Her meetings today were mostly her talking about being a victim of "mean girls" and angrily proclaiming how unemotional she's playing. Her plan is still to nominate Melody, Taylor, plus Drew "as a pawn" without naming him to some. But Drew and Barrett caught on and Drew asked outright if he'll be her pawn and she wouldn't confirm. Barrett sais he's "not comfortable being a pawn" and stressed his poor comp performance, if her goal is for her pawn to win veto. Mallory was sad and Melody was irate hearing the bad news, with Mallory paranoid about being the real target and Melody rightfully angry about Haley's continual complaints about her horrible three weeks, when she's been 100% safe since moving in, and Melody, Mallory, Lyric have not. Angela giddily exchanged gossip with Haley, mostly about Taylor and LaLa. I didn't hear what the comment was about but Angela got my attention when she said to "put Taylor in her place now." Time Capsule #3 will be awarded today, which we may or may not find out about depending what it is. Drew seemed extra chirpy around the time the winner would be notified. He was next behind Jason in Big Brother Network Week 3 poll, and they're usually accurate predictors. Taylor finally met with Haley, who ran her loops about being talked about and mean girls. Taylor replied "Taylor ain't said shit" and said she's guilty by association because she's friends with LaLa who Haley's had problems with from the start, adding "I can't talk to the only other Black girl?" And Taylor asked "did you feel I was being rude to you?" Haley said yes, and Taylor said "I was?! Okay, I can't do anything about that." It felt futile but Haley met with Angela, Chuk, Dee, Devens afterwards and asked if they'd have any problems with swapping Drew as target instead of Taylor, and they didn't. Their only question was whether to put him up initially or as a renom. They agreed to put him up today and hope he doesn't win veto, so the plan is now Drew, Lyric, Melody.More later If you missed what came before, click 'previous Hamsterwatch episode' up top and/or use my season directory. Day 24 - Thursday - July 30, 2026 A few catch-up items: Devens told Angela he's done with Drew and hopes to be the one to give him the boot. F2s Dee/Devens and Kamu/Yash joined forces and called themselves Wolfpack. (I don't know but I'd bet money that name was Kamu's idea.) As of this morning, today's vote is still a mess if Jason wins Block Buster. Kamu told Taylor that LaLa has the votes to stay, but Lyric and Melody may give sympathy votes to Mallory, and he later gave Lyric permission to do just that. It's not uncommon for a sloppy, waffly vote to end up being a non-event, but for that to happen tonight, it would mean we lose Jason and I don't want to think about that possibility. The show's lengthy recap segment reminded me what a snooze this week was, with endless and dispassionate waffling about a Mallory vs LaLa vote, a dozen Toolshed graphic cards, and Melody calling something "the determinator." And sure enough, as I accidentally predicted this morning, it all came to nothing because Mallory won the Blockbuster Block Buster with eight videotape returns, just a hair ahead of Jason's seven. LaLa toppled her Jenga VHS tower and was out very early with only two. When the competitors re-entered the living room for strategizing round robin hugging, Jason said "don't touch me, Kamu" when Kamu tried to appear to make nice.Incidentally, Kamu set off the Scandals Outside our BB World tally today by hitting TMZ for an ugly Instagram post from December - see Links of the Day below. LaLa's speech included a cute bit asking to keep her because she actually can hit a ball (though there's still no evidence of that). Jason's was passionate and logical, imploring them to see what's happening and how it's going to look, that "they" will bully the designated target and lie about them, and to keep him as a shield if they want to avoid blood because he'll be Ms Dracula, "I'll suck the blood." And he wrapped it up with "don't be a boring season!" But it was no use, and he was evicted unanimously. His face fell when Julie said "by a vote of twelve to zero" but he rallied on his way out to hand out tea bags at the door.![]() His gloom soon turned to joy as he came out the door to Julie ting-ting-tinging her own tea kettle with a wooden spoon and the mood instantly shifted, even more than it usually does when an evictee hits the stage. She acknowledged him as a fourth reality icon, Salina from Drag Race (they still aren't saying Estitties on this show), and she told him despite his "hate me America!" table speech at Devens' noms/fight, he'd been in the top three for every Time Capsule vote. That thrilled him, rightfully so, and I'm glad he got to go out on a high after all. He is/was the star of the season for me. Jason's exit makes him the 41st(!) consecutive North American hamster to enter the house first and not win the season (28 US, 1 OTT, 12 Canada). Technically Tamar Braxton broke that curse on Celebs 2 but it still stands for every civilian season. And he's also the third of three to fall victim to Julie's curse this season: she did her Block Buster demos from Ashley's, Rome's, and Jason's podiums. Post-show chatter was as expected: discussing the vote, and the Block Buster, and Jason's exit. Dee and Devens celebrated another successful (for them) week, and she told him she hopes Jason doesn't go online to see all the hate comments against him. I don't know what made her assume there'd be many of those? No more than the usual slop homophobes spew anyway. He absolutely has a whole lot of supporters and fans, including a record-breaking win in Big Brother Junkie's popularity poll, and I hope he takes solace from that. Dee also asked Devens if they should tell Angela about their new Wolfpack alliance, but Devens said she freaks out about things so maybe they should keep this one to themselves. Lyric used the two hours of Youtube streaming time to make rounds and ingratiate herself with various others, presumably to curry favor with whoever wins HOH. She's turning out to be a very savvy and very interesting player. Feeds were down three hours for the HOH comp, which Haley won. That means I'll be taking a little time off this week, sorry/not sorry. Being featured in the game this week means she doesn't get her premature empty wheel yet, but Kamu's has been installed. They were wearing fancy costumes (maybe for the Wild West era?) and they had to hunt through rooms for specific items. She told Devens her noms will be Taylor, Melody, Drew with Taylor being her target, but she'll tell Drew he's a pawn in order to get LaLa out. And she said anyone who's "dragged her name through the mud" will be asked to leave her room when she opens her letter. She repeated that multiple times, and she got grouchier every time she said it. Angela, Devens, Kamu, LaLa were picked and/or volunteered as Have-nots.If you missed what came before, click 'previous Hamsterwatch episode' up top and/or use my season directory.
