Day 84 - Monday - October 7, 2024
Chelsie gave Makensy the news overnight that she'll be voting to evict face to face. Makensy was shocked, and Chelsie pointed out there was no point in Diary Room voting since the whole reason for that was anonymity. And she said it would be the same on finale night when third place is cut. Makensy said "that one's a lot easier" but I don't think she really thought that out. Every eviction is harder than the last, and that final eviction is hardest of all since someone gets that close to the end, only to have it snatched away at the last minute. They were told at some point veto meeting would be live on the eviction show, so they didn't spiral about that not happening today (rats). Instead there were some church stories from Chelsie, long naps by Cam, Chelsie, Makensy, cartwheels from Rubina, and cards. Tomorrow has been designated tie-die day.
By 5.30pm all four were awake and they spent the rest of the evening in HOH playing cards, learning backgammon, and attempting card tricks. The latter brought a lot of giggling from Cam and Rubina but none from Chelsie and Makensy, even though they were all together on the HOH bed. A loud, silly, extended argument broke out over how to count how many days they have left and whether they should count today, or Sunday, or include Monday for press. It was good-natured, but maybe a few hidden and building hostilities came out too. Chelsie and Makensy wondered again when everything on the finale will happen, and how much of that is live and what's taped ahead, and when. Assuming Thursday's show is live, I think they'll do F3 memories meal and Part 1 Thursday night, Part 2 (plus jury roundtable) on Friday, nothing on Saturday, then they'll say good-bye to us and end feeds Sunday morning. But I'm still confused about no tickets being posted for this week, and I haven't written off the possibility they'll tape the eviction Wednesday, and not have to rush all that so much. We'll find out when we find out.
I didn't hear a peep of gametalk all day long, other than Makensy telling Chelsie that Rubina still hadn't talked to her about the veto.

Day 85 - Tuesday - October 8, 2024
Their wakeup didn't come til 11am. Rubina finally asked Makensy for a talk last night, for sometime today. Chelsie gave us a morning chisme episode, saying she's "tired of these jokers" and she's been getting annoyed at everyone, and "Zingbot was right about a couple people." She predicted Makensy will evict Rubina, which has become awkward because Rubina keeps talking like she'll be there til Sunday, but she said she's looking forward to Makensy having to get some blood on her hands on Thursday. She thought Cam might win Part 1, even though he's not come through on her win predictions for him all season. And she predicted she'll win Parts 2 and 3, but she acknowledged it isn't likely Makensy won't win any of the final comps. She said she knows she has to lock in one or two wins in these final comps, but she feels confident either Makensy or Cam will take her to the end if the choice is theirs. And she said it might sound arrogant or naive to say so, but she feels confident she'll be able to articulate to the jury why she should win over Cam or Makensy, as she has done all season. (I agree.) And she said if she wins the whole thing, she will "lose her trash."
The rim of Makensy's mason jar mug randomly broke off and fell into her coffee. I assume they have the same ones that are sold in the CBS/Paramount store, like their sippy cups and water bottles, so maybe avoid the mason jar mugs if you're thinking of buying one. Makensy and Rubina got out the tie-dye supplies and started to prep for that project later. Rubina pointed out to herself/us that Cam's been sticking close to Makensy after he followed her upstairs, after she followed Chelsie upstairs. Makensy told Chelsie that Rubina hadn't talked to her yet, and they figured that might happen around 2am. Rubina played a lot of solitaire and lost a lot, did some oral hygiene, swept the floor, and cycled. Cam and Chelsie had a lengthy discussion about life, careers, and post-BB expectations. Cam and Makensy had a check-in, with Makensy still/again implying she'll keep him. Cam worked out some.
Makensy made dinner of burgers and frozen fries, griping to herself about having to cook "for the kids" again. After that they played cards as they rotated into Diary to record farewells and then they finally got to tie-dyeing. They asked for better instructions for that, and BB laminated the how-to sheet for them that came with the dyes (ha!) They started with rubber band arrangements and eventually started trying freehand squirts and dribbles. They got some of their own clothes to decorate, including Cam, who didn't want to do it in the first place but found he liked both the process and the results. Makensy had stressed earlier in the day about the whole project because it's a messy one, then she forgot to put gloves on for her first project so she got some stained hands. Some drips also ended up on the floor, and on a couple shoes. Chelsie went upstairs for a bath and the other three did some styling with cut off bits of tee shirts, which went south quickly.
As of midnight, Rubina still hadn't had her talk with Makensy, and Makensy complained to Chelsie about that, again. All four ended up in HOH again for a bit, with no gametalk of any kind. (I'd guess even if that talk does happen, it'll be Rubina asking if she's safe and Makensy telling her she is, even though she isn't.)

