I was also suprised by Nat and Adams vote. I thought for sure that Alex would be back, I mean they just evicted James 5 -1, and voted to bring him back 5 - 3? Weird. I wonder what would have happened in the event of a tie?

I think it's all "the devil you know" stuff. They were prob so worried about who might be brought back, like Amanda or Allison. I did think Sharon would vote to bring back a mystery HG, in hopes it would be Jacob, but no.

I was also wondering what would happen in the event of a tie. Would they have had an competition competition for them?

For a tie I would think it would default to the HOH like in eviction tied votes.

If anyone in the house had a half of a brain cell they would have realized the mystery box was the way to go. I mean come on~ you get someone that you DON"T want - band together, gang up and evict their butts that week. HELLO???? DUH!!!]

What kills me is that so many of them claim to be "experts" in BB game play and have watched so many past seasons ~ yeah.........ok. I have only watched the past few seasons and have never been a HG ~ but I though of this immediately.

Wow did CBS screw us all over royally with another dumb "twist". I totally agree with everyone that they duped us good. Don't they realize they are driving the few people watching away with this s**t????

Wouldn't that mean that Ryan would then have voted twice?

The whole concept was screwy.

After they voted James back, I think Julie should have told them they would have had Alex back if they'd taken the mystery box. That would have messed with their heads.

I was sleepy last night, so I could be wrong ~ but I thought I heard James tell Ryan that it was Jen in the mystery box ???

Oh shoot ~ I forgot that they all voted. DUH. Not sure what they would have done then. Flip a coin/random draw maybe???? Re vote until they get a majority? Kick them all out and bring in a whole new cast of people???:D

PS> another was it just me or....

When they were showing the sequestered HG's at their "homes" (was it REALLY necessary that they all had their "own" house. Why not put them together???) they made it a point to note that Alex/Amanda were not getting along and that he could not stand her (I believe that is an almost direct quote of what Amanda said), but when they were in front of the house and Alex was told that he was picked the two of them hugged for a long time and seemed to be the best of friends. Was this another case of CBS prompting/editing? It just didn't seem to make much sense.

I must say that I LOVED hearing Matt talk about the bathroom while Alison was talking about Ryan getting HOH after she was evicted. TOO FUNNY that it was from the second that she opened her mouth until the last syllable she spoke:D:p

Didn't hear the Jen comment ~ but YEAH I think that Nat would be kicking herself. If she went with the mystery HG they would have had a chance to get Alex and their alliance of 5 would have become 6. I have said that I would have loved to see Alex get back in just to see what Nat, Matt, Ryan and him could do (as far as I am concerned Sheila and Adam would be around for the #'s at first, but are easily expendable after their usefulness was no longer needed). Man :(~ that would have been an interesting final 4.

I heard that too, but I think he was just using Jen as an example of how he could hear Julie (or someone in the control room - not sure which) announcing the running tally.

You know, I didn't even catch that until I read this thread. But while I was zipping thru BBAD, I was wondering why, when james was telling of his experience backstage, why he kept counting the votes as one for him and then another for jen. I didn't pay much attention to it. I wasn't sure what he was saying and didn't take the time to rewind and raise the volume to hear it. But, I'm pretty sure that is what he was saying. If any of you still have the BBAD and haven't watched yet, take a listen and see if that is indeed what he said.

That's weird. Do you think that he's just messing with them, or if he thinks that's what he really heard?

Hmmmm, food for thought.:)

Maybe if there had been a tie, both would have gone back in. Remember, there was an extra disco ball in the comp that wasn't used.

they were seperated in sequester so they wouldn't know what happened in the house after they left. to keep the intregrity of the game intact and not jeapordize them going back in with a distorted view what's going on by a disgruntled evictee (like Allison)

Also ....why not just keep James? At least they know James hasn't had much time to sit & stew about his eviction, he hasn't been out of the house long enough to not know what's going on, etc. Also - why should they vote someone back in that's been out of the game so long and give them another chance at winning the game? Even if it was Alex or Parker who were evicted because of their partners. In the end, only one can win....why give someone who hasn't been involved in the recent goings on that chance?

James just told Chel that he just told Ryan that to twist the knife.

So did James know that it was Alex? Well, to answer my own question, I would guess that it wouldn't be fair if he knew and Julie didn't tell the rest. In reply to AZFan, I don't think Sharon wanted Jacob back from the looks of her face when they announced what was going on, I did not expect her to vote the mystery person back in. Bringing both HG's back in the event of a tie would have been cool, they could have worked that out with a double eviction week or two.

No - he was never told who was in the box - which, as I said earlier, makes me suspicious that this isn't over yet.

QUOTE]

I have been watching this season with one eye closed....trying not to fall asleep. I just can't get into it. I don't like any of them in particular... I just dislike some of them more than others.

But, if they kept the information on who was in the box from them, maybe cuz they are gonna do it again or something. ???????? Who knows.
