting to keep him. Tucker shouted "I'M COMING HOME, ZIGGI!" and he shared huge emotional hugs with various of them including Angela, Joseph, Cam, and of course Rubina who crumbled into tears when the vote was announced. She and Tucker had several kisses before he left, which he did in good spirits. He confirmed to Julie that he was mistakenly building the puzzle backwards, and he said his feelings for Rubina were real (anyone paying any attention at all already knew that). Julie told him who his votes were, so he won't be going to jury or battle-back, despite multiple rumors about that. In fact, Julie didn't mention jury at all, yet. She did tell Tucker he'd earned $20,000 for his AI Instigator task, and she told us next Thursday will include "an announcement from Ainsley that will change up the game." She didn't specify anything about whether AI Arena will continue or not but maybe Ainsley's announcement will be about the end of that. The "costume curse" is a myth because more costume-wearers have not been evicted in them than have, but Tucker has now landed in that latter group. He failed to break the civilian first-in curse, and he became the sixth of six evictees who voted No in the Ainsley move-in vote. Her revenge for that has not been swift but it has (so far) been sure. And it goes without saying that Team Fun Feeds suffered a huge loss tonight, but we often do. Still, we had a good run of chaos for exactly half the season, and much of that was thanks to Tucker. Feeds came back very briefly around 8pm and then went to adoptable anipals until a little after 11pm. Quinn won the HOH and it sounded like the one where they have to pass eggs through chicken wire or something similar. Eggs were involved at any rate. Someone called it an iconic comp so it was either that or maybe teeter-totter shovels, with eggs. Kimo and Makensy will be Have-nots - his third time, her second. It sounds like that came about from the comp and there was some talk about Angela trying to pitch deals to avoid that. One-on-ones were already underway and we came in on Quinn's with T'kor. He told her, then Cam, then Chelsie that they're safe, and that he wants to put up Angela and Rubina. He said he's unsure about the third nominee, but it sounded like that might be Kimo. Quinn told Chelsie he wants to put together something with the two of them plus Cam and T'kor, and he said he trusts Joseph (but they mentioned knowing about his F2 with Tucker), and they also talked about bringing in Makensy because she has nobody. Quinn's still crushing on Leah, so that would only leave Kimo. The HOH room usually doesn't happen for several hours after they finish their comp, and Leah and Makensy used some of that time to clean out both fridges. I'll wrap it up here and catch up the letter and the rest tomorrow. GET YOUR FEEDS to get the real story. It's a very messy, chaotic season so far. Day 46 - Friday - August 30, 2024Quinn got his room around 2am, with a letter from mom and dad. Before that, his one-on-one with Leah was so flirty on both sides it went beyond cringe to full body shudder. And it was effective: Leah's not going anywhere near the block. The yard opened around 3am and the grill had arrived, so we may have some burned food or fingers this weekend. And it stayed open today, so veto comp will be indoors. Chelsie predicted tiny veto, which is a good guess. Quinn did indeed settle his nomination plans as Angela, Kimo, Rubina, with Rubina his target. Today he reiterated his plan for an alliance of seven (all but his nominees) to Cam and Chelsie and said he'd want a tighter core within that to include the two of them plus possibly T'kor. Chelsie suggested they wait for veto to decide who should be the fourth.Quinn told Kimo to make a stash of some HOH snacks for when he comes off slop, and that his target is Angela, and Kimo would be going up as a pawn. Kimo said that would still be scary (obviously) but said he understood. Quinn suggested Visionaries each get a plus-one like Cookout, and suggested those pairings to be T'kor/Chelsie, Kimo/Rubina, and Quinn/Joseph. Quinn also mentioned a further alliance last night of the five voters who evicted Tucker. And he brought up the non-existent Ballers alliance some more, and he ran with Tucker's name errors for the real versions by calling them Shakers and Players Club. Rubina said she was hurting, missing Tucker, and T'kor said she was angry and hurt but needed to hide it or she could be the renom. Quinn nominated Angela, Kimo, Rubina as planned. Feeds came back to Rubina and T'kor working on guacamole, Kimo alone in the yard, Angela in Diary, and everyone else white water rafting on the HOH bed. Leah said she was "scared to check on Angela" and Makensy said "yeah, I don't want to." T'kor told Rubina she didn't understand Kimo's nomination because he'd been a good ally to Quinn, but "Quinn told the whole house Angela's his target" so they hoped she'd go. Angela had a word with Quinn in HOH to ask about his speech. Apparently he tried to "make it light" by referring to the "defamatory" comments she's made about him. He said nobody had taken that seriously and they all knew he was joking. Both said they weren't mad at each other and Quinn added "it's a funny aspect of our relationship" that they're always bantering/name-calling each other. Quinn ran through a range of faces after she left, and he told us she actually is his target because she'd taken what's his: a seat at finals. And he said he knows Leah will backstab him eventually but he won't put her up because he's weak. Angela's question bothered Quinn though, as he later asked others if his speech had come off as light-hearted and funny. (Of course he was told it had.) Angela sat at her gloomy table spot while a group chat went on around her and feedmasters had some fun with that. Leah lit the grill without incident, with Cam supervising. Two hours later she produced grilled hot dogs, but one flew to the ground, like they do. Each of them checked on Angela, separately, and she told each she's okay and she's going to win the veto, before crumbling into tears and telling herself to stop crying. Tucker's name, personality, and game crimes came up all day by most if not all of them. There wasn't nearly as much talk about any of the prior evictees after they left as there was about Tucker today. His absence made for a drastic drop in the feeds being interesting or eventful, so I'm taking a break from the continual complaining in my mentions to do something else tonight.