Day 86 - Wednesday - October 9, 2024
Just after I closed off last night's episode, Rubina asked herself "is [Makensy] avoiding me? I think she's avoiding me.. I did tell I want to talk to her." That was right after Cam went to bed, the three women were in HOH, with Chelsie talk-blocking by leading animated conversations about non-game topics, and then Makensy jumped up to follow Chelsie when she went back downstairs. Today Makensy told Chelsie that Rubina finally told her this morning "I know it's Wednesday but.." and asked if they can still talk later (since Rubina missed her "sometime on Tuesday" appointment). Makensy complained to Chelsie "yeah, Wednesday, day before the biggest decision of the season so far" and later Chelsie told herself/us "that's the spirit of dumbassery." It's funny how we spend all season juggling hundreds, maybe thousands of convos, and now we've spent an entire week waiting for one to happen. Meanwhile Cam asked Makensy for a third check-in, and she said she'd like to hold that until after she talks to Rubina (if ever). They unwrapped last night's tie-dye projects and were happy with the results, and they were given some new stuff to tie-dye including socks. Also, Team Ants began their triumphant but not surprising return back into the habitat.
The long-awaited talk finally happened around 1.40pm. It didn't hold many surprises: Rubina said she wouldn't be afraid to pick Makensy for F2 if the choice is hers, and she said she's realistic but also optimistic about that happening. Makensy said she hasn't decided yet and was under a lot of stress about it because there was no right decision, but there could be a wrong decision for her. Rubina downplayed her chances to win at the end but Makensy said she has a good resumé between her social game, allies in jury, and having survived the block as many times as she has, parroting things Chelsie has been pounding into her head. Makensy talked a lot about her comp wins but acknowledged she didn't have much else going for her, and she said she dreaded the thought of getting this far and not making it to the end. And she said (surprisingly) if she does make it to finals, she "doesn't give a fuck" if she wins or not. Things turned more from tomorrow's decision to Rubina supporting Makensy in her angst about getting to the end. Makensy pointed out it isn't life or death even though it feels like it, but in reality they'll all be fine afterwards, and they've all been playing camp games while being controlled by a robot (a great line). Rubina said she would take Makensy to the end if it's her choice, and she hopes Makensy won't let Chelsie decide what she should do(!). Afterwards Rubina put out a request to the universe that she makes it through to F3 (with more oomph than she gave Makensy), and she gave herself a Stuart Smalley-type peptalk to a mirror.
Rubina and Cam packed, dinner happened, and Rice Krispie treats were made with an assortment of different cereals. Makensy whispered some of her Rubina convo to Chelsie over the marshmallow gloop, but I don't think Rubina made much headway, if any, since Makensy retold it with a disdainful tone. All four played cards for awhile, and later Chelsie whispered to Cam that he had to follow up and talk with Makensy because Rubina had gotten in her head by saying she'd take Makensy to finals if the choice is hers. Cam said he understood the mission, and said he'll tell Makensy she'll lose to Rubina if that happens because of Rubina's social game and friends in jury, and he'll stress the loyalty of their trio. (In other words, all the things Chelsie's been feeding both Makensy and Cam these past few weeks.) Cam got right to it. Makensy started by saying she's still leaning towards keeping him (as opposed to telling Rubina she didn't know yet), and a half hour later they wrapped up with Makensy telling Cam he's good, as of now. They discussed their loyalty, and Rubina (supposedly) being a power player and liar all season, and Makensy said she'd asked God for a sign, that she should evict Rubina if she didn't get around to talking to her yesterday (which she didn't).
So it seems a done deal that Rubina will go out tomorrow, and right to the jury roundtable on Friday. The other three will probably have their champagne memories dinner after tomorrow's show, and then do Part 1 of the final HOH. That's almost always endurance of some sort, and chances are good neither Cam or Makensy are expecting that.

