With a bit of a shortened schedule I'm wondering what you think about the need for a 'twist' for a double elimination or fast forward week? I don't see that it would be necessary, but the houseguests sure think one is coming. Do they know more than we do?

The way I'm looking at the calendar; I think that they can end the season on Sept 17,18, or even the 21st and be fine. Ending on the 17-18th would mean they would have to go from 4 players to the final 2 in 1 week.

What are you all thinking, feeling about the schedule and whether we'll see the evictions sped up one of these weeks.

finale was scheduled for Wednesday, Sept 17 but that was when Wednesdays were the live show days.. now Survivor is slotted for Thursday the 18th at 8pm, so it looks like BB has lost one additional day

I think they'll need at least one double week, one way or another.. going by Thursdays:

8/14 - Libra evicted - 8 left
8/21 - 7 left
8/28 - 6 left
9/ 1 - 5 left
9/11 - 4 left

ass-uming the remaining shows are Sunday 9/14 and finale Tuesday 9/16, that's too many of them still in there.. they need to get the 3rd place finisher out in time to get him/her to jury Q&A and edit that down for the finale.. I suppose they could do that eviction on a faux live show to air 9/14 but it seems to me there'd still be one too many leftover?

I agree with dingo, I don't see any way around it. They'll have to have one or the other. The past couple of times they used it, in All Stars and 8, it was late in the game. I think 8 went from 6 to 4 - but they didn't use it last year. They used a different version, having Ryan & Alison evicted, and then they voted to keep Ryan over Alison.

I agree with you Dingo. There are simply too many people in the house to end the season on Sept 17 and they're going to get the 'twist' they've been talking about, but the question is: which hg will miss it because they're already in sequester?

I have a feeling they'll do it this coming week or next for sure. I think they may want to see if Dan and Memphis' new alliance is worthy of much screen time, who the next HOH winner is and who they nominate and then speed up the week if they need to shake things up.

I would like to see a double elimination different from what they've been doing in the past. In the past, they voted, kicked em out, played for HOH, nommed on the spot, and voted and kicked em out.

I'd like to see Julie Chen say, "Tonight is a double elimination and you are BOTH going home".

NOW THAT WOULD BE A TWIST!

that would be ideal!! except for BB8 when they had true double evictions, the other method they've used besides "fast forward" - the whole week's cycle in one live show - is when they've done the cycle the following day after eviction #1, and they record a show with Julie that they pretend is live when it airs a few days later

the problem with that is that they block the feeds for 24-36 hours and don't tell us ahead of time, so it's sitting around that long waiting for the fishies to swim away

I don't know how they could do that with their agreement with Showtime. I got the impression last night on BBAD that the DR tried to keep as many people up as possible. HGs were starting to head to bed an hour into that broadcast.

ahhhh, good call!! that's probably why they shifted from that method to "fast forward" in one show!
