Day 66 - Thursday - September 19, 2024
The last morning in Jankie World had most of them still in their sleeping bags when they got their wakeup music. The fishies for that stayed for an hour and change and then switched to adoptable anipals for another hour or so. Feeds came back around noon, most of their stuffed animals had been turned in, and their janky eviction area had been set up. Chelsie whispered to Kimo that T'kor would be evicted, but not to tell her so she's "not in her head" about it all day. Maybe they'll tell her openly before the eviction, or maybe Chelsie will want to be the one to tell her privately for jury management purposes. (Or maybe Rubina will be evicted, Chelsie will cover with Kimo later, and leave Angela and Leah out to dry? Unlikely but possible.) Chelsie also told him they should take a shot at Leah this week when she can't play for HOH, and that Angela would "fall in line." Kimo later told Angela he has an impossible decision and said he heard they were keeping Rubina. Angela confirmed that, and said she too would be voting to keep Rubina. It turned out the Jankie World tee that Rubina cut up and redesigned was Kimo's, and the only one in his size. Rubina said she hadn't known and felt bad, but Kimo said it was okay. (Hopefully BB will set him up with another one, either now or later in his souvenir box.)
Julie opened the show saying "I'm baaaack, and COVID-free" before going to the recaps. Those included more Jankie party misery, like last night's show. I think they dropped the ball on those edits as they had a lot of fun with many of the tasks through the week, and it would have been cute to show some of that too, but no matter. AND why on earth didn't they use the port-a-potty veto meeting intro for the recap gotcha spot?! That was a huge fail. They did include Chelsie moving her cot around to get away from Cam and Makensy, and related Diaries about that dynamic. Before the vote, Jankie popped up for another singalong party, with Julie and the audience participating. Did they hand out lyric sheets and/or rehearse before the show? A lot of ticket-holders probably knew it by heart like us feedsters, but casual attendees wouldn't.
T'kor was evicted 4-1, with Kimo the dissenting vote. She went out classy, as expected, with hugs for all, and she told them not to cry as they had an HOH comp to do. She teared up more than once with Julie, saying she'd hoped to make friends in there and she had, for life. She walked through the empty house like BB24 Joseph after his Dyre Fest eviction, and the dining room table was gone. That was soon explained when Jankie started them on their HOH comp. Competitors were each in different rooms, and they had one hour to stack as many candy items as they could onto a platform. The fastest to finish with the most items would win. Julie told us Zingbot would be on Sunday's show, and Thursday will be the double eviction.
Feeds returned a little before 9pm: they were back inside, there was no talk of Zingbot, Jankie had joked they have another week of Jankie World, Ainsley (now red) appeared and said something about breaking the human spirit and she'll be back, the middle size table for eight seven was in place, their comp rooms were put back together, and Makensy won the HOH. She said her tower fell at 30 minutes in and she started over, and still won. Rubina was second, and Kimo had only eight pieces in his tower when time was up. Makensy said she was excited to tie her build in to her construction experience in her Diary retells. Feeds came in to her wearing Leah's toy tiara, and telling Leah that a lot of people want Kimo out so she'd put him up next to Angela in pawn position, adding anyone who sits next to Angela goes home. Leah said maybe others would take Angela out since they were both in good standing with Angela and she's "a surefire number" for Makensy. Makensy stuck to her plan and said if Kimo wins veto, she'd put up Rubina.
But wait. Makensy met with Rubina next and said she wants Angela out. Rubina said "duh" and Makensy said she'd misled Leah and her real plan is for everyone except Leah to reassure Angela she's safe and then boot her out. She said she'd already talked to Chelsie about it, and that she'd like a tie vote so she could break it and be the one to send Angela out. Makensy then told Kimo the plan, and assured him he'd be safe, and Kimo went along with it again, like he does, with no questions or argument. And Makensy also told Cam. Kimo and Rubina told Chelsie that T'kor had told them to stick with her (Chelsie). The coffee maker and some other items had been replaced, and they thought maybe the ants had been dispatched by an exterminator. Silly hamsters, Team Ants doesn't give up that easily. Angela made dinner and said she'll meet with Makensy sometime later, clearly not concerned she'd be in any danger at all, let alone real danger. They ate at their new table, and they enjoyed having some different food than pizza.

Makensy got her room a little after midnight. She sobbed seeing her family pics and pre-reading her letter from her dad and mom, but she read it aloud without breaking down. She got the usual huge assortment of snacks, treats, cosmetics, sunglasses, clothes, and etc and she was very pleased to get so many items she'd requested. She got Michelob for her booze and Megan Moroney for her music. Everyone seemed happy for her, and they all looked forward to a good night's sleep in beds.

