Day 12 - Sunday, June 26

What have we gotten ourselves into?

Paul used his veto on himself obviously (and wore it around for awhile afterwards, again), and Frank secretly nominated Bridgette, as expected.. there weren't any immediate fireworks, and Paul and Jozea in particular ensured Bridgette she'll be safe.. they're right, she will, but they think Paulie's going when Jozea's the real dead man walking

Most of the day and evening was the two groups sitting around separately and trashing the other.. it's only the fourth day of feeds but they're at mid-August levels of vitriol, and naturally that oozes out here - get your rabies boosters! Michelle took that to a whole new level at one point when she asked feedsters to get Bridgette fired because of a comment she allegedly made that Michelle didn't even hear herself - that's really not okay

We haven't had a true side versus side season in quite a few seasons and it might not last this time, but for now the gossip and trashing the two sides are doing about the other are very reminiscent of BB6.. the problem is we don't have the comedy that Howie/Janelle/Kaysar and friends brought with it, nor the camaraderie that each side had amongst themselves.. that might come, but it's starting to feel like a sinking ship already, and we only just started

By the way, there's a new shower cam this year that's quite high and looks down almost straight into the shower.. Bronte was its first victim and now her boobies are all over the interwebs - that's not okay either

The day did bring some good phrases: snakes with dignity, Paul's wing of anger, kisser-butter from Nicole, and Roadkill ceremony on the show.. @89razorskate20 has come to our aid once again with a new alliance chart - the latest of those is always linked to your left in Quick Links and Bookmarks section, along with @clamperls' eye-opening Diary tallies from the air shows

Day 11 - Saturday, June 25

Revolution Buffoons

The backyard finally opened and it looks fantastic.. Frank held a long morning soliloquy out there, and later Jozea, Victor, and Paul held a lengthy meeting.. they're calling themselves Revolution now, but I call them buffoons.. you'd think somebody would catch on to them working together as closely as they are, but the BB12 Brigade held their meetings in front of everyone all summer long and nobody noticed

Paul held soliloquys all day, talking loudly and nonstop, mostly about himself, to anyone who'd listen, even though a lot of them clearly didn't want to.. a chat/discussion/argument about election matters broke out at one point, with Frank, Corey, and Jozea being loudest, but I won't cover politics here in any way.. sorry and/or you're welcome.. Da'Vonne and Victor did an impromptu puppet show at one point

They had another booze delivery (already!) and decided to split themselves in two groups to alternate booze nights for better effect.. Paul drank more wine and beer than most and got obnoxiously loud, saying "I'm so drunk!" over and over, and bringing out his Miss Patty persona

Zakiyah hid a bottle of wine and there was some snippiness between Tiffany and Frank about that or something else, I don't know, and Tiffany took to Nicole's bed with her bunny hat over her teary eyes, looking and sounding more like Vanessa than ever.. meanwhile James was pulling pranks and hiding, and it was like last summer all over again

Say what?!

Things went south when Corey told a story about his buddy being drunk and buying a goat, spraying it with lighter fluid and trying to set it on fire.. it wasn't clear to me if this was in Corey's group/guys house he talked about pre-show but no matter.. there was no mention of him or anyone trying to stop it, and Corey told the story like it was a big joke, so funny, and the goat was cowering by the fireplace - Flashback 6/25 11.05pm

Jozea and Frank confirmed for us that they were in fact told about the Orlando killings (probably individually in pre-show sequester).. Victor and Natalie were cuddling and petting again, even though their showmance is supposedly over, and Paul was petting on Bronte as well - she'd previously told Paulie she was annoyed at him trying to set up a date for her and Paul, but that she "can't say no".. also, Zakiyah and Paulie had a very long, extended, late night kitchen hug

Game chat carried on throughout, here and there, but there was more whispering about this one or that one, and future plans that probably won't pan out.. the ants are as strong as ever and have infiltrated the entire habitat, including kitchen drawers and the HOH room.. as of now, Bridgette will probably be Frank's (secret) renom, and Jozea will likely walk the plank on Thursday

Day 10 - Friday, June 24

Roadkill defined, kind of

Details on the Sunday show mystery comp are being revealed, and between feeds chatter and CBS press I think we can put it together now, more or less

The Roadkill comp will take place weekly in a BB RV in the backyard (which has national parks scenery, remember?).. the first one was called Quick Change, in which the hamsters were dressed in track suits and had to strip down to swimsuits while holding down three buttons.. if they released buttons, their timer would speed up

