I don't care who wins, I'm just here for the cheap entertainment.. the cheaper, the better
This site is about the Big Brother 15 feeds and contains spoilers! It isn't necessarily thorough: it's what I catch and/or what interests me, and it isn't necessarily about who will win, who should win, who's cute or who's horrid. It's about watching hamsters: who's doing what and why. If they aren't entertaining, get rid of 'em! Thanks for encouraging my behavior. Your pal, dingo

CBS shows are Sundays 8pm, Wednesdays 8pm, eviction Thursdays 9pm (changed from Tuesdays, live Wednesdays, Sundays).

Big Brother After Dark is on TVGN for two hours every night starting at midnight/9pm BB time (1 hour later Thursdays), and is censored. Beginning July 19, BBAD runs three hours on Fridays.

Canada runs the TV episodes on Global, and After Dark on Slice, uncensored.

Jury will be nine members, with two finalists.

Weeks 1, 2, 3: The MVP (Elissa) selected the third nominee, privately, and she didn't have to tell anyone she was MVP. If the MVP's nominee won veto, MVP selected the replacement.

Weeks 4, 5, 6: The MVP vote was to name the third nominee directly. If the viewer pick was HOH or and HOH nominee, the third nominee spot went to next highest vote getter.

BB15 prizes are the same: $500k for the winner and $50k for 2nd place. Stipend for the others is $1,000 per week (up from $750), including pre-show hotel and jury sequester. Elissa gets more.

The habitat has 65 cameras (up 12) and 98 microphones (same).

The recorded in-house announcements are the voice of producer Don Wollman.

Calm after the storm (Wednesday 8/14)

Jessie continued her apology tour and attempted clean-up with those she targeted yesterday, even though there'd been no real damage done: she was going to be evicted before Tropical Storm Jessie made landfall and she's still going to be evicted.. she asked again to be warned ahead of time if she'll be walking the plank tomorrow, but they continued to let her have hope

When they were locked inside for another apparatus building overnight lockdown, she bid a sad farewell to "my dream backyard, my dream"

Aaryn prepared a lot of food and Have-nots ate at midnight, but no booze delivery this time.. elaborate plans for the coming week were laid by most, but we know how those things go: they yack and yack, and then second-guess themselves anyway

Sorry Hamsterwatchers, but my time here will be curtailed from here on out as I was notified today I lost my paying work.. the State of California has decreed that the New York company I do piece work for must class their California workers as employees rather than contractors, which would cost them more time & money than is worthwhile for them.. usually I work extra after BB ends to make up some lost summer income, but I've got to start the hustle now.. the feeds haven't been giving me much to work with anyway

Tropical Storm Jessie (Tuesday 8/13)

Jessie made good on her threats, beginning her day by frying up some fragrant bacon to spite the Have-nots.. she started calling Helen "Liar" and Elissa "Rachel's shadow", and she made some very pointed digs in particular to Aaryn as well, including saying she's always "scowly".. some of Jessie's lines were hilarious and some hit their marks, but her targets kept talking about how it didn't bother them - like you do when something doesn't bother you?

McCrae, Spencer & Amanda said she could do better, and McCrae requested booze because he knows what we like (even if he hasn't been all that effective at delivering it himself).. the camera came out for equally posed and awkward pics

0

Yet another wedding

Despite the fact that McCrae & Amanda already got BB married (flashback 8/1 1am), preparations kicked in for the formal ceremony that was postponed from last night.. Amanda styled a sheet into a dress that actually came out pretty good, she and Aaryn laid out an altar and aisle from towels lined with duckies, Aaryn & Elissa fussed over assorted roles and details, and McCrae kept saying he didn't really want to do it

Unfortunately for us, Jessie chose to take the high road and made a pre-wedding apology tour rather than becoming an all-time memorable hamster.. the only yelling was from Amanda before the ceremony for being kept waiting and for only one bottle of wine being delivered

The big event started around 10.20pm and was a lovely and funny affair.. Andy officiated in a vampire cloak plus bandana ensemble, the groom wore his comp jumpsuit with his usual hat, the bridesmaids wore coordinated sheet togas and tossed mung beans, and the bride looked lovely in her sheet gown with hair by Elissa and makeup by GinaMarie.. McCrae's selected Bible quotes were wildly inappropriate, they exchanged rings and impromptu vows, and a good time was had by most.. "mother of the groom" Helen gave a speech, the (sugar) glass was stomped, and they were BB wed

More later, maybe

0

No veto for you (Monday 8/12)

Andy did not use his veto, so the plan to send Jessie out on Thursday is still in place and probably won't change at the last minute like last week.. I expect a lot of campaigning from her over the next few days, and the others probably won't tell her it's wasted breath and to just enjoy her time

