Daily Feeds Recaps

Day 63 - Tuesday - October 6, 2020

Nicole's morning mirror-face antics included some unusual hair experiments, one of which she seemed to like but said "they" would just make fun of her if she wore it. I don't know if that meant her roomies or us, but she seems increasingly concerned with her image. We know her zing about her voice bothered her a lot, and she's since been doing her Diaries in a lower, more even toned voice. Memphis did his morning talk show around noon, with sidekick Christmas, and Nicole and Tyler as audience. He discussed New Zealand hermit crabs, a presidential debate parody taking place at Mall of America, Elon Musk, and goats. All this may not seem like much, and it isn't, but there isn't much that hits the feeds between the ongoing starfishies.

Nicole had yet another extended solo study session alone and aloud. This one also included comments about how tired of the others she is, and how she was and would again be a deserving winner, and she again said she thought Tyler would be the better option to evict this week. She said she thought her Ian vote lie was "genius" but then she felt guilty when it grew to something bigger, and she said she'd wanted to fess up to Da'Vonne but Dani told her not to, "but guess what? A yeller tells the truth for me." She and Enzo griped about how much Christmas is bugging them and then Christmas joined them, as often happens. Tyler suited up with mask and gloves to launch an assault on Team Ants, recently discovered congregating in the second kitchen sink area that was covered over this year.

Tyler campaigned to Cody and Christmas to Nicole in overlapping meetings. Cody said Christmas gets on his nerves, and Tyler said she and Memphis would "for sure" put up Cody if they win HOH. Tyler finally asked point blank "you guys do want to keep me though, right?" Cody lied and said "yeah bro, I told you you're my boy, man." Christmas began her pitch with her usual ask if Nicole had any questions for her, and she again said she feels "a little duped" by the events of the triple. Nicole said she understands that, and she told Christmas she'd like to keep her. Memphis flew in yelling and jumping on floaties at one point but he didn't stay long. Christmas said "I don't want to be this grump" and she said she didn't expect to love Nicole so much. That elicited a hug and an "I love you too" from Nicole, of course. Later, watching Christmas narrate and describe her cereal birthday message to her little boy, Nicole told Cody "I can recite her birth story, I wish that was a competition."

They did their virus tests, and Christmas was silenced at dinner. It didn't seem like anything, but it kinda was. She arrived as others were already stuffing their faces, and she announced "I love Caesar! Caesar is literally one of my comfort foods." Cody said "I know" and a hush fell over the room. Christmas definitely noticed and said "I'll just keep it to myself then", adding "did I do something wrong?" Several said they're just eating but oh yes, she noticed. A little later Cody and Enzo chatted about Memphis having said Cody and Nicole have a final two. Enzo said "I'm pretty sure Nicole would take you over everybody, we get that, it is what it is, whatever the fuck." Cody said "if he's fuckin thinking okay I got something with Nicole to the end, should we just fuckin clip Christmas?" Enzo said "I'm thinking about it, I'm getting tired of her too yo." Tyler rejoined them and that convo ended for now. Maybe it's something, maybe it's nothing, but Tyler's covered a lot of ground with his argument that they'd be four-to-one if they keep him versus three-to-two if they don't, and all of them have mentioned how much Christmas is bugging them lately.

They had a booze delivery a little before 9pm, and surprisingly feeds stayed mostly on. The guys took their drinks to HOH, and Christmas went in shouting "ALL RIGHT MOTHERFUCKERS THE PARTY JUST ARRIVED!" That did not get cheers or whoops as she may have been hoping or expecting. Nicole also joined them and all six hung out in HOH having fun and sharing prior season anecdotes. Nicole went back down to narrate her fried pickles like she was on a cooking show. Christmas hadn't heard about Enzo's foot stalker yet and when she did, she had to one up by asking Enzo if he's looked himself up on "Footapedia" yet, and she said she has a five star rating. (True, she does on WikiFeet, but Enzo has 4.5.) He took off a shoe and flashed his sole at the camera for his foot stalker because she's always asking for that, and he said "that's for you babe, that's for you." The party broke up and Cody and Enzo picked up their Tyler versus Christmas discussion, running various scenarios for next week, and they remained undecided. Nicole joined and pushed hard for Tyler to go first, but they didn't let her in on their scenarios that involved her. After Nicole left, it sounded like Cody and Enzo were okay with booting Tyler again, either having been convinced by Nicole, or figuring they didn't feel strongly enough about it to convince her.

