Daily Feeds Recaps
Day 38 - Friday - August 12, 2022
Terrance and Turner were part of the new morning crew as Daniel was being interrogated and eviscerated in his morning-after QAs. In the habitat they all think everything's back to normal now that Besties are dead, but confusion and speculation ran wild out here about the upcoming twist. My understanding plus guesswork are Thursday will be eviction as usual, and the second hour will set up the new twist. They'll split into two teams of five somehow and end up with two HOHs - possibly all within the same comp, or possibly they'll do two HOH comps after splitting up. Each side will do noms and veto as usual during the week, separately, and each side will evict someone on Thursday, or everyone will vote with four nominees. As far as logistics of keeping them separate with "no interaction" it seems logical to me one group could live upstairs and one downstairs, with separate kitchen and backyard shifts. It doesn't make sense they'd install the infrastructure this show requires in one of their alternate spaces for just one week, not to mention bathroom and kitchen facilities. (Note I am usually wrong when I try to guess things like this.) Julie will explain it all on Thursday. What I'm concerned about is how they'll run the feeds if two games are underway, unless they switch to using each of the four feeds for separate convos when applicable. We'll see.
Back to this week, Taylor will be nominating Indy and Terrance, with Terrance her primary target and Indy the alternate option if Terrance comes off the block with veto. However she and the other Leftovers are letting the other side believe her target is Monte until veto meeting Monday. Indy found out she might be going up as a "pond" (her word, like BB5 Cowboy) and she wasn't pleased. She said she wouldn't use Taylor as a pond and Taylor reminded her that the girls did just that, adding "I was disposable then." Indy argued she wasn't in power, Jasmine did that. Technicalities. Taylor told Terrance he would be going up as a pawn to get Monte gone, and told him not to throw the veto like last week, "play your game." So Taylor's likely to give us yet another Monday afternoon follies day, and she has no qualms about getting bloody hands. That's refreshing for us, and mind-boggling how Convenience Store falls for it every damn week. Meanwhile, Joseph pitched to Taylor the idea of taking Indy down with veto so Alyssa goes up and out, plus a very lot of convoluted ideas about continued fake alliances and double-dipping going forward.
Taylor nominated Indy and Terrance, as planned. Indy asked Turner if she could pick him for veto if she gets HG Choice and if he'd use it on her, and he agreed. Indy then used her special heavenly hotline phone to call God to ask for veto comp help so she can win, and she loves his work, and he's her sugar daddy. From there she went to Taylor to do a lot of rehashing and make a lot of excuses and explanations about things. Taylor said she'll use veto on Indy if she wins, and I didn't follow the rest - I dropped out when Indy said she doesn't like to be a mean girl. Jasmine then met with Taylor to point out they're only two Black women left and they've both won HOH. And she asked Taylor to guess who she thinks the F5 will be. Taylor said herself, Michael, Kyle, Alyssa, Jasmine and Jasmine said Taylor, Michael, and they got sidetracked (perhaps intentionally) before she finished. Elsewhere, the rest of them looked for a pantry restock that hadn't come, and they foraged for food plans from the many remaining options they still had. Joseph and Taylor discussed maybe putting up Monte as renom after all, if they have the votes to keep him, to keep faith with Terrance in jury, and Joseph said he'd be willing to up if needed.
Joseph's plan to go on the block kept building momentum, at least with himself. He talked at length about it to Taylor, and Michael, and eventually Monte and Kyle, and Turner. Nobody tried to talk him out of it - likely because each them wants and probably believes they can win, and to do that they'll need to outlast all their fellow Leftovers. Letting Joseph Pooch himself would be a painless way to get one step closer to the confetti. Which isn't saying they want Joseph to go, but you have to factor everything into these scenarios, and lust for that $750k is always a major factor whether they mention it or not. Michael and Brittany discussed the possibility of going rogue and booting Joseph if he ends up on the block, but they agreed to wait to see what happens and reassess when the time comes.