What's going on over there? A video was leaked of Rubina and Tucker sexytime in the HOH, footage that was not on feeds. Are employee background checks as sloppy as they used to be for the cast? Where's the oversight? Over the years some sex events were on feeds but rarely for long, and not for quite a few years now. And I don't ever remember a sex tape being leaked before from this show with footage that wasn't on feeds. Studio City, you have a problem.

He continues to amuse me with his random comments and goofy questions, and he's held up well being the last man standing - not counting his gloomy spells after losing comps. Luckily he rebounds from those fairly quickly. As of now, it looks like he'll be going through to final three, where he'll win or lose those final comps to decide his fate. I think if he manages to win the final HOH and cuts Chelsie, it could be a game-winning move.

She's played the hell out of this game, both with comp wins and manipulation. She's controlled the last seven HOHs, and it looks like she's brought Makensy around to booting Rubina rather than her Week 1 ally Cam. She's sure to win the season if it's her versus Cam. If it's her versus Makensy, that'll be a trickier choice for the jurors, but I think Chelsie's social game and especially the time and effort she's put in with evictees on their way out will pay off for her.

She's won a lot of comps and in a lot of seasons, that can win the game. But this jury has more social players than some seasons, and I don't know if they'll reward her simply for comp wins. Especially when she did what Chelsie wanted with those wins. I think she definitely beats Cam if she cuts Chelsie at F3, but maybe not if he does that. And I think she'll have a hard time beating Chelsie: she won't have the answers for jury questions or the final speech to do that, and Chelsie will.

She's been through a lot but she's remained cheerful, especially in this last chapter of the season. She usually stays up when the others nap, and she does her best to amuse herself and us, and it isn't easy carrying the feeds alone for hours on end. I think her game probably comes to an end this week but I'm sure she'll go out with smiles. Despite the others' talk about her having a shot at the win because she's got T'kor and Kimo in the jury, I don't see any way she'd win against Chelsie or Makensy. She could conceivably beat Cam but since neither of them won the final veto, that scenario isn't an option.

Definitely one of the nicest hamsters in this cast, he was well-liked by virtually all of them and most viewers as well (not counting his noisy eating habits and thunderous belches). He wrote several BB songs in there and sang them a lot, and he has a good singing voice, but eventually it got to be a bit much. Gamewise he spent a lot of time in the first half in marathon whisper sessions with T'kor, and they generally had very good reads, but they rarely did much with that knowledge. He saved himself in the first AI Arena but then didn't do much until he won the high pressure double eviction veto. He became a perma-pawn along with Angela and Rubina, and he didn't put up any fight about those nominations, or even campaign some weeks. But he lived his dream of being on the show, and he formed super tight bonds with T'kor and Rubina that will likely last a very long time.

Easily the co-star of the season, alongside Tucker (for different reasons), but she lasted a lot longer than he did. She won two HOHs and a veto, she was on the block seven times, and others veto'd her off it an unprecedented three times. She marched back and forth in the yard overnight for 9.5 hours, including a lot of full goop treatments, and she held up a marshmallow skewer overnight for 9.75 hours. That resumé would win many seasons, but a lot of them didn't like her. She added layers of drama, tantrums, self-deprecating humor, paranoia, kindness, a whole lot of crying, and a game strategy that mostly consisted of 'I want to be here.' She was often loyal and often not, and she was both a pleasure and a chore to watch, depending on the day, and she polarized viewers like few others. She proved that the older woman slot in the casting formula doesn't have to be a doomed early boot, or a dud.

She was a social chameleon and she wasn't in many real alliances, but she had F2s (or close enough) with Lisa, Kenney, Quinn, Brooklyn, Joseph, Makensy, and Angela. She was often fun, often annoying, and a unique personality that the edits unfortunately overlooked for the first half of the season. Things that irk me with most were endearing with her, like wearing the veto necklace or HOH robe all the time, not to mention her Jankie World toy tiara. Cam liked her but Chelsie liked Cam so that got complicated, so she switched to Tucker but he liked Rubina. Both Joseph and Quinn liked her but she kinda liked Quinn, eventually. She often talked nonstop about herself, sprinkled liberally with 'like' and 'literally,' and she came across as being ditzy but she was smarter and savvier than she seemed, and she reminded them of that often. Her bond with Angela was fun to watch as it developed, and then they went out on the same night.

