Barrett campaigned to Devens' oven mitt puppet Drewnior, both of them using all the usual boilerplate clichés, making it pretty funny especially with Devens' quick wit thrown in there. He also sprinkled in some subtle seed-bombs, like saying Dee often just grabs a pot without any insulation, adding "I don't even know if I'm necessary for her game." (This one was doubly good because Dee never cooks.) Taylor told Chuk he needs to do some manscaping because he's leaving a scent behind him in the toilet. She retold his reaction to LaLa and Mallory but didn't tell them the topic, saying she didn't want that to become a thing - oop, too late. Haley and Chuk ran their loops, like they do, and they still didn't campaign much. Haley added that she'll "never drag Angela's name" on the internet, she doesn't want to leave the house on bad terms, and she said she decided this week "while on the block" to become a mentor for children. Chuk said she's better than him because he doesn't want to make peace, since these people don't exist in his reality. Drew told Dee that Yash is playing everyone; Dee told Kamu with Devens present that the three of them won't ever be a higher priority for Yash than LaLa and Taylor; Taylor told Yash about Primaries with Devens and Kamu and their tethers (Yash was promoted from tether to member), and they talked about the FAP four being the majority voters soon, and in jury. Angela asked Dee why they don't bring Mallory and Melody into their circle, since Drew already told them about Crossovers. Dee said she'd just wanted to bring them in for this vote, not permanently.Chuk or Haley will still be going if they're against Barrett tomorrow, but a Chuk versus Haley matchup is still wafflish. There is still a vets-approved movement to boot Chuk and blindside LaLa and Taylor, but Dee's still driving this game and she sometimes switches it up to issue instructions at the last minute. In the gym, Kamu and Yash invited ladies who want to have their babies to send them baby emojis on Instagram. Then Kamu said to Melody "what's your IG? Hey, we're getting you pregnant, like it or not." This is the kind of thing that earned him a premature empty wheel from me. Melody replied "no, I don't like it." LaLa and Taylor had a talk about Kamu's virtues, and they weren't being sarcastic. Devens, Kamu, Yash formalized Bermuda Triangle, which is basically a no-girls-allowed Wolf Pack and Primaries, since it just excludes Dee and Taylor, respectively. Mallory loudly narrated another lengthy pantomime plane flight with loud passengers, including most or all of the current residents, more screaming, and more shaky cam. Even Chuk and Haley came out of self-imposed hibernation to participate, upon Dee's invitation. Pluto released an uncensored version of the Angela versus Haley fight (see Links of the Day below); the official BB socials put out gag memes including "RT if you're a true FAPper" and "who suffered more?" with side by side pics of Haley and Jesus; and the episode finally shattered the very overused Toolshed graphic and added a FAP one. Yep they did. Is our little show finally getting its edge back after so many bland years? Maybe. After the loud Mallory-led group plane activity, there was a round robin of whispers and complaints because Mallory and Melody were annoyed at Drew for leaking something. I believe Drew told Dee that Mallory said she'd put up the "icons" and/or Kamu, and Dee told that to Kamu, but Barrett thought Drew told Kamu directly. This morning's talk about asking Mallory/Melody into Crossovers, temporarily or permanently, may also have been a factor. Kamu talked at Mallory about it all, putting blame on Lyric for something or other (because why not, she's gone and can't answer accusations). Mallory later asked Barrett about it as he packed, but he said he didn't remember. I don't know if the details are as important on this one as much as the fact that FAP is already showing cracks, especially between Mallory/Melody and Drew, and once again, Dee was instrumental in getting people riled up.Haley and Angela had a verrrry long bathroom hug, just a game/no hard feelings etc, and Angela said when she left, sniffly, "I don't know why I let myself love people so much, I do, I love her." Have-nots ended their forced fast with everyone present for the countdown. If you missed what came before, click 'previous Hamsterwatch episode' up top and/or use my season directory. THANK YOU SO MUCH for reading the site, following me on Bluesky, and supporting me on Patreon or Ko-fi! Day 36 - Tuesday - August 11, 2026 Last night Angela, Barrett, Dee were giggling and goofing off, which led to chucking Doritos at sleeping Devens until he wasn't sleeping anymore. They thought it was hilarious and he was a good sport, but clearly didn't think it was all that funny. He retold this morning, with laughter: "I was bullied last night - that was a total joke! Shattered Doritos in my clean sheets, and oil stains - no it's fine. I felt like a victim, but it's fine." The retell was all very Haley-esque. Also this morning, Barrett and Drew met in the pantry to discuss last night's revolution meeting in HOH. Both said they haven't told Dee or Devens yet but they kind of wanted to, and they thought maybe they'd tell them on Thursday for HOH comp purposes. They were also concerned about dropping Mallory and Melody in the middle of a mess. Drew said he'll let