Amanda & McCrae continue to hump at night and lay around with each other all day, while telling others they aren't playing BB together.. their second wedding is scheduled for later today or tonight.. apparently Diary told Amanda they want to run the engagement, bachelor/ette parties and wedding as a package.. they neglected to have a camera on bride & groom for their first nuptials back on August 1

Helenspeak continues in most everything she says.. she takes on a distinct tone and it's not hard to translate the words she's saying into what she really means.. for instance, she's been working on Jessie to ensure she isn't swayed by Judd once she gets to the jury house.. she's one of the best we've seen at conveying subliminal messages and subtext since BB13 Shelly, but most of them in there and many out here continue to believe the words rather than the intended message behind them - her political background is serving her well.. update: WAS serving her well

Most of the afternoon & evening was a whole lot of not much, until there was a Jessie vs Helen confrontation in several rounds - flashback 8/12 10.53pm for the first.. as always, the various retells lasted far longer than the incident itself, but it revved up again for a few more rounds - flashback 8/12 11.23pm, 11.33pm, and 8/13 12.40am, 1.12am.. amidst all of that, Elissa asked Jessie if she was on meds (huh??), and a big deal was made of "kissing strategy"

Jessie realized she's a goner, and she told Spencer & GinaMarie "my plan of action, in a very ladylike manner, is to blow everybody's shit out of the water... make everybody hate each other".. that kicked in as GinaMarie reported to Aaryn, they got in a fight, and then GinaMarie called a house meeting to hash it out - flashback 8/13 2.52am.. meanwhile Elissa said they should focus on starving children instead and having babies is hard, or something, and Helen said Judd might come to Chicago to kill her

As always, you don't have to take my word for any of this: get the feeds to watch everything unfold as it happens.. you can click "previous Hamsterwatch episode" at the top of any page to see what came before, and feel free to click the Amazon.com banner up there for any of your Amazon purchases anytime

Ratings - Go Jessie edition

Ratings are based on entertainment value, and largely revolve around Tropical Storm Jessie

I got nothing.

She's the biggest one to keep saying she doesn't care but she clearly does, as evidenced by Monday night's continual loops about how much she doesn't care while getting more and more upset about it all. Jessie telling her she always looks 'scowly' was a direct hit that won't be soon forgotten.

Won: 50 shades of orange
She was about as far away from being a blushing bride as one can get, but she ended up having a decent BB wedding despite all her yelling and cussing moments before. I blame her for putting out Jessie's fire and while it might have been the best thing overall for them, it certainly killed our fun.

HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD
Whenever the fur starts to fly, he acts like he's ready to hide out in HOH til they kick him out. But let's not forget, he could have easily avoided all of this and had a nice few days if he'd just been open with Jessie rather than attempting to go for a big blindside eviction. Also, big blindsides are a better idea before jury begins.. I'm just sayin'. He did a pretty good job officiating at the wedding, but he's definitely no Lawon.

Won: Sit out 1 veto comp
Since deciding to take her at face value for the comedy, her stock has done nothing but climb for me. Comparing a BB snit-fest to world hunger is perhaps the dumbest thing we've heard in 15 seasons plus Canada, and that's saying something. Not to mention 'try having a baby in a hospital'.

Won: 48 hour cone of shame
Her lack of awareness as to how she's perceived is mind-boggling, but kudos for bringing things out in the open when challenged, and also for continuing to be Elissa's only yoga student and for putting the effort into it.

Won: 2 night curfew, BBQ party
She's played a very good social game thus far but it's in real jeopardy now, since her skills are all offensive. She has zero defensive moves whatsoever, and it's showing. Sorry Helen, but this is not the stuff that bring death threats from the wackos and continuing to repeat that just makes you look wacko. This is however the stuff we watch feeds for.

NOMINATED
Big ups for delivering what so many threaten but very few deliver. I only wish she'd stuck with it a bit longer.

Won: $5,000
Easy ups for requesting booze for what would/could/should have been a feeds daydrinking day for the ages, and for continuing to wonder how he can get Jessie to leave him her remaining cigs, both of which just point out the absurdity of all of this.

Won: 24 hour megaphone, Bahamas trip
NOMINATED
The perma-pawn is trying to keep a low profile through all of this, and rightly so, since the thought of keeping Jessie as a surer perma-pawn than him has come up more than once now. He keeps getting cornered and detained by Helen, and her endless retells to him are a good start to the payback he's got coming.

