Big Brother After Dark is on TVGN (Slice in Canada) three hours Mon/Tues starting 11pm, two hours Wed/Fri/Sat/Sun starting midnight; and two hours Thurs starting 1am. Zach seemed especially hard hit and went off on his own for a bit afterwardsLater Frankie had a commercial-free After Dark solo where he read the letter again and talked to his fans about his grandpa and how much he'd influenced Frankie's life.. it sounds like he was a good man who lived a good life.. my condolences go out to the family The rest of the day was a lot of Caleb retelling his date with Amber and harping about pickle-in-a-banana - he doesn't seem to have any grasp of the extreme and slapsticky symbolism there, by the way.. we had a super-quick glimpse of Jocasta sobbing alone at one point, another mystery.. Zach saved the day a couple times, like he does, by successfully pranking Amber with a fake bloody nose, and attempting to scare Nicole on the stairs - BB wouldn't let him carry out that one, but it triggered fond memories of BB7 Alison in the urn and BB9 Natalie's hide 'n seek   Sudden mass pranking happened when Brittany (plus Victoria) smeared Vaseline in Derrick's bed.. he went to HOH where shaving cream retaliation was loud, swift and severe - Flashback 7/24 2.25am.. Brittany's gone tomorrow, unanimously or close to it, but most of them were still telling her she's safe, so we might get our first blindside eviction of the season.. I'm hoping she'll do her hair like she did Tuesday night: we've never had a Deathrace 2014 hairdo in Julie's boudoir before, on a hamster anyway
Dressed up (Tuesday 7/22) They got the camera and did their posing, and Cody wrote his blog and tweets.. he told them about one tweet he wrote that didn't show up ("retweet if you want Julie Chen as much as I do"), so that's one more for the total tweets count discrepancy between the @BigBrotherHOH and @bbhohinternal accountsBrittany kept up her non-stop (futile) campaigning, and then she stopped for awhile to do her hair, pushing her right to the top of the hotly contested Deathrace 2014 race, for now.. she asked between duckish mirrorfaces if it looked okay in the back, Victoria said it did, and feedsters died a little more Most of them dressed up due to the promise of a booze delivery - Amber & Brittany to the nines - and Zach suggested Brittany hold a house meeting after everyone got a bit sippy.. unfortunately for us, Cody and the rest of the guys stomped down that idea, and then they decided to cut Zach sooner rather than later.. Jocasta and Cody had a prayer circle that ended in hugs and tears, and Caleb hit the deck after doing some running, citing a bum knee
Turnt up The booze finally arrived: 2 bottles of wine and 16 beers, a rather hefty delivery by BB USA standards but not much for 13 hamsters, even if one or two don't drink.. Caleb set up his pickle date with Amber and they went off to their corner of the yard for that bit of awkward.. the rest of them had a group toast and speeches, and then ran amokThe inside group eventually spilled outside and shotgunned some beers, Nicole got silly sloppy drunk, Victoria got sloppy drunk and crushed on Frankie's straight guy character Frank, and even more so after he planted her first BB kiss on her.. BBQ Smackdown Round 2: Come Grill With Me The metal monster made it clear yesterday that it's ready to take on Frankie without regard to sisters, legions of fans, or Neapolitan ice cream cone hair-do's, and it took advantage of the drunken chaos by claiming a sudden death turnaround matchFrankie foolishly called the propane behemoth to life by calling out "come grill with me" to the drunken hordes, which kind of sounded like a new off-Broadway play, but the metal monster wasn't interested in a song 'n dance routine.. instead, it made Frankie spill his sauce right into the open flames, causing him to call out "OHHH FUCK!" with Victoria chiming in.. Derrick, in his ongoing not-the-smartest-guy-in-the-room undercover act, took the opportunity to tell them he'd gotten burned earlier - Flashback 7/22 10.37pm Final score: BBQ 1, Frankie 0, Derrick 0
Cody's choice (Monday 7/21) The hamsters scrambled before the veto meeting, like they do.. Zach's "put me up" plan was kaiboshed, and it appeared that Donny would be safe too after a heart-to-heart with Cody - Flashback 7/21 10.41am.. but that didn't take after all, and Cody put up Donny in Victoria's place rather than CalebThe day rolled on with Cody feeling like he'd let down himself and/or his family, Donny giving knowing looks here and there (maybe just my imagination), Brittany starting up her "I deserve to be here" loops, and events like Nicole & Amber attempting to prank sleeping Zach with shaving cream but creaming drowsy Hayden instead, and Caleb & Amber doing a dare for a date: Caleb ate a dreaded pickle and won the date, saying it could only be broken if she eats a banana.. once more and forever, you just can't make it up Most of them are getting snippy about others behind backs, otherwise it was a lot of messing/cleaning the kitchen cycles, a lot of chit-chat, a lot of naps, and a lot of ants Remember to click "previous Hamsterwatch episode" up top to see what came before, and/or check the Updates section for real-time feeds updates & caps by @UgotBronx, and/or get the feeds
BBQ Smackdown Round 1: Grande Slam On to the What Really Matters department, BBQ Smackdown 2014 officially kicked off with the first scored match of the season.. it was a private, invitation-only event (read: not on feeds) so we only have the retells to go by, but Frankie gives good retell and that's enough for impatient and bloodthirsty Smackdown fansAccording to Frankie, he grilled some tuna steaks to perfection, but the metal monster wasn't intimidated by his legions of Twitter, YouTube, and Broadway fans (nor his 16-million-strong backup army).. no, the clanging contraption scoffs at such things, and it proved as much by lashing out at the Neapolitan-headed hamster, giving him a .5 degree burn - Flashback 7/21 2.44pm.. despite this humiliating defeat, Frankie went back later to grill more tuna steaks, without incident, but it was too late for a scoreboard start-over Final score: BBQ 1, Frankie 0
