Day 80 - Thursday - October 3, 2024

Chelsie met with Makensy after HOH lockdown, talking like they were still undecided whether to boot Kimo or Rubina. (I suspect Chelsie was still planning to vote out Rubina but she wanted to ensure Makensy was on board.) Both complained about Rubina not approaching them to campaign (she did approach each of them yesterday to quickly ask if she's safe, and she was told by both she is). Chelsie mentioned Cam's recent sketchiness, but said she felt better about that than Rubina's sketchiness, and she got Makensy to agree she felt more confident they could beat Kimo at physical comps. A women's F3 was brought up again, and Chelsie also brought that up later when talking with/shmoozing Rubina. And she dropped a number of anti-Cam and anti-Makensy seed bombs, subtly working those finals votes, including saying she wished T'kor was still there instead of Makensy. Kimo and Cam talked general topics including boy bands and K-pop. The primp-a-thon got underway, and adoptable anipals took them away again until after the show.

The two-hour show felt like three. They ran an early filler segment about the tortilla slap game from August 31, over a month ago, before jury started and even before Joseph was evicted. Then came the BB Comics veto comp which we knew about, and have seen all the comics, but we had to listen to five laborious retells of finding or not finding this difference or that. That was followed by all of them in their capes talking about their techniques yet again, to each other this time, plus Cam's extremely poor performance, which led to a lot of Chelsie and Makensy bashing him for supposedly throwing it, which we've also seen. The jury house segment showed Quinn in place, with T'kor, Leah, Angela arriving one by one. We watched them watch the comps and ceremonies we've seen in their respective episodes and the subsequent recap segments, and we had to watch Jankie's vicious murder again as well. Quinn and Angela were equally flabbergasted to hear Quinn's crush on Leah might be reciprocated. And back to the main habitat: Makensy did not use her veto, and we finally got to the eviction portion of the evening.

Julie greeted the hamsters and they sang their Julie song to her, which she loved. They were shown video messages from home which had them all bawling, of course. The edit showed virtually all the gametalks about the vote that happened this week (there were very few), except whatever happened today after feeds went down that flipped them back to the original plan. Kimo and Rubina repeated their same basic speeches they've each given multiple times, and Cam and Chelsie voted Kimo out. (And along with that, Cam's last voting shoutout to his dawgs at the crib, from the Diary Room anyway.) Kimo and his blue flannel went out with hugs for all of course, and smiles for Julie and the audience, and she flubbed by overcounting his nominations by one. She then congratulated the final four for making that milestone, even though final three has been the true milestone goal since what, Season 11. But their tiny table for four is now due, so that's something. Julie told us the final veto comp will air on Sunday's show along with the HOH comp and (pointless) noms, and she said Jag will be on Thursday's fourth place eviction show to discuss the season.

Feeds came back at 9.24pm and it took a few minutes to figure out who'd won the HOH, but then Chelsie went to her favorite chisme camera to show us she had the key. She was obviously thrilled to have won this (her fourth HOH) and a ticket to the finale, and she said she'd wear the key even though she hadn't for her previous HOH weeks, but she wasn't celebrating loudly. Cam was gutted, presumably for losing another comp, and the three women said he's "going through it" as he laid down while they started dinner prep. When Chelsie was called to Diary, Rubina and Makensy talked about the dream of having all women as the final three. That agenda will be at odds with Chelsie and Cam's Week 1 alliance. I didn't hear anything yet about what the comp was, other than mentions of having an LED wall behind them for it. Rubina talked to herself/us in the pantry, saying she'd have loved to win but she was proud of herself for getting to final four, and for taking her losses along the way with grace, and being happy for whoever won (true).

Cam moped a little longer but perked up enough to join Makensy and Rubina to chat and snack. The three of them sat down to eat dinner and Chelsie came out of Diary midway through the meal to holler for the last HOH room time. The four went upstairs and heard Chelsie read her letter from sister Kennedy and they looked through all her goodies and food. And they learned noms would be tonight (so veto comp is probably tomorrow, since it'll be on Sunday's show).

Cam stayed behind, and Chelsie reminded him only the veto matters. Cam said he understood and would go on the block if she wants him to. She stressed that he's still her F2, and she asked who he'd evict if he wins veto. He said he thinks it'd be smarter to send Makensy. Rubina followed and Chelsie said Cam's definitely going up, and she needed to choose Rubina or Makensy to go up with him. Rubina said she wouldn't mind a break from going on the block and Chelsie said she'd ask Makensy if she'll go up with Cam. Chelsie then asked Makensy, who wasn't overjoyed but understood and said she'll do it, adding they're all basically on the block until veto. She asked Chelsie if she'd use veto on her if she wins, and Chelsie promised she would. Chelsie asked who she'd evict if she wins veto, and Makensy said she doesn't know yet. And Chelsie told her she and Cam went back and forth a lot today about whether to evict Kimo or Rubina, and he finally caved and said she got what she wanted.