Won: $5,000, 24 hour solitary
He was one of the most liked and funniest hamsters we've had in ages and his eviction blindsided us as much as him. Amanda's paranoia about MVP did him in, along with his own real and fake alliances, and Helen realizing that he was on to her. J-U-Double-D Party Daugherty will be fondly remembered for becoming King Judd with his HOH, his quick wit and constant one-liners, his (formerly) lucky bear shirt, and his distinctive way of speaking. His eviction was the reality equivalent of the Red Wedding.
My pre-season prediction:
Most likely to be a sleeper fan favorite: hated at first, loved later
Maybe not so hated except by those who needed a decoder ring, but definitely loved later

Won: $5,000, 1 week clown suit
She laid around with Howard until he left, and then she mostly laid around by herself. She still managed to figure in many of the fights, including one during the veto comp and one during her own eviction. I think a lot of their problems with her started before the feeds did, but it's fair to say she egged it on as well. She'll be remembered for tragic life stories, being the Mad Hatter sitting on hats (or not), Keepin' It Real With Candie, her crab shack story, meeting Julie in a clownitard, and the #BlameCandice hashtag game.
My pre-season prediction:
Most likely to say she's there 'for the experience'
I don't know if she said that much or not.

Won: Nothing
He was eloquent and animated in Diary but we didn't get that guy on the feeds. Instead he mostly laid around with Candice, held Bible study in the coach seats, and prayed in the photo booth. He isolated Candice and himself, killing both of their games, and their combined lack of awareness foiled any chance for his 11th hour save plan to succeed. He gave sudden speeches that few understood, but he wore Candice's tassel earrings and Judd's crown equally well.
My pre-season prediction:
Most likely to parannoy, eventually
Fail - others freaked out for no reason more than he did

Won: Nothing
She was a caboose for the mean girl train and when she wasn't straddling Jeremy, she was laying around making out with him, including in her bestie's HOH bed whenever Aaryn stepped away. She took being widowed better than GinaMarie, but she had several days to prepare for it and seemed almost proud of making 'Big Brother history' by using her veto. Otherwise she brought eyebrow adventures, and apologies when she mouthed off, which is more than some.
My pre-season prediction:
Most likely to be intimidated, taken advantage of, and blindsided
Fail, although Jeremy's eviction did blindside her. Taken advantage of is subjective.

Won: Permanent Have-not pass
He claimed 1/16 Cherokee but he besmirched that heritage regularly, along with many others. He caused and starred in the big Winegate fight, smooched with Kaitlin while laying his hand on Aaryn's leg, wore a diaper, and mistakenly boasted he'd win every comp. He was a boy in a man's body, but his tattoos were nicer looking than most heavily tatted hamsters' have been. He'll be most remembered for being the asshat of BB15.
My pre-season prediction:
Most likely to get in a fight
Check.

Won: Nothing
He came in saying he hoped for stardom but it probably won't happen as a result of this show. Overnighters got to know his blue hoodie & cap well, and he was usually the last one to go to bed. That's usually good strategy but it didn't help him. The over-the-top character he played in pre-season interviews gave him a rough start with most, but he didn't stick long enough for us (me anyway) to get to know what he's really about.
My pre-season prediction:
Most likely to namedrop and be generally annoying
Subjective, but I'll take it.

Won: Nothing
He didn't bring much to the feeds and he seemed oblivious about how the show works, but those types are the ones who get blindsided and we always like to see that. The Aaryn & David Comedy Show was fun for a minute but all the controversy she fed took the fun out of that, so it's just as well he got gone early. Back to the beach and watching BB on the couch with mom.
My pre-season prediction:
Most likely to climb on stuff and be told 'Stop that!'
Check, first night of feeds.

Bigotgate oozed farther beyond our insulated BB world more than any prior scandal, going all the way to TMZ, CNN, The New York Times, and international news & media outlets. Aaryn Gries and GinaMarie Zimmerman were fired from real world jobs as a result of bigoted remarks on the BB15 feeds, Aaryn from two modeling contracts and GinaMarie from her pageant company. Spencer was investigated by local law enforcement for his bad joke, and his employer Union Pacific issued two statements about him. (Spencer is a union employee.)

Evel Dick Donato's Dick at Night show is back this summer on Vimeo, and he'll have special guests, former hamsters, plus a Catladies Corner segment with @Clio_the_Leo and @Catvanzyl!

Jeff Schroeder will be on The Bold and the Beautiful on August 27. Hayden Moss is on the next Survivor, and Rachel & Brendon will return to The Amazing Race.

Big Brother Canada has begun accepting cast applications for its second season. Big Brother Australia started up again July 29, and Big Brother UK kicked off June 13.

Jessie to Andy: What is going on with Helen and Elissa and me?

GinaMarie: Oh my god, there's an ant on the bed

Helen to Jessie: I'm not even going to fight with you because it's not worth my time - you're the one on the block
