Daily Feeds Recaps

Day 27 - Monday 7/15/19

Nick ran his renom speech for several of them, which was to tell Nicole that on a personal level, he was glad they made up but on a housekeeping level, "I don't get mad, I get even. Take a seat." Later he held up cereal dregs he'd found in a box and demanded to know who did that, as if to prove his point. Christie revved up the campaign to keep Nicole with a long talk to Analyse and Holly, along with her patented "but you guys decide what you want to do." Jackson apologized to Kat for blowing up at her last night, and again alluded to having been warned/threatened about getting a penalty nom if he keeps breaking the rules -cut to fishies. Jack had a talk to us but was interrupted by Sam. Jack also hid some of Sam's clothes, and Christie said repeatedly she didn't like pranks.

Christie and Tommy planted seeds with Holly to start saying Cliff said he was coming after them, and that he has (Ovi's) power, furthering the plot to keep Nicole to piss off and blindside Nick and Bella. Christie also said she's got a crush on Kat, who laid out in the sun to tan the veto onto her. Bella and Analyse complained about a mysterious rash, as Holly did yesterday.

Kat was called to Diary and everyone figured it was time for the meeting, but Christie started freaking out that she'd be the renom and begged Diary and the universe to let her talk to Kat first. Lo and behold, Kat came out, and Christie cried and freaked out to her, Analyse, Jessica, Holly, Jackson that Nick and Bella were on to her, repeating "I know I'm going up!" because Nick made a comment when Holly cut a heart out of a cereal box, or something. Kat did reconsider for a moment, talking with Nicole and again with Nick, who assured her he still wanted to renom Nicole as planned. Tommy met with Bella and with Jack and Nick, telling them "Christie had an intuition." Eventually Christie met with Nick who repeatedly said he'd never ever put her up. She said she never thought he would, "not in a million years" but she ranted on and on and on anyway, and he had to grab her to say "stop! Christie stop!" But she literally did not stop.

They finally went to their veto meeting at 1.18pm and when they returned, Kat had finally taken off the veto and hung it on Jessica, and Nick had replaced her with Nicole, as actually planned. Retells of Tropical Storm Christie's pre-meeting shenanigans ensued all over town. Christie told Nick and Bella she won the Whack power, but lied about what it is. She said she won diamond veto (not the power to secretly activate it for the veto winner, as her card read), and she said she can stand up at veto meeting to name a renom, and that she wasn't sure but thought it's good til Final Six. This is "using production as strategy" which is definitely against the rules as it's always been. They've used that announcement recording at least once this year, but they didn't today. She also told them only Tommy knows she won it (Jack does too), and that she believed Ovi won the first power, and Jack the second. Interestingly, Bella left at about that point (but she returned later to tell Christie a personal trauma story). Christie and Nick also exchanged notes about Sam knowing about the Eight.

Jack told Kemi not to put her shaker bottle in the fridge or drinks in the freezer because "what if everybody did that?" It was about space considerations and "perspective" according to him. Analyse asked Tommy if he thought Christie gets jealous of her and Jack, and Tommy gave her a long spiel about being loyal to the Six no matter what. Jack joined them and then Christie, who again said she won the power and that she'd told Nick and Bella. She described it a bit more accurately this time: "the person who won the veto and myself, we get to decide" the renom, and she said she didn't know how long it lasted but would ask. She also told them Nick and Bella knew Ovi won the first power, and then she reported even more accurately to Nick and Bella, saying the veto winner would name the renom. She also re-explained to Holly and Analyse. Tommy expressed concern about Jackson's teeth chipping more from stress-grinding, and it almost sounded like they wanted to have an intervention because he drinks so much coffee.

Kat and Holly had a long check-in and info exchange, like they do, talking about Christie's random meltdown and all the revelations about the various powers and what they do. Holly tried to explain Ovi's but she didn't understand it and her vague description was comical because it was so very vague. Kat then said she jokes about Brett but really she hoped she hadn't ruined things with her boyfriend Marty. Holly said to make sure the feeds know nothing happened (with Jackson) and "if we want to shut something down, we can." Oops! They really don't understand how feeds or this fanbase operates. Marty surfaced out here early on, disappointed. Maybe they'll work it out or maybe they won't, but that'll be between them.

