Like you, Dingo, I've wondered for quite some time why we're getting the cut aways on James & Chels when things heat up, but none of the other HGs - so in my spare time I did some research. It took me a while, and I finally found out Chelsia's last name - Hart. But after much googling, all I could find about her father is that he's a county Transportation Director in Iowa. Unless he's related to some CBS exec in some way, that's certainly not going to give him the clout that leads to censorship. I could find nothing on her mom other than she, too, auditioned for BB -so I don't see anything there, either.
That leads me to believe either one of (2) things - that the censorship is coming from James' connections and not Chel's, or that another rumor that I read just might be true...
THIS IS BASED ON SPECULATION AND RUMOR ONLY - AND NOT CONFIRMED FACT:
I had read on another board that Chels is a German major, and has spent some time in Germany. I also read that she had to have permission from the German army to appear on the show. Diplomatic relations would definitely be enough pressure on CBS and their affiliates to warrant such censorship.
Again - I repeat this is based only on what I've read, not on any confirmed fact.

What's that clothing company that is sponsoring James on his bike ride...American Apparel was it? Could they be affiliated with or a subsidiary of any of CBS's big sponsors? Just a random thought.

I don't know why the German army would have any say? that sounds like a rumor gone wild to me but I'm at a loss to explain it, unless she's getting mad feedback/ratings at CBS and her handlers are coddling her folks somewhat because of all the James scandals :confused:

As usual, I missed what was right under my nose (lol) - which actually would make me good HG material.
It sounds like rumor to me, too - unless she has dual citizenship and is a member of the German military. I used to work for a fellow who had dual citizenship, and was an officer in the Israeli army.

I was just listening to Josh talk about tonight's HOH comp and its "mental" component.. it's mind-boggling that an all-night lockdown with heavy construction noises doesn't alert them that a physical comp might be coming :D

It's not improbable that the larger porn companies have some stock in amateur websites. I know this is common in *other* industries. There might be copywrite issues to consider. (laughing at the idea of James' penis being copywrited)
It's just speculation, but it's more probable than that German Army theory. LOL

I see nothing to censor. Chelsia only makes out, while James is down for sex not only makeout. If the camera cuts its because other things are happening.

they aren't cutting James & Chelsia because someone else is whispering or doing anything.. they're clearly just cutting James & Chelsia when they start going at it, and have been for weeks
most speculation comes from a post on Jokers from someone who supposedly knows the family and was upset after lap dance/makeout night.. I believe it was this person who said the family wanted her out of there and threatened a "family emergency" to make it happen
anyone could post something like that so take it with a grain of salt but even if true, I'm not sure it holds up since Chelsia's just as scandalous (parental morality-wise) when she's not sucking face with James, they're starting to really zero in on this showmance on CBS, and I still don't see how the family would have the pull to come up with a "compromise" like this since they all signed off any rights as far as what does or doesn't come across the feeds
it's all *very* interesting, but we will probably never find out what's truly behind it

It makes no sense that Chelsea's family has powerful enough connections to have the feeds cut when she and James 'become intimate', but it does make sense that somehow - someway James' previous occupation might have something to do with the very strange feed cuts. It certainly doesn't have anything to do with the German Army; so what else could be the reason?
Not knowing is driving me crazy. Every other season they've shown everything they can capture. And, with the way they paired the couples this season we know they wanted to have as many hook-ups as possible --- so why aren't they showing James and Chelsea's escapades? You know it's happening so where are the clips? :rolleyes:

I couldn't have said it better, Dingo. No way does Chelsia's family have the pull to have the feeds changed. And, Chelsia is an adult with a past that her parents are most assuredly aware of. I would imagine most of the parents of this season's houseguests have been mortified, humiliated, embarrassed, and appalled by their offspring's behavior in the house. Chelsia's parents especially, are aware of the consequences of a hamster's actions if it's true that her mother applied for the show, too. Even more of a reason for them to not be the source of the feed editing.
The mystery continues, but is driving me crazy in the process. I hope someone, somehow gets the chance to ask the two lovemakers if they're aware of the reason their extracirricular activities were very selectively blocked from our view.

If James has any unfinished/unmarketed videos waiting for release your theory just might be right. He could still have some contracts outstanding that prevent him from appearing anywhere else on tape.

ok, not sure if I'm in the right thread (as always), big BB fan though, throw me into another thread if necessary. But I'm am totally repulsed seeing Chelsia and James make out after I have seen his porno shots. Does Chelsia know his history (ummm, f-ing around with men)? Does she have a history similar? I worry for her health, who knows what James has been up to in the past? And the whole "single mother" thing with Sheila.........wasn't she living with a millionaire/billionaire before this show? Is she really broke? If so, then yes, she deserves some money, but I doubt she is broke. Aren't they all "aspiring actors"???? Why can't we have people on this show who are real and perhaps do need the money and aren't looking for acting gigs? Matt is an ego-maniac, but maybe he actually NEEDS the money.

Another good theory is that maybe these two are into over the covers in full view of the cameras sex, and they cut away because of that. I can't remember if they cut away from Janelle and Michael when they had sex in the Gold Room during season 6 because I changed feeds (didn't want to watch it) but I think they did. When Jen and Ryan did it, we only got audio, not visuals, and when Natalie serviced Matt it was under covers ...

Janelle & Michael didn't have sex.. as far as I know, Jen/Ryan are the only couple to "go all the way" besides Amanda & David on BB4

I am pretty sure they did. They were going pretty hot and heavy one night in the gold room, and she straddled him saying something about the cameras being able to see them. I *know* I saw that. I switched feeds at that point, but I had heard from a few people that they had gone "all the way" so to speak.

Last night on Showtime Chelsia was saying if you want to have sex in the BB house, just do it in full view, then they can't put it on the air because it's X rated. I believe that's what's going on...a private show every night for the BB crew. Because she seems to have no inhibitions about anything else it makes perfect sense.
I highly doubt that they had sex in the bathtub last night... why cut to Ryan, Matt and Adam doing bible trivia??
I don't believe that they have had sex, but I believe there is video of her tossing him off under the covers.
Whatever is going on, CBS had better think long and hard about how to handle it... it's simply bad TV

the first time could have been on his (supposed) last night? they seem to have had a slightly different "tone" with each other since then
