Day 59 - Friday, August 12

Safety dance

Nicole got "Super Safety" care package #3 consisting of one-week immunity and "safety suit" plus hair ties & clips, and bug repellant(?).. she seemed more excited about the suit than the immunity, and having been voted for it of course.. she was grateful and thanked "America" as Natalie and James did before her

Many feedsters wondered how she won but see James's rating below for some math and remember CBS-onlies can out-vote feedsters without even trying.. also an awful lot of people voted prematurely for Bridgette for this one, and again, BB isn't subject to game show laws: The Powers That Be can do whatever they want.. I'm not saying they do since I have no idea about that, but they can

Nicole's suit was pretty cute on her: an orange catsuit with traffic cone hat, yellow cape and apron, high-heeled work boots, plus elbow and knee pads and reflector straps that light up.. this is Nicole's third BB costume, tying her with Frank for most

In other news, Paulie spelled out a message with panty liners on the bathroom door.. James has done similar before but not like this.. it looked like T NEITHER ARE PAR to me but later he said he'd been going for NEITHER ARE PADS before BB stopped him, in some kind of tampons versus pads commentary.. that's Paulie for you

The plan for Victor to put up Paulie and Corey seemed to still be in place but it's hard to be certain since he was also still playing along with the boys about putting up girls.. we'll know soon enough

He did it!

Victor nominated Paulie and Corey, and the feeds came back to awkward silence, and then Paulie asked Victor who told him that Paulie wanted to backdoor him way back when.. Victor told both of them to fight for the veto, with the reminder that he wasn't given that chance when they did indeed backdoor him, and that he didn't harangue Paulie about his nomination afterward

Paulie asked why wasn't Nicole put up if The Reason was alliance double-dipping, even though she was right there in her bright orange and yellow SAFETY suit, and Paul said he didn't want to get "tossed into this" - still wearing his pelican FLOATie.. Paulie continued to rant, Corey asked why him?.. the two nominees shared a manly hug in the bathroom, and said they don't want to campaign against the other, with a single tear dripping down Paulie's face and quivering lower lip.. later he said he "bawled" in Diary

Victor and Paul congratulated each other as former sitting ducks now on top and they quacked, and Paul referred to "sore losers".. Corey told Victor no hard feelings and he wasn't mad, and Victor gave us a thumbs up that he'd gotten the job done

Paulie carried on his filibuster rounds with various of them, including telling Paul he threw the HOH comp "just to see if something like this would actually happen" (!!), plus a long session with Natalie rehashing their history and Paulie's derogatory personal comments about her - he pretty much said everyone had been laughing about her boobies (oh really?).. Nicole fibbed to Victor about various alliances and then panicked a bit to Corey because truths were coming out all over town.. the truth also came out about the five-guy Executives alliance

Rehashes carried on, and on, and feedsters went through all the popcorn.. now and then Nicole would flash her hazard lights in a convo, adding yet another layer of absurd comedy to everything.. Michelle apologized to Corey for smirking at noms, saying it was because Paulie had been so arrogant before.. Paulie continued his shmoozing rounds, including a pitch to Corey about how they'll win veto and then get Michelle evicted.. Paulie then went to Michelle and complimented her and her game for ages.. Paul told Natalie he was the hinky vote for Victor way back when, and they laughed about how much that stirred up

Paul did his usually weekly fry-up for the Have-nots feast, even though James was the only one left.. they enjoyed their fries and whatever else he made, and then Corey launched into yet another horror story

Michelle asked if anyone had ever started a fire - random - and Corey said "I almost started a forest fire once, and it was bad".. this one involved illegal fireworks in a dry area.. he and his buddies started a fire that took them a half hour to put out - Flashback 8/13 12.37am.. first the goat and the countless "I was so drunk" stories, his crackpot comments about feminism (see Lines of the Day below), and now this?

Day 58 - Thursday, August 11

Let's review

If you missed the last couple days of feeds, you missed a very lot, a trainwreck of epic proportions, and it's doubtful tonight's packed and chaotic double-dump show will address much of it, if any.. hit the previous Hamsterwatch episode and/or feeds updates and get caught up.. Zakiyah's probably still going on the first one, and after that it's anyone's guess

If you're in an area with a football delay, you can find several links to watch tonight's show online to your left under "East Coast Streams" - never know which will or won't work til the time comes, but none of them require downloads or login.. welcome to westie problems for every show

Double whammy

The show recap showed the anti-Paulie movement building with accurate credit to Bridgette and Michelle, and Julie promised more on Sunday's show that should include Natalie's major part on Wednesday.. Michelle gave her anti-Paulie nominee speech as promised, James selected Corey and Paul as his care package non-voters, and Zakiyah was evicted 3-2, with Paulie and Nicole voting to keep her

Zakiyah didn't have the Round Trip so they went right to the next HOH comp, a QA about numerical statistics for the season.. Corey won that on the second question, and Nicole told all the CBS viewers she had to pee