Christie told Nicole about her paranoia from earlier and said she still thought Nick was going to put her up until she called him out and vaguely threatened about a power to him. Then chaos revved up again as talks about powers erupted again. Sam, Nick, Bella compared notes and realized they'd all been busted for snitching. Then Sam took his story to Christie, Jack, Tommy and said Kemi told him Jessica had a power to take herself off the block after veto was used. (It turned out Kemi told him she thought Jess had a power, and he retold it as Kemi knew she did.) Christie ranted that Kemi should get ejected as lying about powers wasn't allowed (despite the fact that she explained hers wrongly earlier, whether by mistake or design), and Tommy said Kemi was already kicked out. Christie brought up her PMS several more times, and said she was confused about everything, and couldn't wait for the day to be over. So say we all.

But Christie wasn't finished: she had a long talk with Kemi, talking about her paranoia and her PMS, and she said she'd be fine if Kemi won the Comeback, and she didn't know David and thought he was unpredictable. Kemi told her about Jack lecturing her about her shaker bottle and Christie said Jack had already told her about that. Kemi also said Bella had told her long ago "when they were tight" that there was a couples alliances of six: Jack, Jackson, Holly, Analyse, Bella, Nick. Christie didn't visibly react, and said she hadn't heard that. (It could come up later though.) Kemi retold with Nicole, and Tommy put in some personal and gametalk time with Jessica.

In other news, the ants were found swarming around the laundry area, as well as the backyard sitting area. Also, Christie has PMS, in case you hadn't heard.

Day 28 - Tuesday 7/16/19

Overnight, Christie snuck Kemi's camp swimsuit out of her things and Kat tried it on, to the delight of Christie and Analyse. There have been some rumblings about Kemi not moving all her things to the Camp Comeback room which may have led to this, I don't know. Considering all the rashes going around in there, this raised some eyebrows out here. Fortunately I don't think Kat or Kemi have mentioned having a rash problem, but still. Christie told Kemi about it later, adding to her annoyance about Kat and her situation in general. She told Nicole it wasn't that she didn't want to flip out, but she didn't want to "flip out on camera and have that be a thing."

David made a finger-heart at a morning Southwest plane, like he does. Jackson joined him and they had a cordial convo, with Jackson saying Camp Comeback had been good for David, as he'd probably have been booted right back out had he re-entered the game right away, and David said he'd "been in limbo since fuckin May." Cliff talked to us and expressed doubts about his safety this week, acknowledging he didn't know what all was going on, and he said it was hard being on his own in there. Christie announced she was literally not going to talk all day but of course that didn't last, and among other yacking, she told Jackson about her power. Tommy pitched a plan to win HOH and put up Nick/Bella with Sam as backdoor target, but he'd tell Nick/Bella they'd lost trust but he still wanted to work with them. Then he suggested asking them about keeping Nicole this week, which would ruin our blindside fun.

Holly told Analyse her rash was getting better again, after getting worse from "friction" and "rubbing" in the shower, and she said she'd told Jackson he'd have to wait for more of that until it was all better. Jack told Tommy and Christie that Bella's ideas of who Tommy would date proved she didn't listen to people, and he said "she's not a quarter of the gamer" they'd thought she was. They agreed that Tommy's earlier suggestion of putting Nick and Bella on the block was a good plan. Cliff talked at length about his work and some travel stories, at Ovi's request. Jackson said he's stashed food around for rationing purposes (even though he eats most of it, and drinks from the cartons, etc.) Christie griped about Nicole and Kemi talking to each other while sitting on either side of her earlier. Cliff and Nicole had a block party chat, each saying they'd own whatever they did in there when they got out. Cliff said if he's known as "the doofus who couldn't keep his mouth shut" that'd be okay.

