Daily Feeds Recaps

Day 50 - Wednesday - August 24, 2022

The outsiders continued their vigil of killing time and waiting for separation to be over. Joseph and Kyle talked about social media and how it's often an overall negative. Kyle said "it doesn't have to be bad" but he isn't aware of what social media's been saying about him these many weeks. Brittany and Michael decided to tell Jasmine "sometime today" that she's going, and said Taylor wanted to participate in that but Monte didn't. They agreed not to tell her about Leftovers, with Brittany adding the first couple jurors will explain everything. Michael said he'd been envious of Joseph's spot playing the middle so well, and they agreed the two of them will do that after the two sides re-merge. They have no idea everyone outside knows everything now, and will be targeting them, especially Michael.

Joseph and Turner had a check-in, with Joseph again saying Leftovers are over and "we have our own thing out here" plus more talk about blowing things up and sacrificing himself for the Turner, Alyssa, Terrance to go forward. So all that apparently isn't just talk for Alyssa's and Terrance's benefit. Again, we have so many gaps of what went on out there without us, it's like having to piece together first week feeds after the fact when we didn't have those. Joseph also asked Turner to let him know if he's annoying others with his pitches. Turner didn't say anything to that, even though all four of them agreed last night that Joseph was being very annoying. Alyssa, Turner, Terrance then met and agreed to evict Joseph, and to stick together along with Kyle going forward. Jasmine started packing, as Brittany, Michael, Taylor planned a very elaborate plan of what to say and not say to her, rather than just telling her about Leftovers, and they said it was for jury management reasons. (More likely they'll probably manage to lose her jury vote if any of them are up against anyone else at the end.) Kyle told Alyssa if he ends up going this week, she should go next week so they have a month at jury house together.

Brittany, Michael, Taylor finally had their chat with Jasmine, starting around 4.45pm. They let her kick it off with a campaign pitch to stay, which was downright cringey knowing the reason for the meeting. They soon got down to business though, with Brittany, Michael, Taylor each getting in their questions about various alliances and past events, as they'd scripted earlier. That quickly took on an interrogation tone and Jasmine soon got wound up and did some quick dancing as she explained away allegations and accusations about Girls Girls, Old Skool, Five Swatters, and they told her Alyssa was the one who'd spilled a lot of it. But the others already knew the answers and they let Jasmine know they did. They did not let her know about Leftovers.

Jasmine had a major reaction when they accused her of having a final two with Alyssa, strongly denying and swearing on her father's grave that she didn't. That was when she started to get teary, and she soon realized she was going. She thanked them for being honest with her (!), and said she thought her dad would be proud of how she did, and said she'll be rooting for them all, and she said "just don't let Turner win." She asked if Monte being the original target this week was a lie and Michael said it was, adding "you're good at reading people." Ouch. They gave her kudos for doing as well as she had, between her wrenched ankle and passing out at the aerial veto comp, and she of course liked hearing that. She said her biggest regret was not standing up about the early Taylor bashing. (She didn't acknowledge being a major part of that.) Taylor said they've already talked it out and added "I'm never gonna hold that against you," and said they'll be friends after this.

Jasmine later told Monte, who said "mm-hmm" a lot, and he side-stepped answering directly when she asked if he was tight with Joseph. Monte then reported to and compared notes with Brittany, Michael, Taylor.

Alyssa told Kyle she was sorry she'd been snippy with him and he said "don't be," and then she launched into a laundry list of complaints. She said she was angry he'd lied to her for a month, that he repeated things she'd told him, that he said he'd vote her out, and a number of additional items. She got sniffly and said "it's a lot," and he said "mm-hmm." She said it doesn't change that they like each other and he was just doing what he thought he had to, and she said her parents wouldn't tell her things when she was growing up because she had a big mouth and this was stirring that up again. She said she was glad she got that all out and he finally said he was sorry but wasn't sure what for, but eventually said "I'm sorry for everything." Predictably they soon were talking about how many kids they'll have and how cute they'll be, and that they'd like to go to Greece but neither knew if it's a city or country, and he wanted to get high with her while they were in California where marijuana's legal, and he said he'd only done it once before but he'd start drinking and doing hard drugs for her if she wanted him to.

