Ivette won the final HOH and evicted JanelleThe Final Two covered up the new table so they wouldn't see the bad, evil money.. Big Brother really needs to make them uncover it and look at that money for the next four days.. they wouldn't let Howie make his jack shack out of the beds in the subway room - fair's fair
Janelle was a breath of fresh air I didn't see coming.. her pre-show pics & interviews made me think oh jeez it's the token blonde bimbo, and all the bikini & lingerie pics that turned up early on enforced that idea.. I changed my mind the first night of the feeds when she got a little sippy, played chess - well - and flirted up a storm with Michael.. he was making all kinds of moves across the table and out of the blue she said "he looks like Beavis" with an infectious laugh.. I knew I was going to like her then
She knew the other girls hated her, and watching her act up the ditz for them was intriguing.. you'd think she'd try to get them to like her instead of hating her more.. maybe it ultimately cost her the game but it was fun watching them wonder WTF she was about as they gradually caught on to her smarts
She wasn't very nice when Ashlea was still there, and she said some horrible things then & after, but far fewer & far less often than her adversaries.. most of the time she was finding or making the fun, smiling & laughing while the coven grimaced & growled
I wanted to see her as the Kill Bill heroine, to triumph over those mean girls and satisfy our craving for justice, and she took out a few of them.. even though the last two booted her out in the end, she's still the winner in my eyes, and most fans tooShe had two rounds of high octane flirting with Kaysar (even though both deny it, anyone watching those late nights could feel it).. she had a first date with Michael that lasted four days, and a really cool friendship with Howie that was a joy to watch day after day.. the Force is strong in this one Howie, and Jedi Janey didn't let us down
But I think the best thing about watching Janelle is her ability to laugh at herself - we never saw her embarassed even though she did some very embarassing things - as well as the strength she showed by never cracking even when she was left with only those who hated her.. she was a gem in there and I'm glad she shared herself with us

Back at the habitat, the day plays out as scripted even though some of us didn't want to see it comingIvette gets up first and plays solitaire awhile before greeting Maggie with an awkward looking hug.. they chat the same ol' same ol' then they & Janelle are locked into HOH for a good 3½ hours while the crew plays Set Up Game Booths in the living room.. they're out 5 minutes, grab something to eat & drink, and they have to go to the backyard for another half hour lockdown.. way to treat your stars on crunch night, producers
They're all stressing and the primp-a-thon is rushed.. Janelle doesn't pack her swag
She cycles through her wardrobe options, like she does.. I guess the black eviction dress didn't make it
I really didn't think this would be the last time we see Janelle.. I guess I was in denial of the inevitable.. same thing happened to me with last year's 3rd placeLooking through today's caps I find Maggie doing a "see no evil".. I guess I was doing the same.. Ivette sends Janelle off to Julie's boudoir and that's that
The feeds return after Maggie's near-moon, and she's aware of it.. "my buttcrack just showed" are her first words - she seems stoic, while Ivette's all over the emotional map

There's all kinds of Diary audio slippage and we hear Ivette request dinner from Chili's or Chevy's, or Chili's.. they're given the requisite champagne and they sip over the tablecloth that's over the money they were cheering about a minute ago
Ivette (in Diary): You guys didn't think I'd make this far did you? I'm still here!!
They change into comfies.. Maggie does some fancy maneuvering under her sweater
Maggie doesn't look all that happy to me.. nervous almost.. food arrives and it helps

The rest of the night is quiet, with a somewhat ominous undertone
They're spooked by the emptiness & quiet of the house, and the noises of the "rats" (crew) behind the walls.. Maggie thinks she hears something outside the front door
They hammock awhile but decide not to sleep out there.. they talk about everyone and everything up til now, again.. Maggie seems nervous or something, her voice is very high and she's talking fast.. Ivette keeps saying things about Janelle being a good player, that she actually is quite pretty, and the like.. Maggie doesn't seem to like that
Ivette mentions jury questioning.. Maggie doesn't know anything about it and seems surprised.. she wants to know what it means, how it will work
They talk a lot about how they made it to Final Two, and congratulate themselves on this move or that strategy, but it isn't a happy joyous night.. the rest here is just snippets from convos after the show ended til they went to bed.. there's some interesting stuff here, much of it between the lines, as usual
There seems to be a general tone from Ivette that says "I did it!" and a general tone from Maggie that says "We did it!"
Maggie: There is no HOH.. that's such a cool like, thing

They also leave audio on when Maggie goes in to pee

They talk about Rachel being sneaky, listening in but don't mention Ivette on the balcony

