So said Ollie, as he gave April a hug in the pantry after helping her move her luggage inWhatever else they may be, and however long they probably won't last after all this, they do actually seem kind of smitten with each other.. it was a sweet moment

You have to wonder what the production meeting was like where they said okay, let's get out that swinging-on-bars apparatus again, but this time let's smash the hamsters into a wallYou have to wonder too why Dan was the only one who had a rain slicker, with hood, or that apparently Keesha said something the other day along the lines of "I heard Dan's going to win the next HOH".. I didn't hear that myself so I don't have anymore to say about that
Regardless, it was another brutal comp requiring a dicey and unchanging body position, and cold rain on a cool evening.. kudos to all of them for doing as well as they did
After-effects
Towards the end, Dan was trying to make a deal with Ollie but Ollie wasn't biting, then Ollie offered a "never put you up" but Dan didn't take that - this is courtesy Showtimers who were in the chatroom, since the feeds went to trivia for the last half hour or so, and Attw x.. when Ollie did drop, he went down like a sack of bricks, and Dan won it after more than three and a half hoursIt was a mostly silent comp after the first few minutes, and everyone was sore, limp and cold when they came off.. Memphis Bob hung in quite awhile, and all three guys in particular were suffering when they came off, but all seem to have recovered after many towels, showers, and pizza
Later Ollie told Michelle that Dan promised them both safety (noms and veto) and ran the deal terms past her.. but later on, Ollie confirmed the following with Dan: Ollie gets to select one nomination, if Ollie wins veto he can save whoever he likes, and Ollie selects the veto replacement if needed - Michelle's name wasn't mentioned (for that matter, they didn't confirm that Dan can't put up Ollie).. Dan then added that he "has to save one person" and Ollie said that hadn't come up outside
Another letter, another group of photos
Dan showed his pics, souvenirs from camp & football, and junk food collection to the now-small crowd, and read his letter with sections from mom & dad, the lovely Monica, and Hamsterwatcher KellyHe choked up a few times reading but he got through it okay.. the note about Grandma watching the show but not getting it got a big laugh from everyone
As of 12.30am BB time, Feed 3 was still running trivia and Feed 4 was still running its WAY TOO LOUD music instead of the appropriate audio.. at 1am BB time, they put trivia on 1/3 and WAY TOO LOUD music on all four feeds
They shuffled it around some, but some trivia remained on some feeds and WAY TOO LOUD MUSIC remained on all, so we all missed Dan & Keesha's convo, and Dan & Ollie's, and a few others.. once again, thanks a heap, feedmasters

Won: $20k (presumably)VTE April HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD Ups for winning a brutal comp, even if he did have the edge of a raincoat. I doubt it helped all that much, but it sure was peculiar and the rest of them thought so too. He made the Deal of the Century with Ollie, but there's no telling if he'll stick to any of it. Ollie's already suspicious, saying he recognized Monica from pre-show sequester events, but that Dan said the only time he lied to Monica was telling her he was going to Miami rather than to BB. Incidentally, the shy & innocent guy who won't even poop unless he's isolated showed all his junk to the world in his first night in the HOH. |
 
Won: $4kNo vote (nominee) - 1st out Ups all the way! First for surviving that fall (even though we'll be hearing about his groin for days now), but more so for being the ONLY one of them to show up to rescue each and every one of them as they came off. He knew the agony they were in and he really jumped into action to help them up and out. |

I don't know what kind of convos he had with anyone tonight, thanks to the aforementioned idiocy in the control room all night. BTW what kind of question was that on the show? VTE April - 3rd outShe started pitching in with the rescues and she really helped with the last two guys who were in the most pain when they came off. She seems to have thrown her lot in more with Ollie than Memphis Bob, at least for the moment, which is an interesting turn of events. She was very interested to hear about Ollie seeing Monica and together they ran down all kinds of conspiracy theory paths - some of which were probably not true. |
 
VTE Jerry - 5th/last outHe really stuck it out in a brutal comp after a week on slop, and he didn't even have a raincoat. He made the Deal of the Century to end it, but he's already doubting whether it'll hold up. He's in the game in a big way, but he's going about it as quietly as ever. |
 
No vote (HOH) - didn't swingGame aside, she's usually the den mother to them all and I'm really disappointed in her lack of support or cheering of any kind when they were all swinging 'n crashing. If she'd given a few peptalks, the others would have followed suit and endurance comps NEED some support from the ground crew. I think it's her first negative since the first day or two of feeds, but she earned it tonight. I don't know what convos she had with Keesha in the greenlight, or with any of them after the HOH room debut, thanks to the night's disastrous feeds screw-up. |
    Won: Designer clothes, $5k We've had sex on the feeds before, but we never actually saw it until she came along. She one-upped often but to her credit, she impressively won the first endurance. She had delusions about her importance in & out of the habitat, and her Barbie Battles with Keesha plus her other fights were something. But we knew from the start she wouldn't be invisible, thanks to her most unusual introduction to the others. |
   Won: Hawaii trip, $1k She ran the tie-dye room with an iron fist but only for a short time: her minions had turned on her long before Jessie & Michelle painted a bull's eye on her for being their leader. She took a lot of flak for leaving her babies and for choosing Hawaii, and her financial sob stories didn't always add up. But she told some fun stories, rebelled against giving comp recaps to Diary, and added great fireworks to fights. |
   The first to get an empty wheel before their time, his comic relief wore off fast and he brought nothing but a major mirror obsession and raging insecurity. But it's not all bad: he laid around in pink pillows and talked himself gone with rampaging harangues, and he'll carry the fact that he lost to a girl while wearing spandex, then lost to three girls plus Renny. Rehabs will profit from the Jessie Drinking Game. |
   The third fan fave to walk the plank, she was a great sidekick to the fun guys but she didn't bring much after they left, including any real attempt to save herself. Like many who have gone before, she seems like she'd be a cool person in reality, but this isn't. Her angry hat and illegal tribute bandana aside, she did a great Julie puppet and manscaping. Bikini fans will miss her, as will the Behind Pillows alliance. |
   They all liked him and his shenanigans, but his comp potential and desperate pledges of multi allegiance got him booted anyway, plus he was Brian's pal. He entertained them and us like few have before, with skits, dances, nekkid romps, Ambien-induced bedtime stories and general looniness. Too bad he went before he made it upstairs: he'd probably have revived Bath Buddies® and done it right. |
   He made more of an impact than most who get voted out first and he had the potential to be a fan fave but he over-allied and betrayed too early and had a very negative edit to boot. He was smart, funny, and a good ringleader for the guys - time will tell if they can be as fun without him. Sock Puppet Theater on only the second night of feeds, under his direction, could be the highlight of the season. |