Later David and Ovi talked at length about rumors they've heard and assumptions they've made. David said Jack had made a comment about David going into the pool with his socks on, while David was underwater and couldn't hear it. David was clearly annoyed by that and said Jack goes into the pool drenched in sweat, and David cleans up the kitchen all the time and picks up Jack's strewn things, and Jack shouldn't have said that to everyone, especially out of David's hearing. That led to David and Ovi having a major gripe session comparing slights they'd heard directly and indirectly from others, and that in turn led to a hilarious tour of their room (4.35pm). They showed off their dirty bedding, crappy decor, broken beds, the scattered tarantulas, and their can of Febreze to keep it all tolerable. Then they wondered if their Comeback comp would be about their room details. Holly and Kat added another pinkyswear to the tally, with Holly asking Kat not to repeat that her alliance was "blowing up." Holly also mentioned that Jackson had followed her on Instagram but his girlfriend at the time made him unfollow her (Holly and Jackson discussing that was reported here on July 7.) Christie said her dirty clothes bag had been dumped out, and she suspected Kemi.

Jack and Jackson, with Tommy present, wondered if David has been in prison before, then said his teeth were too good. Jackson dropped a hint about cameras/feeds, and they pulled it back, with Jackson saying "I'm not offended by it." (7.09pm)

Jackson had taken a LOT of meat and chicken out of the freezer early in the day and laid it on the table to defrost. It sat there all day, nine hours plus, when he finally wrapped it up and put it in the fridge. He griped to Jack that he didn't want to cook it up and said "Jessica better not cook all the protein." Christie and Jessica made tacos for everyone, with Christie on the meat, and everyone enjoyed Taco Tuesday, except Ovi who was in camp room talking to family, friends, and viewers. The others thought he was in Diary and finally realized he was missing, David fetched him, and he got some food.

After taco dinner, Jackson continued eating other things, like he does. Jack griped in the backyard about Kemi never cleaning up, as she was helping with cleanup in the kitchen. Sam showed up in a Santa hoodie, and told Analyse that Kemi had told him she'd put up the Jacks if she stayed and won HOH. (He'd previously retold that to Bella and Nick.) Nick said he wanted to spit on her face, and said she's "a piece of shit" multiple times. Nicole told Kemi she'd heard that, but wasn't sure if it was about Kemi. Kemi said if someone spit on her, she'd break their jaw. The two of them continued chatting quietly, calmly in their room, and the others kept spinning their loops in the backyard and elsewhere.

I shut them off early.

Day 29 - Wednesday 7/17/19

They found luggage for the three Camp Comebackers in the pantry, which made things "get real" for them, with actual eviction(s) finally looming. Kemi told Jessica about Nick's spitting comment last night, and she said she wasn't sure it was about her or that Nicole had told her. She then listed off things Jack had said to her (avocado toast comment, the water bottle, etc) and she said if he does anything further, "they're gonna have some fuckin content for the next episode" and she didn't want to "be portrayed as a bitch" but "there's a very fine line and I don't give a fuck about blurring it." She also said the crush she's mentioned is on a staff member.

Tommy reported to Sam, Nick, Bella that Kemi had greeted him this morning by cheerfully saying she was feeling aggressive today, which wound up Nick in particular. Kemi later asked Sam for "an adult perspective" about Nick and Jack and their unreasonable hatred toward her, which Sam later reported to Christie. (In my opinion, Tommy was using the tried and true BB vilification tactic here, and it was effective. He and Christie are very good at planting seeds of all kinds, from providing compassionate ears to this kind of thing.) Regardless, we have a powder keg in there that may or may not blow sky high today.

In other news, Nick was allegedly fired from his job as a result of tattling fans, or maybe his employer did their own due diligence.. and this was before the spitting comment. Update: his employer per LinkedIn said he didn't work there, so who knows, but people need to mind their own beeswax and stop contacting employers and others in their real lives! Also, Kat mentioned she was starting birth control pills, for her skin, and Jackson asked "you're starting on it?!"

Jackson told Holly and Analyse the plan to keep Nicole, and that they'd keep Bella and Nick in the dark. He said he felt "like a kid at Christmas" and that he'd give Nicole a big hug just to rub it in to Nick and Bella, and he said he wanted a 6-4 vote. Analyse told Tommy all that, and that Kat had asked if they were still going to vote out Nicole, and Jackson had said yes. Tommy and Analyse agreed they should let Kat know ahead of time but they weren't sure when since they thought she might spill. Complicating things, Tommy said he thought eviction was tonight. A bit later Nick told Cliff he thought he'd be safe, but added he'd be annoyed if it was 6-4. Tommy then asked Jack if they should include Kat on the blindside vote plan. Jack said it was risky and they didn't need her vote. Christie joined, and Tommy said if they don't include someone else, it would expose their alliance.

