Daily Feeds Recaps

Day 54 - Sunday - August 28, 2022

#StopProtectingKyle trended #1 USA on Twitter this morning, on a Sunday! Ahead of NASCAR! That's unheard of. But Michael, Brittany, Taylor, Monte met to have the conversation about Kyle's anti-Cookout agenda and it was withheld from feeds. Meanwhile Kyle got to nervousing because he figured Monte was spilling the Dyre beans, and he told Terrance and Alyssa they need to push for Monte to be the renom. Kyle then asked Monte what the others had wanted to talk about, and Monte only said "they're trying to figure something out" but he didn't know what, and he didn't give up anything further except that Michael had told Turner he'd be using his veto on Brittany. Monte was called to Diary, and Taylor said "this is some crazy shit." This is likely to be a tense day in the habitat, as well as out here.

Michael and Brittany then rehashed and explained Leftovers to Alyssa, who already knew, along with a lot of details that she didn't know, including instances when Kyle did want her out and that they knew she'd spilled Old Skool to him. She asked if they planned to tell Terrance everything too and they said they didn't know, they didn't have a close relationship with him. Alyssa asked "if you do, can you kind of soften the Old Skool thing?" Michael then told her that he'd questioned Kyle's obsession with Joseph, Monte, Taylor working together, and that he'd mentioned Cookout, and "it was really clear, the insinuation." Brittany said she didn't think Kyle was being malicious and was probably unaware what he was insinuating. And she said she didn't want it to seem like they're using this for game, and she retold a Kyle convo where she'd questioned him about the racial insinuations and implications, but he didn't pick up on it. Michael then said he'd like to see Kyle go this week, and "this goes beyond the game," and that he'll tell all this to Turner. Kyle reported to Terrance and Turner that Michael/Brittany/Monte/Taylor had a very lengthy convo this morning, and that Alyssa was in one now, and he said "Monte's trying to flip it so he doesn't go up."

That Have-not meeting finally broke up and Alyssa went straight to HOH. She told Turner, Kyle, Terrance that Michael and Brittany "were just spewing a bunch of information" and said they'll talk to Turner later. Michael and Brittany joined HOH as well, and everyone pretended nothing was going on, with chit-chat about soreness and blisters from the comp, snacks, etc. Michael was then called to Diary. He passed by Monte in the kitchen, who'd been in Diary for a very long time, and said they'd talked to Alyssa, and he said "everybody's up there now." Alyssa and Brittany met in the pantry and Alyssa thanked her for the info download, and said she'd told the HOH guys they were just comparing notes, and "that's where I'm leaving it." She said she'll let Michael tell them, and Brittany said Michael had mentioned a lot more things than she even remembered. And Brittany reported to Taylor that they'd told Alyssa everything. It feels like an explosive house meeting could be brewing? Or maybe everything will just dissipate.

Kyle approached Alyssa at her bed and asked if she was okay, and said "do you want to lay down for a second?" She said "we can sit." I think she expressed angst and nerves and fatigue, without mentioning the elephant in the room. I didn't listen closely because Michael exited Diary and went right to HOH to talk to Turner. He said he'd been sitting on something for a couple weeks, and it was uncomfortable and he was nervous so he was just going to say it, which he did: "Kyle basically pitched to me an all white alliance," which included Turner. He then told several of the things Kyle had said, and made it clear he was paraphrasing when he was, and he included Kyle referring to himself "as a straight white male" at one point to Michael when making his pitch. Brittany joined. Turner said he was glad they told him "because I hate that" and he wasn't sure what to say. Michael and Brittany acknowledged it was a lot to process. Meanwhile Monte started to talk to Terrance to share what he'd learned. At this point, I'm pretty sure Kyle still thought whatever was going on had to do with game spillage, and his version of Leftovers versus Joseph's, and not the serious allegations about him. Kyle joined Monte and Terrance and said Alyssa was having a rough day and hearing about everything was emotional.

