Day 32 - Sunday 7/19

There isn't enough popcorn

This was one of the busiest feeds days ever and there's no way I can recap everything, but I'll take a stab at the highlights.. it all started when Clay and Audrey got into it in the backyard about trust issues - Flashback 7/19 12.54pm

It went on for ages, with Austin present for most of it.. Clay got heated but Audrey stayed horizontal for most of it, raising an occasional "talk to the hand" hand and a dab at the eyes here and there as she ran her usual "I get excluded from group things" loops.. Clay fell into the age old trap of straying from the topic and telling Audrey how she thinks and feels, and anyone could tell you that didn't go over well.. he also said "I got Jeff out of here" at one point - ooookay

They went back and forth for nearly an hour, and then Clay went upstairs to begin his retell to Shelli and Vanessa but oops, Audrey ran up the stairs not far behind him.. Clay didn't even want to answer the door but was told he had to, since they realized they couldn't talk about her while she was parked outside on the skybridge

So Clay opened the door but told Audrey she couldn't come in, and he blocked her entrance in one of the grander comedy moments of this very grand comedic day - Flashback 7/19 1.52pm.. Shelli and Vanessa said to let Audrey in so Clay did, saying "I just decided you can be in here now" and Round 2 got underway.. shots were fired when Audrey told Clay "I think this stems from something deeper in you".. voices and tempers continued to rise, particularly Clay's

Shelli and Vanessa had been fairly quiet, but Vanessa piped up for Round 3 - Flashback 7/19 2.17pm.. she started cross-examining Audrey like a B-list TV trial lawyer, eventually announcing (loudly) that she now has no loyalty to Audrey at all.. Shelli spent most of it watching silently, wearing sunglasses and occasionally snickering

The best part of all this, as with most Audrey confrontations past, is that she was telling a lot of truths and her opponents (former allies/friends) just didn't want to be reminded of them.. toss in Audrey's random non-sensical comments, pity ploys, and everyone's paranoia, defensiveness, and fear of secrets being outted, and there isn't enough popcorn in the world

0

But that's not all

Audrey stuck around HOH to work on Shelli, but that didn't go well for either of them.. Vanessa pitched a deal to Jackie, who wasn't interested

Audrey met up with James to tell him all about the HOH alliance(s) and what's been on up there since his HOH week.. she suggested he lay some pre-veto meeting getalong groundwork, then all the strays would band together to plow through the power people, saving her along the way of course

James ran that around quickly but more as a tattle-tale than a revolution.. he told Clay, and we were off again as Clay retold the Audrey fight to various outsiders, and Audrey pitched the plan to various others

Then Vanessa got hold of James and put him on the grill, while fibbing about things like not knowing how he ended up being nominated this week and all those pesky alliance accusations (that just happened to be true).. somehow they did a photobooth during all this

Shelli began to hold committee meetings, beginning with a few outsiders, to explain the Audrey Situation and feign innocence about her alliance tales.. as James retold said tales, Shelli became visibly angry at one point, her reddening face and sweating catching their notice - I suspect that was due to hearing an actual Audrey lie as opposed to the true Audrey "lies"

Shelli told them that putting up Audrey as renom had to be a "house decision" (making feedsters gag), and then Jackie showed up.. Shelli told her to summon a few others for the next committee meeting, but Jackie gathered everyone who wasn't already in HOH, except Audrey, and herded them upstairs.. they all checked the spyscreen a few times to make sure she wasn't going to join them - Flashback 7/19 8.40pm

It was ironic that after all the times Audrey suggested someone call a house meeting that when it finally happened, it was about her and she was excluded.. the loops were retold yet again, and Shelli said she didn't want it to be a mob mentality (really?).. Shelli and especially Vanessa ran some more of their revisionist history, and Clay said they were all lucky and special to be there, and that Big Brother is about "playing the game, enjoying the people, and making memories" (really??)

At the end of it, Shelli seemed pleased with her handiwork.. few if any of the outsiders believed the HOH alliance(s) stories.. Audrey went into total meltdown/isolation mode.. the Wackstreets did a couple more dances and we got to see the one during After Dark again.. they all ended up playing charades (except Audrey, of course)

Vanessa will probably use her veto on Jason and Audrey will go up in his place.. I'd say this will likely be the end for her, but she's been finished before and stuck anyway.. we'll see

Day 31 - Saturday 7/18

Wackstreet's wack, all right

Johnny, Jason, and Lizia got their Wackstreet Boys outfits, and spent a long time in Diary learning a dance routine from a choreographer.. their all-white outfits included pagers, headphone/mic headsets, baseball cap for Lizia and fedora for Johnny, plus bonus drawn-on jawline beardlet