Jasmine rebounded, or at least appeared to, and she was in good spirits for dinner prep. Alyssa and Turner had one of their generally fun, general topics chats in the hammock. That came around to game and Turner asked if she thought they should have a final three with Kyle, "or would that be messy because there's only four of us?" Alyssa said "no, I think we should." Recall Turner already has an F2 with Kyle as well as a pledge from Terrance, so maybe he was just looking for a little added insurance to cover all his bases. Taylor and Monte hung out in the bathroom chatting as she showered and did her hair and skin routines. Jasmine came through and said she was off to bed, and Michael came through and said Brittany was also done for the night. He offered ciders to Monte and Taylor, who'd already talked about having a drink later, so they accepted and the three headed up to HOH, waking Brittany to join them along the way - she'd been napping in the skybridge tiki area. They chatted about game and non-game stuff, made some jokes and had some fun, and made it clear they had no idea what's about to hit them tomorrow.

Jasmine will be walking the plank (or maybe limping) to Julie's boudoir tomorrow, with the four remaining Brochellas confident they'd followed the Leftovers agenda, blissfully unaware the outsiders know pretty much everything. And it's all but certain Joseph will be the Dyre Festers' evictee, with those four remainders bonded together to move against the insiders. Tomorrow night could be interesting - here's hoping we get feeds as soon as the show's over to watch it unfold.

Day 49 - Tuesday - August 23, 2022

Monte and Taylor chatted over breakfast about her past and prior jobs she's had. He seemed interested, and he has been making efforts to get to know her better and it's about time, since it's Day 49. And he has now apologized to her at least three times for his part in the first weeks mess about her. There were a few more extended WBRB blocks, and early afternoon found all the insiders locked in HOH. They chit-chatted about random topics, and they were apparently told they'd be getting burgers delivered tonight. Afterwards they found evidence the outsiders had been inside and Taylor said they were upstairs and outsiders were in because there was some outside maintenance. I don't know if she was told or heard that, or if she was speculating. There were also reports of another wall yeller today so maybe it was that. Jasmine had been very perky again and conversational during the HOH lockdown. It would have been a good time for them to let her know she's going, as they've mentioned doing, but they didn't take advantage of the situation to do so.

Afterwards Brittany and Michael had a quick whisper, with Brittany second-guessing evicting Jasmine, followed by a solo and silent self-hypnosis session on all feeds. We still had no backyard feeds. The nine words heard in yesterday's half-second leak weren't much to go on at all, but it did seem to me like Kyle and Joseph may have been presenting their similar but different stories. I believe outing the Old Skool alliance was probably one of the main differences in those stories: Kyle told Terrance that Ameerah had told Joseph about that, but all the outsiders except Terrance knew Alyssa told Kyle about that. Recall Joseph recently graduated law school so he knows how to present an argument, versus Kyle's done corporate sales and TikTok dancing. Joseph would have Turner for backup but Turner probably wouldn't want to get into it too deep since he's in a relatively good spot with Terrance. Kyle would have Alyssa for backup, but she only found out about everything the same day Terrance did, and she has often said she's not a good liar.

There were still a lot of extended WBRBs for the insiders, and no feeds at all on the outsiders until almost 6pm. Everyone was there and all the ridiculous rumors were laid to rest. Again. For now. The overhead translucent cover over the yard (anti-drone device) had been installed, which was probably the maintenance item discussed earlier. The Dyre Festers said it cut the breeze but it maybe cut some bugs as well. Conversation was TV shows, hot dogs, veggie bologna, and Chinese checkers. Insiders were getting ready for their burgers, amid ongoing speculation about what's going on outside. Turner confirmed he was off the block, and Kyle eventually confirmed that he was on it. Team Ants was marching hard, taking over their makeshift sleep zone. Inside, the Brochellas got their burgers and fries.

