Daily Feeds RecapsDay 43 - Tuesday - August 18, 2026 Kamu and Yash each mansplained to Mallory in HOH for ages. First Kamu hard pitched an agreement to have each other's backs, and for "trust building" he told her Dee had the other power, and what it was, but she can't tell anyone and he said he hasn't told anyone but Yash. He said he thinks she paid her $5k to Devens to use his power yesterday, which is exactly the cover story Dee and Devens planned to use to explain him pulling out his diamond and look, they didn't even need it. Kamu pitched a mega alliance to include them, FAP, Yash, Taylor, and Haley if they both stay, adding "we run this all the way to jury." Kamu finally left the room and Yash stepped in, after a quick whisper with Kamu about the bribe reveal. Yash pushed booting the vets, and said their group is working with LaLa but they "just to tell her how to vote." And he lied (badly) to say he doesn't know what Dee's power can or can't do. Mallory occasionally threw out a thought or two with each of them, but each went back to their marathon talking at her rather than to her, things a woman in the aerospace industry is sure to notice. She volunteered a little more to Yash than Kamu, including Reasons to get Kamu out now while they can. Obviously Yash did not jump on that idea. Dee finally told Barrett about her bribe power, and that she'd offered it to Yash, and he turned her down. Retells ensued, and Yash told Mallory and Melody together about Dee's bribe attempt with him.They were locked inside again since early morning so whispering, snacking, paranoia broke out periodically in all corners, including a lot of rehash about the Melody versus Lyric vote, and who said what when about Dee's and Devens' powers. Among the many gametalks, Devens told Drew about his various alliances with Kamu, Taylor, Yash. A number of Mosh Pit members worked toward its future demise by spreading suspicions and retells about others. Angela's paranoia started to ramp up again, and Haley alternated between campaigning to stay and saying she absolutely cannot go to the jury house. Kamu of course campaigned his brains out, rarely stopping to take a breath once he got going. Barrett described the Bluesky BB community to Mallory, positively, and he also told her about BB mist.   Later Devens made himself some mac 'n cheese and hot dogs, and was then called to Diary. Barrett took a bite of a dog, and when Devens finally came out of Diary he held an inquisition to find out who'd done it. Barrett, Drew, Melody, Yash acted innocent, and Devens hid under the table to eavesdrop as they made him a replacement. They ran to HOH to jump and scream "he'll never know!" who did it, and Devens heard them. It was all probably much like a typical day at home with his kids.  Dee and Angela had a rehash/planning session, and Dee excused herself to join HOH where most of the others were goofing on Rome's actual name being Jack, talking highlights of past seasons, and other banter. Angela joined LaLa in the bathroom where Taylor was still cleaning after she scrubbed the nasty shower again. I'm not sure how it started but the tension rose and so did Angela's voice tone. Angela talked like she isn't working with Dee and Devens (like anyone believes that), LaLa said she trusts Kamu completely, and Angela said "really, on Big Brother?!" Apparently Angela said she heard LaLa would keep Kamu over Angela, and eventually LaLa whispered she wants and needs Angela to stay. Angela put on her perky voice and excused herself to join HOH where she grumpily stared down the light conversation, and Dee left. LaLa laid into Taylor for saying things in front of Angela, and then they broke out into doubled-over belly laughs. Taylor said "leave that woman alone, you know she's fragile" and "why are you stressing that lady out?" Taylor continued in the pantry where she told us her partner's impossible to work with but she's stuck with her, and they're like good cop/bad cop where the bad cop is always getting the good cop in trouble. Angela eventually cried about it and got everyone talking. She tried to go to Diary but nobody was home. Mallory got to work on a crafts project, making an Angela Rocks sign with kidnap letters torn from packages. Angela loved it, and she complained to Mallory about being emotional. LaLa and Taylor had it out again, in HOH with Yash present, because Angela "blew up" after talking with LaLa. Taylor and Yash both told LaLa multiple people are annoyed with her (again) with many rehashes, and they said Angela's pushing LaLa closer to both Dee and Haley. LaLa said fine, she just won't say anything to anyone besides good morning. Yash and Taylor said personal conversations are fine, just no game conversations. Yash added "cook when you want to" and both said "trust us." LaLa said she's baffled why all this was happening when "this chick [Haley] was so passive-aggressive to me it was ridiculous, telling people not to talk to me." Taylor said "because you were loud with it, she was quiet." LaLa left and sobbed when Angela asked her what's wrong, saying she (Angela) was just crying because she's on the block, and "good god, I had a moment, doesn't mean everybody should be running with it." Too late ma'am, too late, but calling it "a moment" indicates some growth since last time, when it might have lasted hours. Things calmed down gradually, like they do, with selected retells and comfort hugs in selected corners. Haley told Devens she's had "a bad four days - I'm gonna say five days" to excuse her part in all that, apparently having