The winner is known only to him or herself and for this first one, it was Frank.. he won the right to secretly nominate someone and that's how Paul ended up being the third nominee.. by the way, many of the hamsters think it was Nicole who won and put up Paul

And another comp

Corey let an "it was gay" comment slip, to Jozea, so he didn't leave that kind of thing behind a few years ago when he made those tweets.. Jozea in turn made a positive comment about the US military, so he may realize how far his stock dropped last night

Most of the day was ordinary chit-chat, with a few hair situations including Natalie installing her stunt hair and Nicole getting braided by Zakiyah and Da'Vonne (then taking it out right after, even though everyone said it looked great).. the girls' alliances are already showing cracks, Nicole buddied up gamewise with both James and Frank, and many of them still shunning their designated target Jozea

Michelle popped out of Diary in a fire hydrant costume, calling them to the veto comp.. she hosted, with Da'Vonne and Corey playing along with Nicole, Jozea, Paulie, and Paul.. we also discovered the new Jeffish for comps blocks is Jeff reviewing his pre-season interviews with Jessie Godderz.. we might have other formers joining him as we go

Paul won the veto and so Frank will (secretly) name a replacement when the time comes.. it was a timed affair with doggie costumes to go with Michelle's hydrant, and it involved stacking things, crawling through tubes and spinning.. Jozea called for another 2am meeting tonight, but that one probably won't happen either - we'll see

Jozea planned another 2am meeting, this time saying it's "crucial", and everyone but Tiffany was invited.. it probably won't happen like last night's didn't, but he had a pre-meeting meeting with Team Big Sister, Team Unicorn, and Paulie.. they started out saying they had to decide what to do about the renom (even though they don't know that choice is Frank's), and Jozea revved it up to a hilarious fever pitch about how "they own the house!!" -Flashback 6/24 8.54pm

Most of the veto players wore their dog suits all evening and Paul wore his veto longer than anyone has before.. Tiffany told Paulie that she's a stuntcast sibling like him, and they bonded over their mutual dislike of "the crazy people"

They got a booze delivery and several of them shotgunned their beers to make them work better.. that led to the dreaded Spin the Bottle and Truth or Dare, with gross-out tasks.. that wrapped up with Victor doing a quick streak with a borrowed pixel placard

Big Brother UK

BB UK began another non-celeb season on June 7, featuring a second group of hamsters called "Others" locked in a separate habitat, at least for now.. use Hide My Ass to watch from outside the UK.. there are loads of other VPNs out there but I use and recommend HMA because it's safe, secure, and easy to use (just select a UK server), available for multiple platforms, plus they have great customer service for questions or problems.. I get a small commission if you sign up using my link, so thanks in advance

With HMA, you can watch live at Channel 5's online live stream link.. shows are usually daily but check the air show schedule - remember UK time is 8 hours ahead of Pacific and 5 hours ahead of Eastern.. the official site has archive air shows and talk shows, highlights, previews, and info

Michelle: Do you have any alien or ghost stories?
Frank: I'm not a nerd, so no

Natalie: I literally just put mayonnaise all over my body.. JAAAAAAMMESSS!!!!

Nicole to Paulie: You're 100% safe, I've never been more sure of anything in Big Brother before

Corey: Me and Clay have a bunch of mutual friends

Tiffany: I hope they give a real edit

Nicole: You guys, don't ever let me drink wine again

Jozea: I want to be on the big screen, be a host.. I could be the next Mario Lopez

Jozea: I have too much personality to be locked into one spot

Bridgette re exercise bike: It's not really my thing to have that seat wedged up my butt

Michelle: I feel like I could get feisty with Bronte or Vic

Paul: Wattagishadooku... who pissed you off? I'm puking later HA!

Nicole: Come on, I've got zit cream on my face - let's be adults here

Corey about a (hetero) wedding: It was gay
Jozea: It was what?
Corey: Not in a bad way
Corey: Gay's not a bad thing, you know that.. that's just like a figure of speech that we always...

Jozea: I hate farts
James: But hey, gotta let them rip
Jozea: It has to pass thru your intestine and ooo girl!

Paul: Don't you think it's weird you're wearing someone's hair?
Da'Vonne: No, because it's mine now, after I get that receipt

Nicole: My bun won't stay in today.. I have a lot more hair than I used to

Paul: I had the whole goddamn BB experience in a week

Paul: So we gotta wait til Thursday for eviction??