Day 64 - Wednesday - October 7, 2020

Groundhog Day began like all the others - and by that I'm not assigning a random holiday name for Christmas, I'm referring to the movie and the repetitive grind of ticking off day after day after day, where every day is the same. Yes feeds often slow down late in a season but we aren't even at the end yet, and this has been the same for weeks already. The complete lack of power shifts, predictable boot orders, lack of backyard time, and unimaginative hamsters with personalities that range from bland to distasteful is making these last weeks difficult.

Proving my point, the afternoon consisted of Tyler doing another face mask, Nicole studying aloud and narrating her game alone in Have-not, Christmas reminding them tomorrow is her son's birthday, backgammon, talking about playing charades, and food prepping and eating. It was noticeably quieter than usual though, as Cody stayed in his room napping and/or listening to music. All punctuated by intermittent starfishies of course, though feedmasters are also getting a bit sloppy as they sometimes don't even cut audio when someone pees anymore.

Christmas made a cake for her son, and later she babytalked to him and us. Enzo and Nicole had an afternoon chat about possibly keeping Christmas and they agreed to talk with Cody later but when they did, Tyler going was once again a done deal. Cody asked if they should blindside him or tell him ahead. Enzo said he'll tell him he's "just going with the house" and Nicole said she'd tell him. The three of them had yet another round of half-hearted waffling, but it didn't go anywhere. There was a lot of speculation from everyone about what tomorrow's HOH might be, and a lot of talk about who'd put up whom if they win. Tyler campaigned some more to Enzo, hinting he'll give a scorcher speech, and telling Enzo he can't go to the end with Cody. Enzo said Cody would win against any of them as of now. Tyler said "I'm gonna fuck some shit up - why not?" about his nominee speech, but if he gets the heads up before the show he's leaving, he might skip it. That would be par for the course for us this year, but maybe we'll get lucky and get a bit of fireworks - even a little sparkler would do.

Midnight finally rolled around and Nicole's Have-not week ended, along with all Have-nots for the season. Memphis got up from his bed even, they all cheered, Christmas hollered happy birthday to her little boy, and they all dug into the various foods they'd been preparing.

My permanent gripe/comment remains as long as slop does: They need to do away with slop in general, but especially during pandemic plague season when good nutrition should be a major priority on their highly-touted list of safety concerns.

5th juror, 10th evicted, Day 58

She said she wanted to take Janelle's BB Queen crown, but instead she probably damaged her BB reputation. Not only did she not win comps like she used to, but she failed to bring the entertainment factor. To be fair, she didn't whine and complain as much as her prior seasons, but she came close. She either didn't pre-game well or she changed her mind once she saw who all was in there, and when she talked too much too soon about turning on her allies, it was her undoing. She had to nominate four people in her disastrous HOH week, and inexplicably decided not to push for Tyler to go once she had him on the block, even though her original plan for the week was to boot him out the backdoor.

Won: $10,000; Basement Disruptor/gave himself immunity Week 6
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 4/0/0 - HN 2

4th juror, 9th evicted, Day 58

He got a lot of flak for not being an 'all-star' but many of them technically weren't, and he deserved another shot more than most first boots. He went farther than many expected, but that was mostly due to power group shufflings rather than his own doing, other than the save he earned himself with the Disruptor power. But he blew that by fake crying and bad lying, and he caused a number of rants when he took $10k rather than veto in OTEV. He was an erratic player, often seeming brilliant and clueless in the same moment, but he eventually worked himself into a decent social position against many odds, not the least being Nicole's vote lie. But Memphis finally got his way and got him gone.

Won: Nothing
HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Noms 5/0/0 - HN 2

3rd juror, 8th evicted, Day 58

He went on the block at the start and never recovered. He wouldn't forgive his former idol Janelle from preferring Keesha stay that first week so he tattled on her, which helped to destroy all hope of the outliers banding together to take on the dominant power alliances. Then he became the pawn star and was nominated four more times, winning only one veto himself and once benefiting from Da'Vonne's win. He spent way too much time trying to analyze who was with whom, sometimes accurately but often way off, and he didn't do anything about it anyway. He was perky and snarky in Diary, but on feeds he was mostly miserable and mopey, rarely coming out of his Eeyore gloom.

