He later said he got through the letter okay but he cried in Diary when they asked him about it.This morning, Turner asked Michael how to make the slop palatable, and of course Michael told/showed him. Turner told him how he'd woken up covered in pool cues and other debris last night, and Michael said he'd heard the clatter. Monte held his pre-nom meetings, and he told non-Leftovers he was looking at who hadn't been on the block yet. He said he wouldn't put up Brittany/Michael because Michael had already been up too often and it's his birthday week. He said he wouldn't put up Jasmine/Turner because Jasmine wasn't 100% yet, she passed out last week, and they're Have-nots. He said he wouldn't put up Kyle/Daniel because he likes Kyle, and he and Daniel had good talks during Daniel's HOH so losing either of them could be bad for him going forward. And Alyssa/Indy hadn't had an opportunity to play in a veto comp yet. He told most of them his target is Taylor, keeping up the Leftovers' ruse of pretending to target her. Nicole was on attempted damage control all over town, but kept digging her hole deeper. Her entitlement to win the season alternated with excuses for her behavior last night and back again, ever showing her ignorance of what really happened this week. She told Monte she was glad they didn't tell her they were going to evict Ameerah "I think I would have had a fuckin breakdown." Fact check: she did have a breakdown but it was because they hadn't told her. She said "that comp was mine" about last night's HOH. Fact check: apparently not because Monte won. Upon hearing the fake pawn plan, she said "now I feel better that I didn't overreact yesterday." Fact check: if last night wasn't overreacting, heaven help us if/when she does. She offered an apology to Taylor, and used that word (Daniel didn't for his), but it was clearly insincere and self-serving. And she talked about girl code and empowering women and etc to Alyssa, Indy, Jasmine, who agreed Nicole was lying to them, and they even noticed her body language. Nicole later told Daniel that Monte had let his guard down with her so she baited him a bit, adding "I don't think he realized he took the bait.. now I'm gonna play that card and do whatever he fuckin wants because he's HOH." It's the combo of extreme arrogance and complete cluenessness for me. Pass the popcorn please. Monte told Alyssa and Indy separately that they'd probably be going up as pawns to backdoor Taylor, and the reasons they were the default duo from his available choices. Both Alyssa and Indy took it well and stayed calm but later Alyssa got sniffly when she told Kyle she'd be going up. She told him she was going to shower so she'd look semi-decent since she'll be a focal point this afternoon, and she argued when he said she looks good all the time, before they circled back to the usual flirty giggling. Jasmine began to settle into being a Have-not, asking Alyssa and Indy to show her how to make the "fried rice" slop, and announcing she always gains weight when she doesn't eat. Kyle played along with that one, asking "how does that work?" She said her back hurt from sleeping on the floatie and she returned to being horizontal in her usual bed in Jetsons room, so Have-not doesn't seem like it'll be affecting her daily routine much. Brittany said she thinks Taylor's nice, and added she hadn't talked much game with her but she was trying to make an effort so she doesn't feel excluded. When Nicole asked if she trusts Taylor, Brittany said no. Jasmine said she think everyone's probably great people outside the game and "we don't want anyone to feel excluded, no." Wow. But Jasmine did show a bit of growth when she added "I know how to separate personal -- well I thought I did, I thought I knew how to separate personal and game, I thought I was smarter than that but this isn't what I was expecting." Jasmine finally met with Monte, who was eating as he talked with her. He said he'd only suggested pawning Alyssa to "two people" (Daniel and Nicole), so one or both of them leaked that to Alyssa because she approached Monte by suggesting that plan. At this point it's unclear to me if this week's actual target will be Nicole, Daniel, or Alyssa, but it will depend on who wins veto anyway. And Monte has already mentioned taking into account the surviving nominee twist as a factor, depending which duo that person would join. Bull's eyes are being successfully painted on a lot of backs though - again, pass that popcorn. Monte nominated Alyssa and Indy as planned, with a speech that indicated they weren't his actual targets. Apparently