   Where to start on Friday's show? I don't think they had a clue who would win or who they'd take so edits were interesting: Janelle came across as smart & strong but her chess convo with Ivette looked like she was more manipulative than she was, and left out Ivette's heartfelt gratitude for the chat. Ivette was mostly accurate as the mix she is, urging Janelle on the spinner, 'America thinks I'm horrible', and loyal to her promise to Maggie even as she was torn over it. Maggie came across as a dummy on the padlocks and a ditz in Diary, but how they dared air that total farce of a farewell to Janelle from Ms Morality without ever airing any of her constant hate-speech is beyond me. As predicted, the reshoot of the safe opening was what aired, sans excitement or 'it's a car!' of course, but Julie shocked me by asking Janelle 'Are you saying she chose friendship over money??' in an unbelieving, derisive tone.. doesn't hubby's network run hours of dramas, comedies & movies every week preaching those values?? I'll admit to a decent exit interview that actually talked about the game, and Janelle had the last laugh on them all by being poised, quick & confident after she'd come out of the FOTH smiling.Late add: I forgot to mention the over-budget Eric count in the show: his segment, his kids (get them off camera! what's wrong with that man?), his name in a comp question instead of Week Number, 'who do you miss/who do you not' for guaranteed Eric mentions, etc etc etc. CBS Martyred Fireman Hero Campaign continues to the bitter, bitter end. |

   HEAD of HOUSEHOLDThe HOH room is closed and there's no more noms or silly comps to host, but I'm keeping her title here til it's over cuz Maggie's tried to take it already by saying 'There is no HOH'. Ivette did well tonight and earned her ups, even more so cuz she was certain she couldn't do it, and because she did it alone in 2 comps but Maggie kept saying 'we did it'. She made what most consider a foolish decision (including Julie) but I'm not sure she won't get more votes, and I hope she does. She's fought and scrambled and screamed to get here and she dragged Maggie with her who did next to nothing. I can't fault her for keeping a promise made sincerely: it is more important than money and she'll be able to live with herself. She kept talking up Janelle's game and self tonight but Maggie wasn't into it, she didn't want to hear it even after her pretty Diary speech.. I haven't liked Ivette much of the time but I've respected her game, and I have to root for her now. |

   Even as her 'I take it all back' farewell to Janelle was on tv here, she was walking around the backyard with Ivette bashing & trashing Janelle like always. Even as Ivette hugged her and cried 'Mommy I just won you $50,000!' and Maggie said '500!' on my tv she covered the money table on the feeds so their 'Friendship' wouldn't be tainted. I don't think she's evil or a mind control freak: I think she's very ordinary. She justifies her crimes until they cease to exist and if nobody catches her doing it, it didn't happen. She accuses before she's accused and she can't or won't admit when she's wrong. She manipulated an emotionally vulnerable Ivette with words of love but for all those pretty words, she never offered to step down to ensure Ivette a place in the finals. She's like too many people most of us know or have, who cause us harm and make us think we did it to ourselves. She may get an earful in jury questioning tomorrow, and her icy demeanor may crack a bit on the feeds tomorrow night. |

    Buxom blonde bombshell and star of the season. Part femme fatale & part small town girl, she did anything but meet expectations. She wasn't a saint but she entertained and gained legions of fans. Her brilliance kept her in til the end in spite of being hated & lied about and she played a clean game despite what they say. She stood up to all of it, never cried & rarely moped, and rallied back every time til math took her out. |

   She ran from side to side every week with angst even though she DID NOT CARE! She tried to get Ivette kicked out & blamed it on Janelle, like everything else: she's most of the reason her fellow crones hate Janelle so much. She brought Gladys Kravitz into the house, picked her nose, freaked out regularly, lied & cussed up a storm, and called all us fans 'pieces of shit' on tv, but thanks to her we got Howie's Busto rant. |

   Pure fun & entertainment, he gave us boobies, his jack shack, the Busto rant, and so much more. His friendliness & charm outweigh his explicit mouth & harassing ways and most everyone loved him in the end. He brought the Force into the house and inspired Jedi Janey to carry on. Never mind his looks, build, and future economic potential: his best trait is just being Howie. |

   As BB's double token he danced, he flashed, he puked and rode Ivette's jetstream. Not as fabulous as promised, and it doesn't seem right that he knows so many people that Janelle & Howie do, not to mention he's pals with BB2 Hardy. I thought he'd be this year's Cowboy at #2 but he won an HOH so he's gone. |

   He played a good game, saved himself too many times, and played both sides against each other instead of for himself. He wasn't a very nice boyfriend, and he was mostly dull with an excuse for everything. Arrogance was his undoing. |

   Half of the oddest pairing since Oscar & Felix, she did her best but went to bed too early to make it all happen. She's not the most fun hamster by a long shot, but she's one of the most decent and I wish her well. |

   She wanted to 'stir up the house like Kaysar did' but instead she stirred up everyone with a whopper of a lie to America's Choice, and she took out his partner with a huge lie of omission. So long Jenn and remember, roses really smell like poo poo. |

   America's Choice by 82% (at least) but he was out 4th and 6th. He turned the game on its ear, took out an emperor, and fell for Janelle overnights but was taken out by the cheerleader who took out his partner because she cried. He's a class act and did it all with brains, humor and integrity. |

   She was too young & too naive to be in there but held up well considering she played with the boyfriend from hell. I'm glad she got out early and alive. |

   Maybe the poorest loser in BB history but he gave us the best fight sequence. He said it nonstop but he never understood that 'it's just a game'. |

   Not blameless but not the villain they made him out to be either. He had funny voices, 'The Continental' and Janelle - plus the best hoax of the season. |

   There's never much to say about the first out except they're gone. She blabbed too much so she wouldn't have lasted long but she was fun while she was there. |
