Daily Feeds Recaps
Day 38 - Thursday - August 14, 2025
Catching up last night, Mickey and Morgan ran to the upstairs lounge after Zach told Mickey about his $10k veto, and that Morgan already knew about it. That part didn't cause the ripple effect I thought it might, especially after Mickey was on a tear the other day about Morgan not telling her things. Mickey said Zach hadn't told her the part about his cash going to the HOH if/when he uses his power, which may be true and if so, likely just an oversight on his part due to rushing the explanation. M and M's M&Ms came out and they replayed their 1,000 scenarios, with Mickey eventually asking what does Zach having that power do for them, Mickey and Morgan? They ended up talking about voting him out today, but I don't think they finalized that (and it would be unlike them to finalize anything before they had to).
Morning anipals came early which had me wondering, but then they came again at the usual time(s) for a Thursday so the early one was likely maintenance of some kind? I ran some errands and came back to find Zach clutching and nuzzling Lauren, which was more surprising than what I paid for coffee. He might have been saying his good-byes, whether just-in-case or because he'd had some tips that he didn't have all the votes he thought, I don't know. Elsewhere, Rachel was working hard to try to convince Keanu Buttler not to throw the Block Buster comp, but he was resisting. The WTFery of this season can't even be measured. Julie posted a preview of the Block Buster, which is rearranging oversize blocks by color onto four spindles. Vince Egg could have a tough time with that if the guys have to wear their costumes since his reach is limited, but maybe they'll let him wear his soft shell and ear flaps hat.
The recap segments included Zach telling Morgan about his pocket veto but not Mickey, Mickey's raging case of HOHitis lasting well past her HOH week, and a clever black and white noir-style edit of Vince Egg roaming the house with voice-over narration that included puns by the dozen. The Block Buster comp was titled Jumbo Gemstones, and it was as Julie demo'd earlier. Vince was relieved of his egg to do it and he didn't even have to wear his jammies, but Keanu Buttler wore his. Keanu Buttler won it, so either his competitive spirit wouldn't let him throw it, or Rachel got through to him and made him see sense. The sobbing started as the three guys re-entered the house, Vince Egg back in his full getup, and he and Zach collapsed into each other and cried.

Zach made it through his nominee speech but Vince Egg choked up at the end of his. Desperately sad Zach sitting next to Vince Egg was the most ridiculous and wonderful thing ever. The votes were sadly cast, the shoutouts gleefully shouted, and Zach was evicted 8-2, with Rachel and Will the dissenters. Most of them broke down as they hugged him good-bye, and Zach whispered "thank you" to each as he made the teary rounds. He went out in good spirits, and he got through a couple questions from Julie before she mentionoed his unused $10k veto. She asked him to lean forward a bit, which she did, and she whacked him on the head with her cards like she did Marcellas so many years ago, and it was nice to see her revive that much-needed tradition. (Along the way she faux choked Lawon for a similar blunder.) There was no mention of the wall comp or anything else unusual for next week, except that the veto will be OTEV.
I never want to hear a peep about the "costume curse" again because it's simply not a thing. But the first-to-enter curse remains intact for non-celebrity Big Brother USA. Sorry Zach.
Feeds didn't come back til 11pm, and Rachel had won the HOH. They said the comp ran about two hours and finished not long before we joined them. It was a detail memory comp where they had to go to different "rooms" and they had questions about which objects were where, and how many. Rachel gave us a grin in the pantry as she talked in the pantry with Keanu and Vince. Those two weren't in their costumes and it became clear they'd been excused from buttler and egg duties early - good for them, bad for us. Rachel was called to Diary and Keanu said "go queen!" She did, and Vince said he's sure he'll go up, and they started counting votes. Already. Mickey and Morgan talked in the lounge and Mickey said Morgan did good in the comp (she finished second). Kelley consoled a sad Lauren and said she understood how she felt because she felt bad when Adrian got the boot. Ashley, Ava, Will had a whispery meeting about shaky alliances, with some anti-Mickey comments, and Ashley said "we're losing the plot, let's fight after we get the other fuckers out." And they said they were happy for Rachel, that "she needed that boost," which they repeated to Rachel when she joined. She said she'd be sad if Mickey went home, and Ashley said Vince is scared of Rachel.
Vince told Rachel he figures he'll go on the block again, and he asked her to go easy on him with her speech. Rachel said Ava already took care of that, and Vince asked "can I go front door so I can play veto?" Rachel laughed and said "you think you're that important?" [to backdoor]. Both laughed, and Vince said he's not been making all kinds of alliances to go against Rachel. (Sure Jan.) Vince met with Morgan and they said they were sure Zach would have gone to F5, even F2. Vince said "that was such a stupid fuckin HOH" because neither Zach nor he would have targeted Ava, but Vince will now. Morgan said Zach told her if he'd won the veto, he'd have used it on Vince. She omitted the part about his pocket veto. They were joined by Keanu and Kelley, and Morgan said in a tiny voice how hard it was to choose between her best friends, and losing one, "but if you look sad people complain you're too emotional." Keep your tiny violins handy. Mickey told Katherine about Rachel asking to be put up during her HOH week, referring to the "Ava" convo. Lauren talked to Kelley and Rachel about wondering if she and Zach might have a future together.
Rachel changed into a glam outfit with green cape and bow for her HOH room reveal, and said it was custom made for her, and designed by her with a designer friend whose name she couldn't remember. She pulled Kelley into Have-not room to soft pitch an F2, and she said she knows what she needs to do and it'll shake up the house. Kelley said she'd like to go as far as she can with Rylie, but she liked Katherine better before the showmance. Kelley did her usual offer to be a pawn if needed and Rachel basically said stop volunteering to do that, and they wondered if they should do the F3 with Keanu since he's such a good competitor and seems loyal to them. Keanu cycled in for Kelley and said he figures Rachel will put up Vince, and she said she doesn't think she will, but she knows what she'll do. He said with Vince, Kelley, Rylie, Katherine, they're five votes and can get out whoever she wants. She said he needs to stop blabbing to Vince and gave him examples when he did, and said she's his best chance to win at F2 but he had to stop being so messy. When she left, he said "noted, noted."