Joseph pitched to Terrance, promising loyalty going forward and saying he'll blow up the house to prove it, even if it means he'd go home next week, and he said Kyle had betrayed everyone. He said "I will never forgive Michael for what he did" (which was probably about Michael not picking Joseph so Terrance would take him out, or it could have been about flipping on Leftovers to buddy up with Kyle and Alyssa, plus Brittany, if that came out.) And Joseph said he'd been playing a team game "but you gotta be flexible and I got a new team, this is Big Brother Part 2 and what happened in 1 is done." When he left, Terrance told his wife's pic "I need your help" making it sound like he was undecided, if it's a tie. But later he mocked Joseph's "blow up the house" pitch to Alyssa, and told her "you or Kyle, whoever wins that HOH, Michael and Taylor, have a seat." And he told her Joseph was irritating him with all the one-on-ones. Joseph said he plans another one though with the voters Alyssa and Turner, and Terrance the potential tiebreaker.

From there Alyssa, Turner, Joseph, Kyle played cornhole in the backyard, and Monte taught chess to Jasmine inside. They were dull feeds, but they were feeds. Outsiders played Chinese checkers after that, and all but Terrance sat in and around the hot tub. Mostly Joseph and Alyssa did the season rehash, and talked about Leftovers, with Joseph inserting a lot of anti-Michael and anti-Taylor. Then Alyssa, Kyle, Turner, Terrance agreed Joseph was being annoying with all his gametalks with them, and Pooching himself. Kyle asked how they'd handle the re-merge with the insiders, and Terrance said they can just say he had all the power and made the decisions, everything sucked, and there was no privacy to talk game. Kyle suggested they don't acknowledge that Leftovers were outed (he said by Joseph) or even mentioned. Inside, Monte and Jasmine had a nice chat, each of them believing the other was leaving, but Jasmine seemed to have a few moments of doubt that it could be her (it will be her), and Taylor and Brittany had another lengthy whispery strategy session about going forward.

We still don't know how much came out during the Dyre days without us, in what form (truth or lies or in-between), or what the reactions were.

Day 48 - Monday - August 22, 2022

All feeds went to anipals for a few hours overnight, starting shortly after 4am. Someone out here said they'd hollered "Kyle's a racist!" If so, that's probably why all feeds were blocked again, as little sense as that makes. We did see a quick flash of the outsiders around 11.30pm last night - see Goof Tally below. That was likely a control room error. It's a sad state of affairs when a glimpse of hamsters on feeds qualifies as a goof, but here we are.

Insiders were woken around 10am this morning, and Michael, Monte, Taylor discovered Jasmine had been hiding granola again. Two veto meetings will happen today. Brittany isn't likely to use her Brochella one, but it's hard to tell what Terrance will do with his since Dyre Festers were gaming under several layers of truths and lies last we saw them. It's possible we won't know about theirs until Wednesday's show, since we aren't privy to what's happening out there. Thanks wall yellers.

Inside feeds were down much of the day but they did their veto meeting and the assumption is Brittany did not use hers. Jasmine was in very high spirits in the afternoon as they speculated what might be going on outside, who was nominated and who won veto, along with other topics. She was either overcompensating or she may still believe Monte's the actual target (how many weeks has she fallen for that now?) There was another brief glimpse of the backyard crew but no indication about Terrance's veto. That glimpse showed Joseph, Terrance, Turner in a conversation with Kyle off-camera, who said "hey join my Festie Besties, we got your back" so I'm assuming another season rehash. Maybe Kyle's and Joseph's conflicting stories both came out and there was scrambling about which was true? Who knows.

Evening rolled on with some longish clumbs of feeds between the frequent WBRB blocks, and the 48 hour mark was passed since we had outsider feeds, other than those two quick flashes. The five insiders herded together like late season hamsters, which is effectively what it's like for them since they dwindled to five. They went from bumper pool to the dining table as a group, with conversation topics ranging from astronaut sex, astronaut erections, wild hogs, skinny jeans versus mom jeans, adoption, and lakes (Monte said he's never been to one in this country, but he had visited a German lake). They wondered who Twitter was talking about most and they decided that would be Indy. Huh. Jasmine remained chirpy, talkative, and upbeat. She said she knew Turner took her muffin because she "has a tactic" where she knows someone is lying. But she didn't think he was responsible for the cookie, and her perky mood indicated she didn't seem to think she was in any danger. (And again, never mind how many weeks she and her teamies fell for lies.) A rumor came along that Terrance replaced Turner with Kyle but there's no confirmation of that.

