Let's make a deal

Before the comp, Ryan agreed to put up Matt in exchange for two weeks of safety from "everybody in this room" - Joshuah, Sheila, Chelsia and James - Joshuah promised a third if he wins that HOH, which would mean four weeks from him since he couldn't be HOH the following week either

Ryan was understandably surprised to find out virtually the entire habitat was down with this plan and that Matt had been promising both Sharon & Chelsia his vote, among other things.. anyway, two more weeks makes three more than he thought he'd be in there.. they probably think it'll guarantee Ryan a jury seat (more pay) but they don't know about Revive-a-Hamster yet.. they aren't telling Natalie since she tells everything to Matt, with lightspeed

Ryan also said it's Day 30 and nobody argued so maybe they've been enlightened as to the new day count.. I'll keep my alternate as an alternate for awhile, just in case

Chelsia won the veto.. Sharon was in a panic but she was assured by James, Chelsia & Joshuah that Ryan would stick to his deal, and then by Ryan in exchange for her 2 week promise

It was an opt-in/trade consequences comp: Sharon won a slop pass but said she won't use it yet.. Sheila's in the red catsuit for a week and fine with that.. Adam got a motorcycle, Joshuah gets a letter from home, and Ryan got $10k

Matt hosted like he'd wanted to, which was probably fatal*: it sounds like Ryan's word to the estrogen alliance is good.. he told Matt all's well since "Sharon's still up" - Matt said "Just don't put me up"

Sheila: Jen's probably so jealous I took her outfit

The slop thickens

Line of the Day contenders are coming fast and furious.. for now it's a tie between Matt's "It's gonna be paranoia city in this house" (little does he know it'll be him leading the way*), and Sheila about Chelsia: "She just won by luck 'cause she was out there for fricking four hours practicing"

Then in a sudden turn of events, Sheila got busy with Adam & Natalie in turn, saying Joshuah & Chelsia have to go.. I thought it might be coverup for the Matt plan but no: she worked Ryan especially hard to change gears, and he did.. he went right over to Matt, Adam & Natalie and told them about the two week deals to boot Matt, and they're back to Joshuah

A bee landed on the pool table and became the first fatality not caused by Til Death Do You Part.. Joshuah got his letter already and read it to all: the folks are having Sunday night BB viewing parties and are also watching the feeds (uh oh).. he was really pleased and touched by it, awww

What's up with these token mom hamsters getting away with not wearing their assigned outfits? Last summer Kail never wore her bunny ears and usually just wore half the bunny suit, and now Sheila's all comfy in a T-shirt, and it's only been a few hours

I think she had the bottom half of the catsuit on but that's no excuse, and neither is her toothache.. BB8 Jen usually just wore half the catsuit but at least she was creative about it

Bikinis, workouts and sauna-sits arrived on schedule for Showtime, along with another revision by Matt, Ryan & Adam: now they've decided to go for James rather than Joshuah.. keep it in pencil

James & Chelsia did their cuddle thing while Sharon led Bible class, and Natalie started Ryan's portrait in Revlon & Estée Lauder.. his goodie basket is a lot sweeter than it was yesterday

