Dan pulled off one helluva HOH this week, and I think we should definitely give him his due. IMO, this tops Eric's switching the votes to Keep ED over Dustin season 8 - and I think Dr. Will would be impressed, to say the least. Is Dan Dr. Will or Eric - no, he's Dan. He's an intelligent gamer, who actually is kind of a cross between these two. But he's his own guy, with his own gameplay and strategy formulated by his own intelligence. He's obviously a chess player (he told Keesha the other night that he tried to be several moves a head before he made a move) - and I'd guess that he's a killer RISK player, as well (because in RISK you have several opponents that you have to out-strategize, not just one).
In my book, he one-upped Renny with this one, and she knows it (and I'm certainly not taking anything away from Renny's gameplay - at least up to the point where she blew her HOH by not putting up Ollie). That's why she cried after the VETO meeting the other day. By saving everybody, Dan possibly took both Keesha and Michelle - her final (2) picks - away from her. Dan knows that Keesha looks for 2 things from men...flattery and protection/support. Dan proved to Keesha that he can protect her while feeding her ego...whereby so far, all Renny has been able to do is flatter her into thinking that she could beat Renny in this final (2)...and Keesha isn't quite buying that. And even if she votes to keep Michelle (her backup), all it will do is split the votes, and Dan will still get rid of her in the tiebreaker. I think that if any of the (4) split off, it will be Renny - as she now has to backtrack considerably in her game plan.
Even though Michelle somewhat blames DTAR (Ollie) for her predicament, she still is so wrapped up in her crazy delusions that it's easier to believe that BB set her and Ollie up than admit that they both fell for a sucker deal. Jerry knew it was a bad deal - and I guarantee you that April would NEVER have made a deal like that (and if Ollie makes it to the Jury house, he's going to hear about it - I guarantee you).
As for the AP thing - Dan was ONLY AP for 1 week. Anything that happened before or after that one week should not be held against him (to be fair). As of early this morning, she and Ollie thought that Dan was really Spanish, Monica isn't real, Dan has never coached football, and he's not a teacher...and every time he says good morning to anybody, or goes to the bathroom in the HOH, those are tasks assigned to the AP. Oh yeah, and BB and America came up with Dan's whole plan for his HOH. I'm sorry, but that little grain of truth (for 1 week) in the middle of all this craziness should NOT keep Dan from receiving the money he earned. JMO;)