Michael said he made a reference to Thursday [in Diary] and he was asked to resay it without using Thursday, and Taylor said "me too," adding fuel to their theory that eviction will be sooner. (I don't think there's anything to that since Wednesday veto show has been promoted, and tickets have been distributed for the Thursday live show.) The herding finally broke up, and Brittany talked with Michael as he bubble bathed. They talked about telling Jasmine she'd be going and decided they should, since they're in jury phase now, and they discussed telling Taylor they'd learned the three of then were late adds tacked on to the four guys' alliance. They speculated about different combinations of who was on the block outside, and various scenarios going forward. Michael said his ideal final five would be themselves, Taylor, Terrance, and Alyssa or Joseph. Jasmine eventually joined them to be perky and chatty some more.

Monte and Taylor also discussed scenarios in the downstairs bathroom, as well as warning Jasmine, and Michael's excellent and scary win record. Moving to the dining table, they rehashed the Week 1 mess and Paloma's hatred for Taylor. She told him that he was the first person she'd talked any game to when she told him she thought a girls alliance was forming. He said "I feel like a fuckin dickhead, OMG I am so sorry, OMG." Taylor said she still has no idea what all was said about her in those first weeks.

Ratings - Deep Thoughts edition

Ratings are Saturday's, based on their possible thoughts and entertainment value

Noms count: original/renom

Thursday's two hour show was not the best. They spent the entire first hour and a quarter of the next one on recaps and fluff, when they could/should have sent Indy on her way in the first half, then spent the second setting up the split. The HOH/s comp could have been better if played blind rather than knock-out style, and the sides should have been blind or randomized in some way, not playground picks. What's the point of 'shaking up the house' or 'turning it upside down' or whatever dramatic phrase the narrator will use if they don't actually shake it up? It's actually a brand new twist (gasp!) but they went about it the same old way. Let's not even talk about why it took 5.5 hours for feeds to show up after the show wrapped.

That said, I think it's still a good twist in principle (or could have been). I don't know but I suspect these things are set up well in advance before they even know how the game will play out as far as allies, duos, etc. Granted, Leftovers are a popular alliance, especially for a big alliance steamrolling their way through several weeks, and a lot of feedsters are upset they could be broken up by this twist rather than organically. But if it was an unpopular big alliance, people would be all for it. That's just this fanbase being typically fickle and hypocritical. The blind 'my team rules, your team sucks' logic that's used for BB as often as it is for sports.

Edit-wise, they did include some of Kyle's campaign against the hamsters of color but they glossed over it, omitting things like him calling his ideal team of white hamsters the 'silent majority' and continually saying and hinting that the others were threatening in some way, when that's completely false. And they included the sloppy showmance but they went easy on Kyle again by omitting the '10 seconds' confessions. That's comedy gold, and you can't say it would be cruel or accusatory because Kyle said it himself! Twice! About two different times! You also can't say it's too risque for BB. Again, they were still recapping in the 10pm hour and anyway, the 8.30pm comedy show leading into Thursday night's BB made a joke near the end of the episode (when I tune in) about a personal massager. Twice.

I think we were all hoping and expecting a little more for the outsiders setup (remember Ian's doghouse? OTT Scott's golf course?) but it was a takeoff on Fyre Festival, so we'll let that slide for authenticity's sake. I know many were excited about an audience in the studio again but I don't much care about that either way.

All in all, it would be a resounding neutral but they had the audacity and extremely poor taste to tweet a poll during the episode asking 'Pick your poison' with choices of Skid or Fancy. Once again, the characters were obviously based on Sid [Vicious] and Nancy [Spungen], and Taylor and Joseph were told that. As a couple, Sid and Nancy were known for being completely strung out on heroin and other drugs until Nancy was stabbed and bled to death at age 20. Sid was charged but died from an overdose at age 21, before trial. Not a feelgood story that Taylor and Joseph will be pleased to learn they were parodying, not characters to base a gag around, and definitely not a basis for a 'fun' poll using the word poison.

