Will attempts to remove his foot from his mouth.. inside he tries to shmooz as usual but Janelle's not having it, and goes back out to smoke some more with Erika     Boogie [to Will]: This is our fucking show and these bitches think they are gonna steal it from us .... Janelle [with Willboogie]: She did say that you called me a slut Boogie: That rhymes with 'she's got a lot of guts' Erika's getting some satisfaction now, finally.. Janelle's having second (and third and fourth) thoughts.. Erika walks past Boogie, completely ignoring him, and he asks himself aloud if Janelle told her something he doesn't want her to know, and does this mean he has to be a nice guy now?.. Will & Janelle take showers and she keeps singing "Material Girl".. we get flames but she's still at it ten minutes later     Janelle: 'Some girls cry and some boys lie..' [cut to flames] .... Janelle [10 minutes later]: I don't let them play (no way)..' [cut to flames] Then Boogie does something that I don't get but obviously means something to them.. he peeks through the door - only Erika's inside - and says "This is my impression at the Universal Sheraton, July 1st: 'Yea Arnold, I do have somewhere to be' ".. he repeats it a couple more times too, face & limbs only thru the door.. a later version includes "Yea Arnold, I actually have a lot of other fucking places to be than this"     Arnold Shapiro is one of the executive producers.. whether he's replaying an Erika convo with him or his own or Will's, who knows? Interesting stuff nonetheless, and cuts to flames each time Will attempts a Janelle check-in but it goes sour - she isn't playing along like she did 24 hours ago.. Boogie & Erika play some pool and it's also a bit tense - at one point she calls him Mike.. he notices and questions it.. Janelle studies the photos, like she does, maybe thinking she'd be having a lot more fun with them right now     Earlier today they stormed Diary as a foursome, demanding games or activities.. they got piggies poker or something, Chinese checkers and backgammon.. Will, Janelle & Erika settle down to play some and the camera crew goes nuts zooming in on GAMES and back to Will, then to the demon on the wall mural, back to Will, then back to the demon and Will again - THREE times!     Round two They all bed down - Will & Janelle in the red room (redrum) again, Boogie in HOH and Erika in her platitudes room Erika gets up first and night prowls around, like she does.. she goes back to bed and then Janelle's up and outside smoking.. Erika joins her and they compare more notes, in more detail They finally realize they've both been offered split-the-money deals - Banana Bread for Janelle and The Big Picture for Erika, and both say they were told they're the "first female member of Chilltown" (Shannon apparently having been written off in the five years since CT version 1.0).. they each slap their foreheads and say what eejits they've been.. Janelle says she feels humiliated, and both agree the internet fans must be going nuts right now Will wanders out too late and attempts to regroup with Janelle, but their whispery secrets have lost the touchy feely aspect that was such a big part of them.. Will goes for a very low blow when asking Erika about Alison's BB4 rep, pressuring her about how many HJs did she give and then kicked the guy out, saying "That's a true homance".. Erika doesn't respond.. Boogie sleeps thru all this They eventually turn in.. Will chats a bit to Janelle but it's different now.. she finally asks about his girlfriend and he says "She's my best friend.. I can confide in her" which may be the truth that seals his fate.. they all sleep We won't know for sure what happens til Tuesday's show - this is BB7 after all, and things flip a lot before Julie makes things official.. now that the editors have caught on to the Operation Double Date storyline they'll have some major last minute editing & Diaries to do now, which will be a scramble on busy live show day.. heh While I'd like to see Will & Janelle as the Final 2 for fun last days of feeds, and for a very tough jury decision between two worthy but opposite game-style candidates, I didn't want to see it come about like it almost did.. at least if Janelle keeps Will tomorrow, she'll be doing it with her eyes open and not blinded by stardust Give me a freaking break Oops and gosh, now where has this section gone? Oh well - easy come, easy go This part's still in place though: I've thrown in the towel, as announced a few days ago Hamsterwatch.com as it's existed since BB5 will cease when this season ends.. I'm tired of banging my head against this particular wall.. more on that when this mess gets wrapped up in a week The last picture show (Sunday) The last non-Julie, non-eviction recap show