Why can't I have an avatar?

When I click on Edit Avatar, nothing happens??? What gives?

Im using a avatar and so are alot of other people here..
If u go to usercp/edit avatar & upload image from computer or put a link from a site like photobucket it should work fine... be sure to save changes..

Maybe since I chose the most awesome avatar ever (Red Herring from A Pup Named Scooby Doo) the software decided that any subsequent avatars would be an insult. That's just a theory.

hmmm, when I click edit avatar I get the edit avatar screen with no problems.. try private messaging dingo and see if she can find out what your problem is... because alot of people here are currently using avatar's...
Only thing I can think of at the moment is maybe switch browsers?
I doubt that is the problem though..

Do you get nothing after you try to upload the great picture you are showing or before?

The problem might be that it is too big. Try to resize it smaller and see if it works.

Yeay!! It must have been Firefox, which makes no sense, but when I switched to IE it worked! Thanks everyone!

Now I am trying to get my avatar and being a complete moron when it comes to figuring out computer things, I have to wait until my husband comes home and can show me what to do. I think I may go back to school and take a computer course just so I can figure all this out on my own. I can post, that is about all! LOL I feel like a maroon!!!! UGH!!

YAY!! The Hubby helped me out and now I have an avatar! This picture is of my beloved Goldie. I just lost her a couple of weeks ago. I had her for 15 yrs and she was my absolute angel puppy. Just a little FYI on my choice for my avatar. R.I.P. Goldie, you are forever in my heart! <3