Chelsie indeed nominated Cam and Makensy, making this the first time in eons that neither Angela, Kimo, or Rubina were nominated.

Day 81 - Friday - October 4, 2024

The day started slow and quiet. Cam was especially quiet, as he did some working out and maybe studying, or maybe kicking himself for losing again last night, or maybe psyching himself up so it doesn't happen again today. Feeds went to adoptable anipals a little after noon for their final veto comp, and maybe installation of the tiny table. The yard remained open so the comp will be in the indoor space or somewhere outside on the lot.

Noms and veto comp came early this week since both will be on Sunday's show. I don't know if any of them realize they won't have a veto meeting this week, since that will happen face-to-face on the eviction show. Chelsie might remember that detail but otherwise it'll be fun to watch them spiral when it doesn't happen as usual, especially after the rushed noms and comp. I suspect that eviction might be taped Wednesday since it'll be followed by the F3 memories meal which will air Friday, along with the start of Part 1. BB24 did fourth place eviction live on Thursday with the F3 clips show Friday and finale Sunday, but that's a lot to edit in not much time. And there were no audience tickets posted for next week. We'll find out when we find out.

Feeds came back a little before 3pm: Makensy won the final veto and a ticket to the finale. She, Chelsie, Rubina were discussing the comp in the kitchen, in colorful spandex bodysuit comp outfits, while Cam took to his bed, again. The comp involved season days/events with a visual component plus running back and forth. Apparently Cam went really fast but had some answers wrong, as did all three of them. And it sounded like he came in second and had a bad reaction to that, apparently shouting "FUCK" and walking away. The girls felt bad for him and were letting him be until he rebounds, like he does. I think Makensy told us in the pantry who she's evicting, but her mic was off. We heard her say something about $750k and "that's the plan Stan" but her plan remains a mystery, as of now.

The yard was closed again after their comp which they didn't like. Feeds then went back to anipals a little before 4pm so maybe they'll get some kind of special treat like they've been hoping for. Or maybe one of our unhitched alum couples will be out there for an engagement party. I kid, I kid. Feeds came back a little over an hour later and the tiny table for four had been installed. They were disappointed it wasn't something bigger, better, livelier, but realized they sounded ungrateful and they thanked BB for the new table. (In some prior seasons, getting that table was a goal in itself for some, since it represents the Final Four milestone in such a tangible way.) Cam was up and around after their HOH lockdown, foraging for snacks and humming to himself, on the mend again. Chelsie and Makensy talked a bit about Makensy's upcoming decision, with nothing finalized (out loud). They all ate dinner together at their new tiny table and HOH booze was opened. They critiqued their former roomies' photos, and roasted them per various categories, and they again wondered who the "Hacker" was.

4th juror - 11th evicted - Day 73

Easily the co-star of the season, alongside Tucker (for different reasons), but she lasted a lot longer than he did. She won two HOHs and a veto, she was on the block seven times, and others veto'd her off it an unprecedented three times. She marched back and forth in the yard overnight for 9.5 hours, including a lot of full goop treatments, and she held up a marshmallow skewer overnight for 9.75 hours. That resumé would win many seasons, but a lot of them didn't like her. She added layers of drama, tantrums, self-deprecating humor, paranoia, kindness, a whole lot of crying, and a game strategy that mostly consisted of 'I want to be here.' She was often loyal and often not, and she was both a pleasure and a chore to watch, depending on the day, and she polarized viewers like few others. She proved that the older woman slot in the casting formula doesn't have to be a doomed early boot, or a dud.

Leah Peters - 26

3rd juror - 10th evicted - Day 73

She was a social chameleon and she wasn't in many real alliances, but she had F2s (or close enough) with Lisa, Kenney, Quinn, Brooklyn, Joseph, Makensy, and Angela. She was often fun, often annoying, and a unique personality that the edits unfortunately overlooked for the first half of the season. Things that irk me with most were endearing with her, like wearing the veto necklace or HOH robe all the time, not to mention her Jankie World toy tiara. Cam liked her but Chelsie liked Cam so that got complicated, so she switched to Tucker but he liked Rubina. Both Joseph and Quinn liked her but she kinda liked Quinn, eventually. She often talked nonstop about herself, sprinkled liberally with 'like' and 'literally,' and she came across as being ditzy but she was smarter and savvier than she seemed, and she reminded them of that often. Her bond with Angela was fun to watch as it developed, and then they went out on the same night.