anyway.. I think tonight's show warrants feature placement since they've finally caught on to what's happening in there and are reporting it fairly accurately (who saw that coming?).. also a lot of folks will miss this ep since it's delayed til 2am in some areas, and there's not much going on in the house We got a little piece of a Will & Janelle dual Diary but I don't think they ever aired the one replayed by Janelle awhile back, where she asked about Chilltown membership dues ("How about three alliance members?").. that's too bad, as it would have played well This is definitely an anti-Erika show, citing "the Buxom Blonde & Dr. Delicious" opposite Erika's bikini crotch blurred out during one of her pounces on Boogie, and clips from the other night's downstairs HJ scene and her asking if it'll be shown on tv.. uhh yep We get a replay of the HOH comp, which is a football theme - Boogie still thinks they're going to get a field trip to a game, but this was it - Erika's bad edit continues here, with her grumbling that there's nothing sexy about her referee outfit     Janelle hosts as she's ineligible to compete, and she says she's "standing in for Julie" by asking the questions.. it's a Guess The Day something happened in there, and one of my comments on yesterday's episode stands corrected now: one of the questions is which day was slop introduced - Janelle referred to it yesterday as Day 13 but she obviously knows it was Day 12 after having just covered it (so she's misleading them about what she knows).. Boogie wins, as we know     We get an Erika smoking bit that makes her look bad in a few ways.. text in number 2 for this week's $10,000 (remember to give me a cut when you win).. the bulk of the show revolves around the showmance, homance, flirtmance, fauxmance theme we've grown to love & hate     Boogie [after Will tells him he has to do Erika that night]: Of course, dude.. this is old school, bro The show's focus is Boogie's stringing along Erika while she's seemingly really fallen for him in a big way.. we get more glimpses of their greenlight sessions that we didn't want to watch the first time, and their (bitter)sweet nothing whisperings.. they don't let on that Boogie & Erika have yet to consummate this thing in the traditional way, in spite of the cheesy porn music and accompanying (very intentional) phallic closeups     Boogie: People don't have this in their lives Erika: I can't wait to get you out of this house They make us attend the latest drunken hot tub party again, including Erika & Boogie's making a baby stuff - Erika in Diary says she'd like that and Will makes a comment about her bio clock ticking.. we get a bit of Will getting upset that his showmance with Janelle has "worked too well" with the glaring omission of him shouting at us that "the psycho blonde is ruining my life!".. we get Erika eavesdropping on Will & Janelle's makeup session and Boogie busting that up, followed up with her Diary saying she'll "teach our child spying lessons".. it's pretty sad stuff     The nominations are also sad - one key in the box looks pathetic, as does Boogie pretending to angst over whose to put in there.. yet another restaurant shirt hits the air, and Erika pretends to be surprised/upset at her nomination, referencing the BB credo "bro's before ho's" and that she'd hate that, and she'd hate going out third.. (oops, try fourth, again)     After this we have an eviction on Tuesday and start of the 3-part final HOH comp, another eviction Thursday, and the finale on the following Tuesday where they're going to cram recaps, jury questioning, welcoming back all the evictees and declaring a winner - all in one hour Glarika I try to stay away from the derogatory nicknames, but there's no other way to describe Erika's day They wake up late, Will & Janelle very late - around 5pm - Erika's in there visiting, enshrouded and glaring as they chatter Janelle goes back for a deep cocoon for awhile before getting up.. Will's been asking for a haircut and we can really see why when his sleeve-dana's off - his hair is anarchy     They play some cards - Will & Janelle are chatty & friendly, right down to their footsies.. they go for their walkathon and chat about their doggies and other things.. Erika glares from the hot tub     Will tells Janelle about Boogie's drunken rampage night, how he peed into the apple juice jar but they thought he was living up to his threat of peeing in Howie's meds.. Will sugar-coats it all a bit in the telling though, saying Boogie said: "Who do they think they are? I'm gonna kill them" (both of those were aimed at Janelle).. he adds "They're gonna show it on YouTube, it's so funny" - yep, it's on there, but she might not find it so funny when she sees it.. Will's basically running damage