In the quick-take hubbub, Corey seemed confused who to put up and his boys weren't helping him much, but he settled on Bridgette and Michelle.. James, Nicole, Paul joined them for the veto comp, which was the run/hurdle/ball pit race in which they had to be first to find four objects (no clown shoes required).. Corey won that too and didn't use it.. Michelle gave a second nominee speech scorcher, calling out Nicole along with Paulie on this round, and Bridgette went out 5-1, with Natalie the only vote to keep her

Bridgette didn't have the Round Trip either, and Julie announced a special show for Friday, August 19 but she didn't give any hints what it would be about

Michelle went into her sobbing routine with Bridgette's eviction - Julie told her to take a breath, and Paul yelled at her on air and afterward about it.. she rebounded quickly though, having a lengthy rehash/face-off with Nicole and then telling Paulie that Zakiyah said she just cuddled up with him for strategy.. that prompted Paulie to reply "Really, because we boned last night" and he went on to name the various places they'd done so around the habitat.. prior to that, he'd said "My brother and his boys are gonna literally tear that girl apart" about Michelle - ever the class act, that one

Nicole explained to Paulie that the double eviction show had been Nicole, Corey, Paulie against everyone.. not long after that, they went off for their second HOH comp, which Victor won, again.. he told the guys that he'd put up two girls and make it easy, but Paul went to work on him about how it'd be just as easy and better for both of them to get Paulie (or Corey) gone, and that was the plan as of 3am or so (with Paulie still believing it'll be two girls)

Corey got his basket that included a Christmas hat and letter from his folks saying they'd cleaned up his "frat house" (goat torture chamber), and Victor got his room back plus goodies and a letter from his sister.. the various factions split up and regrouped through the night, with much bitching about whoever wasn't present

Celebrity Big Brother

Another celeb series kicked off July 28! Outside UK, use Hide My Ass to watch live or archive shows and clips.. there are loads of other VPNs out there but I use and recommend HMA because it's safe, secure, and easy to use (just select a UK server), available for multiple platforms, plus they have great customer service for questions or problems

You can watch live at Channel 5's online live stream link.. shows are usually daily, plus Bit on the Side talk show and an hour live from the house, but check the air show schedule - remember UK time is 8 hours ahead of Pacific and 5 hours ahead of Eastern.. the official site has archive air shows and talk shows, highlights, previews, and info

As always, most of the cast is controversial or has featured in highly publicized scandals - Google is your friend.. in order of intro/entry:

Ratings - Double Dump edition

Ratings are based on entertainment value
VTE = Voted to evict

Live double eviction shows are so packed and frantic, they have to be a logistics nightmare even after all these years. But they pulled it off again, with just one stutter by Julie and one premature peek at the veto comp, including beefcakes. I'd give them ups for all that but omitting Paulie's asshat behavior once again is unforgivable. Sure, it may have happened too late to edit it into a bite-size TV package, but they've done it before and this isn't the first time he's been horrible. Here's hoping they expose him on Sunday.

Won: $2,500
TEAM FREAKAZOID

#1 No vote (nullified by James)
#2 Head of Household
#2 Won veto/didn't use
#2 No vote (HOH)

NOMINATED
Mostly unwatchable, except for his occasional blank stares and doofus comments, which are chock full of unintentional comedy.

Won: Immunity 1st 2 evictions; nullify 2 votes
TEAM UNICORN

#1 VTE Zakiyah
#2 VTE Bridgette

Mostly unwatchable, especially when he's talking to AMERICA like he's got another AFP $25k in the bank. Newsflash Jamesy: of 320 million people in this country, only 6 million or so watch the CBS shows, give or take, and a tiny percentage of those watch the feeds. Please stop talking like a presidential candidate.

Won: 8 days pixel suit; Outback dinner
TEAM CATEGORY 4

#1 No vote (nominee)
#2 No vote (nominee)

Sometimes unwatchable, sometimes hilarious, and sometimes shockingly WTF. She's been on a roll recently though, and nobody's ever landed two Nominee Speech Scorchers on the tally on the same night before.

Won: Immunity 1st 2 evictions; Never-Not Pass
TEAM UNICORN

#1 VTE Zakiyah
#2 VTE Michelle

Sometimes unwatchable, especially when she's talking to AMERICA but we can blame James for that. She faced down Paulie like nobody's business and wasn't fazed by his horrible, misogynistic and piggy comments, and for that I salute her.

Won: $2,500; 1 week immunity plus costume
TEAM FREAKAZOID

#1 VTE Michelle
#2 VTE Bridgette

I used to mostly like her but now she's mostly unwatchable, between her constant petting and twining with Corey and her constant complaining and acting the victim about every big and tiny thing.

Won: Outback dinner (guest)
TEAM BIG SISTER

#1 No vote (nullified by James)
#2 VTE Bridgette

Often unwatchable but with moments of clarity and intelligence, and the fact that he's still wearing his pelican swimmy around is kind of hilarious. Talk about grabbing a life vest.

Won: 8 days pixel suit; Outback dinner
TEAM CATEGORY 4

#1 VTE Michelle
#2 VTE Bridgette

NOMINATED
Thoroughly unwatchable.

