Keep in mind that it would have been much better for Eric and Jess's game, to back door Danielle. But, Eric, in keeping with his AP Role chose to keep the noms the same. as he assumes we want Amber out! that was realy in no way a better move for him. He is doing what he beleives America wants.
Just want to give credit where credit is due.
I just hope the "real WEASLES" Donato Due dont screw over Jess as we heard them say....

Eric isn't that stupid. You have to give it to him, he is pretty smart. He KNOWS the direction "America" is going in. (ops, I ended that sentance with a preposition..)

Yeah I wish he had used POV on Amber (but with danielle going up) as well but do think AM. would have voted (and the producers would have made it Zach) to shake things up... so then there would be a hinky vote.. Danielle would have stayed and Jess/Eric would be guarantee target next wk..
I am not really a big Eric/Jess fan or Dick/danielle fan.. I was rooting for Jess but now.. well i can't root for stupid people as she really does let other people think/act for her and doesn't say "hey wait I really want to put up the donatos"

yeah, if i were eric i would have taken Zach off the block and put up dick. By taking zach off they are basicly gaurenteed anything they want from him. If they put up danielle there would be hell to pay from dick and especaily if she went home the house would be unlivible for an intire week untill he went home. I think they have got to get rid of dick before danielle and Eric missed a fantastic opprotunity this week!

I think no matter which donato they put up am. would have voted for the other person on the block amber/zach and jess would ahve had to break the tie.. and danielle winning HOH the next week would put jess/eric up

I guess I look at the odds of who can compete to win HOH.. out of Danielle, Zach, Amber & Eric I'd lay my money on Danielle winning given history.

Eric is supposed to be playing for America. It only took him 5 or so weeks to figure out that we weren't supposed to do what he wants but he is supposed to do what we want. I will give him credit for finally figuring that out :D

It IS what America wants, that's how we voted apparently. I think that regardless of how the majority of the people on this board feel, America wants the Donatos to be in the final two.

I am for dick and dani to the end. Although I think that dani should not get the money because she whines about everything and is completely spoiled. Dick actually played the game.
How would that work for the votes? Eric already won money and will get more money for being in the jury house. I also wished that instead of Janelle being just a host of something that they could have actually had a real twist and enter her in the game to play. She deserved to win last year, why not give her the chance again. That would be a real twist.
This season has been a real disappointment, AP is not a twist. They should have had a real twist. What a joke.

I disagree. I truly think that even if Eric wasnt America's Player, he wouldnt have played the game any differently. He has found an easy stooge in Jess, someone he can manipulate into doing whatever he wants. Too bad, because based on how he strong-armed her last week into doing something she didnt want to do, it blew his chances for a relationship w/Jess outside the house. He is no different than Boogie now... the only thing that is different is he doesnt bad-maouth Jess behind her back. Everything else is the same.

I would have to politely disagree with you about Eric not playing the game any differently if he were not "Americas Player". I think he would have done things differently if he didn't have to take his voting cues from "America" (you notice that America is in quotes and the term is meant to be used loosely). He would still be aligned with Jess, but I think either Dick or Danielle would be GONE by now. Zach is totally correct in pegging them as a powerhouse. If Eric did not have to follow our voting instructions, the smartest move he could make would be to split them up. (i.e. Danielle going home, seeing as she has the best chance of winning) I also think you are being quite unfair to him by insinuating that all he does is bully Jessica. I think that he is an aggressive talker and can sway her easily, but EVERYONE in the house has that effect on her if you have not noticed. I think they are both using each other as they both have admitted and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that in the context of the game. He is a very smart player and has done well with this crappy "America's Player" twist.

I do, too, and I think he is very worried about what she will think of him after this is over.
He should be worried. the way he pushed her last week to get rid of Amber instead of Zach, the way he refused to use the veto so she could backdoor Dick or Dani, both of these things will look extremely bad.
He has a choice with these tasks. He can choose not to try to complete one, such as the one where he was supposed to flatter Dick incessantly - he chose not to do it. He has a choice in all of the tasks how hard he is going to push things, exept for the ones where he votes to evict a person.
So, because he put his own interests (and greed for another 10 grand) above making sure his closest ally, and someone he does have feelings for, it will look very bad to Jess after she gets out. Especially if she is voted out this week, which looks likely.
My point is, he has a choice with how hard to push the AP suggestions, or he can choose not to do it and instead do something he thinks would be better for himself. But he is so egotistical with his role as "America's Player". He has become increasingly pleased with himself over the past few weeks, even when he was pushing Jessica all night long in marathon talking sessions that Amber is the one who should go, not Dick or Dani. Because he has a choice with how hard he tries to get our "suggestions" implemented, I think this is the real Eric. I dont think he would have played the game any differently. He was threatened by all the other men and their relationships in the house so he targeted them. Remember, he knew America wanted Kail evicted, yet he pushed the LNC to evict Nick. He has put his own interests above those of AP many times in this game - he is not just AP, he is playing his own game the way he would have even if he wasnt.
Because of this, any many other things, but mainly his manipulation of Jess over the past couple of weeks that is going to end up getting her evicted, has blown any chance he will have outside the house with her. His manipulation and constantly pushing of Jess to do what HE wanted because he was so egotistical in believing that America loves him - his ego was so big that he couldnt see how it was hurting Jess at the time, nor how it would come back to bite her just a week later. How he didnt see it was hurting her last week, nor how he doesnt see that her body language says "no no no" when he tries to get close to her just shows how focused he is on HIMSELF, not Jessica. He can act like he feels bad for her, but if you listen to his whining to Jess about her current situation, it is all "poor me, pity me" instead of trying to be there for Jess.
For Eric, this is all about ego. Jessica is just something that came along to make him even more pompous.

