Any fans? I LOVE Gordon Ramsey.
No one bitched about him when he called people various names on Hells Kitchen.
I think he may be related to Dick. For serious.

I like this show.. maybe it makes me a hypocrite... but he also didn't say anyone needed to be given it up the wazoo til they bleed among other things where I think dick crossed the line.. don't get me wrong i think gordon crosses the line too.. throwing food at his contestants.. the contestants also know more what to expect because he has been this way forever.. I dont think HGs expected to live with someone like DIck :) I also like Simon Cowell best on american idol and he calls people names.. and is rude.. but i like this show I like the bbc version as well .. but whoever would subject their restaurant to his show is a big idiot LOL like next week with the bugs.. I'd never let that air!!

On BB the contestants are there to win a huge prize. Mind f**king is part of the BB game. Dick went as far as he could verbally and never drew back his actually fist. I understand that his words were harsh, but in that setting....I always felt like 'anything' goes.
On Hells Kitchen. Or Kitchen Nightmares I guess.....its a bit different.
You are there because you think you got what it takes to be a top chef....being called to Gordons face and told " your an f**king retard who cant cook" is actually MORE insulting than Dicks verbal vomit.
Its all a matter of perception.
I would love for DICK to be on a celebrity version of Hells Kitchen

I loved this show. I actually think he went too easy on Peter. I used to wait tables and bartend so I'm pretty well aquainted with the "freeloading relative" and I also believe when they call in Gordon Ramsey, they know what they're getting. It's not like he's a contestant. The "Hell's Kitchen" staff are put through the wringer because the winner is about to be given a huge job with a great salary. Not just a bunch of money to travel around with.
You know one of last seasons staff ( the season Heather won, not the one that recently finished) killed herself? Someone from "Pirate Master" did too. Very soon after they cancelled the show. I know they have doctors and therapists onset, but maybe the contestants should have access to them for awhile afterwards too.

The girl from Pirate master killed herself a week or two after her boyfriend did the same thing. She had been finished with the show for several months. I don't think Piarate Master had anything to do with her suicide.
Was the girl that killed herself from hell's kitchen a staff member or a contestant? I think it would be different being on the staff of a reality show than being a contestant.

I searched around, and all I found was this little article.
( no writers name was given )
Hell’s Kitchen 2 contestant and chef Rachel Brown died last week, according to The Dallas Voice.
She “was found dead in her family home in Bedford on May 9, according to her sister, Dr. Mary Brown,” the paper says, and her “death is currently under investigation.”
The paper says she “left behind a girlfriend and two cats”; a memorial service will be held May 26.
Although she was eliminated relatively early in the show, she returned to assist in the finale and was quite close to Heather, although the show never identified her or Heather, the show’s winner, as gay.

I watched the BBC version of this for a while before..
Usually when a Restaurant turns to him.. its because they are in critical care.. Its suck up their pride and call someone like Gordon Ramsey for help.. or go bankrupt. I watched him make people sell their assets and take loans to upgrade equipment in the BBC version.. Sometimes he would help sell the items.. But the person he was helping is basically paying for their own upgrades..
I would of loved him to tell Peter.. "Sell your car to buy new stoves or sell your restaurant" In the BBC version I never seen him "invest" into a restaurant like that and always helped the owners find the proper funding themselves and showed them how to get the funds.
I hope that all he really invested in was helping them get a legitimate loan or a comfy payment plan from his kitchen designer friend for all those fancy stoves ovens and China that was given.
Was glad to see peter take the steps to get the Walk in fixed also. That was horrible.

I remember that - It also happened nearly 18 months after the show. I don't think her being on the show contributed to her death. JMO

I couldn't agree with you more!! I kept thinking that whole outside fight they kept previewing was Gordon having Peter's car towed away to its new owner! I was saddened to see the father pushed to the ground and the debt collecter trying to get on TV.