Terrance told Kyle there was talk happening about him and an all white alliance. Kyle went to HOH where he was turned away because Turner was still meeting with Michael and Brittany. Kyle then went to Alyssa and asked "what do you think they're saying?" He asked if they talked about him splitting up Leftovers to work with Michael and Turner, and Alyssa said yes. Then she said they made it seem as if Kyle was working against some people rather than working with others, and she eventually said Joseph, Monte, Taylor. Kyle said "so a race thing? Is that what they're saying? I will leave the game if this is what they're pitching," and "this is life changing if that's their pitch." Kyle was turned away from Diary when he first tried to go in but later they let him in. Meanwhile Turner had continued to tell Michael and Brittany his target was Taylor but he'll let them know his renom decision, adding "but it's probably gonna be Kyle." When they left, Turner told us his brain was spinning, he didn't believe Michael and Brittany would make accusations like that without reason, especially on TV, and he said Michael had convinced him but added that's what Michael's good at, convincing. And he said "an all white alliance is weird and suspicious, suss all around, I hate that actually." Monte then went to HOH to talk it out with Turner, both of them agreeing Michael and Brittany wouldn't say that if not true. They did some rehashing and notes comparing, and Turner also told Monte he'll probably put up Kyle as renom.

Feeds went to WBRB for about an hour between 3 and 4pm. When they came back, Turner and Alyssa were lying on the HOH bed, and Turner also said to her he planned to put up Kyle as renom, adding "everybody is on the same page right now." She agreed, then said Turner had some stray mustache hairs. Downstairs, Terrance told Monte he knew Michael and Brittany wouldn't be making up accusations like that, and he wished they could just have a nice, relaxed, cool day. Monte said "it never is that" and commented that Kyle had been in Diary a long time.

Feeds went to adoptable anipals again at 4.36pm after another extended WBRB, and returned around 7.30pm. That block turned out to be for Michael's movie prize. He took Alyssa, Taylor, Turner as his guests, and of course there was a lot of popcorn and candy left over. I didn't hear what the movie was but they liked it. Everyone was accounted for, including Kyle who was seen momentarily passing by the kitchen group. The backyard opened again - it had been ages since Brochellas had been out there. Brittany was crying, and said "it was brutal in the non-movie house" and "that was the hardest day of my life." Taylor and Alyssa went to hammock with her, and feeds cut. Again.

Feeds were down another two hours or so, and returned to Monte, Terrance, Taylor, Turner playing pool in the yard, munching popcorn, and talking about the Dyre Fest setup. Terrance told us "I think we have to reset the energy - we're back, the drama is over, that was a moment, that was it" and Taylor said "chile, and the feeds were on." No, they weren't. And this is when they decided not to go into retells? Or perhaps were asked not to. Alyssa joined, and they remembered they still have margaritas and beer, and decided to drink tonight. Brittany and Michael also joined, and Brittany said none for her. Kyle was eating alone and Turner told the backyard group he was going to talk to him "real quick" and feeds went back to WBRB real quick. They came back to everyone but Kyle and Brittany drinking around the hot tub and chatting.

Michael and Turner finally had a chat a little after midnight, broken up by a lot of WBRBs, but Turner confirmed he'll be putting up Kyle as renom tomorrow, and that he'd told Kyle. And he said Kyle said he knew he'd be going home.

Day 53 - Saturday - August 27, 2022

Unless I missed a late night or early morning gathering, I'm pretty sure most of them slept ten hours, which they probably needed. I apologize for yesterday's page. I'd like to get back to shorter, concise recaps here but can't seem to be able to get there when our hamsters go from one conversation to the next to the next without any breaks. That's likely to continue, depending who wins today's veto. As they waited for player picks (much later than usual), Taylor sat down with Alyssa to say she hadn't wanted to put her up or evict her on her HOH until Joseph told her some tales. Taylor was shmoozing, but I don't know if there's ever been a hamster used as a scapegoat after they were evicted as much as everyone's been pointing fingers at Joseph this week. Alyssa will never use veto on Taylor if she plays and wins, but points to Taylor for effort. Meanwhile Alyssa again said she was sorry for what Taylor went through at first, and said she'd had no idea it was happening, and she'd never participate in something like that. Sure, Jan. Alyssa and Brittany had a convo that included tears before they bonded over self-help podcasts.