Won: Revival; immunity 1st 2 evictions
TEAM UNICORN

#1 No vote (HOH)
#2 VTE Bridgette
HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD

Sometimes unwatchable but sometimes likeable and practically normal - as normal as possible for a hamster, anyway. He'll redeem himself completely and get a fresh slate if he goes through with the plan to put up Paulie and Corey.
Update: Fully redeemed and clean slated.

Won: 8 days pixel suit; Outback dinner
TEAM CATEGORY 4

#1 VTE Zakiyah
#2 EVICTED 5-1

She was super perky and upbeat but she also had a dark side that was fun and fascinating. She was in a pixel bikini when feeds began, and she formed a solid friendship/alliance with Bronte and Natalie. She baked cookies nonstop and gathered intel for the Spygirls as everyone overlooked and gametalked around her in the kitchen. Michelle hated her over a misunderstood eyebrows comment, and then Bridgette became everyone's target when she buddied up with teamie Frank and won an HOH and veto the same week. But she survived two evictions after his, and openly confronted Michelle about their drama, eventually winning her over. She'll be missed.

Won: Outback dinner (guest)
TEAM BIG SISTER

#1 EVICTED 3-2

Stunningly gorgeous plus photogenic, she came as a fan since BB3 but said she was up for a showmance. She focused on the latter when she took a shine to Paulie, and that progressed from awkward overlong hugs to bumping in bumpercars. He gave her several verbal beatdowns but she kept going back for more, even as he plotted her demise with his boys. She also took a shine to a stuffed giraffe and gave it a birthday party, and she formed a couple friendships that might last beyond BB, notably with Da'Vonne and Michelle. Game-wise she didn't do much and she went eight consecutive shows with no Diaries. No #Deathrace2016 here - best stunt hair to date.

Won: Outback dinner (guest)
TEAM BIG SISTER

She lasted longer than last time, but not as long as she hoped. Like Frank and Nicole, she started gaming too hard and turning on her fellow vets, when the four of them could have steamrolled the eejit noobs and gone all the way. Da'Vonne played better than some, planting little poison seedbombs against others that took root and grew, but they came back to bite her. She gave us good Diaries again, creative turns of phrase, hair flips, deadly if-looks-could-kill glares, reaction faces deluxe, and occasional belly laughs. Now and then she dropped her game face and gave us a funny, relaxed one instead, and it was always good to see.

Won: 8 days pixel suit; Outback dinner
TEAM CATEGORY 4

He made a rookie mistake by playing too hard and fast, way too early, when he should have laid low and enjoyed the safety that was handed to him. But he played for his life last time, and he was mentored by the sidekick rather than the master. His social game was the best of the bunch till he got in trouble for slapping asses and being mouthy, but he's not a bad guy overall and his exit was a fatal hit for the feeds. Pixels were his third costume, a hamster record. His friendship with Bridgette was fun to watch, with funky movie retells and baking, and every random topic under the sun.

Won: $2,500
TEAM FREAKAZOID

She came in looking and sounding so much like Vanessa it was spooky, but it didn't take long to realize her game was more Audrey-style chaos and sabotage than poker-faced strategy. Paulie's the only one who didn't get that memo but that's Paulie for you. Two weeks in a row she didn't campaign to save herself nearly as much as others campaigned for her, but when she transformed into Free Agent IDGAF Tiffany it was a joy to behold. I'm surprised #They let one of the six stuntcasts go before jury, but it just goes to show the whole thing isn't as rigged as some believe.

Won: Immunity 1st 2 evictions
TEAM UNICORN

She went in saying she'd use behavioral sciences to maneuver her way to the win but she spent most of her time with Bridgette and Natalie who were barely playing BB. Her huge confession to them about being the 'secret nerd' and aspiring mathematician was just silly, and she'll always be remembered for not knowing what 9x9 is. She didn't bring much to the table beyond her abnormally high voice and hair bows, and even the hair bows didn't stick around. She seems like a pleasant enough person but like so many others, she should have gone on a dating show instead.

Won: Nothing
TEAM BIG SISTER

One of the most delusional hamsters ever (and that's saying something), he was convinced he owned the house, he was the messiah of the newbies, the savior, the sanctuary, and the next Mario Lopez. He wore his doggie comp suit for days, but mostly he just wore underpants. His gametalks with Paul and Victor were pure comedy since they had no clue whatsoever how far out of every loop they were, and The Jozea and Paul Talk Show concluded with the two of them roaming the house looking for a camera that worked. Jozea's shtick got old fast for many, but he was feeds gold for trainwreck fans like myself.

Won: $2,500
TEAM FREAKAZOID

I didn't like having to combine an intro with an obit, but that's how the dog biscuit crumbles. He seemed like a fun guy with potential for fun feeds, especially his admission that he'd be 'willing to flirt if necessary' but he also might have gotten into heated political discussions, and BB is not the place for that. He didn't technically get Jodi'd since he got to compete twice, but gone before feeds is never good, and neither is trial by combat. Too bad the token older/regular person/fan got the first boot but young, pretty, hormonal hamsters are all the rage anymore.
