Daily Feeds Recaps

Day 74 - Saturday - October 17, 2020

Nervousing about the final veto comp, Nicole kept up her nonstop studying, Cody continued his part-time studying, and Christmas was back to normal (for her). She was back to talking to us about herself in both first and third person about God's plan, and honey badgers, and making her everlasting victim noises. She said yesterday she was "emotionally beat up, kicked in the gut from that freaking betrayal by.." [she forgot his name for a sec] "..Enzo putting me on the block." Two seasons later, I still can't figure out why she acts like everyone owes her something. She really could have used a dose of Kevin's "the world doesn't revolve around you."

Feeds were down from approx 1.50pm to 3.30pm, and Cody won the final veto. When feeds came back he was rally-talking himself up, saying he was pumped, in final three, and shouting out Derrick and Kaycee. Nicole moped some, telling herself/us she wished she'd done better and later she told Cody she was happy he won but she wished she'd get to final three without having to depend on someone else take her. Christmas sat alone silently, playing with puzzle pieces upstairs. Enzo told Cody that Christmas will bug him a lot this week, but Cody said it might not be too bad as he figured she knew he wouldn't take her. The comp was about season events and they had to - get this - run in hamster wheels! They had to stop and start them, and backpedal, maybe to stop at the right number or answer? And they had hamster wheel comp shirts! Gotta love it. Nicole finished second. Cody continued to assure both Nicole and Enzo (separately of course) that he'd take them to final two if he has the option.

They ate dinner and did another season rehash, with selected bashing of their former roomies, they ate some old HOH cake they found in the back of the fridge, they played backgammon, and they begged for booze. Some eyebrows were done, including Cody's, and they begged for booze. They threw out ideas for something to do including hide and seek, charades, Password, but they didn't do any of those. Instead they settled on Whose Line Is It Anyway for a minute. Cody suggested a scene for Christmas and Nicole where Christmas discovered her boyfriend was kissing her best friend. Yep, he did. From there they had a group discussion about dating, and Christmas said she prefers meeting people through mutuals, as she doesn't like talking about things she's done. Yep, she did. Feeds went to extended starfishies around 9.40pm, and came back for a bit an hour or so later to Nicole alone in the bathroom, narrating her hair and skin care, with a hint of music faintly in the background. So it seems they got the yard again, and possibly the booze they begged for - things we are often not allowed to see this season.

Reminder, if you missed what came before, check my previous episode, always linked up top or from my season index, and get the feeds to catch anything you missed with Flashback!

Day 75 - Sunday - October 18, 2020

Being a Sunday, BB let them sleep late and they did, until 11am or so. The yard opened and they all screamed, and Christmas parked herself out there to talk at us. She seems to have accepted her fate and the fact that alter ego Comp Christmas didn't show up as advertised, and she launched into infomercials for her website and etc. Again. She then made a pitch to Cody, but it didn't really go anywhere.

Enzo and Christmas finally had their talk about him putting her on the block. She repeated that she felt hurt, betrayed, and blindsided, and on top of losing the luxury comp, it was a lot. He said not warning her was a cowardly way to do it, and he apologized. Christmas said she assumed Cody would evict her, as Nicole didn't seem uncomfortable or worried. She also said she wasn't going to campaign against Nicole, but added she'd made more moves than Nicole had. Enzo said Cody was in position to win the season and that he (Enzo) will probably finish third again next week. He said he wouldn't know whether to take Cody or Nicole if he should win the final HOH, and he said he doesn't know if Cody will cut Nicole or Christmas this week (lie: he knows Cody's evicting Christmas).

The rest of the afternoon and evening was the usual chit-chat, snacking, laying around, extended silences, goofing around, and season rehashing. Feeds went to extended starfishies around 6.45pm and they tend to stay down the rest of the night on Sundays, so that's probably it for today.

Reminder, if you missed what came before, check my previous episode, always linked up top or from my season index, and get the feeds to catch anything you missed with Flashback!

