Jury QA fallout was a dud

Well, I didn't mean to be misleading: traditionally when the feeds have come back after jury questioning, we'd be treated to a few hours of fun-to-watch ranting & raving by the two finalists.. that wasn't the case with Dick & Daniele tonight

We didn't even get much detail on who asked what.. in fact, the only specific I picked up was that Amber said Daniele had played an "under the radar" game, and that she was a "fucking bitch" about it

The fallout this time was emotional, but not anger and ranting at the sour grapesters on the jury like we expected.. it was heavy hearted and not at all fun to watch.. in fact, the father/daughter situation between our resident father and daughter felt much like it had back in the early early days of the feeds, with Daniele resenting her dad for being seen as the "better" player and Dick at loose ends wondering how to connect with his daughter, again

Well, it's not so much a rerun of those early days really, since they'd made some remarkable progress mending their relationship recently in there, and on their own.. I'm not even sure it was even a backslide so much as a huge disappointment to Daniele, and Dick once again not having the tools to cope with it

Before you start with the comments.. I'm not defending either one of them here, nor anyone else.. I've not once this season stated who I was rooting for cuz I haven't been rooting for any of them (oops, I think I said I was "rooting for Zach now" on one sidebars before discontinuing those, but I got over it lol).. I've disliked each of the 14 hamsters this season, some more than others, and disliked some at times more than other times, but there isn't one of them I really felt was worth watching for long other than Jessica in her pre-Eric days

So please post your Donato love and Donato hate elsewhere.. I'm looking here at the only dynamic that has interested me this summer and that's the broken one between father and daughter

Sure, he's arrogant and she's whiney - nobody's disputing those lol.. but I felt for them both tonight as I have many times watching them on the feeds this summer.. in the last few weeks it seemed like they'd really found a tentative bridge, and tonight it felt like it was washed away.. she was hurt and angry that the jury apparently felt she'd done nothing but coat-tail her dad and won some comps, but anyone who's been paying attention knows she's done a lot more than that so I think she's got a right to complain - at least this time

I think the unusual timing of the jury convening at midnight had less to do with Showtime and more to do with the AP polls shutting down for good at 8pm: long enough for Eric to get his task and set to work on his roomies in that persuasive way we know he has, especially with some of the easily swayed hamsters he's sitting with.. it seems that his task was to push for Dick and that would make sense as well: Dick is easily the star of the show and has been since the first episode

Plus Allison Grodner was present: we heard her ask D&D around midnight if they were ready (her presence could also have had a lot to do with the super-fast return to feeds about 90 minutes later: I think she usually works days and probably wanted to get home to bed).. she's always about more drama, trauma and heartache - at any cost

So instead of some fun times watching two money winners rant and cuss after being blindsided by pointed questions from seven money losers, we were left with Dick & Daniele in separate rooms, neither speaking other than a few words here & there: highly unusual for Dick in particular

I think Daniele has a right to be hurt and angry (just this once) and she seems to feel that she's "once again" being blamed for Dick's shenanigans of the summer when she'd been probably been expecting to win - as was half the BB web, or more - and Dick's left feeling guilty again.. not for what he's said or done in there, but for feeling he's hurt his daughter while doing all he could for her in there.. his gloating of the past few days has completely evaporated

It's a mess all around, and it feels like a no-win situation at this point.. I want to scream at them:

Daniele!! If they accuse you of being under the radar when you know how hard you played those comps and worked on those people, it just means you were even more successful at it than you realized!

Dick!! If they accuse her of hiding behind you, it just means you did your job well of protecting your child!

I sure hope they spend some of THEIR money on the counseling they talked about once weeks & weeks ago.. I don't think anyone - including them - expects them to ever be a Waltons-type kumbaya happy family, but they were so damn close to at least being ok with each other that it would be a shame for that to crumble back now to where they were when they'd come in here.. especially if that was caused by the often-malicious Eric turning the heads of the idiotic sheep on that jury, again, and by the ratings-seeking producers lending a hand.. they aren't even paying Eric a bonus for this late-announced final task: he has to do it gratis