control all day over what Erika has or might tell Janelle about - she's threatened to spill all I still can't make new videos but it's always fun to review when this stuff comes up.. from Day 22 - warning, very explicit language: What set off Boogie the finale of a few hours worth of stuff.. video by Aldav Part of his rant two minutes worth out of lots of the same "I will kill her" and assorted similar nasties Peeing in the room into a bottle (not Howie's meds).. video by Attw x (YouTube pulled this one.. scroll down and hit Free, then wait for download link) Will's barber appointment arrives.. he's apprehensive and tries to direct but Janelle seems to know what she's doing.. he keeps up a running commentary - it's funny stuff     Will: What if I'm like Samson and my powers go away? Will: Am I gonna have fly-backs like Farrah Fawcett? Will: What's going on in the back? Will: Why is it going up like that? It's like a roller coaster for lice Will: Do I look like one of the Thompson Twins? Will: Okay, think of however Nakomis would want it cut, and then do the opposite     It turns out Erika's there the whole time, glaring again/still.. naturally Will's not happy til he's touched it up himself     More wine, less hot tub   Evening booze delivery arrives, they head for the hot tub, and things are looking scary For the most part, Will & Janelle are in one spot, chatting away happily.. Boogie's in another spot, and Erika in yet another - glaring There's no end to the Will & Janelle touchy whispery secrets, and then more wine arrives.. hatches are battened down all over feedster land     Fortunately things don't get too bad out there and Will & Janelle head inside, where she tells him things that Boogie's told her that Erika's said.. she doesn't want to say what, as she doesn't want it to get back to Boogie but Will pressures her and she tells.. Boogie comes in (leaving Erika outside to glare alone) and Will spills to him what they're talking about.. together they reassure Janelle that Erika's history.. by the way, Will's been referring to Erika as Scrubika all day when talking to Janelle and/or Boogie Willboogie go on to say they're definitely taking each other to Final 2 if possible, and are going to be horrid if they get there - they're going to be obnoxious, celebrate all over town, and will do their jury Q&A from the pool     Touchy whispery secrets continue through supper of chicken salad, which Boogie shakes up like he's mixing paint     They dish it up and all rave about it.. restaurateur Boogie's especially delighted and wonders why nobody thought of making salad before.. Erika spends lots of time alone outside, smoking & glaring.. Janelle shows off the evening's cookies     They play cards for a little while.. Will & especially Boogie focus on Janelle and ask her questions about "sponsors" etc but it's good-natured and complimentary this time.. Erika's clearly not pleased behind her evening shades, and doesn't make any secret of it     Will [later to Janelle]: I don't want to sit around with Erika & her glasses glaring at me Will: She looks like an x-ray with hair Erika startles Boogie in the shower and makes a show of peeking over the door at him, muttering something about his penis on tv.. he exits quickly and she goes in, making a show of needing a towel and showing her goodies as she grabs it.. I don't know, but the way he hands it to her seems to say something; his quick exit definitely does     Boogie hits the HOH bed and she follows (with her shirt pulled off her left shoulder, hmmm).. they share just a few smooches.. she asks how long his longest relationship was and he goes off on a long speech about his life and career and ends up saying "I know what I want in life, and I don't have to settle for less".. it's all really kinda sad, especially after tonight's show Meanwhile the other two bed down in the red room (redrum) again, telling touchy whispery secrets for awhile before sleep, and discussing a bit of the day's events     Will: Here's the problem with her.. she just sucks Glaring to foraging Erika gets up soon after Boogie falls asleep, like she does most every night she starts out up there She heads outside and starts knocking pool balls around, and talking to herself She's definitely not a happy camper, as she asks [Big Brother and/or the air] for just one more chance.. she says things about Janelle being a shark, what kind of name is Boogie anyway? and she wishes Jack were there and wonders if he's watching, and so on It continues as she sits down to smoke more of Janelle's cigs     The F2 camera operator jumps around picking up artistic shots & closups - empty wine glass and full ashtray, Erika's smoking hand as it bobs & weaves to punctuate her monologue, and her non-smoking hand placed