Jasmine wrapped her boot and herself in plastic trash bags, donned a face mask, and went swish-swish-swish through the house to clean the bathroom and the shower, which was extra awful with the debris of last night's various goops and Bigfoot hair. Terrance showed up to kind of help, which turned out to be mostly standing around to monitor in case she slipped in the slick shower slime, as well as to hold open trash bags as needed, and he finally grabbed some bottles and razors from the shower. Meanwhile, Alyssa melted into the furniture, and later helped make some boxed mac 'n cheese. As everyone else sat down to eat, Jasmine and especially Terrance started up the griping: she about nobody else offering to help, and he about not wanting to participate in their conversation topics, plus "fuck this game, are y'all fucking human? You nasty motherfuckers, like what the fuck, like how y'all move in your regular life?" Later Jasmine griped that nobody offered to help, and nobody even went into the bathroom during that time when normally they're in there all the time.
In other news, it looks like live show audiences will return next Thursday. See 'Live Show Tickets' link on left sidebar.

Day 37 - Thursday - August 11, 2022
Early riser Daniel rose for his last morning in the habitat and made his way to the Zingbot-looking coffee machine, past the door he'll go through in a few hours. I guess that'll leave Terrance as the only early-ish riser going forward. Last night the mostly-fake Five Swatters alliance was formed: comprising of Alyssa, Indy, Jasmine plus Joseph, Kyle. Joseph told Michael and Brittany about it this morning, saying "what the fuck are we again, something Fly Swatters?" when Michael asked if they'd named it.
The other thing maybe brewing is last night Michael asked Jasmine if Terrance had been creeping out any of the girls - possibly concern, possibly pre-planting a target on Terrance, probably a combo of both. At some point, apparently Terrance made a comment about rapper Joe Budden's domestic abuse allegations, and Terrance not supporting him due to that, plus something along the lines of the women that choose to go back with him know what they're signing up for. I didn't hear that convo, but Jasmine reported it to Taylor this morning. So again maybe unrelated, or maybe related to Michael's convo with Jasmine last night. I'm only including it here in case it blows up into something later. Also this morning, Taylor did a happy Revenge Day dance with her morning coffee, eager to finally see the back of Daniel.
Daniel was evicted 8-1 with Terrance the lone dissenter, and the only hug Daniel gave on his way out. He was cocky with Julie, including an I-knew-it attitude when she told him about Leftovers, but his face visibly dropped when she said they formed in response to his bathroom attack on Taylor. He said he respected that but I think he'll be surprised when all the backlash actually hits him. And he said he didn't take any responsibility for Nicole's eviction. Michael referenced the Gordon Ramsay/Julie "idiot sandwich" gif in his farewell and I wish we'd had a camera on Julie for that, and Taylor said she'd never been happier to see anyone's "sorry ass" walk out the door.
Julie told the remainders Festie Besties was over which made them smile, and that they'd all made jury which made them cheer (because six to seven more weeks of stipend, and TV time). Julie started them on their comp, and then she told us next Thursday's show is two hours, in which "the game will change as the house splits into two groups." She said there'd be no interaction between the two groups, and two completely separate games of BB will play out simultaneously all week, ending with a double eviction on August 25.
The HOH comp was Conspiracy Fest, played on a flat Earth wall with each of them wearing tinfoil hats. Of course it tilted forward regularly and they were pelted with various things as announced by a hippy dippy conspiracy theorist including chem trail wind, aliens among us green goop, fake news everywhere rolled up newspapers, Loch Ness monster blue goop, Bigfoot is real sasquatch hair, and aliens are real pink goop.