production asked at noms if they're cold and everyone said YES! Brittany wrapped herself in a comforter and roamed around giggling, hoping BB would give them more blankets. (Or, you know, maybe turn down the a/c a notch.) Monte and Joseph agreed Nicole might be the better target this week because she plays so hard and her game is "brute force," depending how veto plays out. They also laughed at how the other side thinks both Joseph and Kyle are full-time idiots. Nicole cried to Michael in the pantry that she thinks she's going home, she's not safe, and Taylor must have promised Monte something. Kyle had been hiding in a cupboard in there to jumpscare, and was finally found out after Nicole had ranted for some time. Taylor and Brittany's reactions to Michael's retells of that were pretty great. Evening was extremely quiet, with mostly chit-chat in various groups on various topics, and not a lot of gametalk. After less than 24 hours on slop, Jasmine announced she was weak and didn't think she'd be able to play for veto if picked. Brittany had another attack of the sads but slept it off in HOH. Alyssa had a long friendly chat with Taylor which made a nice change, even if it was due to Alyssa being on the block. Alyssa flirted with (pestered) Kyle a lot. Several of them napped here and there, and several said they'd go to bed early tonight. But they say that every night and at least some of them are always up til 3, 4, 5am. Leftovers less Brittany met in HOH after non-members exited a bigger group gathering. They exchanged notes of the day's conversations including another retell of Kyle-in-the-cupboard, and they agreed everything's on hold til the veto winners are known. And they dragged Nicole across the coals for her ongoing entitlement, and nasty comments and behavior. I couldn't do this without you guys ♥ Day 23 - Thursday - July 28, 2022Last night Alyssa licked Kyle's arm while playing Chinese checkers, so there's that. Nicole shmoozed Terrance over coffee, and taught him how to make omelettes, and told him Ameerah was in good spirits and it still seemed certain he'd be going. Reminder, last night Terrance saw through Nicole's shmooze for what it was, and he learned from Turner that he'll be staying, though Turner didn't give him the how/why/who details. The scramble continued this morning for who will vote how in order to boot Ameerah so Leftovers could remain unexposed to the rest of them, and a plan was devised and spread by Joseph to expose Po's Pack in a process which would include Taylor telling Terrance she'd overheard talk about it. Taylor did that, and Terrance reported to Joseph, and later to Turner, and Kyle (all of whom were in on it), and he said he didn't appreciate Nicole and Daniel making a big deal of his "last breakfast." Terrance also peptalked Ameerah who said she wasn't sure she'd stay and Terrance said he was sure, and he was looking forward to seeing his wife. Ameerah reported that to Michael and Jasmine. Jasmine was told to start using her ankle, walking etc, and she was given a cane but she still had her scooter. Joseph helped her learn to use it to descend the stairs after HOH lockdown. Jasmine learned from Ameerah that endurance comps often last hours. The pre-show recap was pretty accurate and leaned on the Taylor bashing, which led into the veto meeting with Turner calling out the "dogpiling" onto one person, and saying "as the youngest one in the house I shouldn't be the one to say that's not okay, but here I am," and then putting up Ameerah/Terrance in place of Brittany/Michael. Unfortunately they squeezed the beautiful Monday afternoon Leftovers dance of brilliant BB into a couple minutes but hey, that's why we watch feeds. Ameerah was evicted 7-4, with Alyssa, Indy, Nicole, Jasmine being the dissenters. Nicole had a major shockface that lasted til after Ameerah was out the door, and I saw Alyssa open-mouthed as well. Everyone was awkwardly silent for the hugs-and-exit phase, with Leftovers looking surprised and confused - acting! Julie quizzed Ameerah about who she thought was behind her eviction, almost cruelly, before telling her about Leftovers, and she reminded Ameerah she'd said the game was too easy. Julie announced to them and us that the surviving nominee each week can pick the Besties team they want to join. Terrance went with Joseph/Monte so they're now a trio. The new expanded Bestie teams will also be safe for the week if one is HOH, they'll get nominated together (with one evicted), and play for veto together. The HOH comp was The Invitation, a cross-promo for an upcoming movie of the same name. Julie gave