I'm not too sure yet who my favorite is. But I do know that Jessica is SOOOO annoying. Can't stand that voice!!! And Carol is such a drama queen! Joe and Dustin are interesting to watch sometimes....Hmmmm I'm not thrilled with any of them so far.

Tell me about it! Carol is constantly overdramatizing about "God's plan." Why is she in the house? What does it all mean?

Yeah - not of them are very thrilling thus far. Some are just nice to look at ;)

haha. well i guess it's only the first week. once they are completely comfortable with each other, i think it will be more exciting.

I dont have a favourite yet I dont think, but I am digging Dustin, and dick makes for some interesting watching!

I defintely don't like Jessica. Her voice gets so annoying to listen to. I also don't care too much for Jen. She was freaking over her photo. Was it really worth getting that dramatic about? It's just a photo.

Forget what she is saying... it's how she says it with that freaky squeaky toy voice of hers. It send shivers down my spin. It's pitched so high dogs probably howl three miles away. :eek:

And I am not even going to get into it about her hair and those roots.

Last night, hubby and I were flipping back and forth between BB and the baseball game. Once when we turned it back to BB, Jessica was speaking, and it was such a horrible sound that all 3 of our cats got freaked out and left the room!!!

I like Dustin. I thought I would hate Dick, but he's kind of turning out to be interesting. Not that I'd let him babysit my kids if I had any!

I feel bad for her; if you know you have an irritating voice on camera, don't get on a show or talk alot! I’m a perfect example…and I’ve never been on a show…lol. We should get use to it…right? I hope!

They had to have made that up.....she must have kept her little sister when she was younger or something.....everything on the net points to very racey photos and modeling stuff....nothing about being a nanny.....

My kid will be 12 next month and I definately wouldn't leave him with her.......hehehehe......trouble!!!:eek:

I was planning on posting the exact same thing so I'm completely agreed! I realized yesterday that it's just as nails on chalkboardy as Holly's voice!

She's probably one of those "nanny til I get my big break" types. I'm sure if she is a nanny she works for extremely wealthy people and is always awaiting a call from her agent.

IMHO Daniele's voice is just as bad or worse. Danielle throws in whine with her squeaky little voice. Could you imagine.... if Holly were co-hosting HC & doing the interviews during a double eviction of Jessica & Daniele :eek: EGADS I would run out of the room screaming :p

I can't stand either of their voices and their vocal rhythm is also so Valley Girl. It is quite annoying!

:confused: I don't know what's with the high little-girl voices (everywhere)these past few years. SO many young women use them. Is it supposed to be attractive? Is it supposed to get them jobs in movies or TV? Dr. Drew of "Loveline" has a theory that most of the girls/women who speak that way have a history of being abused. All voices can be modulated... either by practicing alone or by seeing a professional. However, I think the girls think they sound cute and sexy.

It's the natural pitch of Jessica's voice.....I dont think there is much she can do about it. I think it adds to her whole wacky, fun, silly vibe....just like her crazy hair does! I personally think Jessica is one the more fun and entertaining hamsters this year! Daniele's voice is a little annoying, but the whine factor makes it miserable to listen to her....hopefully she will grow up and lose the whiney brat inflections?

Jessica has really grown on me too & is one of my favorite HG. But... I gotta say, I think it's funny that Jess wants a future in broadcasting. A voice like hers is not conducive to that profession :p

Maybe she can take some vocal lessons if she does want to be in broadcasting. Personally I just love her! She is funny and makes me laugh all the time. She is a person in that house that I would enjoy hanging out with, I think she would be so much fun. :)

I don't think it's an indication of abuse at all, but it's extremely common and extremely annoying. It's generally considered cute to talk like that for whatever reason. I'm a 23 year old from Texas, and Jessica's voice doesn't even sound strange to me because I know so many girls who talk like that. I think it's the result of having to play cute to get what you want all the time instead of just being direct. I do use a bit of a "little girl's voice" if i'm super-nervous, but never with helium like Jessica lol. Also, you get better assistance over the phone if you sound like that.