had a reset since her bad four (or five) weeks. (She did not ask how Devens is doing in return. That usually is missing from both her and Angela after they have a complaint session.) Haley got retells from Taylor and Yash, and said among other things, she's so over Dee that she won't even tell her what her dog's jammies look like. Can't make it up. Devens came up with another puppet, this one formed from a pillow with a rip, named Garrett. He shouted out the live feeders repeatedly, asked Mallory about her mug cakes, and asked about crushes. Dee saw an opening and said "they" said there's been kisses between Drew and Melody, and Drew said "that's not true!" (I believe it was Angela spreading that with Dee, or maybe Haley, awhile back.) Yash had a lengthy whisper session with Melody while that was going on, mostly pushing to keep Kamu. Melody had a long phone call and landed on wanting to put Dee and Devens on the block, since "you burned your power bro, and Dee's power sucks."If you missed what came before, click 'previous Hamsterwatch episode' up top and/or use my season directory. Day 42 - Monday - August 17, 2026 Angela's birthday arrived with no visible indication of the chaos to come, especially for those about to be blindsided, and many of them enjoyed morning coffee and casual conversation outside. Dee and Devens decided to make this a single power day, with Dee saving her bribe for potential future use if needed for either of them. Devens later told us he knows this move could backfire and ruin his game "but you can't play these games scared." And he reiterated he's most loyal to Dee and he thinks/hopes she is to him, and he said he's going to ride with the Mosh Pit for as long as that works. Haley told Taylor it would be embarrassing to go out on a 10-0 vote. (There are nine votes this week, and Kamu will be the target, but maybe she'll go out 8-0 next week.) And she told Taylor she knows that Drew was the one vote for Rome. Taylor, who cast it, feigned surprise for that. Feeds were down just a wee bit over an hour for the veto meeting, which is surprising and refreshing, considering it was more complex than usual. Everything went as planned: Yash did not use his veto, and Devens did use his to save Dee and put Kamu on the block. Dee did not use her bribe and it remains in play. There were no explosions or fireworks (yet? or none that we saw) but a number of them said Kamu's side was definitely blindsided. Drew told Mallory and Melody "we made that alliance at the right time" referring to Mosh Pit, and Yash told Barrett and Drew "I can't even be mad at it" because it was a Big Move. Dee immediately sat down with Kamu to smooth things over and shmooze. Afternoon was a snooze, literally, and surprisingly since it followed a blindside and the first diamond veto in years. Symbolic of this lackluster season. Most of them napped around the pool, and there were great long silences with no sounds at all other than the ambient area noises. Mallory told Drew she doesn't want to blindside Yash with anti-Kamu votes if he loses Block Buster, and later she told Taylor this is their best chance to get Kamu gone without bloody hands. They agreed they should be safe as long as the three vets are still there in front of them, but they'd like to see two of them gone before jury. There was some talk about the rookies' revolution LaLa tried to launch, but I'm not buying it again. Fool me once et cetera, but it's hard to believe all that was only a week ago. Drew seemed to have been given a heads-up in the gym to talk to us, like Angela was given awhile back, and he launched into a season rehash and lengthy self-promo, eventually coming around to the final Time Capsule vote. It all sounded disingenuous to me, and to add insult to injury, he tried to re-create Dr Will's famous camera flirtation. Of course it wasn't the same: it was a hollow impression with zero creativity, and it felt like AI slop. LaLa made Angela's birthday cake, some of which stuck to the pan but she thought she could fix it. A talent show is still tentatively planned for later, including Melody roasting Angela. I can't see that ending well, but maybe they'll surprise me. Taylor got annoyed at BB for not delivering knives, so she arranged a cucumber and a couple avocados in a suggestive way, and held them up, saying "put that on the live feeds, WHERE'S THE KNIVES?!" They had family dinner for Angela's birthday, courtesy of Taylor, though it was mostly quiet, with people roaming around. And then they put on the tiny party hats, sang the BB birthday song, and had cake, courtesy of LaLa. From there they gathered in the yard for the long-awaited variety and talent show. Everything had been relatively quiet and subdued up to then but Taylor emceed the show with enthusiasm and leaps. The acts were as follows: Dee failed at doing a handstand; Yash disappeared behind a blanket; Kamu had nothing prepared, saying he came as an audience member; Barrett and Mallory plus Melody did the happy birthday Angela percussion song they'd been working on; Haley did softball pitches; LaLa did a successful headstand; Devens' entire act was pre-empted behind WBRB; Mallory did a back somersault then recited the pledge of allegiance and alphabet backwards, rapidly; Kamu came back to beat up Drew with an MMA demo; Melody roasted Angela with three tame jokes; Taylor did not-splits; and Angela wrapped up by thanking them all and giving a motivational speech.If you missed what came before, click 'previous Hamsterwatch episode' up top and/or use my season directory.