Day 67 - Friday - September 20, 2024
Makensy told Angela she'd be going on the block (again) as a pawn, against Kimo (again), and that he's her target. Angela cried (again) and asked why would Kimo be a target, and Makensy used her line about not wanting bloody hands. (Reminder, Makensy's target is actually Angela.) Angela retreated back to her angry chair, now shifted a few inches due to the smaller table. Makensy retold that talk to Cam and Chelsie, who threw out a lot of anti-Leah material, including her constant talking about herself. Makensy said Leah told her she was aware of that and struggled with it due to her ADHD. Leah griped to Rubina about Makensy's bonanza of HOH goodies compared to the janky basket she got for hers. Also, it came out that Ainsley killed Jankie last night.
The yard opened last night and some of them spent time out there by choice rather than force. Feeds went down around 11am for Zingbot's visit. The zings sounded mild and unfunny, but maybe they'll play better on the show. Angela's was something about her crying and she won't win, Cam's was he has no substance, Chelsie's was positive about her faith but zingy about her relationship (probably referencing Cam), Kimo's was he's in mattress sales because he puts viewers to sleep, Leah's was about her chubby chasing, Makensy's said she's a BB beast because of her dirty feet, and Rubina's was she wanted Tucker to pucker but he's a fucker.
Kimo prepared bacon-wrapped plus nekkid hot dogs and grilled them, without incident, which was lucky since he's an inexperienced griller. (I think the metal monster is going easy on them because it's seen the level of gameplay this season, and it would just be too easy to burn them and their food to crisps.) Leah prepared salmon plus salad with a multi-ingredients dressing. Makensy didn't partake but most others did. Later Makensy and Chelsie griped about Leah taking too long, making something too heavy with noms looming, and not putting things away. In a throwback to the first weeks, Leah chased Cam around the yard, both of them laughing. I think Chelsie was present but not sure.
Makensy nominated Angela and Kimo, as planned. Rubina stuck to the house script and assured Angela she'll be fine, and she suggested maybe Angela should pick Cam to play veto if she gets the option, in case it's something physical like BB Comics. (That's also part of their master plan and script, to discourage Angela from picking Leah.) Angela seemed a little perplexed by that (rightfully so), and asked to confirm if the veto winner is immune if they take someone off the block with it. Yes ma'am. Rubina then assured Kimo that Makensy is probably sincere in telling them that he's the pawn, because "everyone's playing jury management now." Angela and Leah may disagree if/when the real plan is exposed.
Chelsie boosted up Angela, and told her uplifting stories about her work. Makensy joined, and she also boosted up Angela. Group chat over dinner prep was a lot of general topics. Angela asked Leah in the pantry if she thought she (Angela) is in trouble. Leah said she's probably fine, that Makensy had told her last night her plan was to boot Kimo. Leah sounded sincere about believing that. It's hard to tell if Angela suspects or not, since her paranoia gets the better of her even when she's perfectly safe for real.
I'm taking the rest of the night off, so Murphy's Law says things will kick off one way or another. If they do, I'll try to catch it up here tomorrow. But as of now, it's duller than Jankie World on a rainy day.

Has a boyfriend - Survivor applicant?
Crochet business owner Atlanta, GA (orig Chicago, IL/London, UK)
2nd juror - 9th evicted - Day 66
She bonded with Kimo and Rubina early on, and the trio quickly became inseparable. That's heartwarming to see but a voting block of three is a big threat in this game. She was seen as their leader but she was beloved by everyone so it took awhile for her to hit the block. When she finally did, she didn't take it well and withdrew back into her self-described shell, and didn't fight hard enough to stay. She got Tucker out on her HOH, but he would have been a useful ally for her if he'd stayed. She and Kimo had excellent reads on the game and their fellow players throughout, but they didn't do much with those reads besides stealth-whisper to each other a lot. In Week 4 they orchestrated a vote flip but later denied doing so, even to each other. She's accomplished a lot in life at a young age and I have no doubt she'll continue to do so, and I wish her well.

1st juror - 8th evicted - Day 59
He was a different kind of superfan, having seen episodes and RHAP podcasts, but no feeds. He got the best power this show's ever handed out on Day 2, but blabbed it to two people, so by the time he used it everyone knew and the fun was spoiled. That week he put his ally Cedric on the block and he went home, and later he put his ally Joseph on the block, and he went home. But he was allied with nearly everyone at some point, with F2s all over town, and he blew up alliances like it was a hobby. He continually thought he had everyone in his pocket, unaware his pocket had a huge gaping hole and couldn't hold anything. He shouted in Diary but was light and fun much of the time, even when his game was tanking, so props for that. He fell hard for Leah and made 'googleah' eyes at her, and his 'sick nasty' speech to her was instant inspiration for a million memes.

Joseph Rodriguez - 30 31
Instagram
Single - fan applicant/feedster
Video store clerk Tampa, FL
7th evicted - Day 52
He brought a lot of unintentional comedy as he deluded himself about his power and influence, and he proclaimed himself 'star of the show' in one solo talk to himself/us. To his credit, his intentional comedy was every bit as good, although his dry sense of humor wasn't appreciated by some. He had a BB birthday that helped him settle in better socially, and he became the eighth hamster to get 24 hours in solitary. Three of those won their seasons but not this time. Joseph had extra chatty, holographic mini-Matt for company, and he said later he used his toilet tent for extracurricular purposes. He apologized to Angela after being brutally honest about her game, and he acknowledged he had some self-work to do about his 'mean streak.' I'll miss him, and wish him nothing but the best. Props to his siblings and friends for running the best hamster-adjacent socials we've ever seen.

