Well, quite a turn. I enjoyed the interactions of Team Pink when they were couples, and the week after they were broken up as well, when the Sharon/Chelsia/Joshuah/James alliance came forth. I cant stand to listen to Sheila, and am not a fan of Natalie, so that pretty much left the 4 members of Team Pink.
It was clear early on that James had a thing for Chelsia, much moreso than she had for him. Then when they became actually couple-y, it seemed like she had feelings for him, but it was still questionable. When they were o longer a team, James was visibly upset at the thought of losing Chelsia to the other side. But during the week that James was backdoored & evicted Chelsia was supportive, and let her feelings show thru a little more.
After he was evicted, we would have seen a very strong Chelsia working closely w/James & Sharon, but very independent at the same time. However, James came back, and as Chelsia stated yesterday voting him back in was her worst move. She became a target by proxy as a way to knock out a strong member of Team Pink, if it couldnt be James because of her relationship with him. In much the same way that Matt was a casualty because of his bond with Natalie (one sided as it may have been), Chelsia will suffer the same fate.
But back to the point of this post. On Monday of this week when James' tenure as HoH was coming to an end, he set up this plan to make it look like Chelsia was breaking away from Team Pink. She followed thru with the plan, and it got James what he wanted, a split vote. But the damage was done because James had already started to talk bad about Chelsia (although this was all just a part of the ruse) to some in the house. After Adam won HoH James has turned more and more into what Matt was, the very reasons James wanted so much to evict Matt.
He has made fun of Chelsia nonstop for losing the HoH, and thus dooming Team pink to losing a member. While he thinks it comes off as cute and joke-y, there is a mean undertone that Chelsia has ovbiously felt. It got on her nerves, but she held out hope for the PoV. All the while, James & Joshuah, the two people she is closest to in the house are busy throwing her overboard as fast as they can.
James complains how Chelsia makes him a target because of their relationship, so he has no problem with her going up and going home. After two days of baiting from himself, Joshuah, and Shelia she finally snapped last nite, just like they were all hoping. Then James became Matt immediately going upstairs and trying to ask that her actions not be held against him, and going to Chelsia to admonish her actions (that he encouraged so many times in the past week).
Yes, having her in the house makes him a targer because of their relationship. She knows that as well as he does. But he should be doing everyting possible to keep her in there... after all, Chelsia voted him back in the house. He has a second chance to do anything he wants in there, which apparently involves becoming Matt. Chelsia wont get a second chance, and the only reason she is being targeted now is because of James. She knows this. But he has not comforted her while she was breaking down after PoV, he has continued to make fun of her crappy performance in the PoV, he has continued to talk about her behind her back and make fun of her, and he has become the thing he was supposed to be so against - Matt.
We know that James & Chelsia are playing for themselves and shouldnt have let personal feelings get in the way, but it is what Big Brother set this year up to be. Chelsia has come down from being the strong girl to a joke between James and whichever guy he is talking to. James has gone from being the guy smitten with someone to being a total jerk and a user.
So congrats James on breaking down the one person who in all likelihood would have been ok with your porn thing (outside of Josh). Congrats on turning her into a laughingstock. Congrats on becoming the jerk that you hated.
At least last year with Dick, we knew he was doing things to try to get back his relationship w/Daniele. That was hard to watch. This is meanness for meanness sake, and just as hard, or harder, to watch.
