We don't know if that's due to new virus protocols or what, but it sounded like that would only be tonight and future evictions would be live. All pre-season press promo said "live Thursdays" but the narration at the end of last night's show did not say "live" when teasing tonight's eviction. With no audience, the only impact it'll have for us is losing post-eviction feeds.Voting roulette carried on, with various retells and questioning of last night's flip talk. It seemed like Keesha will still be going, and she continued her non-campaigning campaign. Then Da'Vonne let her know she would indeed be going, but said she didn't know why when Keesha asked. Keesha was evicted 13-0 and did her exit QA with a mask, seated a football field away from Julie. The studio's new video walls included shots of Keesha from the season, which was a nice BBUK-esque touch. There were no definitive hints either way about whether Keesha would get a chance for revival or not. The HOH comp was Big Brother Watch Party: seven true/false questions about details in two videos with Chris DeJoseph portraying both new and familiar BB characters. Wrong answers were instantly eliminated. Outs in order after the first video were: Question 1 Kaysar, David; Question 2 Enzo, Dani; Question 3 Nicole F, Christmas. Outs in order after the second video were Question 4 Kevin; Question 5 Ian, Janelle; Question 6 Bayleigh, Da'Vonne, Nicole A, Tyler, leaving Memphis as the new HOH, his first ever. The seventh question was unused, and left Julie time to congratulate Memphis, and Kevin, and to ask Janelle about her star suit. She also said something about looking forward to seeing Janelle's own outfits, which will probably give her haters in there a little more ammo. And Julie told us tomorrow's Safety Suite comp would be a cocktail/bar theme. Feeds came back shortly after Julie's odd signoff quoting the Golden Rule. They discovered a second (but still skimpy) booze delivery waiting in the pantry, and we saw that Janelle's star suit was finally well and truly shunned. Have-nots were revealed to be Christmas, David, Kaysar, Nicole F. I'm not certain but I think last week's Have-nots picked the new ones, and there was some talk about Memphis saying something rude when he selected David. Dani and Janelle laughed about being sucky at comps now, Christmas and Nicole F held an anti-Janelle meeting, and Enzo entertained a group with his usual brand of comedy. Memphis got his room a little before 10pm, and they and we found out the pics and goodies come gift-wrapped this year - maybe a virus precaution. His letter was from his little boy River and he was very choked up reading it. It said River went to camp and learned to read, and he was excited about school and his new shoes. There weren't many dry eyes in the house, especially among the parents. Memphis said he was potentially thinking noms between David, Nicole A, Ian, with whichever didn't go up originally as renom if needed. Memphis and Cody, and later Memphis, Christmas, Nicole F, Dani agreed two from their group should play Safety comp or people would figure out they're together. Christmas volunteered and said she'll "fuckin win." Memphis talked with Janelle, and had a quickie meeting with Ian, and an even quicker one with Nicole A, telling them he hadn't thought about noms, and the majority would probably play in Safety comp. He had a longer chat with Kaysar, because Kaysar talks more, and Nicole A noticed how much longer he was in HOH than she was. Meanwhile Cody was busy hatching plots to blame Janelle for the entire vote flip chaos. Tyler pointed out to Cody and Enzo that Memphis probably wanted everyone to use up their Safety comp pass so he'd have little or no competition for the final Safety comp next week. Janelle, Nicole A, Kevin had a long chat trying to figure out what was going on, and they did figure out some of it, including the Cody/Dani/Enzo/Nicole F/Tyler group. Janelle and Nicole A took that to Kaysar, waking him up, and he agreed they were on to something. The three of them had a longer chat, and they also agreed Dani was double- or triple-dipping (correct), and that Christmas wasn't in with anyone (wrong). Nicole A asked if all that means they have a final three? Kaysar said "sure, whatever," Janelle said they had to get through Week 2, and Nicole said "this is not convincing me." They went on to count their team-for-now which included Bayleigh, Da'Vonne, Christmas, but not Kevin, who's the only one who's actually with them of now, and they agreed Ian was a wild card. Kaysar said they should sit on all this, observe, and gather more intel before acting on it, but then they agreed Kaysar should bring all this to Memphis, who they thought wasn't really with the other side, and subliminally pitch that he nominate Ian and Nicole F, as the only winners. Day 10 - Friday - August 14, 2020David talked to himself/his brother/us this morning about his frustration over not knowing what was going on, whereas last year as an observer, he did. And he said he knew he was probably being targeted and that it irritated him personally as well as principally that African-American males have gone out early in the last "15 seasons." He also said "15 years" and while that 15 number isn't quite right, it's an extremely valid point. The only African-American males to make jury on regular season BB US were BB5 Marvin, BB6 Beau, BB3 and BB7 Marcellas, BB10 Ollie, and BB11 Kevin. Thanks to Big Brother Wiki for that factoid. Keesha did press this morning, apparently without restrictions for the interviewers, so probably no potential for revival for her.Feeds were down from 10am to 3.30pm for their Safety comp, and that block included the pre-comp scurrying about who would play. When they came back, Christmas had won and selected Ian as her plus-one. It was a timed comp involving grabbing and balancing things. Along with Christmas, players who used up their pass to play were Bayleigh, Cody, David, Da'Vonne, Ian, Kevin. Memphis had a quick pantry meeting with Cody and Tyler, irritated because it was "weird" and "odd" that first Nicole F saved Ian from having to pick his Have-not replacement (by volunteering for his spot), and now Christmas chose him to have safety this week. Dani reassured a nervousing Nicole F that Memphis was not going to put her up, and Christmas held a private chat with us on four feeds about how she's here to play, and dominate, and etc, like she does. She also said today's comp made it clear to her who's on which side. Memphis remained annoyed that his plan to boot Ian was foiled, he and Enzo discussed alternate plans, and they agreed the house was full of scary women. Memphis held a few pre-noms meetings but I didn't hear anything concrete either way, other than he made a pitch to Bayleigh that if he doesn't put her up, he'd expect her to reciprocate at some point down the line, and she agreed. Memphis nominated Nicole A and David. Nicole was upset and crying because she felt blindsided, and David was upset and angry because of the words Memphis used. Apparently those words were something to the effect of "you're at the grownups table now," and David said angrily afterwards "motherfuck I'm 30 years old!" Each nominee was supported by most of the others, and there was talk from a lot of them that Memphis's words were harsh, aggressive, and unnecessary, once again, and both were encouraged to fight hard for veto. Kevin told Da'Vonne that Janelle is a spider trying to weave her web around Nicole A, and Kaysar is a Silicon Valley douchebag who thinks he's smarter than everyone else. Dani told Da'Vonne she heard Bayleigh called Janelle pre-season (to pre-game), and told her not to repeat that. Nicole A and David cry-laughed together about their situation, with David saying at one point "Ovi, we're sorry" and Nicole replied "Ovi, we fucked up." Memphis shared his HOH wine with Janelle, and they went to work shmoozing each other about everyone else in there, but I don't think anything was accomplished on either side. Janelle was putting in work to save Nicole A, who was in a trash Janelle convo downstairs led by Kevin at the time. Memphis tattled to Nicole F afterwards that Janelle didn't have nice things to say about her. He retold most of his Janelle convo to Cody, and Janelle retold most of it to Kaysar and Nicole A. Memphis and Cody were still hoping to get Nicole A out this week, and various chats took place about veto plans throughout the evening. Kaysar told Janelle and Nicole A he had let Christmas know the other side was after her. Janelle said "Are you crazy? There's a fucking veto!" and Kaysar said "Trust me." Ian reported that he was told he wouldn't get his Safety suit until tomorrow.