T'kor Clottey - 23
Instagram - Instagram 2
Has a boyfriend - Survivor applicant?
Crochet business owner
Atlanta, GA (orig Chicago, IL/London, UK)

2nd juror - 9th evicted - Day 66

She bonded with Kimo and Rubina early on, and the trio quickly became inseparable. That's heartwarming to see but a voting block of three is a big threat in this game. She was seen as their leader but she was beloved by everyone so it took awhile for her to hit the block. When she finally did, she didn't take it well and withdrew back into her self-described shell, and didn't fight hard enough to stay. She got Tucker out on her HOH, but he would have been a useful ally for her if he'd stayed. She and Kimo had excellent reads on the game and their fellow players throughout, but they didn't do much with those reads besides stealth-whisper to each other a lot. In Week 4 they orchestrated a vote flip but later denied doing so, even to each other. She's accomplished a lot in life at a young age and I have no doubt she'll continue to do so, and I wish her well.

Won: Deep Fake HOH/used Week 4; Viewers' nominee Week 3

HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/1/1 - HN 1

Quinn Martin - 25
Twitter - Instagram
Single - fan applicant/RHAP listener
Nurse recruiter
Omaha, NE (orig Lawton, OK)

1st juror - 8th evicted - Day 59

He was a different kind of superfan, having seen episodes and RHAP podcasts, but no feeds. He got the best power this show's ever handed out on Day 2, but blabbed it to two people, so by the time he used it everyone knew and the fun was spoiled. That week he put his ally Cedric on the block and he went home, and later he put his ally Joseph on the block, and he went home. But he was allied with nearly everyone at some point, with F2s all over town, and he blew up alliances like it was a hobby. He continually thought he had everyone in his pocket, unaware his pocket had a huge gaping hole and couldn't hold anything. He shouted in Diary but was light and fun much of the time, even when his game was tanking, so props for that. He fell hard for Leah and made 'googleah' eyes at her, and his 'sick nasty' speech to her was instant inspiration for a million memes.

Won: 24 hours solitary

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/1/0 - HN 1

Joseph Rodriguez - 30 31
Twitter - Instagram
Single - fan applicant/feedster
Video store clerk
Tampa, FL

7th evicted - Day 52

He brought a lot of unintentional comedy as he deluded himself about his power and influence, and he proclaimed himself 'star of the show' in one solo talk to himself/us. To his credit, his intentional comedy was every bit as good, although his dry sense of humor wasn't appreciated by some. He had a BB birthday that helped him settle in better socially, and he became the eighth hamster to get 24 hours in solitary. Three of those won their seasons but not this time. Joseph had extra chatty, holographic mini-Matt for company, and he said later he used his toilet tent for extracurricular purposes. He apologized to Angela after being brutally honest about her game, and he acknowledged he had some self-work to do about his 'mean streak.' I'll miss him, and wish him nothing but the best. Props to his siblings and friends for running the best hamster-adjacent socials we've ever seen.

Won: $20,000; Weeks 2 & 3 AI Arena; 1 week AI Assist; Week 6 AI Instigator

HOH 1 - Veto 3 - Noms 2/0/2 - HN 1

Tucker Des Lauriers - 30
Twitter - Instagram
Single - recruit
Marketing and sales exec
Brooklyn, NY (orig Boston, MA)

6th evicted - Day 45

He demolished two AI Arenas and was the first pre-juror to win three vetos in a row(!), along with an HOH. All that plus his boasting made him most everyone's target but he seemed to relish that spot (along with puzzles and biscuits). He was a welcome change from the usual 'comp beast' type, often showing compassion and empathy, and shedding tears over missing his min pin Ziggi. He fell in love with Rubina, and was often loud, sometimes obnoxious, frequently funny, and he usually owned whatever room he was in, including Diary. His gameplay was reckless and unpredictable, nearly always leaving chaos in his wake. He was that extremely rare breed of hamster: a hard gamer, often a good one (sometimes horrible), while being entertaining. He will be missed.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 1/0/0 - HN 0

Brooklyn Rivera - 34
Twitter - Instagram
Married with kids - fan applicant
Business administrator
Dallas, TX (orig Covington, GA)

5th evicted - Day 38

She brought us a number of classic shockfaces for various blindsides, and she said 'this doesn't quite feel like Big Brother' when she was on the block and on her way out. I beg to differ. She confessed her sports dancer secret to Quinn (who told several), her Mrs America secret to Chelsie (who didn't), but I don't think she told anyone she's friends with Aaryn. Thanks to Cam, she provided a fun Michael Jackson side game out here for her last couple weeks. She never tired of saying she wanted a married mother to win this season, so I guess we can assume she'll be rooting from home for Angela.

