Default Next On The Sick & The Sleazy

Gosh - here it is cliffhanger Friday again on this soap opera. Since CBS has decided to forego game for soap on BB9, that's obviously the direction in which they want to take us. Sadly, it's not even good soap opera, as evidenced by it's dismal ratings on Wednesday night's first live eviction show, where they tied for dead last. I don't anticipate much difference come Sunday night, opposite this year's post-strike Oscars.

It appears that Adam's faux pas on national TV can't be salvaged by Sheila, as more and more is coming across the wire concerning Adam and his business dealings. Apparently, the website for his foundation is not much more than a fan site for Adam, many of the links don't work, and now BB9 has lost major sponser Lowe's over his insensitive comments. The Florida Attorney General's Office is investigating his organization, at the behest of outraged parents of autistic children. It appears that this corp. is set up as a 501(c)3 (for those of you who don't know, that is a not-for-profit and/or charitable organization), which is exempt from taxation. But apparently no paperwork was filed with the Attorney General's office, and the Better Business Bureau (which monitor's such charitable organization) also has no info or records on this corporation. Depending on their findings, Adam may come out of the house and go into a much, much longer sequester than he anticipated, like 5-10. This, combined with reports that he worked for CBS a few years ago, and has known casting director Robyn for 4 years, has everybody wondering just what's going on here. Interestingly enough, Robyn was the same girl that had known ED for a long time.

Next, in true vixen fashion, Allison has been pitching herself to Ryan hot and heavy. Her lines to him, badmouthing Jen while extolling her own virtures and stroking his ego, is pure, classic soap. Ryan is eating this up - what a clueless schlub. Allison has now decided that she would rather see Matt go than A&A (my guess is because his constant stalking of her is cramping her style where Ryan is concerned).

Meanwhile, Amanda was so shocked by Natalie's striptease last night that she covered her face with a pillow, and when Alex jokingly asked what was the matter, was she a virgin or something, she ran crying from the room. Although she never completely admitted this to Alex, after a long and in depth conversation, he surmised that she just might go down in history as the biggest tease ever to be on TV. Shades of American Beauty! Poor guy is now hanging off of the bed to get as far away from her as he can while he sleeps. I wonder if he dreams that he's falling off of a cliff.....

It now appears that James & Chelsia have decided to completely change direction and to target Matt & Nat for eviction, if they win POV. This seems to be fine with Joshua and Allison, although Adam is not too crazy about that idea. James thinks too much about things in this game - he worries too much about what happens next week, as opposed to getting the job done this week. He strikes me as being a lost child, like a teenage runaway, doing whatever he has to do on the streets to survive. I used to really like Chelsia, but her suggestion today that maybe the today's POV might be how to get out of a noose, along with another unnecessary comment by Josh, have turned me off to these (2) permanently.

Poor clueless little Natalie is going to be heartbroken when her friends in the house turn on her - almost as much as she's going to be when she sees Matt's insulting DR's and comments to his buddies in the backyard about her crush on him. He becomes less likeable every day. In a way, he's worse to me than Amanda. She's a bit unhinged, but he's just flat out malicious. The only good thing that may come out of this show is that it'll be harder for him to get a date than it was for William Smith after the rape trial that followed the events at the Kennedy compound all those years ago.

I guess that just leaves Sharon. She cracks me up, the way she's alway's lurking and listening behind the walls. She can dish her share of dirt, too, by golly. Reminds me a little of a combination of Allison on season (was it 4 or 5?) and Inspector Clouseau. She and Jen could be cousins, twice removed.

Finally, Julie's interview. Jen saying that she was fine trusting Parker, but Allison was the problem - too funny. Parker's look that he was restraining himself from knocking Julie Chen out of the way and throttling Jen right there and then - PRICELESS!!!