a plot summary and showed the trailer, and then started them on the comp. 1,500 envelopes rained down on them and they had to hunt through and rip open envelopes to find one of eight red invitations. The first eight to find a red invite and claim a spot on the porch would move on to the second stage of the comp. As of the end of the show Jasmine, Terrancy, Brittany had secured a spot to compete for HOH in Part 2. Feeds came back at 8.47pm and Monte had won the HOH, meaning both Joseph and Terrance are also safe this week. Many were still in shock and wondering what happened with the vote (and many were not). Michael told us in the pantry "now it's time to act, and lie" and Leftovers kicked that in like they did Monday after veto meeting. Joseph asked Terrance who he thought the votes were, and Terrance answered accurately. The Po's Pack leak ruse took root, with Michael and Kyle shared a check-in about Nicole saying it was Alyssa who leaked it, and Kyle said "okay so we just play on that." Nicole and Daniel check-in both said they thought something was up but didn't know what. Brittany told Nicole before the vote she was changing hers, and Michael told both Daniel and Nicole that he had evicted Ameerah. They agreed "they're all in on it, the guys." Nicole was big mad and just revved herself up more the more she talked. She said "it just sucks I didn't get to say good-bye" to Ameerah, and she claimed Monte made her tell Terrance he'd be going, and cry to him about it. Reminder, Nicole demanded she be the one to do that, and she announced to nearly everyone that she was going to. Her lack of tact continued to be astounding when she told Alyssa "I viewed Ameerah as the #1 female in this house and I viewed myself as #2." Her lack of BB understanding was also something else: "they've done something that no other alliance has ever done in his game, in Big Brother history, they created a pact of people to make you think you're safe and say I got your back, and then this happens." She blamed Taylor of course, both directly and roundabout, including saying Taylor's still there "because she did exactly what they told her to do." Jasmine asked "who is they though?" and Nicole said "exactly." Monte's card said last week's Have-nots were to pick the next ones. Nobody volunteered, so they named the ones who hadn't done it yet. Indy said she wouldn't pick Jasmine because of the stairs but that left Brittany/Michael. They decided not to pick them because Monday is Michael's birthday (and oh, he's already done it). That left Jasmine and Turner. Turner was fine with it but Jasmine was not. She was big mad and went to her old room. Nicole laid on her and told her it'll be okay, she'll make slop dishes for her, and etc. Alyssa was annoyed Kyle hadn't told her how he was voting, and that he'd told Taylor things before telling her. Through it all, Leftovers kept up their lying and shmoozing, and reporting to each other. Nicole kept whipping herself into more frenzies every time she held a conversation. She asked Indy to tell her who she trusts, and she said Alyssa, Jasmine, Joseph. She didn't say she distrusts Nicole per se but said there was some issue with Daniel earlier in the week and they're close. Nicole said "that's him, not me" and said she trusts Daniel, Terrance, Jasmine. (Oops, Terrance is on to her in a big way.) Later Nicole told Daniel that Indy had just lied to her because she omitted Monte in her trust list. Later Joseph had a long convo with Indy - he'd been working doubletime making rounds tonight, and later Indy sat alone crying. Terrance asked Nicole about the lamb and she popped off on him: "I'm at that point where I'm nobody's bitch, so if you want somebody to cook for you and clean for you and do your things, why don't you just be a little bit more honest about the shit they're doing?" And "I'm not gonna be fuckin somebody's mother because they can't even fuckin wipe their own ass!" (Um, hasn't she told them for three weeks she's the mom of the house? And didn't she wipe Jasmine's ass after she hurt her ankle?) Nicole told Monte and Terrance she wants to talk to them (Monte) but Taylor always barges in. Their reaction when she left said it all. In non-angry, non-angsty news, Joseph, Kyle, Taylor buried a sleeping and snoring Turner in pool cues, chess pieces, Cheez-Its, cups, cans, sunglasses, random house decor items, and styrofoam tiki men. That's the kind of content I'm really here for. Monte was called to Diary around 1.30am but I bailed about then. He probably got his room shortly after. I'll catch that up tomorrow for the booze tally below.