Won: $5,000; Week 1 Backstage Pass

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0
Have-not 1

I really like it here. I'm having a wonderful summer. I wish I could write things down about it. I don't cry very often here but sometimes I do. I like Kyle. He's cute. Except when he gets mad at me. Is he mad now? I'll make it so he's not mad at me. I know how to do that. He's cute. Everybody talks about their game this, their game that. This game was hard once but mostly it's fun. Wait, it was hard twice. Anyway, people need to just CHILL and have a good summer. Where's Kyle?

Won: Week 1 Backstage Pass; Week 1 viewer safety vote; Week 5 immunity (HOH Bestie)

HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Co-veto 1 - Noms 1/0
Have-not 0

I really love this game. Well I didn't always love it when I was being left out of every alliance I was in, but now I love it again. And I'm second for most comp wins, right behind Michael! I wish they hadn't closed my office room though. I like going in there to relax and cry and hypnotize myself. There's a weird smell in there sometimes, but it doesn't last long.

Won: Week 3 immunity (HOH Bestie); London trip

HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0
Have-not 1

Well hey y'all! You're looking better than a chicken wing drowned in ranch salsa! I'm a little nervous about being on the block but it just shows what a really good sport I am! I'm not worried though, they aren't going to let me go anywhere - I'm the star! Didn't y'all see my birthday party? IT WAS ON TV! Your birthday party wasn't on TV. It's still my birthday month so if y'all didn't send me something yet, y'all can send me some Doritos, and maybe some pickles and Koolaid and spaghetti with ranch salsa. And some wings! Don't forget my wings!

Won: Week 4 immunity (HOH Bestie); 48 hr Skid tied to Taylor

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 2/0
Have-not 1

I think we can save this week. I have a plan. Just hear me out, it won't take more than two, maybe three hours. It's a little complicated but I know it'll work. They didn't think I'd get away with 'borrowing' my dad's safe so I could go to that party either, but I did and there's proof. Lots and lots of proof. Sorry, Dad.

Won: TBA

HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Co-veto 1 - Noms 0/2
Have-not 1

Oh my gosh this game is crazy but I'm so good at it I'm going to win and get more TikTok followers to watch me and my mom. I was in every alliance except the girls one because duh I'm a boy, and the old people one because duh I'm a boy. Then I went rogue and told all the alliances about all about the other alliances because I'm a genius! I guess that would make me a rat if everybody didn't love me and want me to win. HA HA rogue rat get it? That's what I'll call my new alliance of me. And then there's Alyssa. I call her Ahhlyssa because I say ahh whenever I think about her. I like thinking about her. Just thinking about her makes soooo hor‑‑ oh shit there I go again.

Won: TBA

HOH 2 - Veto 3 - Co-veto 1 - Noms 2/0
Have-not 1

It's not easy playing dumb when you're not. And it's not easy losing comps when you could win them all. I had to slow down my win streak because they were starting to notice, so I let Brittany have this veto so they don't think I'm a comp beast threat.

Won: TBA

HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 2/0
Have-not 1

It's not easy for a guy of my size and presence to keep a low profile but that's how good I am. I'm here for the long haul and after I win this, I'll launch my fitness empire.
PS Please don't tell anyone Alyssa's and Terrance's backs were wrecked after their workout with me. That was their backs' fault, not mine.

Won: Week 5 surviving Bestie pick; 48 hr Fancy tied to Joseph

HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/2
Have-not 0

Paloma, check. Ameerah, check. Nicole, check. Daniel, check. Indy, check. Jasmine next, check. Karma doesn't always work out in such a tangible or timely way, but sometimes it does.
(This probably isn't actually Taylor's thought process though: she's been very gracious to and about all those named.)