Barrett take the lead on it all since he's on the block, and any of this could potentially put him in actual jeopardy.Taylor told Devens that Barrett and Drew "just idolize you a lot" and she asked which he'd prefer as his tether in their Primary Colors/Primaries alliance. Devens said he'd have to think about it, adding he's closer to those two guys than he is to Dee. (Sure, Jan.) And Taylor told him she'd heard the "Littles" (Mallory and Melody) want to go after the "icons," adding that was most likely because they and Kamu haven't hit the block yet. Devens acted like that was new information. Barrett sat down with Dee to rat out the meeting, saying "and then conversation turned to the 'icons'." Dee immediately asked who started that and Barrett said LaLa, and also "Yash was really into it." Dee lied to say "whatever, I don't really care." Barrett also told her the four's alliance name is FAP, short for For the American People. Dee already knew about FAP since Barrett ratted out that to her and Angela last night, and that it stood for Fuck Ass People. (They also made him give a cringey explanation for what fap means.) Maybe Diary requested a re-do with a TV-MA version, which would be funny if they let FAP ride anyway. Devens joined Dee and Barrett, and learned LaLa thinks he's the most dangerous but is just here for fun, Angela's here for redemption, and Dee's just here for the experience. It was agreed LaLa is really mean, especially how she's treated and talked about Haley (you can't make it up), and they all agreed to blame Yash for the meeting info leaking. Drew joined at some point, and they decided they should probably tell Angela about the revolution plans, and so they did. A little later Devens told LaLa he'd like to go back and do Survivor again and she said "oh really?!" Recall that one of her (valid) talking points last night was that all three of them hadn't only done one show before, but they'd all done multiples already, and Dee won. Kamu kept running his loops to whoever he could corner for a half hour or more. Chuk and Haley kept running their loops to each other because they're better and smarter than everyone else, and now they're "literally Janelle and Howie" per Haley. Anti-Kamu convos happened in various rooms with various people.I knew a mixed vet/rookie season would heavily favor the vets because that's how BB works, and especially when they get twist advantages. I fully expect one of them to win, probably Dee, and that's what it is, but I was excited last night when it looked like the rookies might actually make them work a little for it. But no such luck. Designated superfans Barrett and Drew being the ones to rat out their fellow newbies was a huge disappointment but also not really surprising I guess. This is like that time in Star Wars when Luke and Han Solo said fuck it, let the Empire win, what's it to us? Afternoon brought Chuk and Haley continuing their isolated boasting, ranting, and poor me-ing; the return of dropping teabags off the balcony into a bowl; a hilarious LaLa and Taylor bash 'n drag session; a who most needs/deserves the money convo (stop that); highly random TMI sex stories; and an extended Devens oven mitt puppet session that was silly and fun, and also had some subtle shade, such as "here's my impression of Angela: sex sex sex, sex sex sex." Angela and Yash wondered why it's called napoleon ice cream (did he like it? Is it the colors of the flag?) but they didn't know it was a trick question because it's actually neapolitan, as in Naples. Somebody tell them later. Barrett had a solo study session in the gym which was good to see, and he said "if they want to view me as someone who is nice and cuddly and smells good or whatever, I'll take that." And then he gave me my first feeds shoutout in years, along with a number of other recappers, updaters, and podcasters. Hey Barrett, hey! I'll ease up griping about your do-nothing for awhile after that - yes, I can be bought that easily. ![]() Angela started playing with butter knives while making dinner with LaLa, clanking them together like they were spoons and teakettles, when one went flying. Loud and far. She said she won't do that again. Mallory and Barrett did a very loud and very extended airplane flight skit, which grew and evolved until their FAP-mates joined as additional passengers, and the plane crashed. Feedmasters pitched in by giving her a shaky cam for a (semi) realistic effect. Clips of both monumental events are below in Links of the Day. Later Mallory gave a very loud New York bus tour that also crashed or came close, and the shaky cam was over-used just like real movies. Day 35 - Monday - August 10, 2026Last night Dee whispered to Kamu in the pantry that Taylor told Drew the three vets and Kamu are the only ones who've not hit the block. (This is true, and Kamu hadn't realized it yet, but sharing it is likely seeds for Dee's anti-Taylor campaign.) And Kamu said he pulled Angela into the gym meeting for his family's and viewers' entertainment, but Dee had already heard that since he previously told Devens, Drew, Yash. And he talked about forming another big alliance. Dee said "something's off" heading into the veto meeting. But maybe Dee sensed or saw Barrett, Drew, Mallory, Melody having a very lengthy meeting in the open, in the yard last night. They started out joking, with a FAP rock ceremony skit and workshopping alternate