Won: $5,000
HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Noms 2/0/0 - HN 2

2nd juror, 7th evicted, Day 51

Winning was one goal she didn't achieve, but she was highly successful with her other goal, to raise awareness of the extra challenges Black hamsters face in this game. Those goals conflicted when David tattled a confidence and again when she believed Nicole's lie blaming her vote on David. She made some messy game choices, but she made eloquent, impassioned block speeches, she had compelling in-depth convos, particularly with Kaysar, and she pointed out the frustrating facts when her point was repeatedly proven. She won a huge but teeny tiny veto, and she once again provided endless reaction memes and gifs. She was the heart and soul, and most of the entertainment, of this season.

Won: Safety Suit #2 (Christmas's win)/1 week space skits
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/1/0 - HN 2

1st juror, 6th evicted, Day 44

His plan to lay low at first was foiled by the ones who started gaming long before move-in, and his F2 with Nicole was only insurance on her part since she was tighter with the power group. Learning that broke him and it was downhill from there. He showed some entitlement about deserving to win but talked about his struggles learning to lose, which proved him vulnerable and human. He did a superb job with his skits, and talked openly about being on the spectrum, and it was so good to see him again. As before, I wish him well in all he does.

Won: 500 tricycle laps
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 1

5th evicted, Day 37

She and Tyler had their ups and downs, repairing their relationship from last time and breaking it up again, and that affected the game in various ways. Her friendship with Janelle was fun to watch, and her friendship with Da'Vonne was golden, the type that will likely last long after this season's forgotten. She gave yoga classes, and she rode 500 backyard laps on a tricycle as a veto repercussion, 40 with only one pedal, and BB didn't even put it on the show. Her great attitude riding those laps, mostly to spite her haters, was a joy to behold.

Won: Safety Suite #1
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 2/0 - HN 1

4th evicted, Day 30

His BB strategy plans have always held promise but implementing them, not so much. But no matter: he was and is a class act, and he always brings the kind of much-needed humanity our feeds are usually lacking in a big way. It's too bad things didn't work out differently this time but it was great to see him on our feeds again, both for himself and for his fun friendship with Janelle.

Won: Safety Suit #1 (Kaysar's win)/1 week star
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 1

3rd evicted, Day 23

It was great to see her on feeds again, especially her easy friendship with Kaysar. She was BB6 Janelle again but without the in-your-face name-calling that would have made things more fun for us, but props to her for not going there. It's astounding how hard she was targeted just for showing up, proof that Janellousy is still real.

Won: Nothing
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 1

2nd evicted, Day 16

Imagine going on BB and not wanting to work with Janelle and Kaysar. Having them to go bat for you, hard, and then throwing it back in their faces. It's mind-boggling. She was in way over her head this season, made one bad decision after another, and she repeatedly promised us a house meeting that she never delivered.

Won: Nothing
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 0

1st evicted, Day 9

She was feisty her first time around but like all of them, she's older and more mature now, and her birthday happened before they moved in, so we didn't get any new memorable Keesha scenes. But it was good to see her again and she got a nice check for two weeks isolation and one week of summer camp.

The CBS app (by CBS Interactive) plays BB air shows and other CBS shows, as well as feeds, or you can use your browser to watch feeds on mobile devices. The same All Access link used to subscribe will lead to the feeds viewing page if you're already signed up.

BB22 finalist prizes are $500k for the winner and $50k for 2nd place. 3rd place gets $10k bonus, 4th place gets $7.5k, 5th place gets $5k. All got $40k for showing up, plus $1k stipend per week.

The habitat has 94 HD cameras (no change) and 113 microphones (no change).

The recorded in-house announcements are the voice of producer Don Wollman. He and Julie Chen are the only staffers who have been there since Big Brother 1.

"Position the habitat of your hamster somewhere light and airy, away from drafts, heaters, direct sunlight
and other pets. Never put it on or near a television, radio or hi-fi, or a fridge."