Actually.. he can not choose to not complete them. In his contract he has to give an attempt at all tasks.. so yes he could give a lousy attempt.
I believe (not an original idea but not sure who pointed it out to me) but he did not backdoor Dani as he feels they are popular. If he pulled Amber or Zach off the block and backdoored Dani.. then America made him vote for whoever was left on the block (amber/zach) then Dani would have stayed and what little alliance they had would be GONE and the following week Eric or Jess would be targeted.
I think it was a move he was trying to avoid another hinky vote .. and further problems. As for her body language.. Dingo has a nice shot of her hand laying on his kibble&bits so I don't see the "no no no" language. I think he was thinking of her by not backdooring one of the D's but she isn't going to understand that until after the game is over and hopefully she keeps an open mind and understands why he made certain moves..
Now if she chooses to think twice about all the things he said she heard first hand.. like the nasty stuff about the D's or the fact he told her Amber's secret.. and after being away from the house realizes maybe he's not the best person then so be it.. but if she holds the game against him.. well bad on her since she's also lied.. there is not one person in the house that hasn't lied or manipulated a situation. Not one.

Consider too, that with America feeding him information, he most likely thinks that America is making good decisions since we see the feeds and see conversations that he does not. He probably thinks it's genius for us to spy for him and tell him what's the best thing to do for him. Too bad he trusts that since most people wanted to evict certain people for the pettiest of reasons.

My question is why so many people BELIEVE that Eric has genuine feelings for Jess? He has lied to her the same as he has lied to everyone else in the house. It is the way he said he would play this game when we saw the intros in the season premiere. AP or not, his strategy was going to be the same. The outcomes would have been different. I just think he is playing Jess for all he can to have a solid ally and take a shot at knocking off a piece while he is there.
Eric is trying to be a legend in this game like Dr. Will and Mike Boogey. It won't happen because he will have the AP tag, therefore, will not have done it on his own.
As for the fairness or the greed of taking a sure $10,000, they are all here to win. Any one of these players would do these tasks for money, including Jess. It's a game. Eric and Jess are not Nick and Dani. Nick was blind in love where Eric would sell Jess in a heartbeat, like Dani did. The bottom line is that all the hamsters are here to win $500,000, except Jen.
Eric and Jess outside the house? The boy from New York City and the small-town Kansas girl. I'm sorry to say it won't happen. She is too home-grown and deep-rooted here to make it in NYC much less try. For Eric his family seems very strong and life moves very slow here compared to The Big Apple. I guess she could transfer to K-State and they could live in the "Little Apple", Manhattan, KS. I just know most people from back east can't handle it around here.

Wow, I know you are from Kansas, but I don't consider Wichita small town. Not with the BIG money in that town. I think Eric is the last kid chosen for the team, and Jessica is the cheerleader who usually marries the quarterback. She won't settle for him, but he would definitely be "marrying up" if he got her and I think he knows it.

I know you hate Dick and would love to have seen him go a long time ago. But why say the pettiest of reasons? Carol is the only one that got picked off for petty reasons, so I'll give you that one but what about the others?
It is clear that America has been voting for the success of Dick and Dani. That may change because of the cute little love affair between Eric and Jess. America has yet to vote this week. Mine is for Jess, but not for petty reasons.

My question is why so many people BELIEVE that Eric has genuine feelings for Jess?
I absolutely believe he has genuine feelings for her, completely aside from strategic reasons to stay "close" to her..
that said, I also believe that he has a somewhat skewed version of what "genuine feelings" are.. call it naivete, lack of experience, general dweebiness, or whatever.. (personally, I think the guy could use a puberty re-do)
I enjoyed watching Jessica on the feeds for the first several weeks but since she & Eric have gotten so "close" I honestly can't handle watching the two of them together, especially when they're in bed and/or doing the whispery kissyface thing.. it feels like watching children and it really turns my stomach
and that said, I don't think he's got a chance in hell of this whatever-it-is continuing after the show

TRUE.

Because the boards are FULL of posters saying, "let's vote for this person JUST TO SCREW WITH ERIC'S HEAD". That's not a strategic move, nor a move in his best interest or Jess' best interest. It's just to screw with his head.

So, because he put his own interests (and greed for another 10 grand) .
Is this not a game about winning money?? above all ?? I think no one goes on a reality show and finds true love ( besides ROMBER <puke>) The reason for most to go on TV is for the almighty $$$$.
So I cant fault him for wanting "another 10 grand". He realy has no chance at the PRIZE.. why not get alittle on the side. Thats what the GAME is about.

Like now on the feeds Eric won't shut up and let Jess go to sleep. Maybe it i some kind of subtle sleep deprivation tactic he is using on her to keep her off-balance. Worse than the early morning make-out sessions between E&J is when the camera covers Eric's 'alone time' in bed. Always a cue to turn off the feeds!! I guess it gets worse when the camera points out Eric fails to clean up after his 'evacuation'. Do you think CBS will give us a montage of those nights? There are certainly enough.

Exactly, that is what I am saying. He put his own greed above any sense of "doing the right thing" by Jessica. This thread has been speaking about how Eric is so hindered by his AP tag that he cant play a good game. I disagree and I think he wouldnt have played any differently. He trashes everyone behind their backs, he picks and chooses the "tasks" that we give him - how hard he will try for them. It just goes to show that he veiws his bank account over Jessica (which is entirely understandable). But some feedsters are veiwing the Eric/Jess pair as a new Romeo & Juliet *gag*, and Eric stated they are the new Will & Janelle (puh-leez). Outside the house she wont give him the time of day. He will chase her, but she will have too many guys - the quaterback kind she is used to dating, no doubt - chasing her.