just so.. it's great work that I recognize when he or she is on duty, and I've enjoyed it all season - thanks     She heads into the kitchen and starts foraging & eating in the dark: a turkey dog sandwich thingy, caramel corn, then into the pantry/conference room to stock up on Cups o' Noodles.. it might not be a binge technically speaking, but it sure looks like one     She mixes up one of the Cup o' Noodles, declares it disgusting, then takes a bite.. the bite goes back in the Cup o' and it all goes into the trash.. she finally heads off to sleep downstairs alone, again     Linkage Today's must-click special: Reviewing Will's pre-season interview He's talked about this one often, but not this part: 'If I am in the final two I will pledge every penny of the prize money (after taxes of course) to charities determined by the evicted houseguests. Note the remaining show schedule: only two eviction episodes remain plus the finale, which will have so much crammed into it that it'll likely be the non-event of the season. Clear your calendar for next weekend: jury questioning is withheld from us, but the fallout that follows is usually a must-see feeds night. It will probably be next Saturday or Sunday and while it will probably be taken lightly by Will and to some extent by Janelle, it should be a party for feedsters if Boogie or Erika end up in Final 2. HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD He's worried about Erika being angry when she gets out and discovers how badly he's played her but he doesn't seem to consider how hurt she'll be, and that's typical of his self-absorbed outlook on the game and, by all indications, on life in general. Even writing off having made prior evictees think they're safe to maintain the gameplan going forward, there's no reason whatsoever to do so now, and not addressing Erika's obvious concerns by admitting to the whole homance ruse now rather than let Julie tell her on live tv is not only cold, it's cowardly. This guy clearly can't stand to be around Erika anymore (likely due to guilt at least in part), and while it's true that she's been the pursuer all along and he's just gone along for a shot at $500k, he's clearly feeling bad about it and could not only redeem himself by coming clean but possibly make a friend (or more) for life in Erika by doing so. Boogie seems to have intimacy issues galore, which usually just mask a fear of being hurt. He could mend those issues a bit in himself (and in Erika) by playing the good guy just this once.. baby steps. NOMINATED As creepy as it would be to be under her glare all day and as tempting as it is to feel some compassion for her situation right now, we have to remember that she bought this one herself and has dished out to others (particularly Danielle) what's being dished out to her now. Tonight's show was downright cruel to her but it was pretty accurate, and that's a sad statement. It's no secret that she places a lot of emphasis on her looks & sex appeal, but she seems to have a poor image of her true self. She seems to allow her value as a person and as a player to be defined by others, particularly males, and she seems to have intimacy confused with sexual physical contact and that's a shame. She seems to be envious of the easy rapport, conversation & laughs that Will & Janelle share, but that's often lacking when people become bedmates before they become friends like she did with Boogie. She's handling her current disappointment and certain loss pretty well overall but it's ineffective: she seems to be crying out for comfort but doing it in a way that repels people rather than drawing them in. Tomorrow might be a turning point (she might blow!) but more likely it'll be more of the same.. regardless, she's been fun watching today. NOMINATED HOLDS VETO The weeks-old debate rages on: how much is she playing Will, how much is he playing her, and how much of their very sparkly chemistry is for real and how much for show? It's possible it's equal amounts of each option, and I think probable. She's narcissistic (and wouldn't deny it) but she's also calculating and bright in a very unique way that obviously works for her even though it would get the rest of us squat. She did come in wearing a target that only grew over time yet here she is in the Final 3 again, with potential to go all the way this time. Her weakness is definitely Dr. McDreamy and it's reminiscent in too many ways of her fondness for Michael last year but with a critical difference: Will's been urging her to focus on him and to work the game, rather than to give up and just lay around with him all day. Her honesty has always been one of her strengths in this game, and it's also what made Will see her as the valuable asset she is to his game along with