Day 76 - Monday - October 19, 2020

Enzo set up the cow floatie for some sun and fresh air. Unfortunately that didn't work out so well, as the sun and heat caused some unexpected cow tipping. Christmas and Cody agreed they only wanted to hang out with the final four plus Tyler and Memphis after the show, as they didn't want to relive everything, especially after the endless season rehashes this week. Cody said "if I get any feeling of confrontation or resentment, I might just like fucking go off." I didn't hear anything about them expecting a veto meeting today, but these four have all been in final four before so they should know veto meeting is live on the eviction show. Most of them are expecting that to happen tomorrow though. Nicole retold the "couple tries and a couple guys" incident to Cody and Christmas. That took place way back on August 21, and the retell was a Nicole-centric version of course.

It was another very long afternoon filled with a lot of long gaping silences and small talk. Cody and his sticky-out tongue gave a soliloquy on the hammock saying he wasn't entirely certain Nicole would take him to finals if that choice is hers, but he did poo-pooh her constantly saying she'd lose to him at the end. He said "you know you got Ian, Da'Vonne.. stroking the ego doesn't help." He also said he was confident Enzo would take him if the choice is his. He did not specify which one he'd take if he wins the final comp, but he's openly promised Nicole multiple times. As far as I know, he only sort of goes along with Enzo when he talks about the two of them at the end, without openly/specifically saying he'll take Enzo.

They ate dinner together, and chatted, and separated to various corners. Nicole told Christmas she's "scared of finale" no matter the outcome, and what various people will say. Christmas told her she'll "go to bat" for Nicole if she goes to jury, and Nicole said she'll do the same for Christmas. Enter starfishies, Nicole presumably went off to Diary, and feeds came back to Christmas pitching to Cody to keep her, again. It was noticeably awkward for him as he grunted uh-huhs and yeahs in response to her points.

Many, many starfishies later, feeds came back and one of the guys slipped something about the backyard and music, and was immediately shushed by the others, so that suspected cat is officially out of the bag now. That somehow led to Nicole laughing hysterically to the point of peeing herself, which somehow came about because Enzo had pooped his pants, or had poop on them, or something.

I couldn't remember if she'd done this every season or not but she clarified, when asked: "no I didn't pee my pants on season 18, just season 16, and now 22." But a tiny bit of easy research shows that to be incorrect: she did it on 18 too.

Reminder, if you missed what came before, check my previous episode, always linked up top or from my season index, and get the feeds to catch anything you missed with Flashback!

They did a good job of overcoming the COVID hurdles, getting the season off the ground and maintaining a COVID-free bubble throughout BB22. After that, though, they seemed to think their job was mostly done.

Won: $5,000; Safety Suite #2; Safety Suit #3 (Enzo's win)/1 week star babies; Basement Blocker power/unused
HOH 1 - Veto 2 - Noms 3/1/0 - HN 2

Xmas, while EXTREMELY flawed, is also in therapy which at least indicates a willingness to accept that she has flaws and wants to work on herself. She's not one of those 'I'm an asshole -- deal with it!' types. She also handled her punishment and the block well.
She was court-ordered into anger management therapy, but she may be attending by choice after she completed her mandatory sessions. -Dingo

Won: Nothing yet
HOH 3 - Veto 4 - Noms 0/0/0 - HN 2

Cody is not a terrible human being. I actually think he's kind of decent at his core. Yes, he gets petulant & childish and he doesn't handle adversity well at all, but he also hasn't really excessively shit-talked compared to some others in BB past and present.

Won: Safety Suite #3
HOH 2 - Veto 1 - Noms 0/0/0 - HN 2

Enzo is truly hilarious. To me he provides the only real entertainment on the feeds. Yes, as a game player he's frustrating as hell, but without him and his humor I would've turned off feeds long ago. Plus he introduced me to Moolawn who is my favorite remaining #BB22 HG.

