Daily Feeds RecapsPre-season - May 2026 Feeds will be back again via Paramount Plus, and via Pluto TV (with ads). When the feeds start, so will my recaps. But the pre-season kicked off right on schedule on May 13 with the announcement that Season 28 will premiere on Thursday, July 9. Other teasers and tidbits will start coming along but for now here's what we know: the usual CBS schedule will again be Sundays, Wednesdays, live Thursdays, all starting at 8pm Eastern/local time. The first two shows, July 9 and 12, will be 90 minutes, as will all Wednesday shows. Unlocked will be back, starting Friday, July 10 at 8pm, and it will have a live audience this time. It hasn't been specified if it'll be every other week again, or every Friday. The press release teased the usual promise of a new season "packed with twists and turns" (which we probably don't need), and it said this season will feature "the most programming hours ever." If Unlocked is every week, that might fulfill that promise/threat. I just hope we aren't going back to over-long seasons again. They did not mention "all new" houseguests, which could imply one or more vets (boo!) And they hyped up how the show's 1,000th episode is coming up. Specifically, they called it "a historic milestone" (true), and they said this is "the first primetime series to hit 1,000 original episodes." But that claim arguably has some challengers with 60 Minutes, Cops, 48 Hours, Larry King, WWE Raw, and Nova. If they meant weekdays-only primetime, entertainment programs, non-cable, on the big three broadcast networks, maybe they could claim that record.
