Marvin's big adventure

Adria saves herself, leaves her sister in the
Julie-interview chair, and sits Cowboy down
beside her.. no real surprises there

No real surprises that Cowboy didn't handle
it well, either

Cowboy applies touch-up paint and attempts a rescue campaign with a tried-and-false method.. but even fake-flower juggling won't undo his nomination

Karen philosophises for awhile.. photogenically, of course

After another fishies break, we find out that Marvin won the Young & Restless
spot - and he's already left for his big adventure! Go Marv!!

The house is quiet without him, but everyone's glad he won - yes, even Cowboy -
sure, he would've loved it, but he doesn't begrudge Marvin the win

Cowboy: It's the expense of a lifetime!
Diane: I'm so happy for him.. I'm not even mad I didn't get it, or Drew
Cowboy: I wonder if that's how the voting went.. Marvin, then Nakomas, then me.. that's pretty good!
Karen: That is a split end from hell!

Our favorite couple puts some of the fun back into dysfunctional

Diane: Everyone has a secret here - Nik and Cowboy, the twins.. what's mine?
Drew: You're related to Marvin
Diane: No, I'm Indian.. Choctaw
Drew: I think Will's got money - Marvin says he's a doctor
....
Drew: The whole thing is about DNA twist..
Diane: Maybe Karen & Nik are cousins.. are we just the dummies who don't know?
Drew: Who, us?
....
Diane: You suck at closing your eyes!
....
Diane: Did you know they did Celebrity Big Brother? Dennis Rodman was in here for about 3 months

Karen and Nik keep sewing - after two days Nik finally finishes embroidering "Miss Fortune 13" onto her hat

Twins take advantage of the lull to say nasty things about everyone, and plot to continue playing as two even after Natalie leaves (many feeders opt for fishies)

He's back!

Everyone gathers to hear about Marvin's day as a tv star - he had the best time ever!

He did press! KCBS, Inside Edition, CBS.com, all the soap opera magazines!
People recognized him - they said "What's up Marvin!"

He met all his long-time Y&R faves! He did his scene - in a gym - he had lines!
They let him ad-lib! They gave him an extra scene!! He met the hottest chick ever!!

Oops, he only brought one shoe! But they found him a pair, and they gave him a t-shirt!

They said come back after BB! He saw The Price is Right wheel!!

It was a dream come true!
You can't go back on the stage til they say 'clear'.. of course I went back on before they said 'clear'.. I fucked up that part..
The weirdest thing is being out of here.. and then first thing you see is stars!
You can't talk about (this) show.. it's like catching a big fish but you can't tell anyone..
Just being around different people was weird as hell! You ain't been no damn body for 3 months, it's a shock
Yea I got emotional when I won.. they made me cry - I haven't cried in 10 damn years! I told them they was fake tears, soap opera tears
This the best part right here, being back and telling you all

They told me 'just take a pair of shoes and your shaver to shave your head' then they didn't make me shave my head and I forgot one damn shoe!

Voters couldn't have sent anyone better to be on The Young & the Restless - not only is Marvin a HUGE fan - they were surprised he knew all the characters and their history! - but he told it better than anyone else could when he came back..
You couldn't watch this without smiling and being so happy for him.

But wait, there's more! Impossible, you say?

Used the veto - big deal. Hours of bitching and scheming should affect her rating, but she was genuinely happy for Marvin and that was good to see. Plus she's stirring up shit everywhere - that's always a good thing.

Double whammy day: America's Choice loser and substitute nominee. As disappointed as he was by both, he still cheered Marvin on his 'expense of a lifetime' and was able to separate being happy for Marv from his own misery. He's getting in pretty thick with those twins.. we won't bring up co-ed showers here else he might creep his way down to neutral or worse.

She's paranoi'ing a little more each day, and it doesn't help that all her allies are terrorizing her for kicks. But even spotlight-obsessed Diane enjoyed hearing about Marvin's adventures for a little while, and didn't tell a story about herself for at least an hour.

Drew didn't really seem to be aware there was a soap opera competition going on, no more than he's aware that everyone and their brother-sister-twin is working on him. But he loves hearing Marvin stories anytime, and wants to be just like him when he grows up.

First to bring up Marv's AC win as a fair balance to an eviction, but only cuz she's the only one (besides him) who can think outside the hamster box. She loved watching him bask in his glory, and she had a late-night meltdown to sweeten the deal.

First-ever HamsterWatch double-ups plus contact upgrades and honorary nicknames for all! Marvin had such a great time at Y&R, and he didn't keep his joy to himself: he spread the wealth with all of them, making them forget about game & alliances & evictions, and for a couple hours, they were all <gasp> happy! Marv just rocks.

She put aside the Five Fingers & a Pinky-Swear Plan cuz she didn't want to play dirty (yea right!) so now her arch-nemesis Adria is staying. One of the oddest people in there - and not for the reasons she thinks - she actually questioned later whether Marv hugging her on his triumphant return had hidden meaning or ulterior motives game-wise.. and I thought Diane & Drew had intimacy issues! But she was happy at the time, and has been a font of night-time entertainment lately.

Thrown back into the void by her loving sister - would she have done the same to Adria? Only their momma knows for sure. I don't seem to have any pics of her smiling during Marvin's story time.. but I'm sure she did - she's been smiling up a storm for Cowboy lately.

Manufactured melodrama made a return Saturday, complete with action-hero music and use of the word "livid." Kissing Lessons was cute (a full week late!) but didn't hint at what followed.. And stinkfoot?! Are they even watching Marvin?? Well maybe the "black David Copperfield doing it with smoke and mirrors" has tricked them too. Nice to see CBS also picked up on Karma Electra though - I was starting to think I'd imagined it. Hey! Maybe I tipped them off and they ran back to check the tapes? (we could at least talk about hiring me yanno.. I won't hold you to any commitments) (that goes for anyone with a killer job available who likes what they see here)