They finally picked veto players around 1.30pm - it's usually more like 8am. Just before feeds went to anipals for the pick, Michael told Taylor he'd been unable to sleep for running scenarios, which were all bad, but he said the best one involved letting Brittany go: "we need to keep our side as competitive as possible." And he said he wasn't going to tell her that unless/until the time comes. (*See update below.) Then he said to himself "what do I do?" [if he wins] and "how can I talk myself out of this one?" When feeds came back he looked crestfallen and I thought that meant he wasn't picked but no, only Kyle and Terrance won't play, and Terrance will host. Maybe Michael had already won in his mind and was thinking about the tough decision that would require.

Afternoon was a very long, very dull waiting session with a lot of naps, occasional tears from Brittany plus periodic spiral sessions about whether her husband still loves her, and of course occasional whispery check-ins. Michael told us he'd love to stay this week somehow and then win HOH so he could have his "gimme that key bitch!" moment. Taylor, Monte, Michael tried to put some more of the outsiders puzzle pieces together. Michael told Brittany he'll tell Turner about Kyle's Cookout 2.0 theory after the veto comp. Alyssa and Kyle went to their Have-not sex lair but rather than do the 10-second sexytime, Alyssa reported her progress befriending Taylor and Kyle did some bashing. He said Monte was a villain, but Joseph was a scumbag, scum, and said he couldn't stand him. Kyle said he only trusts Alyssa and Turner, and he wondered if/when it'll come out that he exposed Leftovers before Joseph, or if it already had come out. Brittany told Alyssa about the night Leftovers formed, and she said there was something else but it "crosses a line" and could affect people outside the game (Kyle's all-white alliance).

Feeds finally went to adoptable anipals for their comp around 7.30pm and returned around 10.30pm, and Michael had won yet another veto. It was the slippy slide skating in crisco comp, with a Pride theme, and competitors were covered in grease. There was a smaller cup option but it didn't have a cash prize as it often does, and I don't know if anyone went for it - maybe Turner? Michael also gets a movie screening with two (maybe three?) guests. From post-comp chatter it sounded like Michael stumbled a lot but didn't really wipe out, Alyssa fell a lot, Brittany fell some, and Monte didn't fall at all.

Terrance hosted in a tux type outfit, making a kind of bookend to my opening pic for this day. *Above I said Michael told Taylor he'd use veto on her if he won, but I've since learned he apparently told Brittany last night that he'd tell Taylor that so she'd pick him to play if he got HG Choice. So scratch that idea, I guess. Sorry I missed that last night but with all the convos flying around, I know I missed a lot. Turner told Monte that Michael would probably pull down Brittany, adding "we'll figure it out." Brittany asked Michael "you're gonna use it on me, right?" He said yes, and that he'd talk to Monte and Taylor, to let them know about Kyle's Cookout 2.0 theory I think, in hopes of pushing for Kyle to be renom. That's unlikely at this point but we'll see how it unfolds, especially if/when Michael drops that Kyle info to Turner.