Nick mentioned a couple times that he needed to be careful what he says, that he works with kids and needs to keep his job. I don't know if Diary gave him a heads-up or not. He later told Nicole he was glad they'd hashed out their issues and again apologized to her, and said he "respects her as a person". Ovi told his fellow campers that he was told eviction is tomorrow and they didn't have to pack til then if they didn't want to, but that news didn't make it downstairs where several of them were still wondering if they were about to have a surprise eviction (despite the fact they hadn't had their two usual pre-live show lockdowns). Sam, Christie, Jessica, Analyse decided to take advantage of that and they hollered their monitor had come on (it hadn't), and most of the others ran to the living room only to realize they'd been punked (3.42pm). David and Analyse had a long get-to-know-you chat.

Kemi asked Jackson for a chat, and he said in a minute when he's done with the dishes. Then he gave her a minute, telling her "we're good" and he walked away. Jack and Christie debated whether to bring in Kat on the plan to evict Cliff and blindside Nick and Bella. She said Jackson was being pissy about it, and they talked about having a vote later to decide. Christie said an extra vote wouldn't expose their alliance, and "seven's better than six, it's basic math, and I'm not here to teach basic math." Jack said "you don't get to talk to me like that" and she said "I can talk to you however I want!" They patched it up quickly and hugged. Later Jack said she'd yelled at him. He and Jackson plus Holly then agreed to tell Kat about it "60 seconds before" they vote, as that would keep Jessica in the dark about everything.

Kat and David laid around in Camp Comeback and chatted/flirted, like they do. He went in for a kiss but she shut him down. Sam came in shortly after to announce dinner and make jokes about having caught them. All 16 sat down to family dinner once again, the last for three of them (maybe the last of the season, depending how things unfold tomorrow), and they all shared their favorite memories to date. Jack was crying in his bed - I don't know why and he told Christie he couldn't tell her why when she asked. Analyse asked both Christie and Tommy what to do and they gave her the obvious advice to offer an ear if he wanted one. Nicole parked herself in the archery room with most of the Six, which was satisfyingly awkward.

Ovi, David, Kemi had a long friendly kitchen convo, with Cliff wandering by carrying Orwell, and later Nicole and Ovi had an emotional hug convo. Several of them put in some one-on-one time with various Comebackers, but the key convo was Jackson telling David in the pantry if he comes back "I think you'll see who the target is and it isn't gonna be you." He added if he (Jackson) wins HOH, David won't be his target, and that he was at the bottom of the hit list. He implied he'd have David's back if he comes back and hoped for same in return, but they didn't formalize that. Then Jackson opened a carton of soy milk from the fridge, took a swig, and put it back. Jackson later told Kat in the pantry she needed to trust him, and he'd let her know in 24 to 48 hours what and why. He added he couldn't say anything sooner because "your pokerface is dogshit." And still later, Jackson reported both convos to Christie, Holly, Analyse (and maybe Jack in his bed?) and he added that he'd told David the two of them would continue to throw each other dirty looks for appearances so Nick, Bella, Sam wouldn't catch on.

We've never had a triple eviction in BB USA and tomorrow will effectively be that, as we'll be down three hamsters in one swoop. As of tonight, the plan to keep Nicole and evict Cliff is still a go, and Nick and Bella will be blindsided by that, along with Cliff and Nicole, if nobody spills before they vote. That's a tall order for this chatterbox group but we'll see how it unfolds.

Normally I don't much care how they edit for the show, as they have a job to do and viewers to retain, and we feedsters know the real story anyway. I went on a rampage all through BB6 to document the distasteful facts that weren't being aired, but other than minor instances since, I've gotten over it as I realized there's no point. However this season they clearly seem to be protecting some of them, the Jacks in particular, while going out of their way to portray others inaccurately, such as Kemi. And they don't have to: the feeds are on fire nearly every day and there's plenty of material for them to work with. But even aside from the air show edits, there have been several instances they've blocked from feeds, along with the retells. I don't get it, and I don't like it, but as the hamsters love to say, 'it is what it is'.

