after this double eviction Thursday it takes us down to 5 hamsters, Sept 4, would take us down to 4 - which means that Sept 9 HAS to be the live veto ceremony and the beginning of the endurance comp for final HOH - does this mean they've changed the finale to Sept 11 now?

Not if the twist entails that extra spot on the wall, or that "secret room" Julie mentioned oh so long ago, during the pre-season hype.

ooh what if the 14th person has been watching in the secret room all along??

I just can't believe in a mystery 14th houseguest who is unknown to the BB house. At this point, it's just ridiculously unfair since there are already jury members. (If anything hinky like that were to happen, like say, Monica being introduced to the game, I'd cry foul and jump off the Dan-wagon in a heartbeat.) At best, someone is getting revived. I still doubt it. The no-twist twist is the best way to go - they're all suspecting something. THAT would actually be something "unexpected" for a change.

I think we're seeing the last of the twists with the upcoming week in an hour this Thursday.

and I'm revising the finale date to 9/13 - I forgot they need one more show after veto eviction to show final 3 part HOH comp and do last live eviction - and they also need the three days to get last evictee to jury and do inquisition of the F2 and the F2 to freak out on the feeds for 24 hours before finale.

We don't have enough hamsters to make it to Sept 18.

honestly I would bet there are no more twists (well the double eviction but that's standard..) anyway didn't the producer say there would be no twists with the cast this year? and I think she specifically said no one would know each other didn't she?

According to Audiences Unlimited (the main source of the live eviction audiences) they had at one time tickets available for these remaining dates:

8/28/08 = 9/4/08 = 9/9/08 = 9/11/08

I whole heartedly doubt that they would be giving away tickets to the finale as I believe these would be reserved for such luminaries as previous hamsters and current hamsters families, etc.

8/28 two evictions, 5 hgs remaining
9/4 one eviction, 4 hgs remaining
9/9 one eviction, 3 hgs remaining
9/11 one eviction, 2 hgs remaining

so... this is where I get stuck in the reckoning process. I can't remember what happens during the last week.

Would 9/9 be the night of part 1 of the 3 part final HoH? If so, then 9/10 would be part 2 and the Q&A part 3 on 9/11???

And I know there are jury questions thrown in there somewhere...

I am fairly certain we don't have an entire week with just the last two hgs.

The truth is that I'm usually so exhausted by this point in the season that I just don't remember it from year to year (and I didn't watch BB9)

Somebody, help me out here (dingo??) Please :D

I've been going thru BB withdrawl due to out-of-town houseguests this week and have missed CBS, feeds, Hamsterwatch, etc and am desperately trying to catch up on the news......

Are we assuming there will be a double eviction or do we know something that will definitely happen?

Thanks bunches - I need a fix, desperately!

At the end of Thursday's show Julie announced that the next live eviction will be a double eviction. :)

part one of last HOH is endurance and would begin at the end of 9/9 - they'll do part 2 on 9/10 and show both of them on 9/11 with the final q&a leg done live and then the last eviction.

The finale (which I'm assuming will be 9/13 at this point) will show the jury questions and that will seqway into the finale.

Thanks for answering my questions about the jury questions and the 3rd part of the final Hoh. I couldn't remember how that went... :D

So you think the finale will be on Saturday? (9/13) That would be a first, wouldn't it?

I was thinking it would be on Sunday 9/14.

using Habitrail's handy chart (I need a chart to figure out this stuff) and incorporating Cherryred's HOH comp notes, I'm guessing no twists, and:

Thurs 8/28 two evictions, 5 hgs remaining
Thurs 9/4 one eviction, 4 hgs remaining
Tues 9/9 one eviction, 3 hgs remaining - endurance part 1
Weds 9/10 physical part 2, shown later
Thurs 9/11 Q&A part 3 and one eviction, 2 hgs remaining
Fri 9/12 Jury Q&A, shown later (and feeds fallout whee!)
Sun 9/14 Season review with Final Two or Finale
Tues 9/16 Finale if not on 9/14

pretty soon the online tv guides, DVR schedulers and CBS press releases will go out far enough so we'll know for sure

fyi, finale was scheduled for Weds 9/17 originally, when evictions were on Wednesdays

Excellent summation dingo - I'm going to copy it and put it ... somewhere...