Won: Week 4 surviving Bestie pick; Week 4 immunity (HOH Bestie); 1 week 4.5 days Ink 182 temp tats

HOH 1 - Veto 1 - Noms 3/1
Have-not 1

Oh hell no, you don't really think you tricked me, do you? I knew what was going on, I just didn't say so. And if I did say so, I'd do it in my DJ voice. Showtime616. Follow me. I won HOH because I know everyone's been out to get me and putting me on the block every week. Now it's my time. You go on the block and you go on the block. Wait, what's that, Kyle? Oh I knew all that all along. Okay YOU and YOU go on the block. That's what I was going to do anyway. And now I've won the veto so nobody can put me on the block again this week.

This week isn't fire or festive. Facts. I miss Megan.

Won: Punkaroo 1 week concerts

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 2/0
Have-not 1

1st juror - 5th evicted - Day 44

She was often loud and often acted more like she was playing BB Brasil than USA, with more attention given to her frequent (loud) shoutouts and camera messages than to the game going on around her. She was another of the early season Taylor haters but it lingered on with Indy after the others left or backed off. Indy was one of the few who confronted Taylor face to face (over soup), but her most vicious was a tirade to Joseph saying she HATES it when he and the guys talk with Taylor. But she was often fun and upbeat, and she was a better sport about her Punkaroo punkitard than most expected. And I always give kudos for non-native English speakers in this game that's based around whispers, conversations, and retells.

Won: Nothing

HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Co-veto 1 - Noms 0/1
Have-not 1

4th evicted - Day 37

Day 18 to Taylor: 'Don't speak to me until finale. The thing you did to Paloma you're trying to do to [Nicole], you can fuck right off. You don't think America's watching all that? You don't think so? From here on out do not speak to me. I will never forget what you did to Paloma. You think she didn't spiral because of you? You didn't add to that? And now you're trying to do it to Nicole, mind game. Do not speak to Nicole like that ever again.'
Don't get it twisted. First, mental illness doesn't work that way. Second, Terrance first suggested all that, Nicole planted it in Daniel's head, and he's the one who ran rabid with it, with her urging and blessing. They were peas from the same rotten pod and each fed off the other's vileness. I hope I never hear about either of these Toxic Twins again.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/1

3rd evicted - Day 30

Arrogant, aggressive, entitled, overbearing, self-serving and self-centered. She took over the Taylor hate train when Paloma left and ran it off the rails. She had no redeemable watchable qualities, least of all being entertaining in the slightest. I thought about doing Ozark ratings some week but I lost my Wendy Byrde with her exit. Verbatim quote from this 'superfan': 'They've done something that no other alliance has ever done in this game, in Big Brother history, they created a pact of people to make you think you're safe and say I got your back, and then this [betrayal] happens.' Hello? Welcome to BB.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/1
Have-not 0

2nd evicted - Day 23

She was one of the Taylor haters under Paloma's direction, but she kept it up after Paloma's exit, even after Turner referred to it in his noms speech. That was one reason she went on the block as backdoor target and eventual exit, along with Michael and Kyle stressing her general smarts. She pushed for Pooch to go after he volunteered himself, and then she was blindsided when it was her own turn to meet Julie.

Won: Week 1 Backstage Boss/immunity

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0
Have-not 1

1st evicted - Day 16

Volunteering to go on the block is always dicey, but especially as early as he did before any real trust is formed. And now he knows why. He's lucky Julie was COVID-distanced or she might have whacked him. He put all his eggs in a broken Oasis basket, and he irritated a lot of them with his antics and touchy-feely. When Joseph tried to help and warn him about that, he just got mad at Joseph. Like Paloma, he talked constantly and very, very fast. He seems like he's got a good heart so good luck to him from here.

Won: Week 1 Backstage Pass

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0
Have-not 0

Left the game - Day 8

She drove the game at the start, and she ignited and fueled the unjustified Taylor hate which continued to thrive even after she left. When she started to spiral, her conspiracy theories and delusions would have been comical if they weren't indicative of something more serious going on. It was probably best for her to go when she did, and for me - her nonstop superfast talking was stressing me out.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0
Have-not 0

He was replaced pre-season by Joseph, but you can catch him on America's Got Talent and The Circle.