Won: $10,000; 1 week SLOPPIES box
HOH 1 - Veto 1 - Noms 3/0/0 - HN 2

I like Nicole's love of animals. I think it shows her heart is in the right place where animals are concerned. I just wish it was more in the right place where humans are concerned haha. Also she made me listen to T-Swift's new album and now I'm addicted. Thanks Nicole!

Won: Replay power (from Dani)
HOH 3 - Veto 1 - Noms 1/0/0 - HN 1

7th juror, 12th evicted, Day 72

He fell flat on his face on premiere and he lost his temper in a big way early on when BB wouldn't turn off the Have-not lights. He wasn't big on pre-nom meetings as HOH, and he advertised a convoluted 'secret plan' one week, which turned out to be exactly what was expected: getting David out. He had it in for David for no good reason long before that, and he caused waves outside our BB world by allegedly using the n-word. He had a sore back for weeks and then a sore foot, so he hobbled around a lot. He was early to bed and early to rise, and had the reputation in there and out here of being an old man grandpa, even though he was exactly midway age-wise in the cast. He and Christmas bonded in later weeks and 'Memphmas' fanfic was a highlight of his final week.

Won: $5,000
HOH 2 - Veto 2 - Noms 1/0/1 - HN 1

6th juror, 11th evicted, Day 65

He again made multiple F2s, and landed in various versions of the intertwined big power alliances. He and Bayleigh worked out their issues and fell apart again a few times, and he tangled with Dani, a bad combo for him on top of David's early tell-all faux pas. He showed some entitlement about winning the season, but he told Bayleigh and Da'Vonne that he'd ask Christmas to veto-replace him for one of them so he could go home pre-jury, citing BLM as 'something greater' they were playing for, but his talk with Christmas was shamefully withheld from feeds so we'll never know how it truly unfolded. He bashed us feedsters, and he played hard if desperate at times, but his comp streak wasn't there and he wasn't in on the pre-season ground floor to get to the end.

Won: $5,000; Slop pass, home gym; Basement Replay power/used on Memphis
HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0/0 - HN 1

5th juror, 10th evicted, Day 58

She said she wanted to take Janelle's BB Queen crown, but instead she probably damaged her BB reputation. Not only did she not win comps like she used to, but she failed to bring the entertainment factor. To be fair, she didn't whine and complain as much as her prior seasons, but she came close. She either didn't pre-game well or she changed her mind once she saw who all was in there, and when she talked too much too soon about turning on her allies, it was her undoing. She had to nominate four people in her disastrous HOH week, and inexplicably decided not to push for Tyler to go once she had him on the block, even though her original plan for the week was to boot him out the backdoor.

Won: $10,000; Basement Disruptor/gave himself immunity Week 6
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 4/0/0 - HN 2

4th juror, 9th evicted, Day 58

He got a lot of flak for not being an 'all-star' but many of them technically weren't, and he deserved another shot more than most first boots. He went farther than many expected, but that was mostly due to power group shufflings rather than his own doing, other than the save he earned himself with the Disruptor power. But he blew that by fake crying and bad lying, and he caused a number of rants when he took $10k rather than veto in OTEV. He was an erratic player, often seeming brilliant and clueless in the same moment, but he eventually worked himself into a decent social position against many odds, not the least being Nicole's vote lie. But Memphis finally got his way and got him gone.

Won: Nothing
HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Noms 5/0/0 - HN 2

3rd juror, 8th evicted, Day 58

He went on the block at the start and never recovered. He wouldn't forgive his former idol Janelle from preferring Keesha stay that first week so he tattled on her, which helped to destroy all hope of the outliers banding together to take on the dominant power alliances. Then he became the pawn star and was nominated four more times, winning only one veto himself and once benefiting from Da'Vonne's win. He spent way too much time trying to analyze who was with whom, sometimes accurately but often way off, and he didn't do anything about it anyway. He was perky and snarky in Diary, but on feeds he was mostly miserable and mopey, rarely coming out of his Eeyore gloom.