Hopefully CBS will release something soon as most of my schedule info is only 2 weeks advance notice.

I'd pay attention to Zap2It - it's got the most up to date changes - TV Guide doesn't always update them quickly enough. They didn't have the changes to the schedule when football preempted the shows earlier this month, but Zap2It did.

good to know, thanks! I was using the term "tv guides" generically.. they can sue me if they want to ;)

I usually use IMDB's listings (since Yahoo screwed theirs up so bad now with bells & whistles I don't want/can't use) but I'm not sure if they are good with changes like that or last minute stuff

CBS will not give out this info even if you phone the contacts listed on their press releases.. a couple times in the past I've phoned my local CBS station and asked the program director about the BB finale date, and he's been very accommodating :) Maybe I'll do that again this week - or if anyone else wants to call yours before I get to it, please post the date

What if the "secret room" is the jury house quarters and they are nearby watching the feeds?

That would be a twist. Then they would vote knowing all.

I think I read somewhere that another country's version of BB does something along those lines (how's that for a reliable source-lol). That the 2 houses are on the same grounds, and I kinda' think they might run concurrent games...somebody help me out here.

some countries have done some really creative and outrageous twists.. their hamsters truly are up against Big Brother in an Orwellian kinda way :D

WOW!!! Ms. Internet Surfer (me) missed the most basic internet resource, Wikipedia. What interesting info. Thanks, Dingo.

I am extremely tired right now ~ so I really hope what I am writing is going to make sense to someone other then me. :D

I have thought that they would use the room that has been mentioned as a twist. They could have some sort of prize/money (which would not be disclosed to the hamsters) and as them if they want to leave the game and claim the prize. IF TPTB were to make this a BIG prize - I could see certain people volunteering to leave and take it. Who knows, they can offer $250,000???? There are people in there that just can't win - so I can see a couple of takers. To leave with something is always better then winning nothing.

It would be STOOPID to bring someone new in now! ~ it could have worked if it had been done earlier. We know exactly what would happen if they did it - GOOD BYE NEW HAMSTER...

BUT if was Monica - that may be interesting - even if they did it now - because Dan would do whatever he could to keep her in ~ and being Dan's g-friend and her picture she seems to be a very sweet girl - which would work in her favor. I think that Keesha and Renny would really like her (based on the limited knowledge of Monica) and that could work to strengthen their alliance - and hopefully get a girl to the # 1 position.

In years past, TPTB have always done a recap episode full of clips and such as Dingo mentioned. Sun 9/14 Season review with Final Two or Finale

I, for one, am very on edge about twists coming our way. I keep waiting on that revive-a-hamster to happen. However, it would be nice if TPTB could come up with something different instead of playing out the same old, same old.

Why are we having a double eviction this week if the season is already shortened? What in the heck does CBS plan to air the week between when BB ends and Survivor and/or Amazing Race begins? Sounds like a dull week unless they use it to roll out a bunch of dumb new sitcoms.

Showtime Too has BBAD scheduled for the morning (midnight Eastern Time) of Tuesday September 16th and not at all for the 17th. (Monday night for us west coasters)

http://www.sho.com/site/sho/schedules/pdf/200809sh2.pdf

Before you start planning your night's adventures away from the screens, Thefutoncritic has a BB episode listed for the 18th.

http://www.thefutoncritic.com/showatch.aspx?id=big_brother&view=listings

Because Showtime is owned by CBS, I'd tend to believe that source first, however, it's a big company and not very nimble or quick about updating it's information (unlike thefutoncritic).

Finale is Sept 16 - Julie told Ollie she'd see him back on the 16th for the live finale.

So now it's official