Tucker Des Lauriers - 30
Twitter - Instagram
Single - recruit
Marketing and sales exec Brooklyn, NY (orig Boston, MA)
6th evicted - Day 45
He demolished two AI Arenas and was the first pre-juror to win three vetos in a row(!), along with an HOH. All that plus his boasting made him most everyone's target but he seemed to relish that spot (along with puzzles and biscuits). He was a welcome change from the usual 'comp beast' type, often showing compassion and empathy, and shedding tears over missing his min pin Ziggi. He fell in love with Rubina, and was often loud, sometimes obnoxious, frequently funny, and he usually owned whatever room he was in, including Diary. His gameplay was reckless and unpredictable, nearly always leaving chaos in his wake. He was that extremely rare breed of hamster: a hard gamer, often a good one (sometimes horrible), while being entertaining. He will be missed.

Brooklyn Rivera - 34

Married with kids - fan applicant
Business administrator Dallas, TX (orig Covington, GA)
5th evicted - Day 38
She brought us a number of classic shockfaces for various blindsides, and she said 'this doesn't quite feel like Big Brother' when she was on the block and on her way out. I beg to differ. She confessed her sports dancer secret to Quinn (who told several), her Mrs America secret to Chelsie (who didn't), but I don't think she told anyone she's friends with Aaryn. Thanks to Cam, she provided a fun Michael Jackson side game out here for her last couple weeks. She never tired of saying she wanted a married mother to win this season, so I guess we can assume she'll be rooting from home for Angela.

Cedric Hodges - 21

Single - recruit
Former Marine Boise, ID (orig Running Springs, CA)
4th evicted - Day 31
He prepped by watching analysis clips and didn't see any full seasons so he had an unusual balance of BB lore and knowledge. He was a good sport about being sidelined Week 1 and he used that time well, becoming well-liked by all of them. 'Young Cedric' was an ongoing, evolving skit and his own elaborate life stories usually had them and us in stitches. Between expecting volunteers for the block and painting himself into a no-win corner between his various alliances, his HOH was a disaster. Then he volunteered to be a pawn the following week and learned the meaning of 'pawns go home.' He was funny, genuine, wise and mature beyond his years, and he'll be missed.

Married with kids - fan applicant
Former undercover cop Boston, MA
3rd evicted - Day 24
He adopted Matt and lost him fast, then he won a veto, and the rest of the time he said he wanted to quit. He rallied a bit at the end when he teamed up with Cedric and Tucker, adding Cam when he walked in on them, but that got blown up immediately. He mostly sat by himself and shouted out his family, or he complained to others about missing them, so they sent him back to them.

Celebrity chef Los Angeles, CA
2nd evicted - Day 17
She's a legit chef/caterer and ran that into the ground, along with sprinkling edible glitter on everyone's food whether they wanted it or not. Tucker's rants about her were an early highlight, and she crumbled after Angela mocked her walk and called her a twit. Props for winning the first veto (rare for a woman), but she wasn't cut out for this setting. Most of that was simply being a bad roommate: she made (and wasted) food they didn't want, dabbed non-consensual essential oil on her roomies' pillows, propped filthy feet on food surfaces, and she never tired of telling everyone what a special and unique person she was.

Tech sales rep Roswell, GA (orig Loganvilla, GA)
1st evicted - Day 10
He filled the pretty boy/brojock casting slot perfectly but didn't like Angela pointing that out openly and immediately. He was adamant about not being 'that guy' and to his credit, he did talk a lot against toxic masculinity. He cried after Angela yelled at him, but went out in high spirits with ginormous smiles for Julie.

THE REAL SHOW IS THE FEEDS

BB1 thru BB25 plus Celebs and OTT, and loads of other shows and movies, plus originals

GAME TWISTS
-First and second move-in groups of eight voted against letting Ainsley join as 17th player, and each group played comps based on their votes.
-Losers Cedric, Chelsie were Week 1 mascots: couldn't compete for HOH or veto, couldn't vote, could be nominated.
-Makensy won America's Veto: once in first four weeks, she can remove someone from the block and viewers will instant-vote the replacement. She used it Week 3 after she went up as veto renom.
-Quinn won Deep Fake HOH: once in first four weeks, the HOH's AI avatar will announce noms Quinn secretly picked, and he can spread misinfo and rumors via that fake avatar. He used it Week 4 to take over Angela's 2nd HOH (everyone knew about it).
-Weeks 1 thru 7: HOH picked three nominees, and veto renom if applicable. The three competed live in AI Arena before the vote, and the winner came off the block.
-Week 6: Viewer vote to pick someone for AI Instigator (Tucker), who could spread rumors via others' AI avatars. A second vote determined how much cash he won ($20k).
-Week 9: Jankie World: everyone lived outside in a carnival setting, with carnival food and periodic signals to sing and dance.