Won: Week 1 mascot/can't compete or vote

HOH 1 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0/1 - HN 0

Cedric Hodges - 21
Twitter - Instagram
Single - recruit
Former Marine
Boise, ID (orig Running Springs, CA)

4th evicted - Day 31

He prepped by watching analysis clips and didn't see any full seasons so he had an unusual balance of BB lore and knowledge. He was a good sport about being sidelined Week 1 and he used that time well, becoming well-liked by all of them. 'Young Cedric' was an ongoing, evolving skit and his own elaborate life stories usually had them and us in stitches. Between expecting volunteers for the block and painting himself into a no-win corner between his various alliances, his HOH was a disaster. Then he volunteered to be a pawn the following week and learned the meaning of 'pawns go home.' He was funny, genuine, wise and mature beyond his years, and he'll be missed.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Noms 3/0/0 - HN 0

Kenney Kelley - 52
Instagram
Married with kids - fan applicant
Former undercover cop
Boston, MA

3rd evicted - Day 24

He adopted Matt and lost him fast, then he won a veto, and the rest of the time he said he wanted to quit. He rallied a bit at the end when he teamed up with Cedric and Tucker, adding Cam when he walked in on them, but that got blown up immediately. He mostly sat by himself and shouted out his family, or he complained to others about missing them, so they sent him back to them.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 1 - Noms 2/0/0 - HN 1

Lisa Weintraub - 33
Twitter - Twitter 2 - Instagram - Instagram 2
Single - recruit?
Celebrity chef
Los Angeles, CA

2nd evicted - Day 17

She's a legit chef/caterer and ran that into the ground, along with sprinkling edible glitter on everyone's food whether they wanted it or not. Tucker's rants about her were an early highlight, and she crumbled after Angela mocked her walk and called her a twit. Props for winning the first veto (rare for a woman), but she wasn't cut out for this setting. Most of that was simply being a bad roommate: she made (and wasted) food they didn't want, dabbed non-consensual essential oil on her roomies' pillows, propped filthy feet on food surfaces, and she never tired of telling everyone what a special and unique person she was.

Won: Nothing

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0/1 - HN 0

Matt Hardeman - 25
Single - recruit?
Twitter - Instagram
Tech sales rep
Roswell, GA (orig Loganvilla, GA)

1st evicted - Day 10

He filled the pretty boy/brojock casting slot perfectly but didn't like Angela pointing that out openly and immediately. He was adamant about not being 'that guy' and to his credit, he did talk a lot against toxic masculinity. He cried after Angela yelled at him, but went out in high spirits with ginormous smiles for Julie.

Won: Control of the game

HOH 0 - Veto 0 - Noms 0/0/0 - HN 0

Ainsley/AInsley - 24
Surf shop worker
San Diego, CA

She lost two votes to join as #17 so reverted to her robotic persona aka Artificial Intelligence Network Self-Learning Entity, and became a comp host.

GAME TWISTS

-First and second move-in groups of eight voted against letting Ainsley join as 17th player, and each group played comps based on their votes.

-Losers Cedric, Chelsie were Week 1 mascots: couldn't compete for HOH or veto, couldn't vote, could be nominated.

-Makensy won America's Veto: once in first four weeks, she can remove someone from the block and viewers will instant-vote the replacement. She used it Week 3 after she went up as veto renom.

-Quinn won Deep Fake HOH: once in first four weeks, the HOH's AI avatar will announce noms Quinn secretly picked, and he can spread misinfo and rumors via that fake avatar. He used it Week 4 to take over Angela's 2nd HOH (everyone knew about it).

-Weeks 1 thru 7: HOH picked three nominees, and veto renom if applicable. The three competed live in AI Arena before the vote, and the winner came off the block.

-Week 6: Viewer vote to pick someone for AI Instigator (Tucker), who could spread rumors via others' AI avatars. A second vote determined how much cash he won ($20k).

-Week 9: Jankie World: everyone lived outside in a carnival setting, with carnival food and periodic signals to sing and dance.