She bonded with Kimo and Rubina early on, and the trio quickly became inseparable. That's heartwarming to see but a voting block of three is a big threat in this game. She was seen as their leader but she was beloved by everyone so it took awhile for her to hit the block. When she finally did, she didn't take it well and withdrew back into her self-described shell, and didn't fight hard enough to stay. She got Tucker out on her HOH, but he would have been a useful ally for her if he'd stayed. She and Kimo had excellent reads on the game and their fellow players throughout, but they didn't do much with those reads besides stealth-whisper to each other a lot. In Week 4 they orchestrated a vote flip but later denied doing so, even to each other. She's accomplished a lot in life at a young age and I have no doubt she'll continue to do so, and I wish her well.

He was a different kind of superfan, having seen episodes and RHAP podcasts, but no feeds. He got the best power this show's ever handed out on Day 2, but blabbed it to two people, so by the time he used it everyone knew and the fun was spoiled. That week he put his ally Cedric on the block and he went home, and later he put his ally Joseph on the block, and he went home. But he was allied with nearly everyone at some point, with F2s all over town, and he blew up alliances like it was a hobby. He continually thought he had everyone in his pocket, unaware his pocket had a huge gaping hole and couldn't hold anything. He shouted in Diary but was light and fun much of the time, even when his game was tanking, so props for that. He fell hard for Leah and made 'googleah' eyes at her, and his 'sick nasty' speech to her was instant inspiration for a million memes.

To his credit, his intentional comedy was every bit as good, although his dry sense of humor wasn't appreciated by some. He had a BB birthday that helped him settle in better socially, and he became the eighth hamster to get 24 hours in solitary. Three of those won their seasons but not this time. Joseph had extra chatty, holographic mini-Matt for company, and he said later he used his toilet tent for extracurricular purposes. He apologized to Angela after being brutally honest about her game, and he acknowledged he had some self-work to do about his 'mean streak.' I'll miss him, and wish him nothing but the best. All that plus his boasting made him most everyone's target but he seemed to relish that spot (along with puzzles and biscuits). He was a welcome change from the usual 'comp beast' type, often showing compassion and empathy, and shedding tears over missing his min pin Ziggi. He fell in love with Rubina, and was often loud, sometimes obnoxious, frequently funny, and he usually owned whatever room he was in, including Diary. His gameplay was reckless and unpredictable, nearly always leaving chaos in his wake. He was a good sport about being sidelined Week 1 and he used that time well, becoming well-liked by all of them. 'Young Cedric' was an ongoing, evolving skit and his own elaborate life stories usually had them and us in stitches. Between expecting volunteers for the block and painting himself into a no-win corner between his various alliances, his HOH was a disaster. Props for winning the first veto (rare for a woman), but she wasn't cut out for this setting. THE REAL SHOW IS THE FEEDS
BB1 thru BB25 plus Celebs and OTT, and loads of other shows and movies, plus originals
GAME TWISTS
-First and second move-in groups of eight voted against letting Ainsley join as 17th player, and each group played comps based on their votes.
-Losers Cedric, Chelsie were Week 1 mascots: couldn't compete for HOH or veto, couldn't vote, could be nominated.
-Makensy won America's Veto: once in first four weeks, she can remove someone from the block and viewers will instant-vote the replacement. She used it Week 3 after she went up as veto renom.
-Quinn won Deep Fake HOH: once in first four weeks, the HOH's AI avatar will announce noms Quinn secretly picked, and he can spread misinfo and rumors via that fake avatar. He used it Week 4 to take over Angela's 2nd HOH (everyone knew about it).
-Weeks 1 thru 7: HOH picked three nominees, and veto renom if applicable. The three competed live in AI Arena before the vote, and the winner came off the block.
-Week 6: Viewer vote to pick someone for AI Instigator (Tucker), who could spread rumors via others' AI avatars. A second vote determined how much cash he won ($20k).
-Week 9: Jankie World: everyone lived outside in a carnival setting, with carnival food and periodic signals to sing and dance.