Julie started them at 6.54pm. Drops in order were 6.59pm Jasmine; 7.09pm Brittany; 7.11pm Terrance; 7.20pm Monte; 7.21pm Alyssa; 7.33 Indy; 7.37 Turner; 7.38 Joseph; 7.40 Kyle dropped and Taylor won. She was sobbing tears of joy and you have to admit that's how to have a revenge day!
There was a very lot of excitable cross-talk after the comp, plus retells about it, plus many long showers. Terrance told someone he'd always been on Taylor's side even during the first weeks of shun (oh really?) so he felt confident he'd be okay, Kyle was also sure he'd be okay because Leftovers, Jasmine kept saying she didn't want to be on slop or the block for her birthday week, Alyssa wanted her showmance to stay together, and so on. Terrance, Alyssa, and various others took their turns shmoozing Taylor, who coddled them all in turn. Eventually she had a quick whisper with Michael and Brittany, hinting Terrance will be her target, and she said she'd told the girls they aren't her targets, but she didn't tell them they wouldn't be pawns like they made her. As of midnight there was no news either way about Have-nots, so maybe there won't be any again.
Taylor got her room around 12.30am and everyone trooped upstairs (Brittany slipped on them). She got a letter from her mom that was signed "always your stan" which made Taylor laugh, and she had pics of her mom, grandma, and great grandma - she said that one surprised her, and visibly touched her. She got Stella hard cider, a wide assortment of Lay's products, a pink HOH robe and hat, a hoodie, leopard slippers, various cosmetics, a huge assortment of fresh and frozen foods and snacks, and her music was Janet Jackson. She said she feels good about everyone left in the house and things will start getting harder now. And she said she'll hold one-on-ones tonight with whoever wants to meet, and she suggested they come up with cleaning responsibilities for everyone since certain people seemed to always be doing more than certain others. Those kicked off with her shmoozing Terrance, Indy, Alyssa, Jasmine in turn, letting them think she'll be targeting Monte (no).

4th evicted - Day 37
Day 18 to Taylor: 'Don't speak to me until finale. The thing you did to Paloma you're trying to do to [Nicole], you can fuck right off. You don't think America's watching all that? You don't think so? From here on out do not speak to me. I will never forget what you did to Paloma. You think she didn't spiral because of you? You didn't add to that? And now you're trying to do it to Nicole, mind game. Do not speak to Nicole like that ever again.'
Don't get it twisted. First, mental illness doesn't work that way. Second, Terrance first suggested all that, Nicole planted it in Daniel's head, and he's the one who ran rabid with it, with her urging and blessing. They were peas from the same rotten pod and each fed off the other's vileness. I hope I never hear about either of these Toxic Twins again.

Won: Nothing
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/1 Have-not 1
3rd evicted - Day 30
Arrogant, aggressive, entitled, overbearing, self-serving and self-centered. She took over the Taylor hate train when Paloma left and ran it off the rails. She had no redeemable watchable qualities, least of all being entertaining in the slightest. I thought about doing Ozark ratings some week but I lost my Wendy Byrde with her exit. Verbatim quote from this 'superfan': 'They've done something that no other alliance has ever done in this game, in Big Brother history, they created a pact of people to make you think you're safe and say I got your back, and then this [betrayal] happens.'
|

Won: Nothing
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/1 Have-not 0
2nd evicted - Day 23
She was one of the Taylor haters under Paloma's direction, but she kept it up after Paloma's exit, even after Turner referred to it in his noms speech. That was one reason she went on the block as backdoor target and eventual exit, along with Michael and Kyle stressing her general smarts. She pushed for Pooch to go after he volunteered himself, and then she was blindsided when it was her own turn to meet Julie.
|

Won: Week 1 Backstage Boss/immunity
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 Have-not 1
1st evicted - Day 16
Volunteering to go on the block is always dicey, but especially as early as he did before any real trust is formed. And now he knows why. He's lucky Julie was COVID-distanced or she might have whacked him. He put all his eggs in a broken Oasis basket, and he irritated a lot of them with his antics and touchy-feely. When Joseph tried to help and warn him about that, he just got mad at Joseph. Like Paloma, he talked constantly and very, very fast. He seems like he's got a good heart so good luck to him from here.
|

Won: Week 1 Backstage Pass
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0 Have-not 0
Left the game - Day 8
She drove the game at the start, and she ignited and fueled the unjustified Taylor hate which continued to thrive even after she left. When she started to spiral, her conspiracy theories and delusions would have been comical if they weren't indicative of something more serious going on. It was probably best for her to go when she did, and for me - her nonstop superfast talking was stressing me out.
|

Won: Nothing
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0 Have-not 0
He was replaced pre-season by Joseph, but you can catch him on America's Got Talent and The Circle.