It's odd they went with white, since hamsters aren't allowed to bring white clothing (because of glare, I assume), and also odd they went with Backstreet when NSYNCer Lance Bass is a huge BB fan.. their dance signal was changed from pagers to the usual loudspeakers.. feedsters haven't seen the dance yet, as of this writing, nor grunge cake delivery for as-yet-unnamed Have-nots

Meg, James, Vanessa were picked to play for veto with Shelli, Jason, Johnny, with Steve hosting.. naturally that led Shelli, Vanessa, Clay and company to spiral off into their frenzied loops again, one step closer to their plot to backdoor Audrey coming to fruition.. Shelli announced if there's cash or prizes, she would go for them

Vanessa won the veto.. the comp sounded similar to last year's involving colors, stripes, and exploding paintballs to the face.. Meg and Johnny seemed to have gotten the worst of that

Wack and wacker

Have-not supplement delivery finally came and grunge cake turned out to be a tasty assortment of angelfood and sponge cakes plus gravy - not bad, especially compared to some of the squid guts type things that have come before.. Jackie, Audrey, John, Becky volunteered/were appointed by Shelli to move into the dental office

The Wackstreet signal also finally happened and we got to see their dance routine.. they did it on the rarely-used skybridge and the spectators below enjoyed it - it was pretty cute.. they did it again when the backyard finally opened around 2.50am, but we got fishies for that one

The other long-awaited event was Shelli finally doing some much-needed weave maintenance.. it was a grisly and fascinating exercise, which Audrey (of all people) helped her with.. Shelli kept saying she didn't want to be doing it in front of the cameras and she was clearly uncomfortable doing so, so it made no real sense to be doing it in primetime, especially since she stays up til all hours, but that's hamster logic for you.. maybe she just didn't want Clay to see.. Shelli's stunt hair is a tape-on variety, plus some sort of spray glue - she said she learned how to install it from YouTube, and she buys it from that YouTuber.. Deathrace 2015 fans were giddy with excitement and horror

Gamewise, the HOH crew did a few rounds about what to do and who to do it to, but I didn't follow it well.. Audrey's their target, then she isn't, then she is again and that will probably change a dozen times before Monday's veto meeting.. the last I heard, Vanessa was planning to use her veto on Jason, and that much at least seems somewhat set as of now

Won: Nothing
I haven't given many empty wheels before their time, and I don't think any of those got them as early as he did. But we've never had such a misogynistic, inappropriate, and unfunny pig before. CBS let him get away clean and that's what it is - I'm just glad to see the back of him.

Won: Power to nullify 3 votes
She wasn't afraid to confront people nor to keep fighting to stay, which was good for us, but didn't help her much. She figured out the twins early but didn't leverage that to her advantage soon or well enough. Her pantry rant to us was memorable, especially her catch-phrase 'get your life!' and she was smart, funny, and volatile. #DaVonneHasADaughter was a hashtag too good to be true and to her credit, she didn't let us take full advantage of it.

Won: Nothing
He was like a parody of all the former surf boys we've had, with all the worst qualities of asshat hamsters past rolled into one. He verbally beat up on Steve a few times but the primetime version earned him viewer loathing, even if his actoring was lousy. He ranted, streaked, flipped us off, and mostly talked about himself, but he promised to save us all someday through music.

Big Brother 17 FAQ
June 18 was Day 1 move-in. June 24 was CBS premiere, Day 7. Finale will be September 23, Day 98

Feeds are streamed by CBS, and accessible via All Access subscription. Call 888-274-5343 for account help, including cancellation.

CBS shows are Sundays 8pm, Wednesdays 8pm, eviction Thursdays 9pm (Global in Canada).

Big Brother After Dark is on POP (formerly TVGN). It airs Monday, Tuesday 11pm-2am; Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday midnight-2am; Thursday 1am-3am. The aired blocks are recorded earlier on the same night.

The CBS app (by CBS Interactive) will play BB air shows and other CBS shows, but not feeds. Use your browser to watch feeds on mobile devices. The same All Access link used to subscribe will lead to the feeds viewing page if you're already signed up.

Liz and Julia have to survive five evictions in order to play separately as individuals. They switch places every few days. They have a limited time in Diary to change clothes, adjust their appearance, and exchange info. The non-playing twin probably stays in hotel sequester.

BB17 prizes are the same: $500k for the winner and $50k for 2nd place. Stipend for the others is $1,000 per week again, including pre-show hotel and jury sequester. Recruits or those with established pre-season fan bases might get more.

The habitat has 80 HD cameras (up four) and over 100 microphones.

The recorded in-house announcements are the voice of producer Don Wollman.