Won: $5,000
HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Noms 2/0/0 - HN 2

2nd juror, 7th evicted, Day 51

Winning was one goal she didn't achieve, but she was highly successful with her other goal, to raise awareness of the extra challenges Black hamsters face in this game. Those goals conflicted when David tattled a confidence and again when she believed Nicole's lie blaming her vote on David. She made some messy game choices, but she made eloquent, impassioned block speeches, she had compelling in-depth convos, particularly with Kaysar, and she pointed out the frustrating facts when her point was repeatedly proven. She won a huge but teeny tiny veto, and she once again provided endless reaction memes and gifs. She was the heart and soul, and most of the entertainment, of this season.

Won: Safety Suit #2 (Christmas's win)/1 week space skits
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/1/0 - HN 2

1st juror, 6th evicted, Day 44

His plan to lay low at first was foiled by the ones who started gaming long before move-in, and his F2 with Nicole was only insurance on her part since she was tighter with the power group. Learning that broke him and it was downhill from there. He showed some entitlement about deserving to win but talked about his struggles learning to lose, which proved him vulnerable and human. He did a superb job with his skits, and talked openly about being on the spectrum, and it was so good to see him again. As before, I wish him well in all he does.

Won: 500 tricycle laps
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 1

5th evicted, Day 37

She and Tyler had their ups and downs, repairing their relationship from last time and breaking it up again, and that affected the game in various ways. Her friendship with Janelle was fun to watch, and her friendship with Da'Vonne was golden, the type that will likely last long after this season's forgotten. She gave yoga classes, and she rode 500 backyard laps on a tricycle as a veto repercussion, 40 with only one pedal, and BB didn't even put it on the show. Her great attitude riding those laps, mostly to spite her haters, was a joy to behold.

Won: Safety Suite #1
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 2/0 - HN 1

4th evicted, Day 30

His BB strategy plans have always held promise but implementing them, not so much. But no matter: he was and is a class act, and he always brings the kind of much-needed humanity our feeds are usually lacking in a big way. It's too bad things didn't work out differently this time but it was great to see him on our feeds again, both for himself and for his fun friendship with Janelle.

Won: Safety Suit #1 (Kaysar's win)/1 week star
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 1

3rd evicted, Day 23

It was great to see her on feeds again, especially her easy friendship with Kaysar. She was BB6 Janelle again but without the in-your-face name-calling that would have made things more fun for us, but props to her for not going there. It's astounding how hard she was targeted just for showing up, proof that Janellousy is still real.

Won: Nothing
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 1

2nd evicted, Day 16

Imagine going on BB and not wanting to work with Janelle and Kaysar. Having them to go bat for you, hard, and then throwing it back in their faces. It's mind-boggling. She was in way over her head this season, made one bad decision after another, and she repeatedly promised us a house meeting that she never delivered.

Won: Nothing
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 0

1st evicted, Day 9

She was feisty her first time around but like all of them, she's older and more mature now, and her birthday happened before they moved in, so we didn't get any new memorable Keesha scenes. But it was good to see her again and she got a nice check for two weeks isolation and one week of summer camp.

The CBS app (by CBS Interactive) plays BB air shows and other CBS shows, as well as feeds, or you can use your browser to watch feeds on mobile devices. The same All Access link used to subscribe will lead to the feeds viewing page if you're already signed up.

BB22 finalist prizes are $500k for the winner and $50k for 2nd place. 3rd place gets $10k bonus, 4th place gets $7.5k, 5th place gets $5k. All got $40k for showing up, plus $1k stipend per week.

The habitat has 94 HD cameras (no change) and 113 microphones (no change).

The recorded in-house announcements are the voice of producer Don Wollman. He and Julie Chen are the only staffers who have been there since Big Brother 1.