her undeniable comp skills, of course. If she doesn't win that final HOH she'll be a goner but at least it won't come as a surprise to her, and she's got banana bread to fall back on. (Personally I'd still like to see Kill Will play out but we'll have to wait 'n see, as usual.) Watching for his weaknesses I think I've spotted one and was reminded of it again on tonight's show when he got angry with Janelle after their drunken hot tub tiff. Even though they omitted the really angry part, that was key since it's the only time we've seen him get riled over anything. He's dogging Janelle like crazy lately; on the surface it's to prevent Erika getting to her and poisoning her against him but he also seems to genuinely want and need Janelle's company most of the time. But the guy who seemingly has it all can't seem to deal with someone he likes being upset with him, or lashing out at him for something he knows he's guilty of. He doesn't face it head on though - he diverts and distracts until it's all good again, and the issue never really gets dealt with. In many ways he's as guilty as Boogie of leading the girl down a primrose path of thorns (and in the case of Erika perhaps guiltier than Boogie, since he orchestrated much of it) but in fairness, he's been pretty open with Janelle about playing up their flirtmance as part of their game, and also about not being available to pursue something further (although he says precious little about that to her, especially since their sparks really started flying.) Maybe he's hoping to keep Janelle on the side and at the ready in case Erin dumps him when he gets out, but she probably won't - and anyway, I don't know if Janelle would be happy to step in as second place in real life. They're perfect for each other in many ways but let's face it, both are attention sluts and that rarely works out.. as with most aspects of relationships, it takes a giver and a taker to make everything fit properly. We only got the BB1 goony guy with his Thursday night get-ups but he had his share of colorful moments and championship belly flops. He won an important veto by shaving his head & going on perma-slop, making him the most suffering but least complaining of them all. He's a very decent guy and a good friend to them all (even Howie), and I wish him only good things. She said she wanted redemption but she played it too hard too often, and got played right out the door. She spent a day in solitary, and 'got personal' and nasty a few times but she did herself in by trusting the most untrustworthy: James, Erika & Willboogie. Strategy & working behind backs are her fortes but this time she'll be remembered most for excessive ding-donging. He ran a self-professed 'Janelle hate campaign' when she had his back, and called her a liar, traitor & worse on tv but he hooked up with Dani on Day 2. He promised to be more fun but wasn't much until the end, when he was great. He plays the game well but too hard and personal. The Dolly Wars will follow him but he'll be ok: it's just a little harm. Love him or hate him, nobody can deny he's an individual. Two years running he's stayed truer to his partners than anyone while staying on good terms with everyone on all sides, in spite of behavior that would get most arrested. His act gets old and he drops trou a lot, but he's almost always upbeat and his heart is solid gold. We'd all be lucky to have a friend as loyal as Howie. He had early alliances galore but blew them all off to mope & complain instead. Editing was far from kind and didn't even give us his best but it's his own doing (like most of his problems are). Hamsterwatch Most Photogenic award winner, especially since he started posing for renaissance paintings. He said his heart wasn't in it this year and that he was saving his big moves for later: both fatal in the BB house, and not kicking out Will when he could was pivotal to the season. But he shaved his head for the game and stopped twisting his hair too. Good to see him again and overnighters especially will miss him. Sadly, she didn't stand a chance this year. She came in defeated & involved in a feud, and lost all her partners. Mrs. Smith didn't give us the fireworks she's capable of but she's always an all-star in my book and I wish her well. His alliances and behavior were all over the map this time and both got him kicked out. He went out the back door again but it wasn't intentional this time. So long, mirror-face. Not the most charismatic and she didn't start playing in time, but each side kicked her out so the other couldn't have her. Kudos to her for having the guts to return. She worked out and hid in a vase but the potential for catfights & dramatics left with her. She didn't live up to her skanky rep: good for her, bad for us.
