I promise you won't regret it Day 90 - Monday, September 12So long, VictorThey were woken early and found tie-dye kits and Play-doh with their fresh batteries, and they wondered what it all meant when they returned to their beds.. we know it meant they were expected to be crafty for a few hours to tape tonight's After Dark before they tape Victor's eviction show this eveningA formal announcement about feeds being down until after that episode airs Tuesday night didn't come, but we know how it works even if the hamsters don't Meanwhile if you've enjoyed this site and/or my tweets, or gotten some use from either this season, you can use this downtime to do some Amazon shopping and help me a bit without costing you anything extra.. start your shopping trip from my Amazon portal for Amazon USA or Canada anytime - thank you! James said he'd been ready with open arms for a hug from Nicole but she pushed past him because she was worried she'd hurt Paul's and/or Victor's feelings.. she apologized to James and they both laughed as they completed the hugNicole then told Corey and James "I would gladly lose $500,000 to you two.. I hope one of you two wins America's Favorite and if I don't, I hope the other one wins $500,000".. James replied to them both, "if y'all win, don't forget about what we uh.." and he made a money hand gesture.. Corey said "oh yeah, oh yeah" and James said "I'll give you my address and uh.. no I'm just playing" --cut to fishies Paul and Victor worked on their nominee speeches that included some well-placed zings for the others.. hopefully those won't be edited before the show airs but they easily could be - they've been taking pains to cut away from things like inappropriate James stories lately in a transparent protection racket Meanwhile my late night tweet about Victor's photo shoot shirt (in Lines of the Day below) and a Reddit post by a supposed friend or relative of Victor's about him being "forced into the Latin lothario role" has everyone losing their collective minds again.. I worked up and posted a rant below based from all that (you have to admit I've been pretty good about not doing that kind of thing this season) The rest of the day was more of the same: the usual napping/eating cycles, cards, The Paul and Victor Comedy Show, third wheel James hanging on and butting in here or there, and endless speculation about their schedule for this week and next, but only feedsters and finalists know how all that works.. James and Nicole kept trying to plug in the bits and pieces they know about from having been jurors, but none of them have come up with the actual schedule yet.. they did figure out there's probably an eviction Monday since they had their veto meeting today.. they forgot they'll (probably) be taping a morning block for After Dark to air Monday night.. between that taping and airing, Victor will be shaking Julie's hand for the third and final time GET YOUR FEEDS so you can watch it unfold for yourself - use promo code FALLACCESS thru September 16 to get one month free, click Previous Hamsterwatch episode up top to see what's come before, and click Feeds Updates way up top for detailed play-by-play with tons of screencaps by @UGotBronx Welcome to Big BrotherThere seems to be more uproar and outrage about this season being "rigged" than ever, which is confusing.. I figure most everyone in this "community" have been "connected" for several years now but I guess people forget.. people are also outraged about the vets and their games, particularly these last two standing, but I figure we dodged some major bullets as far as some of the has-beens they could have brought back, but that's another issueBig Brother is a reality show but that's never been synonymous with reality.. I was always drawn to the behind-the-curtain aspect of feeds but the unreal way they edited the potentially very serious near-walkout by the entire cast on BB1 into a cutesy fluff segment on CBS way back in 2000 is what really hooked me.. on BB6 I spent most of my time and energy documenting the horrific things said by "The Friendship" alliance on feeds because they were being portrayed as angelic heroes on CBS By the time BB7 All-Stars came along, there was so much transparent fakery going on (including multiple pre-show alliances), it was ridiculous, and comical.. I always figured it was because those 2nd timers could be trusted to play along and keep their mouths shut, so why not put that to use and try to make a "better" TV show? Now we've got feedsters losing their minds over pre-show alliances (again), Diary scripting, Diary meddling, comps favoring certain hamsters over others, pre-season photo shoot wardrobes, character "roles" and more.. some of the claims for this and recent seasons are ludicrous including one about cables spotted on the ground during last week's skating comp - of course there are going to be cables, it's a television set! And some of them are valid, but none of them are anything new or even surprising.. for one thing, production's priority is where the money is (as it should be), and that's the TV show.. for another, this isn't classed as a game show so it's not subject to those strict anti-rigging laws.. and finally, the entire concept of "Big Brother" itself is unfair by definition I've always been about the entertainment factor of feeds and the "social experiment" of the different personalities meshing and clashing, more so than the game itself, but I got sidetracked many times over the years exposing and showcasing potentially