Corey: I told them to take money out of my wallet and get more wheat bread

Corey: Paul's a pathological liar.. medically a pathological liar

Ratings - Chaos edition

Ratings are Saturday's for now, based on entertainment value

It's becoming clearer that many of our hamsters don't know what show they're on or how it works, let alone how to play it. I think the clueless ones make for some good entertainment at times, but when there are so many thrown in with six stuntcasts, it comes across as a rather transparent way of ensuring those stuntcasts last longer, especially combined with the team angle and immunity rules. But that's what it is and there's nothing we can do about it. I think we're all a little dazed by the flurry of comps already, but of course it's nice to have new ones and all together it really has been unexpected (and nobody was expecting that!) Feeds launch was smooth, especially with all the new platforms, and the habitat looks terrific.

Won: 1 week pixel suit

Qualified ups because I think she's got potential to be funny, whether intentionally or not, but it's too soon to call as she's mostly in the Who? category at the moment.

Won: Immunity 1st 2 evictions

I don't care about her voice and at least she's good natured about that, and she comes up with some great random lines. She really should tell Paul she's not interested, especially when he starts stroking her inner thigh, but she doesn't. I hope that situation doesn't get creepier.

Won: $2,500

I'm not interested in his or any of their politics, and I was ready to leave his slurs in the past, but he used them on the feeds so it's clearly 'okay' in his mind. But then to tell an animal abuse story like it's a big hilarious yuck, and that he did nothing to stop it at the time (per himself), is way, WAY over my line. Just no.

She seems to be playing better than last time although I'm not following all the gametalk too closely yet. But nobody gives better face or better retells than Day, and she's a definite keeper for both.

Won: 1 week pixel suit

I never had a problem with him the first time and I don't now, but I'm not crazy about him either. I'm looking forward to seeing him save himself with comp wins again, because that annoys the rest of them so much.

Won: Immunity 1st 2 evictions

His shenanigans were fun the first time around, but he hasn't changed his script at all and it's old now. I don't ever like them bringing people back for a second go, even the ones I liked, but consecutive seasons makes it feel like these 100-day seasons last all year.

He's said he's the messiah of the newbies, he owns the house, and he's the next Mario Lopez. This guy is feeds gold but alas, he'll probably be joining Glenn in a few days. I just hope they don't warn him because his level of delusion will make for a classic and very memorable blindside.

Won: 1 week pixel suit

I like how she hasn't stopped dissing the formers she didn't like just because she's one of them now, but she might regret that later when she hangs out with them. She's been a pretty good sport about her pixel suit, and she made it comical by wearing a yellow blanket around all day.

Won: Immunity 1st 2 evictions

She seems pleasant enough but I haven't heard much from her that's particularly interesting one way or another. That could just be because there are so many of them and I just haven't heard much from her, but I really need her to stop screaming and squealing.

Won: $2,500

I don't think she's playing much different than last time, but it's early days and too soon to call. She's a great sport with all the guys' shenanigans and I think she's amusing, but she earns easy grand ups again for her never-ending kooky hair concoctions.

He seems to be a fairly cool guy but his raging insecurity makes him constantly tell everyone how cool he is. He's nearly as delusional as his buddies Jozea and Victor, and that equals fun feeds. Just don't ever ask him over for a drink or two as he's a ridiculously loud, obnoxious, and stupid drunk.

Won: 1 week pixel suit

He gets around and seems to be in good standing with a lot of them, but he's targeted by almost as many. For me so far, he's just wallpaper.

Won: $2,500

See James as far as consecutive season repeats, with the weird addition that she isn't Vanessa, but she looks and sounds so much like her, I'm not convinced they aren't switching in Diary.

Won: Immunity 1st 2 evictions

He's one of the Revolution Buffoons so that makes him delusionally fun and funny, while his game tanks. But with the teams and all, that could be temporary. I'm not convinced he'll end up being great feeds or horrible, but for now it's all good.

I haven't heard enough from her to have much of an opinion either way, but I think she's got huge potential for side-eyeing, behind-the-back bashing, and drama. Here's hoping anyway. She's stunningly beautiful and photogenic, and she seems refreshingly unaware of it.

Won: $2,500

I didn't like having to combine an intro with an obit, but that's how the dog biscuit crumbles. He seemed like a fun guy with potential for fun feeds, especially his admission that he'd be 'willing to flirt if necessary' but he also might have gotten into heated political discussions, and BB is not the place for that. He didn't technically get Jodi'd since he got to compete, but gone before feeds is never good, and neither is trial by combat. Too bad the token older/regular person/fan got the first boot but young, pretty, hormonal hamsters are all the rage anymore.
