You guys can help me, if you would please.. as you make your rounds of the various Big Brother sites, blogs, MySpaces, et cetera this year, please be on the lookout for my work posted elsewhere. If you read it here and then experience déjà vu on another site without credit or a link back here, or if you find my daily recaps or ratings being reposted elsewhere on a regular basis, please notify the site owner(s) and/or post a message that the material in question is from www.Hamsterwatch.com
There are so many BB sites anymore, I can't keep up with reading them all let alone chase down offenders, but stolen content has become epidemic and a real problem for everyone. The same goes for reposted/uncredited material you find from any site, Big Brother or not. All site owners, writers, choppers, updaters and cappers could breathe a sigh of relief if all the online communities pitched in to self-police the rampant plagiarism.
Huge thanks in advance!
This site may contain spoilers! The outcomes of nominations, evictions, competitions and other info is likely to be posted here before CBS airs the same.. be warned.
I make no claims to report everything that happens on the Big Brother 8 feeds, and while I strive to be accurate with what I report and to be clear about what's fact and what's opinion, I make no guarantees as to accuracy or thoroughness.

MY TEXT UPDATES WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS so don't sign up for them if you want to wait for the air show to see what happens. I can't promise to send every bit of news as soon as it happens but will do my best to send updates about nominations, evictions, competition outcomes, and so forth. I'll also keep you updated about endurance comps and other "big stuff" as it happens.
I'll also let you know when the feeds come back if they're off for more than 15 minutes or so - you can be free to leave the computer this year!
Please read and abide the guidelines posted on the chat page.
If you're having problems registering or joining the chatroom, be sure you have Java installed. It's free and can be downloaded here. Also you may need to disable your pop-up blocker, especially to register or retrieve lost password: holding Ctrl key while clicking either link will usually work.
The chat should work with all browsers but if you have problems using Vista or Firefox, try using MSIE.
Right-click a user name in the room list to ignore that person. Please do not announce to the room when you've ignored someone as that defeats the purpose of the ignore function.
Click another chatroom to move to it. User names in the room list will show when that person is typing or when they are on Away status.
Use the toolbar to add emoticons, change font size, clear the chat screen, toggle timestamps, launch this help page, or log out.
Right click anywhere in the chat area to access the toolbar commands, change the font face, or toggle audio.
Click another person's nick in the chat area to copy that nick to the typing area. When someone else types your nick, it will show in red to get your attention.
The chatroom has a copy/paste function but it doesn't always work properly.. check that what you've pasted is what you wanted before hitting Enter.
Please use the "screenname rule" when chatting: refer to people by their chat nick even if you know their real name, as they have chosen to use a nick instead.
For donations, link requests, and advertising info you can email hamster(at)neonpages(dot)(com) - insert appropriate punctuation - or send a private message to dingo in the forum.
While I greatly appreciate the many nice emails and kind words I've received over the years, I just don't have the time to respond to them all when the season's underway.
As much as I'd like to, I can't get involved in one-on-one email exchanges about the hamsters or happenings on the feeds. Please use the chat and/or forum - that's what they're there for :)
I haven't yet participated in friend-adding on my YouTube, and I generally don't accept video responses since most of them are essentially spam.
I gladly add friends to my MySpace provided the requesting profile doesn't suggest spam will follow. If I don't accept your friend request, please send me a MySpace message and let me know you're a Hamsterwatcher.

Latest show review is in the Forum. Wow, lots of viewers & feedsters are questioning authority lately. As long as the fights keep going on they'll keep airing them, and people will watch them. That'll probably get translated into 'success' by the accounting department and we can expect yet another installment next year even though most fans realize BB jumped the shark with All-Stars. Maybe Canada will do a real 'Big Brother'? Meanwhile there are all the other countries doing it right and making good tv, and more web shows are starting up all the time.
$500,000 and Plasma tv Volatile & confrontational like no other, you loved him or hated him (or switched between). He provided fights & fireworks galore, easily making him star of the season, plus father/daughter blow-ups and make-ups as bonus paydirt for CBS. The Dick at Night Show, hide the bunnies and redecorating were usually a treat for overnighters (loogies aside).
$50,000 She whined and cried and laid around with Nick, but once she got in the game she played the hell out of it. Her stuff with Dick was intense and should have stayed private but she was the only one who could shut him up. She was too young for what they dropped her into but they did have some fun. I'm glad she found out she has a dad who cares.
Much maligned, often shunned, usually absent, and sometimes depressed, he built a strategy structure and an M&Ms calendar. He played BB and chess by himself, he was a good sport and came into his own first in a bunny suit and again in the final comps. He provided his share of fun including a weird food fight with Dick.
She went from one of the most liked by fans to one of the least (mostly due to excessive religious zeal and tears that harmonized with Amber's) and back. She was a lot of fun at times but usually seemed like she'd rather be anywhere else. She'll be remembered for "mmm-hmmm" and the holy wars with Dick.
$40,000 as AMERICA'S PLAYER He fell hard for Jessica but didn't know what to do about it, and watching him with her showed he could use a puberty re-do. His behind-the-back trashing, extraordinary persuasive and filibuster skills suggest a career in politics. He played hard and well (the game and the buffoon) but mostly gave up way TMI.
She was a desperately needed spark of fun in there until Eric sucked the life out of her. She was in good standing with all of them and might have gone all the way til Eric took over her game and she sent out two of her own. For pure hamster fun, she was usually the one to watch.
$1,000 on 'Power on 10' Yea, she cried a lot and brought emo to a new level but she also got around game-wise and was a good sport more often than many realize. She said way too much way too often, and CBS punished her mercilessly but she let Eric have it when many thought he had it coming. She'd have done better at summer camp, and I wish her well.
Underdog deluxe, she put the show in Showtime and stood up to hate campaigns by the others and CBS, death wishes, mustard, catsuit, bunny suit, and iced tea without batting an eye. It would have been good to see her in final HOH BB8 trivia & endurance since she's a machine in both (not to mention angry sex potential with Dick).
$5,000 and Barbados trip King Dustin's HOH blew open the backdoor and he pawned himself right through it. He was never busted for outing his alliance and he stuck with Amber too much but he led abs class, shouted at a closed door, and was an outstanding game show host.
BB8's professional pawn artist didn't contribute much but she stuck longer and hung 'like a bat' longer than anyone expected. Some thought she was a mastermind but she needed a diagram most of the time.
He went from designated pretty boy to badass with pink nails but remained ambiguous. He got blamed for just about everything but spent most of his time laying around with Daniele so missed his chance to get in the game.
His & Dustin's part in the 'twist' felt legit and disturbing to eavesdrop on. Joe was chatty and catty, he told stories and entertained, and will be remembered for Amber from Vegas and gonorrhea.
She & Jessica didn't fulfill the 'twist' as advertised so off she goes. She wasn't prepared for this, she moped a lot and was barely around, but she gave a good show when she had it out with all the cameras watching her.
THANKS FOR VISITING Donations are gratefully accepted through Paypal using the button below or direct by email, though I really shouldn't keep mentioning them. Please support other BB8 sites that you like, too. Many thanks!
This site was never necessarily thorough: it's what I caught and/or what interested me. It also wasn't necessarily about who should win, who will win, who I'd be friends with or who is cute. It was about watching hamsters: which ones are doing what and why, which are fun and which are dull. If they aren't entertaining, get rid of 'em! Thanks for encouraging my behavior.