Update Wednesday's show finally showed some of what's really going on for what it is, with the whole anti-Nicole angry HOH mob, and saying 'Gr9ful became H8ful' and exposing Bella's dirty game. But other than a hint of Jack being an ass, they still haven't shown either of the Jacks accurately, nor have they alluded to the racist undercurrents and the overt shunning and continual slander of Kemi in particular, or David and Ovi. So no upgrade to neutral, although they do appear to be making baby steps in the right direction. Let's hope they keep that up.

Won: Nothing yet
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0 - HN 0

I got nothing. She's there, she thinks she's involved, but she's one of the last to learn anything and seemingly has no idea she's just a number and a vote for her group. In the past, that's been good for more than a few second place finishers. She has had a few #Deathrace2019 entries, so I guess that's something.

Won: Whacktivity 3 Panic
HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0 - HN 0

She and Bella each seem to be playing BB like they're throwing spaghetti at a wall to see if it sticks. Many of her actions make no sense whatsoever, especially her massive hissyfit before the veto meeting, and she continually contradicts herself and her stated plans. And for no reason! She's in one of the best spots of them all, between her close ties to Tommy and to Jack, and her ability to talk people to death into changing their mind. But she's exhausting and annoying, and Jack's an arrogant ass, so Tommy currently has the best position of that trio.

Won: Nothing yet
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 2/0 - HN 0

As of now (Monday) he's toast, but he could win the Comeback spot depending what it is, and things could change between now and Thursday anyway. He's blown his game a dozen ways but he's still one of us and while it was disheartening that he got caught talking to us, it was nice to have someone fill us in with what they're thinking (and not making it into a stupid Show).

Won: First 2 weeks in sequester; Revival to Camp Comeback Day 15
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0 - HN 0

He seems to be a keeper, although we still haven't actually seen him in and playing the game. But he seems like he'd have the best chances to do well of his fellow Comebackers if he should be the one to come back, and his flirtmance with Kat is fun and funny so I hope we get more of that.

Won: Nothing yet
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0 - HN 0

See Analyse, with the addition that her secret partnership with Kat is surprisingly good. They bash each other all over town to others, then exchange info and stay relatively up to date on everything going on. Kat's more BB savvy than Holly, but every scrap of info can be useful.

Won: Nothing yet
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0 - HN 0

See Christie, except for the part about being in a good position. She and Nick remain targets of the Six Plus Sam for next week, but that will likely change several dozen times before then.

Won: Whacktivity 2 Chaos
HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0 - HN 0

His arrogance has taken a back seat since his HOH week, but he made up for it by condescendingly lecturing Kemi about her shaker bottle in the fridge, and his gleeful multiple retells about it. Sit down.

Won: Camp Director + 1st eviction immunity
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0 - HN 0

His arrogance resurfaced when he blew up at Kat and while we didn't see that, the retells made it clear he was definitely loud and heated. He's somewhat aware of how he's being perceived and has shown some behavior improvements, but he's also hinted he's been threatened with a penalty nom if he doesn't shape up. It's still early so I haven't given up hope that he and Jack might end up like Paulie, with their golden boy edits turning to accurate and thus unflattering edits. (Paulie was ultimately being erased from an entire episode, even! I don't care that he was rewarded with spots on other shows, as I don't have to watch them.)

Won: Nothing yet
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 2/0 - HN 0

She's mostly sweet and likable, although she does have a tendency to talk for hours about nothing. But that's a small price to pay compared to some of the things the others talk about nonstop. She's the literal summer camper this year, which is ironic with the theme, but that theme makes the analogy more acceptable than usual, and even comical.

Won: Nothing yet
HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Noms 1/0 - HN 0

She's still supplying all the entertainment, and she does a great job of it. Between wearing the veto for two days, sleeping with it, tanning it onto her, and her random comments and perky personality, she's a solid keeper. Plus she won that veto by a lot, and did what she wanted with it despite much pressure from various directions. I'd like to see her get past her hatred for Kemi as the two of them could be hilarious together.