4th evicted - Day 31
He was the 2nd HOH but like Vince the prior week, he was over-allied and self-painted into a corner, so he put up his bestie Rachel's bestie Amy as renom pawn, and off she went. He worked hard at being sassy and campy, especially to and with Rachel, but she pulls it off without even trying and his comedy usually felt more performative than entertaining. But at least he put in an effort, which is more than most of them this year. His dress-up noms were almost as cringe as Todrick's, and that was magnified by his resentment when he hit the block a couple weeks later. He was a good sidekick for Rachel and liked by most of them.

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/1/0 - HN 0
Adrian Rocha - 23 24
Instagram
Single - fan applicant
Carpenter San Antonio, TX
3rd evicted - Day 24
His pre-season stuff was wild, with his homemade wall comp and boisterous personality, but that guy didn't show up, maybe due to the syndrome of everyone being center-of-attention types and there just isn't enough limelight for everyone. His comp skills were good and he would have been a better choice for Rachel's protegé than Keanu but they had zero rapport, and Adrian's social game was absent with almost everyone. He had his moments with his emotional support bread and issues with doors, but he harped about honesty and loyalty too much so maybe this just wasn't the show for him. But he's a good guy and I wish him well.

Amy Bingham - 43
Instagram
Single, 3 kids - fan applicant, prior callback, casual feedster
Insurance agent Stockton, CA
2nd evicted - Day 17
She didn't do as much as some in the 'older woman' casting slot before her, but she got away with being the move-in Accomplice by doing a few tasks without being caught. She and Rachel bonded quickly and tightly as fellow moms, but their closeness made a target of Amy and she got the boot to weaken Rachel's game. She was generally liked in there, and she cried a lot but she handled slop well. She got out by the July 31 deadline to get her job of 20 years back, if she wants it.

Won: Nothing
HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0/0 - HN 0
Isaiah "Zae" Frederich - 23
Instagram
Single - applied for TAR
Salesperson Provo, UT Phoenix, AZ (orig Paducah, KY)
1st evicted - Day 10
It's nice to get a brojock out early, especially first, and between constantly exhibiting his muscles and his smarts, he didn't do much to help prevent that. He didn't lay down to die when he hit the block so that's something, but he campaigned repetitively and relentlessly, holding voters hostage for hours at a time and talking 100 mph at them without pausing for breath. He landed himself on TMZ and tangled with Rachel, and that's about all he'll be remembered for.

GAME TWISTS
Day 1: Rachel joined the cast and the game.
Day 1: Amy was a secret accomplice. She wasn't identified by a majority of players (or any of them) so remained in the game.
Day 1: Zach won BB Buy-off in Find Julie move-in comp. He got $10k, but if he's on the block at the end of veto meeting any week before jury, he can buy safety. HOH will get the $10k and have to name another nominee.
> Unused, he went home with the $10k
Day 1: Rachel had first week immunity and automatic Have-not. The other HNs (Ava, Will, Zach) also had immunity.
Day 10: Keanu won Mystery Competitor in HOH comp: an alum will play veto on his behalf if he's on the block, before jury.
> Used Day 12: Kaycee played for him, and won.
Day 10: Kelley won Mystery Veto in HOH comp: can play an individual challenge to win a second veto to save herself or someone else on the block, before jury.
> Used Day 14: won her challenge and took herself off the block.
Day 10: Mickey won HOH Interrogation in HOH comp: can anonymously dethrone reigning HOH, who can interrogate everyone and make an official guess who did it. If correct, they're back to HOH and if not, she reveals herself and becomes HOH, before jury.
> Used Day 24/25: took over Rylie's HOH.