I still can't get used to a habitat where everyone goes to bed before 1am

Wednesday's show was excellent thanks to well-kept secrets sprung on them and us together. I don't know about a surprise that 'no one saw coming' but it sure worked out well and although every scenario had been mentioned in there and out here, nobody knew for sure which way it would go. Yes, it was mean of all of us who savored Allison's final tragic fall from triumphant smug to shocked misery over the span of a commercial break, but she brought it on herself so we might as well enjoy it. I'll overlook the drawn-out storylines about hinky vote plans, the staged-sounding Diaries, and the still-repetitive lesbian and Matt & Natalie junk because the (un)twist worked this time and it worked beautifully. They were all just as shocked as Allison and that's how it should be. I still have no idea how Ryan & Adam ended up the HOH finalists, but I think most were pleased with Ryan's win. Both Alex & Parker got raw deals and it was looking like Ryan was going to go the same route so it was a sweet win especially after his unanimous reprieve. Bottom line: big ups for doing it right and giving us a half hour of real reality tv.. the random guinea pig was icing on the cake.
Won: Motorcycle Paired with Sheila Good for him that he won a bike (even though they won't tell him what kind it'll be), but even better that he didn't win the veto. If he had, he might not have used it and we would have been deprived of this sweet mongo mess which likely is only just beginning.	NOMINATED - HOLDS VETO Paired with James Once she stopped nervousing and won the veto, she went more or less AFK today. She'll get lively & feisty again if/when she finds out Sheila now wants her blood even more than Natalie does, or that James suggested she be nom'd in the first place, or if he gets wind of the fact that he's the latest replacement candidate and starts working on her not to veto herself off. But for now she's safe, and safe equals dull.
Paired with Chelsia He went from top of the heap (in his mind) to everyone being suspicious of him or worse, and I think he's running scared. He went to bed before Showtime so we were all deprived of a show, even though they were given beer to help things along. He can't hide forever though, and things should definitely pick up in the next couple days.	Paired with Neil Sharon Ups simply for being so sure of his new Estrogen Alliance and the deal struck with Ryan, but oblivious to the fact that the deal's toast. It was nice to see him so touched by his letter, and it was also nice to see him pinching himself and bouncing in the mirror to make himself jiggle while saying how fat he is. So much for him believing his momma: her letter said he was looking slim on tv.
Paired with Natalie I'm not pulling for this guy but I have to admire the way he keeps coming out on top, and he seems to do it without even trying. He was all but a goner, and then in a heartbeat he bounced back to the top dog spot.. because of Sheila? Stranger things have happened, but I can't think of many.	Paired with Matt She went from being one of the Testosterone Alliance's top targets to being their tutor and mascot in a matter of hours, with at least four hamsters now ahead of her in the eviction line. She knows she was outted for spilling the Estrogen Alliance's plans for Matt to him minutes after they'd toasted themselves, so maybe she'll watch herself a bit now.. maybe she'll also be choosing a side and sticking with it. Meanwhile she's her fun chattery self again, making nail polish study aids and portraits - tonight was Ryan's turn to sit for her and say mm-hmm as she rattled on.
HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD Won: $10,000 Jen's boyfriend Paired with Allison We and they thought Natalie was easily swayed, but this guy changes his mind as often as we change feeds. That's a good thing too: today he changed the course of the game suddenly & drastically a couple times, and who doesn't love a roller coaster? Ryan's Wild Ride should continue for a few days, since nobody can be sure now what he's going to do when Chelsia veto's herself out of the nominee's spot on the sofa. With $15k, two weekly stipends to this point plus probable jury stipend for Ryan, he & Jen probably would have come out ahead in the long run if he'd stuck with booting Matt, but what's almost done is done. The good news is Matt, Joshuah, James, and of course Sharon should all be nervousing (© BB5 Cowboy) in earnest no matter what Ryan says now.	NOMINATED Paired with Jacob (her ex) Joshuah She's on slop, she won a slop pass, but she isn't using it. Just because Dad & Jacob were Marines doesn't mean she has to act tough to the point of stoopid. She went from being the target to just a supporting cast member in a few hours, and she doesn't even know it. She was driving the game for awhile but watching-wise, she's a drip. Matt put it best when he asked what's her role there? He's the loudmouth a-hole, James & Chelsia are the hip young freaks, Sheila's the MILF, Natalie's the wild girl with a heart of gold, etc etc, but Sharon's just there. She's not even fulfilling the part she was cast for in the recycled ex's twist, and hasn't been since before the feeds kicked on a month ago.
Paired with Adam Big ups for jumping into the game out of the blue, while jumping into the red catsuit. I'm not sure if telling all to Ryan will be in her own best interest in the long run, especially since she did it a few hours after toasting to the new Estrogen Alliance and striking a deal guaranteeing her at least one more week in there. But it's clear now that she's opted to go with the boys rather than the girls so they'll probably be coming after her as a result, and we know she's not afraid of a fight so we'll come out ahead on that one. She couldn't trash Chelsia enough today and it's just a matter of time til Chelsia finds out about that too.	Paired with Ryan She called it manipulation - I call it emotional blackmail with a lot of 'poor me' thrown in. One of the most delusional hamsters ever (and that's saying something), she's the poster girl for Can Dish It Out But Can't Take It. She did give us some confrontation doozies and fireworks deluxe but trust her, like one million percent, she does not care.
Paired with Amanda He started out looking like he was on board with Matt's showmance plan and CBS picked up that angle, but then we got to know a bright, charismatic, and goofy guy who had everything going for him in there except his partner. His diplomacy was remarkable and he might have gone the distance, but he went out as another casualty of 'Til Death Do You Part'.	Paired with Alex She began with hysterics & drama and was at the center of the biggest BB fight ever, but she went out with more of a whimper than a bang. Her moods dropped as fast as her blood sugar but to her credit, she rebounded just as fast. She & Allison had dual 911 events, but Amanda's collapse brought unexpected (and uniformed) guests into the habitat and onto the air.
Won: $5,000 Ryan's girlfriend/Paired with Parker She & Ryan could have gone far if she hadn't opened her mouth in the first days. She made loads of enemies in a short time and took Parker down with her. She'll be remembered for super-quickie sex in the bathroom and a rash on her backside.. hmm, coincidence?	Won: $5,000 Paired with Jen He was good watching at first til he gave up and went on strike. He bounced back a bit at the end but his doom came early when partner Jen couldn't keep her trap shut about her & Ryan. She had to go, and he was just the innocent bystander casualty. 'I'm sick of people's dumbass assinine ass comments' might be Line of the Season.
Paired with Joshuah He left suddenly and mysteriously but wrote on his MySpace that he didn't leave for health reasons and that he won't be back. He seems like a good guy and I wish him well.. he's probably lucky he got out when he did, unscathed.	Paired with Sharon (his ex) Gone before the feeds kicked in: he didn't even make an appearance. All that potential for rehashing their breakup and/or a jealous rage up in smoke. To make it worse, he & Sharon didn't even get an exit interview in Julie's boudoir - how rude!