Won: Revival to Camp Comeback Day 23
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0 - HN 0

She remains fun and likable, and she has some great lines and impersonations. She's remained mostly isolated with Nicole which normally would seem like bad game, but it doesn't much matter to everyone else what either of them do, as they're both treated as non-hamsters. That's not right and it's not easy to watch, but once again 'it is what it is.'

Won: Nothing yet
HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0 - HN 0

I had such high hopes for him pre-season but those hopes have been dashed. He's a hothead, he's impulsive, often inappropriate, and he believes the last thing he was told. There's a lot of that going around but it stands out even more when it's the HOH. He still has no idea he and Bella were cut from the Eight and will probably remain so next week depending who's in power, and both of them are sure to react strongly if/when they're openly targeted.

Won: Nothing yet
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/1 - HN 0

See Kemi. She seems to be true to what she says, that she can't and won't be cutthroat to further herself in the game, yet she's sent messages to her family several times that she's definitely there to win. It doesn't seem like she's got that in her though, and she also seems to be in way over her head. But as of now (Monday), she'll be staying despite campaigning poorly and not at all, so that's good as she's a very likable person and not a 'type'.

Won: Whacktivity 1 Nightmare; Revival to Camp Comeback Day 15
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/1 - HN 0

He really seems to have no grasp of this game, despite being a longtime viewer and fan applicant. Like Jessica, he's a bonafide summer camper and he has the outfit for it as well. He has and will continue to do great things in life, but so far he's not doing them here.

Won: Fiji trip
HOH 0 - Veto 2 - Noms 0/0 - HN 0

SUPER LOUD DIARY SHOUTING aside, he's one of the more easy-going and likable of them, and he always has a story to tell which is often a nice break from the constant plotting and scheming. He's also fairly well plugged in to what's going on, and though he's aware of being at the bottom of various alliances, he also knows there are plenty of targets ahead of him. In the meantime, he's just hanging out and having fun, and keeping his eyes and ears open.

Won: Nothing yet
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0 - HN 0

He's probably playing the best game as of now, being tight with Christie of course, and Jack, and he's actively cozying up to others including Analyse and Nick, for future needs. He's the designated witness to big convos (to prevent inaccurate retells), giving him a first class seat to those without having to eavesdrop or rely on retells. He's present at virtually all game convos and he takes it upon himself to retell those, thus building confidence. But most importantly, he's one of the first to comfort whoever's hurting, and that's the kind of thing that builds relationships that pay off later in the form of votes. If he's sometimes annoying or tiresome with his antics, so be it: they don't seem to mind and they're the ones who vote.

Lines and Links of the Day

Lines

Kat: Bitches get stitches, my friend - I don't know what that has to do with the situation but I've just always wanted to say that

Nicole: I'm literally, literally on a raft, like I always felt like I was on a raft but now I'm literally on one

Tommy to Nick/Jack: It's that time of the month, and [Christie] had an intuition

Sam to Nick/Bella: I don't want to be known as someone who runs their mouth, because that's exactly what I am, I run my mouth to you guys

Big Brother 21 SEASON FAQ
Day 1 Move-in was June 19
Day 7 CBS premiere was June 25
Day 8 Feeds began June 26
Day 99 Finale is September 25

Feeds are streamed by CBS, and Flashback is accessible via All Access subscription. Call 888-274-5343 for account help, including cancellation.

*Effective July 10* Air shows on CBS (Global in Canada) are Sundays 8pm, Wednesdays 9pm, eviction Thursdays 9pm.

Big Brother After Dark on Pop TV will be every night midnight to 3am (an hour later on Wednesdays and Thursdays). The aired blocks are live (or recorded earlier the same night, depending on your cable provider).

The CBS app (by CBS Interactive) plays BB air shows and other CBS shows, as well as feeds, or you can use your browser to watch feeds on mobile devices. The same All Access link used to subscribe will lead to the feeds viewing page if you're already signed up.

BB21 finalist prizes are the same: $500k for the winner and (probably still) $50k for 2nd place. Stipend for the others to be confirmed if/when they mention it on feeds.

The habitat has 94 HD cameras (no change) and 113 microphones (no change).

The recorded in-house announcements are the voice of producer Don Wollman. He and Julie Chen are the only staffers who have been there since Big Brother 1.