names for if/when Diary tells them they can't go by FAP or Fuck Ass People, but that led to actual planning and strategizing(!) as they realized they'll soon be a voting majority. They talked about booting Chuk instead of Haley this week, and targeting the other one if the HOH comp is a knockout comp. Mallory thought they aren't seen as a foursome, just duos, which is a very wrong assumption, but also loops back to me wondering if Dee saw them all out there, or if anyone else did. This morning everyone socialized in the yard before veto meeting, including Haley, who finally perked up some. She and Angela both told cringey family stories to different groups at the same time, which was awkward for all. Haley gave a final pitch to Kamu, and Angela, Barrett, Dee, Yash talked about their future group chat which might have emoji tension since Dee doesn't like them and Yash loves them. Mallory and Yash talked about ensuring Chuk, Haley, Kamu all get gone before jury because nobody wants to be in the jury house with them, per Yash. He said after that it's wide open, but he did float the idea of maybe going for the three "icons" after that. I rarely report weeks-ahead plans because they never stick, but I'm all for Angela, Dee, Devens having to sweat at least a little at some point. Also pre-veto meeting, Dee told Angela about Drew telling her Taylor noticed the three of them and Kamu haven't been nominated yet (dun-dun-dunnnn). Kamu didn't use his veto, and Devens didn't use his either obviously, so the pre-veto slate remains intact going into Block Buster for the first time this season. Taylor said she heard Chuk say he'll have the votes to stay if it's him versus Barrett, and she said "who does he think he has the votes from? It's that damn hat." Melody added "it's crushing his head." Haley was a certain goner when the week started but if Barrett wins the Block Buster, Chuk might go instead. But it's ages til they vote, with a lot of waffles between now and then. Drew asked us if that really happened, did Kamu really not use veto on either of his "two closest allies"? That surprised me, as I thought Drew was paying at least a little attention to the bigger picture. Angela said she's tired of the "kiss ass" stuff from Taylor after Dee told her Taylor made a burger for Kamu. (Angela makes it so easy for Dee's little seed-bombs to take root.) Taylor tried to coach Chuk to campaign, even scolding him for saying he knows the show when he doesn't, but he kept arguing that he's "got the intel" and knows what's going on. She told him he's next on everyone's list after Haley which may have got his attention a little, and she told him to get to work but "without the hat," but instead he went to hang out with Haley. Retelling that to LaLa and Angela, Taylor said "he's an idiot" which Angela pushed back on a bit. Then she told Angela "someone" was pitching the idea of getting the three "icons" out before jury, so Angela will likely start spiraling again before long about that. The yard will be closing in the morning, and LaLa said she's having an HOH wine party tonight. A slow afternoon exploded in gametalk all at once, as often weirdly happens. Dee and Devens had a check-in, including Dee being at odds with Taylor (and LaLa) trying to dictate what Angela does and who she talks to. Dee said "Taylor's been moving around" but Devens said they're fine for now, and he said yes when Dee asked if he'll let her and Angela know ahead of time if/when he uses his diamond veto. Taylor arrived, as often happens, and Devens "joked" that they were just talking about her. A bit later, Taylor, Devens, Kamu met about their trio. It sounds like they'll call themselves Primaries or Primary Colors, since they're the main core with tethers on the side. Those were still LaLa and Dee, but they talked about bringing Yash in to make a foursome. They'd be running low on tethers if they do that, and Kamu correctly said if they tether in either Mallory or Melody, or any of their foursome, the other three would surely know about it.Melody ranted to LaLa and Taylor about Haley, and everything in general. Mallory joined and chipped in, and they agreed not to let the "icons" take over the season. Drew and Barrett told Devens about FAP when he asked(!) and he later told Dee about that, and Dee retold to Angela that Taylor, LaLa, Yash were tight. It sounded like Dee was pitching yet another big alliance, saying they still have Mallory and Melody "by association" because they have Barrett and Drew. But then Barrett, Drew, Yash ended up in HOH with LaLa, Mallory, Melody, (and maybe Taylor by proxy, but maybe not), and they formed a rookies revolt. They agreed to get the survivor of Chuk versus Haley out next week, and then get two of the "icons" gone the next two weeks before jury, especially because this is at least the third major show for each of them. They decided they wanted Kamu out too but they could let him wait til jury. They may or may not get anywhere with all this, especially when Dee, Devens, Angela find out, but it was good to at least see them wake up after 35 days of those three being in no danger at all and just taking a stroll in the park. LaLa doubled down when she found out Dee's Survivor win got her a million dollars, rather than 500 or 750 thousand she thought. If you missed what came before, click 'previous Hamsterwatch episode' up top and/or use my season directory.