Michael had a preliminary talk with Turner, who of course didn't let on that Michael had been his target, and he said he assumed Michael would take down Brittany. Michael said probably. Turner said that's fine, she got caught in the crossfire, and he said he felt betrayed by Taylor (apparently because she tried to get Turner and Monte on the block on her HOH), and that his goal was for her to go this week. They agreed Taylor's HOH week was messy. Michael said he likes her but they're getting deep into the game and "personally I'm okay with that." Michael asked if Turner knew who he'd put up as renom and he said probably Terrance or Alyssa. Michael said he'd take Turner to the movie with him - it sounded like they'd mutually agreed to take each other earlier, and Michael had already told Alyssa she could go too. And that was that - nothing about Kyle as of yet. Later Michael told Taylor he figured Monte would be the renom no matter who he takes off, and he later told us "I don't believe a word that comes out of Turner's mouth." And he was aware he'd tied the record for most vetos in a season with this one.

She was often loud and often acted more like she was playing BB Brasil than USA, with more attention given to her frequent (loud) shoutouts and camera messages than to the game going on around her. She was another of the early season Taylor haters but it lingered on with Indy after the others left or backed off. Indy was one of the few who confronted Taylor face to face (over soup), but her most vicious was a tirade to Joseph saying she HATES it when he and the guys talk with Taylor. But she was often fun and upbeat, and she was a better sport about her Punkaroo punkitard than most expected. And I always give kudos for non-native English speakers in this game that's based around whispers, conversations, and retells.

Won: Nothing

HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Co-veto 1 - Noms 0/1
Have-not 1

4th evicted - Day 37

Day 18 to Taylor: 'Don't speak to me until finale. The thing you did to Paloma you're trying to do to [Nicole], you can fuck right off. You don't think America's watching all that? You don't think so? From here on out do not speak to me. I will never forget what you did to Paloma. You think she didn't spiral because of you? You didn't add to that? And now you're trying to do it to Nicole, mind game. Do not speak to Nicole like that ever again.'
Don't get it twisted. First, mental illness doesn't work that way. Second, Terrance first suggested all that, Nicole planted it in Daniel's head, and he's the one who ran rabid with it, with her urging and blessing. They were peas from the same rotten pod and each fed off the other's vileness. I hope I never hear about either of these Toxic Twins again.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/1
Have-not 1

3rd evicted - Day 30

Arrogant, aggressive, entitled, overbearing, self-serving and self-centered. She took over the Taylor hate train when Paloma left and ran it off the rails. She had no redeemable watchable qualities, least of all being entertaining in the slightest. I thought about doing Ozark ratings some week but I lost my Wendy Byrde with her exit. Verbatim quote from this 'superfan': 'They've done something that no other alliance has ever done in this game, in Big Brother history, they created a pact of people to make you think you're safe and say I got your back, and then this [betrayal] happens.' Hello? Welcome to BB.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/1
Have-not 0

2nd evicted - Day 23

She was one of the Taylor haters under Paloma's direction, but she kept it up after Paloma's exit, even after Turner referred to it in his noms speech. That was one reason she went on the block as backdoor target and eventual exit, along with Michael and Kyle stressing her general smarts. She pushed for Pooch to go after he volunteered himself, and then she was blindsided when it was her own turn to meet Julie.

Won: Week 1 Backstage Boss/immunity

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0
Have-not 1

1st evicted - Day 16

Volunteering to go on the block is always dicey, but especially as early as he did before any real trust is formed. And now he knows why. He's lucky Julie was COVID-distanced or she might have whacked him. He put all his eggs in a broken Oasis basket, and he irritated a lot of them with his antics and touchy-feely. When Joseph tried to help and warn him about that, he just got mad at Joseph. Like Paloma, he talked constantly and very, very fast. He seems like he's got a good heart so good luck to him from here.

Won: Week 1 Backstage Pass

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0
Have-not 0

Left the game - Day 8

She drove the game at the start, and she ignited and fueled the unjustified Taylor hate which continued to thrive even after she left. When she started to spiral, her conspiracy theories and delusions would have been comical if they weren't indicative of something more serious going on. It was probably best for her to go when she did, and for me - her nonstop superfast talking was stressing me out.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0
Have-not 0

He was replaced pre-season by Joseph, but you can catch him on America's Got Talent and The Circle.
