Completely speculating, but - 14th houseguest?

I got so frustrated last night with the "no audio" situation on the feeds! Why am I still expecting Real to get it right? Could it be because they've been doing it for 10 seasons and I think they should know by now???

Anyway, I learned a few things last night when I watched BBAD for the time period of the no-sound-feeds.

Lots of hgs had shout outs to their friends and America in general. Keesha had a special message for Jason -- that he is "missed in this house". I didn't think anything unusual about this until about an hour later when she said that she wanted the houseguests to wish her boyfriend Happy Birthday at midnight. Then there was some talk of her boyfriend. Her boyfriend this, her boyfriend that. If Jason is her boyfriend and if she's already mentioned him by name, why isn't she just calling him Jason? hmmm... ok, maybe someone told her not to call him out. I dismissed it. Until... one of the cameramen made a big point of zooming in to the memory wall, where we see... 14 frames. yup. 14. And what's in the 14th frame? Just a picture of the white BB10 logo on a black background. -- So.. am I reading too much into this? or was there a 14th houseguest named Jason who left the house before Sunday and was edited out of the footage?

Or, maybe not even edited out of the footage. BBAD seemed to spend the first hour jumping back and forth between the groups of houseguests. Nothing new there. But, instead of chasing the action, they were jumping to actively avoid 'hot topics'. This was pretty obvious because the hgs would start talking about a DR session and the location would switch, or start talking about a person by name and the location would switch. But what really interested me and made me take notice was when Brian and Dan started joking about reshoots. So, maybe Jason wasn't edited out (hard to do for the 1st HoH picture vote that we saw last night), maybe all that was actually reshot.

Or maybe I've just seen too many X Files... what do you think?

Keesha was talking about Jason earlier in the feeds and she has a tank top that he packed for her that is way too big. I just think it's her boyfriend back home....not a surprise houseguest.

Yeah, the center frame with the BB logo is going to contain a 14th guest.

they said there'd be 13 of them for awhile before they were introduced last week, so it's hard to say on that one.. I think I heard somebody was eliminated from the final-finals and that they brought in an alternate, but I don't know which of these guys it is, if it's even true

I'd be more concerned about the 14th frame if it weren't a shortened season: they're planning on two months and four days, compared to the usual 80 or so days.. that doesn't mean they can't throw in double eviction weeks, fast-forwards, and anything else they want but I think they're getting the message loud & clear that fans & viewers are thrilled with having no twists.. they'd be stoopid to throw one in now IMO

Maybe I'm off here, but don't the ratings kind of drop down in September, once some of the other webs start their new seasons early? If so, that's probably why they're talking about a shortened season.

I don't expect a new houseguest, and if they do add one it's kind of unfair to those who have been in the house since the beginning.

I wasn't so much suggesting that a surprise 14th houseguest was coming in. Rather, that one had already left and re-shoots had taken place.

But, as Keesha has been talking about "Jason" packing her tank top (thanks sylleme :) ) it seems that I've just seen one too many conspiracy theory movies, tv series, etc. :o

Oh well, it's always fun speculating... :rolleyes::D

I wonder if the rumor about the "secret" room will be true. I know they did that in BB7 and not sure if they would do it again ... but wouldn't it be interesting if they put the first four or five evicted HG in the house ... where they could hear and see what goes on in certain areas of the house (main areas) and then one comes back into the house at some point.

This is BB10 ... you know that there is a twist somewhere.

They will bring someone back if the ratings are good and they want to stretch out the season a bit.

stretching it out is doubtful: the season's already shorter than usual by about 10 days, with fall schedule new shows on its heels

they could add/revive/whatever and make up for it with a fast forward or double eviction week, but they always claim the comps are all planned out far in advance (which is probably true as they have to buy/build all the apparatus and book the camera dollies, etc - other than Q&A phone booths, none of the other comps are spur of the moment stuff)