sketchy elements - I even posted a BB production-themed parody of The Emperor's New Clothes one year - but lately I've gone back to just letting it unfold and trying to find amusement in it all, because why not? Back in those early days and subsequent seasons, I was often called a conspiracy wacko but now it seems most everyone understands that at least some of these things are sketchy, and my work here is done.. now I just wish everyone and their cousin would stop sending their "Rigged!" complaints to me on Twitter - I get it! Preaching to the choir etc, and there isn't anything I can do about any of it anyway.. and don't think other shows don't do these things and more - they don't even have feeds to bust them for it Day 88 - Saturday, September 10We have a winnerAs the only real contender left, it's time to declare Nicole the winner of Deathrace 2016, the little game I play with the various hair disasters and peculiar arrangementsNow a two-time season winner, this makes Nicole the reigning champ, a title previously held by BB15 GinaMarie - sorry GM.. future Deathrace hopefuls should note they both won using the same Daily Messy Top Bun strategy.. GinaMarie utilized a lot of stunt hair with a dark roots bonus, while Nicole's hair volume, length and color is all her own.. the top screencap is a rare overhead look at a spanking fresh newly-made concoction, so we will assume this is the desired "how it's supposed to look" look It wasn't a runaway race though, there were other contenders this season to be sure.. Michelle's clip-on extensions were 23 shades lighter than the rest of her hair, which was 4 shades darker than her roots, and she accidentally ran the clippies through the washing machine.. Natalie used drawers and cupboard doors creatively to style and curl her too-long stunt hair, and she had several days of serious messy bun competition.. Da'Vonne brought her overlong braids into the BB game when she flipped them at Tiffany upon her eviction, plus she mesmerized everyone for three or four days with a marathon rebraiding session There was no real roots division this season (rare) and Paul might have easily revived the beard division but he kept his groomed and cared for.. Corey's pointy-head style was too stupid to acknowledge, James's constant shaggy bedhead wasn't helped by the constant headbands or hats, Frank's shorter hair was easier to get used to than we would have guessed, and let's just try to forget Paulie's horrific copycat haircut ever happened Victor's hair was his pride and joy and while it wasn't all that, it usually looked okay.. Bridgette, Bronte, and Tiffany rarely even tried for a daily entry here or there, but the hands-down loser of this year's Deathrace was Zakiyah.. not only was her stunt hair a reasonable length, but it was stylish and impeccable at all times, she maintained it well, and she even gave a few how-to tips.. sorry Zakiyah, don't try so hard next time, but big ups and congrats to Nicole! And another winnerNicole won the veto, and Victor gave her a "can't stay mad" hug with a major dip after they came back.. it was BB Comics, and they all had colorful BANG! KAPOW! shirts with superhero capes to ride their ziplines.. Victor seemed resigned to going, and happy to earn the honor of being the first hamster ever evicted three times in a seasonThey had to find differences in pairs of comics in individually timed runs.. Nicole did it in 14 minutes, Paul took 18 minutes, Corey took 20 minutes, fresh non-skating Victor took 29 minutes, and James maxed out the 35 minute time limit and apparently didn't finish.. they were once again impressed with the detail and artistry (they are done by professional comics artists), and they had mixed feelings about their own and everyone else's comics, which were as follows Bridgette: Cabbage Patch Kid with her basil plant Mr Jenkins Bronte: The Mathematician Corey: Missile-Toes, Christmas theme with "you can kiss your ass goodbye" plus Nicole Da'Vonne: Day-Struction, radioactive with whipping braids Frank: Eudy's Booty, with "he'll whoop your ass, literally" Glenn: Doctor Groom James: Colonel Camo, upgraded from Captain, with "if you see him, it's already too late" Jozea: Mess-iah Michelle: Big Meech Vomitcrybaby with a HUGE fat baby in a onesie - they said it'll make her cry Natalie: Princess Pep - they said she hates being called princess, she'll hate it Nicole: Super Safety Girl, and it also included her germitard Paul: Motor Mouth, who will hurt people's ears - he loved it Paulie: a baker, with weird orange skintone Tiffany: Emotional Wrecking Ball Victor: El Fit Vic, with "he's no dumbbell" - he loved it Zakiyah: something about Hottie They all had a friendly steak dinner together and shared Corey's HOH beers as they discussed the comics and the comp.. both Paul and Victor took it all very well with no visible hard feelings.. when Nicole went off to do her Diary retells, the guys teased Corey about whether he'll dump her before or after the wrap party.. he also told them he's tired of her talking BB16 and she needs to "close the yearbook", and he mocked her "Corrreeeyyyy" James, Nicole, and Corey debated booting Victor or Paul, and they pretty much settled on Victor (which is where they started) GET YOUR FEEDS so you can watch it unfold for yourself - use promo code FALLACCESS thru September 16 to get one month free, click Previous Hamsterwatch episode up top to see what's come before, and click Feeds Updates way up top for detailed play-by-play with tons of screencaps by @UGotBronx
